Jerrod Ross has been ripped from the only world he has ever known—1821 Cornwall, England. A mine owner with many responsibilities, all he wants to do is return to his time. But his growing attraction for the lovely lady who found him makes staying in the future a temptation he finds hard to resist.

Back to the Future takes on a whole new meaning!
Like leafing through a history book, with the pages flipping at will in a stiff breeze, Jerrod Ross is whisked forward in time. His surprising and unscheduled trip takes him far further afield than he could have wanted; much less imagined.
Sandra Cranston is an elementary school teacher, enjoying a well deserved year sabbatical. Looking after little ankle-biters and filling their heads with the wonders of the world through knowledge was once the joy of her life, but years of long hours and stressful work among a sea of constantly changing faces, has brought her to a burnout point and she is in dire need of recharging her batteries. When she happens upon Jerrod, unconscious, vulnerable, and in obvious need of help, she ignored her doubts and insecurities and opens her house and heart to this strange visitor from the past.
It never ceases to amaze me how time travelers lust after the first person they see. While Sandra spends most of her time ogling Jerrod’s assets like those of a prized stallion, the story has enough substance to support it. Jerrod’s total lack of knowledge concerning modern technical innovations and customs soon endears him to the reader, almost as much as Sandra is admired by him.
Although time travel can go in both directions (or so I’ve been told), the most prevalent trend is to the past, where the traveler has some foreknowledge of events and customs. This story goes against the grain, making it both fresh and a little daunting.
Aside from a couple of factual inconsistencies and misquotes (like John F. Kennedy’s January 20, 1961, Inaugural Address), the story is both interesting and gripping. Starting with phreatomagmatic puffs, the story eventually erupts into a magmatic flow of erotically sexual fulfillment; leaving the reader sweating and short of breath. Higher praise I couldn’t bestow on an inaugural work; I’ve noted the author and impatiently await a sequel.

Passionately Hot!

Absolutely beautiful story that left the sweetest impression on my heart! The erotic romance between Sandra and Jerrod Ross will have your libido running wild seeking your own pleasure. This is one short story I will never forget, the writing is smooth, the characters connected immediately, and the story’s plot climaxed beautifully in the end as it made me all emotional with happy tears in my eyes. This is truly one of those stories you want to last forever, it was very moving - I literally hugged my e-reader. I am definitely a new fan of Karyn Gerrard and look forward to reading more of her work.

Excellent Read!

My review contains spoilers and they're are mostly my thoughts as I went with the book...

KG’s Timeless Heart was a sexy little novella for sure. I really liked the concept of the time travelling Regency folk in the 21c. I was interested, mainly because I wanted to see how this works. I don’t read time travel a lot, but when I do, I want the story to be interesting. Saying all these, this novella was interesting but it could’ve been more. I thought it had a better potential but not executed as per my expectations.

In 1821, Jerrod, a rich squire of Cornwall was travelling by coach with 3 other people when a powerful storm surged. Suddenly, lightening stuck his carriage and things begin to change around him. Jerrod became confused by the darkness and the pull afterwards... Without any knowledge of what really was happening, Jerrod travels into the 21st century and loses consciousness.

Sandra is a school teacher on a break. She had a little misfortune of sort in her job, and now, is guilty of it. She’s heartbroken over the whole thing. She takes a day to go outside for a lonely picnic. Sandra is single and a bit on the introvert side. From all things, I got the impression that her love life wasn’t very interesting at all. When suddenly, she comes across this carriage that looked like transported from the olden days, Sandra is dumbstruck... or so she thought she was until she found this stud with blonde hair and a big d*ck waiting for her inside... Umm, yah, from his breeches she peeked at his tool and it’s measurement through the tight fittings! But the said stud, who is also dressed in Regency fashion (yep, Sandra is like me, reads a lot of Romance novels *heehee*); Mr. Darcy came to life. After a good debate with herself about what to do, Sandra takes it up on her to help the chap, whoever he was.

