I read this book when my doctor told me that my baby only had 2 heart chambers and cleft/lip and palate. I was 20 weeks pregnant and decided that I didn't want to cry my way through my entire pregnancy. I wanted to have a happy, positive pregnancy for me and the baby. I read my scriptures and this book every day until his birth! I decided to read it again now because, one can never have too many opportunities to redirect their thoughts towards a more positive level!

This book was recommended to me by our neighbor Karen Bills. It's quite an old book and isn't even in electronic format. Regardless, I really enjoyed it. The author has some unique insights into common doctrines that I've heard all my life which inspired me to think a bit deeper than I have before. He also shared some great stories of faith in action as well as some wonderful accounts of individuals who have seen visions/had dreams involving God and Christ. Very faith promoting. I liked the way he laid out some step by step ways to build faith and keep moving forward to the goal of eternal life. I took many notes and will refer back to them for lessons and personal study.

Wow. One of the most jam packed spiritual books I’ve ever read. This is an obscure book and was recommended by a friend. Dare I say it “slapped” spiritually? We are in partnership with the Lord. We are the makers of our own destiny - Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith. Order it off Amazon, savor it, read it again. So many truths that I will need to reread and study alongside. Very gritty and I think my soul enjoyed that the most. The beginning to a new way of thinking spiritually. We CAN claim our individual blessings from Heaven.

My parents recommended this one and it was good. A mix of psychology and religion to inspire and teach me ways to live life to the fullest and comprehend more fully God's love and all the blessings He wants to give to all His children. He truly wants our eternal happiness even more than we do.

This book was very helpful in terms of encouraging me to personally act on my faith, and in particular with our new baby. It facilitated a special blessing for her when she was about 4 weeks old. It is a great "manual" on faith. It is a little difficult to read in parts due to the technicality of the writing, but it provides great examples, teachings, and guidance.

This is a really good book and perfect for the beginning of the year. He says everything so matter-of-factly that you wonder why you had a hard time understanding the concept in the first place. This is a book my husband wants to read as well. I read this along with the Patricia Holland's "A Quiet Heart," and the two together have made this a very happy, peaceful and meaningful month for me.

I read most of this book. I had to return to the library before I was finished, but will go and get again. There are many faith promoting stories in this book. And many instances and examples of how to apply your faith for real results. If you are looking to take gospel concepts out of the realm of theory and want to make them real in your life this is the book for you.

This is one of my favorite books on faith. The author shares stories of members of the church during the war in Germany. Even though I read this book years ago I still remember some of the stories he shared.
