Day by day my resolve is weakening.
These wounds won’t kill me, but hopelessness will. In this wretched darkness, I need someone to shed some light.
It has been three years, three excruciating years that it’s even a miracle I’m still alive. Who will share my pain? Who will heal my wounds? But the real question is… who will liberate me? Do I deserve to die in this rotten cell?
Violet Samuels lives in Australia, being half Australian and half Portuguese, and is a young girl/woman that is still in her youth. Even for being young, she's never lived in one place for more than two years. However, the favourite place she has lived was on the Whitsunday's. Violet loved the Whitsunday's because it's where Unique Different Found all began and it's where her friends convinced her to go for it and have a go. Look at where that's brought her. Violet's passion she is most dedicated to is her dancing, acting and singing. She has been doing classical ballet since she was four, including other dance styles on the way. She's always been able to sing and always been able to act. She's been able to use these skills in different plays, musicals, dance concerts and eisteddfods. Violet Samuels is a bubbly and energetic girl/woman who is kind, caring and has a big heart. She loves to dance, sing and act and can't wait for so many people to read her book to let them escape from the rest of the world, even just for a little while.
So.... I actually did not mind this book... Similar to the first. I did not mind the first either. I actually like the story that the author is trying to pull off... I just don't think she is very good at it. She plays her characters off as stupid. Especially in this one. The whole pregnancy theme is the EXACT same as the first where they don't realize they are pregnant... Although ALL the signs are there and they have had unprotected sex multiple times during there heat cycle.... It just doesn't make sense that they wouldn't even consider the possibility... Very annoying when she makes them play dumb when they announce their symptoms. I also just don't feel alex... First she is a tough girl then she lets comrade boss her around and giggles and smiles at him after and then she is a tough girl again? She is so inconsistent. The author also says the same statements over and over again... Especially when she switches characters that's are narrating. They will literally say the same thing just in a different sequence. She doesn't even change up the words... I honestly do like the "idea" of this series but the writing could have been better. There are also tons of grammatical errors... Which I feel is weird for a published book... Anywho, that's why only two stars.
Sadly disappointing. You get no explanation as to why it would take the pack 3 years to rescue one of their own. Comrade mentions that he lost his wolf and then all of a sudden is able to access him in a fight. A lot of items were left unexplained. Unrealistic situations and reactions just make it a frustrating read.
Loved this one to except I wish that Comrade and Alex would of been able to have a pup. Don't like that they advanced 15 years in the future. Would have been nice to see that Calem had found his mate.
I can’t get enough of these characters. The brutal honesty shown in Violet’s writing is refreshing. There’s a beautiful live story here with kick ass characters. A fantastic performance from both Lauren and Fred.
I loved the 1st book in the series w/ the story of Axel & Celena and I truely did want to love comrade and alex's story but I couldn't. No matter how much I wanted to really get emersed in this book it just wasn't the same. I felt like Alex just had way to much tragedy in her life & then never being able to have a pup just put the cherry on her cake of misery. Comrade had definitely changed but talk about a crappy way to treat a mate. I just had a hard time getting past that as well. The ending was completely rushed. Fastforwarding to when the triplets were teenagers just hurried everything along way to much and left so many unanswered questions. Part of me hopes there will be a 3rd book so there can be some closure on some of the characters and what happened during their lives but another part isn't sure if that's what I really want. If everything is rushed along the same way with gaping holes I don't think I'd enjoy a 3rd book.
A really nice story. Only thing that really annoyed me was the inconsequence of names which are phonetically the same as in the first book but completely different in the spelling department. Aside from that I wouldn't mind finding out if Callum ever finds his mate. I hope Ms. Samuels continues (with more consequence in said problem) in the series and will keep the cover designer. I liked the covers very much
I have been waiting forever for this book to come out. I found it was out when I was looking for a book to read and I got it right as I saw it. I loved this book!!! It was not a disappointment like some of the second books to a series. I have been so curious to what happened to Comrade. It was very satisfying to what happened.
I read both books and I loved the storyline. You just fall in love with all the characters. There are a few spelling and grammar mistakes but you can over look those because you are so taken with the story. I just wish we could have seen what happened with Callum. Does he find his mate? Does the dream that Alex had come true? I wish it didn't have to end.
Oh wow I finished the second book already and started last night! Wow it was every bit as good as the first book! I truly love this story and so happy for comrade and saddened to for him and Alex so sad!! But I can tell you so happy the evil Damon if gone thank the goddess! :-)
Amazing I couldn't put it down I had to finish it. I loved the first book and i always wondered what happened to comrade and the triplets. Violet Samuels has definitely exceeded my expectations and I would recommend her books to everyone.
So I thought that I would try and make this book last for a while but it was to addictive that I read the whole thing in one sitting. I really enjoyed hearing from Comrade's point and getting to be inside his head a bit more in this book. Absolutely loved and would highly recommend
As the second book to a wonderful series Violet has done an amazing job to capture the audience's attention and has really portrayed comrade's feelings through out the book with his struggles within himself and with his mate. this is a must buy if you loved the first book.
Ok...just because I have this book a two stars does not mean it was not good. I enjoyed the book but thought the first book was better and had more adventure and excitement. Although I only gave two stars it is still a good book.
I enjoyed catching up with the old characters and meeting some new ones. I never understand why it took three years to save Comrade but I'm happy he hung in there. This story could have given more details but I'm happy that it was finally a second part.
If there’s a third book, I’d still read it! Violet Samuels is definitely an author to look out for. I’m dying for this book. I’m absolutely in love with it just like I was so crazy about the first one. Please read this if you love werewolf-themed books!
I thought it was a great and heart warming book totally worth the wait. I recommend this book to anyone willing to read a werewolf paranormal romance with a touch of romance.
Sequels usually disappoint me, but this one quenched my thirst for more after reading the first book. Still a great werewolf story! I would read it again and again just like the first one.
Loved it, beautifully written, grips you from the very first page, I love comrade and Alex and how she is with the triplets.. Made me cry laugh and smile ☺
I love the story I cannot wait for a continuance the characters have me wrapped around their finger I!!! The author has a way of wording the story so that you feel like you're actually there!
I hate, hate, hate the main character Alex. She is a selfish bitch. It's all me, me. me with her. My dad won't talk to me, my alpha told me to do my job and I got pissy with him about it. My mate told a teenager he loved her and I freaked the f**k out about it without finding out why he said it. My mate nearly died and while he was in a coma I found out I was pregnant but did nothing to look after the baby because I was too busy feeling sorry for myself. When my mate finally wake up I just cry and fall asleep without explaining anything to him. I don't like how the book skips years and months ahead of time without letting the reading know it's gonna happen. And the ending is so abrupt.