As Jerrod gets back into the reality, he’s dumbstruck as well. Where the hell was he? And who is this wee lady talking to him? Jerrod realizes soon enough that something has gone horribly wrong after the lightening because it’s not the Truro of Cornwall but the Truro of Canada... in 2011. Hallelujah! huh

Sandra doesn’t know if to believe Mr.-Darcy-the-stud-man but she is totally into his d*ck. Sorry but it was so unsubtle, her lusting after Jerrod’s d*ck (even in her mind), I can’t explain it otherwise. And Sandra wants that for herself, though she doesn’t know if to take Jerrod to a Bedlam or keep him with her.

Then there were some really funny moments (that I enjoyed) with Mr. Darcy’s introductions to various 21st century ‘contraptions’. I really have to quote some stuff here:

Mr. Darcy meets ‘the toilet that flushes itself and water comes through the pipes’:

“Did he have a concussion? How could he not know what a toilet is? And his mode of speech and dress...Sandra sighed in confusion. All she could hear was the toilet flushing, over and over and over again.”

(Lordy, I had an apoplexy while reading this part, he was sooo mesmerized by the flush!rofl)

Mr. Darcy meets ‘the television contraption (and Saving Private Ryan)’:

“God’s Blood! Sandra!”
She almost dropped the teapot from her hand. He ran into the kitchen, looking stricken. “Bodies on the beach, blood everywhere, in that box contraption! I’ve never seen the like, never have I dreamt such carnage, how is it possible?”
The terror and confusion on his face and in his voice was plain to see. Oh hell, he must have turned on the TV. She hadn’t a chance to explain it yet.”

(Poor guy, I had an urge to hug him though, he was so shaken with the horror, thinking it all real.)

Mr. Darcy meets ‘jeans with the zipper contraption’:

“Jerrod pulled on the black 'jeans', as Sandra called them. They were as form fitting as any of his breeches, very form fitting. Sandra had shown him how to operate the zipper contraption, amazing really. He grasped the metal tab and pulled, taking a slice of skin off his finger in the process. Sandra came running in when she heard the cursing. "Damn and blast! One can suffer serious injury just dressing.”

(Psst, Mr. Darcy is a big show-off, he doesn’t like to wear small clothes and you know what that means... eyeroll)

Mr. Darcy meets ‘Gillette Fusion razor’:

“Not a straight razor as he was used to, but some sort of razor nonetheless. He pressed a button and the bloody thing began to vibrate in his hand. He shouted and dropped it like he was handling hot coals.
“The bloody thing is alive!” he cried out.”

(Don’t even ask, I had another of those apoplexies... heehee)

But, all was ok, and in a day or two, Sandra knew that Jerrod can’t possibly be lying. His surprises and reactions of these modern equipments are those that can’t be faked so neatly. It was also plain that he would never be able to cope with all these modern stuff and information… it’s just not his life. Sandra also had no idea how to remedy this situation and her growing lust for Jerrod.

Jerrod, of course, was already lusting after Sandra. He’s an amorous man and we get the repetition of his ‘amorous nature’ and his past liaisons with various whores and so on, over and over again, in almost every single page, whenever they were together. Jerrod’s mind would venture to his past liaisons and how Sandra is compared to those. I got tired of how he liked his f*cking in the dark alleys or in the backrooms, hard and fast, without any finesses blah-di-blah-di-blah. He never even had a mistress in that sense but the dark alleys, against the wall types. I DID NOT like to be reminded of these at all. It didn’t really prove him to be an accomplished lover IMO, when he himself admitted that he never tried ‘to make love’ to a woman, and a whore’s pleasures hardly mattered to him.

No, that was NOT well done, really.

It got worse, when they finally gave in and the first sex scene happened just the way Jerrod liked it, with those whores. He even feels guilty afterwards to have treated Sandra this way (though she liked it!). I have NOTHING against sex against the wall (because I find it sexy as hell) but c’mon, why the comparison?

F*ck NO!

This is something I couldn’t get over. Nevertheless, they were going at ‘it’ like bunnies for the next few days, more so when they realized if Jerrod has a chance to return to the past, they’d never meet again, see each-other again. There were some really emotional moments too, and I had tears in my eyes. One was Jerrod’s realization that he might never get back to his real life, and by estimation, his family has been dead for more than a 100 yrs. It was very heart wrenching. I felt his pain and wanted to hug him when he cried himself to sleep. I liked that Sandra tried to help him, knowing she’d lose him if everything goes alright. She does some researches on his family and finds information that only depresses Jerrod. Apparently, his disappearance went down as a famous mystery and he was declared dead after sometimes. How utterly horrible and sad! I really felt for him in those moments.

All these things, the pressure, the confusion and of course, being able to do nothing about it takes a toll soon and Jerrod becomes cranky. He began feeling like he’s paying Sandra’s generosity with his body. I could understand how he might feel this way. Sandra was hurt by his insinuations. She’s also hurt that Jerrod makes no positive implications about their relationship. I don’t know, but she should’ve known before jumping into bed with him. He never made any promises and she knew there is a big possibility that there would be no future for them.

That was one hell of a situation and I was eagerly waiting to see how things are solved; who has to leave their life behind. Gotta tell you, I’m not sure what would’ve made me happy because it was such a one-of-a-kind situation but that, I kind of guessed the way it was resolved finally.

Best of luck Mr. Darcy! Lol

3.75 stars. It was a good (and steamy) read overall but I might’ve enjoyed it more if there were a bit more twist in the story.

I enjoyed this! Timeless Heart is an erotic time-travel romance featuring a believable love story despite the short timeline (pun not intended). The sexual chemistry between Sandra and Jerrod was rampant. I could feel their emotional connection to each other as well.

For a man pulled out of his age, Jerrod adjusted well considering the circumstances. That's not to say he didn't struggle emotionally. I appreciated the author's adept portrayal of a man torn between two worlds and desires. On the one hand, he yearned to return to his time for understandable reasons. On the other, he felt compelled to stay for love of a woman—one like none he's ever met before. I completely sympathized with him. Dispersed among some of this conflict was lighthearted humor. I chuckled at Jerrod's realistic reactions to the conveniences of modern life.

Sandra, too, struggled between her own desires and wanting what was best for Jerrod. I really liked how selfless her love for him was. Not to mention, her patience with and quick acclimation to a man claiming he was from a period over two hundred years in the past.

The science behind the time travel was briefly explained with quantum physics. Not being a science expert, I can't say if the theory behind the time travel was plausible but it worked well enough.

The resolution was literally lightning quick, but still satisfying.

It reminds me a bit of the movies Kate and Leopold and Lost in Austen. Time travel stories are always amusing because you never know how the character is going to react to the change. To me, the funniest moments happened when Jerrod was introduced to the indoor plumbing system and light bulbs. So yeah, it was funny however there were other things that missed the mark.
The first thing that bothered me was that she immediately took him home, no apprehensions, no distrust; she just picked him up, put him in her car, let him sleep by himself and wake up by his own in a guest room without being watched. Of all the things to do, a single woman doing this sounded way too reckless. Perhaps if she was way out in the country and he needed immediate medical attention that could not wait or she had no means of communication AT home it would have sounded more believable. Why didn’t she call a friend while he was sleeping in case of anything? But no, she was too obsessed with having found her Mr. Darcy that those thoughts never crossed her mind.
Another issue was that he became too comfortable too soon with the public display of affection. He’d just come from a time when getting too close was unacceptable and suddenly they were making out in public. And the fact that whenever he lusted after her he was reminded of the women he had sex with in the “dark alleys” made it all sound wrong.
It was a good story that I will admit I read in one sitting because all in all in was engaging however I feel there were some crevices that could have been filled better.

A short fun read that I read in a sitting. I particularly liked that Jerrod travelled forward in time, made a refreshing difference as most time travel romances travel back in time. I loved the chemistry between Jerrod & Sandra, also how Jerrod reacted to modern day plumbing & technology. The pace was good & the characters had depth & were very likeable
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

It's a time travel romance. A quick interesting story of Jerrod who had time travelled from 1800's to present time. Our heroine Sandra, an elementary school teacher finds him unconscious n brings him home Sandra is 7yrs older than Jerrod (outlander similarity).they have instant attraction. Jerrod was a squire in regency period who was a mine owner. He is bewildered n out of his element in modern times. Sandra after realising he is telling her the truth, helps him.how they get their happy ending forms the rest of the story. Their chemistry was hot. Sandra was a strong n independent modern woman. Jerrod was a honorable man who is willing to do everything for his true love. A good n enjoyable story.

I usually love a time travel book, but unfortunately, this one didn't do it for me. I've still given it a 4 star because it was well written and generally a good book, but something was missing for me.

The story opens with a quick prologue where we see Jerrod riding in a carriage…in 1821. Yep, 1821. He’s in the carriage with a couple other people, and it’s a bumpy ride in a storm. The carriage is all over the place, and then….. heck no, I’m not telling you!

Jump to present day. Sandra is riding along a country road when she spies a carriage tipped off the road. Being the good Samaritan that she is, she stops to see if anyone needs help and happens upon Jerrod Ross, practically passed out cold. She has an instant attraction. And for some reason even she can not fathom, rather than call an ambulance or the police, she rouses him, gets him to her truck and back home to her place.

This story takes place over a pretty short period of time…. Well almost 200 years, and a couple weeks. Sandra is an obviously hurt woman. She is a burnt out school teacher taking a year off after tragedy struck right in front of her. She just wants to get her head back together. She is a very likable character, and you can see her heart from a mile away.

Jerrod is an…ahem, strapping young man. In his time he is wealthy and prosperous. Then suddenly he is in our time, and in the care of Sandra. The chemistry is definitely reciprocated, although he has what is certainly understandable conflicts about what has happened. He's in a new time and place, leaving absolutely everything he knows behind him in that carriage ride.

“Yes, Jerrod Ross, Historical Romance Hunk, was certainly
letting her forget her wretched memories and dark thoughts and, for
that alone, she was grateful.”

Do you believe that love, or the hope of love, can transcend time and space to bring two people together? The bond these two people shared was tangible. They quickly came to rely on each other. I didn’t want him to go home, I wanted him to stay in our time. It was driving me crazy thinking he was going to have to go back to his time!

Also there were some humorous parts to this story. I find it quite funny to see such a “large and in charge” type of man become bewildered by and frightened of today's modern amenities and conveniences. Ms. Gerrard definitely brought out the giggles in me a few times watching Jerrod trying to acclimate himself to our time in history.

There are a few very steamy scenes also, that will make your toes curl and read a bit quicker, to find out what happens next. The author definitely has no issue describing in beautiful vividness the seduction between a man and a woman.

Now, of course I can’t tell you how it ends. But it will definitely have you on the edge of your seat! You’ll have to purchase your own copy of Timeless Heart for that – or win one here right after this review! But if you like historical romances, this will appeal to you. If you like modern romances, this will appeal to you. If you like erotic romance, this will appeal to you. And this may even appeal to you if you like a bit a sci-fi thrown in for good measure. I really liked reading this book, and I am excited to say that Timeless Love, the sequel to Timeless Heart will be out at the end of March, early April.

This is a review from Sizzling Hot Book Reviews, not my own rating~

Timeless Heart is excellent. Jerrod and Sandra are the typical star crossed lovers, hot together but unable to avoid the angst of responsibility and consequences of their situation. The real surprise is that I never expected a time travel romance to have such humor and insight. Karyn Gerrard is amazing in the way she deals with a person from the past being astonished with all our modern conveniences, most of which we take for granted! And the humor she finds in many of these things is priceless. I don’t know which is funnier: how Jerrod first reacts to electric razors, take-out food, or flush toilets, but I wouldn’t want Sandra’s water bill next month either way!

I really liked Jerrod and Sandra in Timeless Heart. These are not perfect people by a long shot. They have issues in their past, Sandra’s tragedy and Jerrod’s ‘hang-ups’ from his fiancée leaving him. Sandra is a tad dreamy and soft-hearted. Jerrod looses his temper easily. Yet when they get together, the passion is scorching and one can understand why they give into it. They both come across as real people and easy to connect to. The real secret to Timeless Heart is that even far fetches as it is, we can still believe the attraction and them giving into it so fast, eventually falling for the other. With the problems facing them, I was seriously worried how Gerrard was going to find a happy ending. I must say that I was not only happy with the ending, but liked the solution Gerrard found for one of the issues (that’s all the hint I’m giving).

Timeless Heart is a fun story that will appeal to many readers, not just the paranormal, time travel junkies. The science is all theory and unlikely, but fiction has doesn’t have to be accurate to be enjoyable. The romance between Jerrod and Sandra is beautifully done, with sizzling hot sex scenes that start off as lust but quickly build into more. Timeless Heart is highly recommended. Can’t help but wonder if there will be follow up stories dealing with the other passengers that were in the carriage with Jerrod when he came forward in time?

This review was posted on my www.bookworm2bookworm.wordpress.com website.

Jude Deveraux`s "Knight in Shining Armor" is my all time favorite time travel book and Diane Gabaldon's "Outlander" series is a very close second, and while the movie "Kate and Leopold" is one movie I try never to miss when it's on, the original "The Time Machine" with Rod Taylor and Yvette Mimieux has to be one of my all time favorite time travel movies. I can freely state to all of you that if I was unattached and my hero showed up from another time, I wouldn't even think twice at not going back with him! Cave man from the stone ages?! I'll let him drag me by my hair, as long as he loves me (and looks like Hugh Jackman)!

This book sounded very interesting, so I literally `stalked' the author on so many blogs just so I could win a copy! I'm surprised she didn't send the cops after me! Needles to say, I didn't win, but I did buy it for my PC for Kindle and let me start of by saying: I'm so glad I did; get to Amazon and do the same!

Sandra Cranston is a chick on a self-imposed `sabbatical' from her job as an elementary school teacher. One day as she's returning from a picnic, her eye catches a site that gives her pause and spurns her on exploring it.

Jerrod Ross is a propertied Squire and a copper mine owner in the year of Our Lord 1821. The last thing he remembers is a dangerous carriage ride with few other passengers through lightning and storm. And now he's looking at the woman with the most amazing eyes who's telling him that this is the Year of Our Lord 2011!

This was so much fun to read. It's a short novella, but it certainly doesn't lack in romance, humor or sensuality. Our hero and heroine were equally hot, charming and witty that you can't help but chuckle at their banter as well as fan yourself when they give in to their desire for each other! It will also leave you torn and in tears at the end as both of them know that neither wants to let the other go, but is that what true love is all about? Can they let go? Or will one decide to go with the other to the unknown... Get the book to find out!

This was a quick read and I enjoyed every moment of it. What probably made this book so interesting is I really didn't know what was going to happen at the end. I didn't know whether Jerrod was going to stay or go or if Sandra was going to follow him or not. I enjoyed that because it made the moments that they shared more intense. LOL when I mean intense I mean sexual marathons (Hmmm I wonder how many men really could go on and on like Jerrod did LOL).

Jerrod is transported from 1821 to 2011 when his carriage is struck by lightening and is found in the woods by Sandra out having a picnic and trying to relax and forget about her dark thoughts.

When she see him she can't believe her eyes. Not only is he dressed in some period costume, but is drop dead gorgeous and she can't help herself from appreciating how well-endowed he seems to be (LOL at least she is honest about where her eyes tended to linger).

She takes Jerrod back to her home where he finds her world strange and fascinating at the same time, but he knows in his heart he has to return to his time. The problem is they both feel a strong attraction to each other that they have never felt for anyone before. They end up finding themselves engaged in endless sexy times that are mind-blowing for both of them. LOL Jerrod seems to have a very high libido because the moment they were done he is ready to go again.

However, Jerrod knows that staying in 2011 he is a nobody, stuck to rely on Sandra for everything that goes completely against his upbringing and his status.

What sounds like from the pages of "Back to the Future" (this was actually mentioned in the book) they believe that if it was lightening that brought him here then lightening is probably the way to get back, but at what cost. Either way both will lose what each of them discovered, a love that they never had and will never have again.

Pick up a copy of this book you will definitely enjoy it and you will love the way Jerrod talks.

Jerrod Ross is traveling by coach in the year of 1821, when the coach is suddenly struck by lightning and sent on a whirlwind of a journey. He will be in for quite a shock when he comes to, because he has been sent forward through time, to the year 2015. Sandra Cranston spies the out-of-place coach, and is surprised to see an injured man inside, in period costume, no less. She helps the disoriented Jerrod to her car, and decides to take him home instead of to a hospital, as it appears he has no identification.

Jerrod is very confused when he awakens and begins to notice his strange surroundings For her part, Sandra believes he is an actor who was playing a part in a re-enactment. Jerrod is quick to realize what has happened to him, but Sandra is skeptical. Finally his sincerity makes her believe that he truly believes the tale he’s telling, but she can’t accept it.

Sandra is quite intrigued by the handsome Jerrod, and invites him to temporarily stay with her. It isn’t long before she comes to believe his story, and she begins to show him her world. Jerrod is fascinated, both with this strange new world, and with Sandra. Soon the two give in to the attraction that has been simmering almost from the moment they met. Although their affair is scorching, Jerrod feels he must make the attempt to go back to his own time. When a lightning storm occurs, he goes back to the coach, hoping that a strike will take him back.

Is there any hope for a happy ever after? You’ll have to read this novella to find out. I was very pleasantly surprised by Timeless Heart. Karyn Gerrard wrote an interesting, entertaining, and very sexy short story that was an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. Well done!

Pure Delight

I am not quite sure what I was expecting from this book. I believed it would be like a lot of other time travel romances that I read, but I was delightfully wrong. It seems like most time-travel romances can be somewhat serious, which is fine as I love serious historical romance. Most time-travel romance also seems to go back to the past or spend the bulk of the story in the historical time. This particular time travel romance is simply funny, delightful, and not really serious or stuffy at all. Honestly, I think I could call it pure escape, and I don't think I've ever called a book that precisely. It gets a little more serious at times as they grow to care about each other and their predicament, but the bulk of the book is not. It also mostly takes place in the present, as our hero has come forward in time to 2015 Nova Scotia.

Our hero, Jerrod, was an absolute Delight. He reminded me at times of an irritable Mr. Darcy (at least at first), if Mr. Darcy was having a particularly bad day and had no filter. This made for many amusing scenes and dialogue exchanges. He was just a lot of fun; the changes of modern life intrigued him, as he does figure out rather quickly that he has time-traveled (quicker than the heroine). He's fascinated by flushing toilets and electricity. Our heroine doesn't know quite what to think at first when she discovers an 18th-century carriage overturned in the woods near her, complete with a man dressed in Regency garb. If she decides to just roll with it, imagining that he is doing some sort of cosplay or LARPing. I could go on, but this book is just so much fun that if what I've said intrigues you at all, just grab it and prepare to be charmed.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Timeless Heart:

I can't possibly tell you how much I'm in love with this book. It's so sweet, romantic, magical! Think about it as a sexy "Kate and Leopold".

Kate and Leopold is one of my favorite movies, and I'll tell you why I decided to relate these two. Ross, while travelling in his carriage when he’s caught by a storm and passes out. When he wakes up, Ross is rescued by the lovely Sara, but 190 years have passed. She takes him to her home and the sexual tension is too much to handle. Kate and Leopold has the same unique atmosphere of love beyond time, prejudice, and the hero is just as hot!

The love scenes were a very welcomed surprise. Ms. Gerrard has written an in depth story, with just the right amount of emotion and sexiness. Ross and Sarah are perfect together. I would like to have seen a bit more of dialog between them. This title could easily have been written as a full novel. By the end I just wanted to read more!

I hope Ms. Gerrard starts a series with the other people that went missing from the carriage. Where did they go? I wonder what this author will be writing next, cause I'll sure read it! Timeless Heart is a spectacular debut and a novel I would highly recommend.

Timeless Love:

I believe it was a fantastic idea to set this story in the 60's. It gave this story an unique touch. Not a contemporary romance, not quite a historical, but a modern approach.

The couple was so adorable and honorable! Perfect for the part of hero and heroine. However, I must admit I enjoyed Timeless Heart, the first in the series more captivating and with a lighter and fun atmosphere.(...) I hope we'll have the chance to read more Timeless stories by Karyn Gerrard! I had a good time reading Timeless Love.

I have always been enamored with the idea of time travel and will admit to having fantasized about traveling back in time. In my imaginings things always ended up exciting, dangerous, and romantic. Timeless Heart captures the essence of my fantasies.

Jerrod Ross, a squire from 1821 is traveling with three other passengers in a carriage when caught in a severe storm. That storm propels him to the 21st century. Sandra Cranston, a school teacher on leave discovers his carriage and the romance novel worthy Jerrod and nurses him back to health. Along the way to finding a method of returning Jerrod to his own world, these two develop an attraction for each other that transcends time and distance. I adored the humor and wit from both characters, the engaging plot and the amazingly hot and sensual love scenes! Sandra's spirit and Jerrod's wonder at all the modern conveniences (I would hate to pay Sandra's water bill) were adorable.

One of my favorite passages:

"What is your name, sir?" the woman asked in a cool tone.
How officious she sounded. He supposed it was all he deserved, as he
was treating her like some servant.
Jerrod lay back down. He was in discomfort. "My name is
Jerrod Ross, Squire from Pendern Hall. And who might you be,
madam?"
"I? I am Sandra Cranston, Mistress of the walk-up second
story flat,” she replied coldly.

My only regret - it was over all too soon! If you are a fan of Time Travel and of romance, this should be in your "to be read" pile.

This is the second Novella that I read by the Author . This is a time Travel Romance set in Modern day with a touch of Regency . There is a sensual side to this romance . The setting is placed in Down East Canada . Really enjoyed this one .

We have Jerrod who is a rich Mine owner in Regency England wondering how he is going to get home in the drenching Rain. He comes upon an Inn for the night . He is worried for his horse and Jerrod decides he will not ride home . He pays a good coin to put his horse in the stables to rest and eat . He was going to stay the night himself but on second thought he decides to take the public coach back home and he will send someone for his horse . In the coach there is another Man and lady (who is not a couple ) . Outside there is a storm brewing much heavier that back at the inn . The Lightning comes along and takes everyone to a surprise place but they are not together .

Sandra is a school Teacher who needs to take a year off from the classroom . Something happened that is affecting her . One day at her place she decides to pack a picnic , not take any electronics ( no cell phones , no iPad ) nothing she just wants to relax and unwind . During a drive she spots a carriage in the woods . No one else is around . So she goes up to the carriage and peeks inside . That is where she sees Jarrod unconscious . She sees his weird dress and she thinks that he is an actor that was playing a part . She takes him out of the carriage and takes him to her car . After a few questions that she asks herself she takes him home .
That is where the 2 worlds are at odds . How do they handle it . They both get a surprise .

"Timeless Heart by Karyn Gerrard is a quick, Erotic Historical Fantasy Time Travel Romance. Fast paced, tale of an Elementary school teacher from the 21st century, who comes across a carriage accident from the Regency era, and finds a hurt mine owner from 1821 inside. Should she take him home? Why not? What would you do? This is Jarrod Ross and Sandra Cranston's story, and what a story.
*Previously published, but has been re-vised, re-edited and a few more words added.*
A very sensual, highly sexual tale of two people crossing time and space to find, hopefully, their HEA. With al the adjustments of modern day life vs life during the Regency period, so many challenges, and being a kept man, will Jarrod want to stay here or go back to his own time? Has bits of humor, as well as heartbreaking decisions, with time crossed lovers. Does Jarrod love Sandra enough to stay in her time, or will Sandra love Jarrod enough to go with him back to his time? You must read this story to learn. Will have you guessing right to the very end. Beautifully written. Engaging characters and a unique storyline. An interesting and enjoyable Time Travel. Fans of Time Travel Romance, Fantasy Romance and Romance in general will enjoy "Timeless Romance". An enjoyable and satisfying read!

I love time travel adventures, and it isn't often someone comes forward to the modern age, so I was excited to see this book written by an author whose work I've previously enjoyed. The build-up of anticipation and the steamy parts were great, but the rest of the story seemed like it needed a bit more work because Sandra couldn't decide if she was an uptight prude or a free loving carpe diem kind of person, and Jerrod couldn't make up his mind on much either, so there was a lot of mental yo-yo-ing in this story, which detracted from the joy. Also, Jarrod was suspiciously comfortable with modern standards of modesty immediately, and I thought it was really strange that a quick temper in a man would be something that Sandra actually liked. Also it felt like there were a couple of loose ends in the story with information that kind of drizzled into nothing. All in all it was an entertaining enough story, but with a bit of tweaking it could easily turn into a 5 star tale.

I received a free copy of Timeless Heart, but that did not affect my review.

This is steamy, amusing and romantic. When the carriage Jarrod is riding in, in 1821, gets hit by lightning, he gets knocked out. When he comes to he finds himself in a strange house with a strange woman. Sandra is on her way home when she sees something weird in the woods and decides to investigate. She finds an unconscious man, dressed is period clothes, in an old stagecoach. She takes him home so that he can recover, and is flabbergasted when he claims to not know what a toilet is. He tells her he is from 1821, but she doesn't believe him. But the more time she spends with him, the more she thinks that he's telling the truth. There is a strong sexual pull between them, but neither wants to start something without knowing what the future holds. But the more time he's there, the harder it is to ignore, so they don't. This story has an extra twist to it that makes it truly fascinating.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

I love time travel romance and I've read a lot of them. A few have been disappointments. Not the case here. I thoroughly enjoyed this short tale of traveling across centuries and finding true love.

It's the year 1821 and Jerrod is trying to get home during a terrible thunder storm. The carriage he's in is struck by lightening and he wakes up in the 21st century and is rescued by Sandra. I love the way they interacted and the things they both struggled with felt real to me. I was thrilled to finally see a woman question whether she could give up electricity and hot running water. So many times in a time travel story those things are never even addressed.

The sex was steamy but not over the top.

Ms Gerrard has created two characters that I really liked. In fact the only downside to the story was I didn't get enough. I would have loved to have spent more time with them.

I look forward to reading more by this author.

This is a short Novelia so I was able to read it in a couple hours.Jerrod Ross or squire Pendren is trying to get home in the year of 1812 and is caught up in a storm that becomes a swirling vortex then suddenly his carriage is hit by lightening. When he wakes up he is in the present time of 2015. Talk about culture shock.
Sandra Cranston is an elementary teacher who is on leave from teaching for a year. Something bad happened and she needed time off to get over it. She is on a picnic and decides to go down some back roads driving around. When she comes upon a carriage in the woods that has her very own Regency man inside. Thinking that he was part of a reenactment she takes him home to nurse him back to health. His health isn't what she keeps noticing though. I did love how he reacted to the toilet and T.V. Those were priceless. If you love a lot of heat in your stories you will love this book. If not then I suggest you not read it because it does have a lot of sexual content.

I received a copy from BookSprout; this is my honest review.
-There is a lot of lust going on between Jerrod and Sandra. Lust, affection, friendship but no romance.
-There is no real story going on here as they pass most of their time in either the bathroom or the bedroom. Not sure what else they did for the 3 weeks they were together but it sounded boring.
-I can definitely agree with Sandra when she says he's like a dream come true, from the books she read or the movies she watched. We all have one in those books that we fall in love with.
-Jerrod is a responsible man up until he leaves Sandra in the carriage. He left some means behind, for Sandra to be well-taken care of.
-Weirdest thing I read: "Sandra ... whipped the covers off the bed, pulling the top piece of bedding free ...". She then gave the sheet to Jarrod who then proceed to dry her off. Why not just get a towel like everyone else?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ah, happy sigh...
I just finished Timeless Heart and have the biggest urge to go for a walk in the woods and see if I can find my own Jerrod. ;) I loved this story. How seamlessly the author tied the Regency era with 2015 with just this one character. Jerrod's reactions (especially to the TV) were adorable. Yep, definitely want one of my own. And like another reader mentioned, through the course of the story I kept asking "What happened to the other passengers?". It sets up an awesome trilogy and I sincerely hope this is something the author is already considering. (please???)
Such a sweet (yet spicy) short story and I am very happy to have bumped it up on my TBR list.

I'm not usually one for romance, but Gerrard has a talent. Not only is she amazing at writing wonderfully devious and charming male leads, but she also has a great sense of humor about it. It's okay to read this book and smile as the characters even poke a little fun at themselves and their romance novel reactions.

And don't count out the sex! The sex scenes are pant-educing. This book was a wonderful guilty pleasure that was a joy to read. It'll leave you blushing, but you won't feel dirty about it.

Timeless Heart is such a fun and easy read. It is a lovely, steamy story about the relationship that forms between a woman who is trying to make sense of a tragic occurrence in her life and a man who is completely out of his element. The dialogue is laugh-out-loud funny at times, and the sex scenes are definitely hot. Jerrod's reactions to the modern world are by turns funny and sad, and they really make you think about how strange it would be to experience such a drastic world change. So if you want something fun, sweet, and sexy to read, this book will cover all those categories.
