A second book wasn’t needed. Book one could’ve been extended because this second fell flat and almost felt pointless.
This story could’ve been so much more than it was. The book was mostly centered around building the label and nothing else. It felt like the story was going absolutely no where. There was so many opportunities to make the story interesting but it went nowhere. For instance myome passing out was mentioned so often that that could’ve been something to address but nothing. Her eating habits and why she didn’t properly eat in the first book could’ve been explored but nothing. Genie and her issues seem like a liability but that wrapped up and we were given nothing. The Monica issue left us on a cliffhanger in the first book but we were well aware Drix never cheated. So we already knew she was lying and that took a backseat to the story and came back up back and forth randomly but ultimately was resolved quickly. What happen to the chemistry Rome and charm seem to have ? I was confused on what the plot was. Every issue that arose was immediately solved and left nothing to move the story along. The first book was really good but this one seemed unnecessary.
I still love My-My and Drix’s love. They were so cute together. I love how Drix never played about her and was always so supportive. He’s one of the best book husbands I’ve ever read. I like myome. She definitely never played with anybody and I loved that. She annoyed me a little in this book with her being so whiny and self conscious all the time though.
Shade was an interesting character. Genie seem to be a liability. I wanted more from Rome and charm. Dashawn and Hazel’s relationship sounds interesting. I wonder what their deal is.
This book just didn’t do it for me like the first one did. It was okay but fell extremely flat for me. This could’ve just been a short and extended version of the first book.
3.5 ⭐️ this one fell flat for me a little. Book one was full of romance and smut and sprinkles of drama. Book 2 felt more about his business and while that’s great character development and growth , the love and banter and smut was missed in this one. Given there wasn’t as much development in the love department, I’d say it could have also been shorter. Or this truly could have been a bonus epilogue to round out book one.
I did enjoy that no one is too old to get these hands 😂
For as good as book one was, this one was lacking. We only needed ten more great chapters in book one to avoid a book two. However, the book was decent and touch on many topics and stayed heavy on family values and growth.
Loved Drix and how he stood on business regarding everything. My man said if he doesn't follow through people would call him a liar. The way I laughed at his realness. A true man, leader, and mentor. All he wanted was for the family to succeed and his wife to be great.
Now Myome, girl you pissed me off. You can't be hard and question what was obvious. That scene pissed me off. Like be for real. I would say you grew but still have a long way to go. Trust your man as he be dropping gems as he lived more than you.
All in all everyone will have a different view but this was mine.
This book was just ok. It was more about building the label than the MC’s. I would have liked to see a little more drama from them. It didn’t have to be cheating or anything but something.
I really enjoyed the first book and was excited about this one. However it missed the mark.
While I loved the first book and impatiently waited for the sequel, I just didn’t think it was necessary. The storyline could’ve wrapped in the first book with a couple more pages. All the rest of building the label didn’t add to Myome’s and Drix’s story at all. Just fell flat to me.
It was a no brainer I was gonna read this book not only because I enjoyed the first one so much but also because I needed to know how everything went down after the way book 1 ended.
Safe to say Drix and Myome are still crash outs and this time even the family and friends got involved lmao
Drix never played about Myome and it was even more so enforced in book 2. I just love how much he loves on her and makes sure that if anyone ever tries to play her they better find something safe to do.
It was nice seeing them throw hands when the occasion called for it but still could be professional when necessary. Looking at them navigate as lovers and business partners was everything.
They definitely earn the name the fighting couple because no disrespect will be tolerated and they will pop you in your shit if you don't come correct.
In a lot of ways the conclusion went in a different direction than I expected. I enjoyed being apart of what Myome and Drix were building in the industry. If anything I want some of those artists to get their own story. People like Genie and Shade were too layered to not get a fuller story.
I’m happy everyone got what they deserved. Still hoping from more from Trill Loyalty.
If Drix is a crash out Myome is crash out jr for sure!! She will whoop somebody behind & then go to work!! She neverrrrr cared!!!! Of course in part 2 we still see Drix NEVER playing about HIS WIFE & Myome isn’t about to let ANYONE speak ill of her husband without a ahh whooping to go along with it. I still love this couple downnnnnnn!!!!! I do wanna see Shade & maybe Genie tho 👀👀👀👀
It felt like I was reading an big ass epilogue in the best way possible. No one should have gone into this thinking crazy and crazy jr. were going to break up so seeing them navigate starting and cultivating a business and family was great to witness! My favorite parts were Drix aggressively making people do their jobs 😭 nutty ass man and his nutty ass wife lol 10/10!
Loved this one just as much as the first. 🥹 Drix & Myome are seriously one of my favorite book couples. As a music baby, I loved the music industry storyline, romance, and all the family moments. Such a great read. ❤️
Damn damn, I know artists be sensitive bout they shiiiii! Rightfully so but I DNF this book I waited for this book it did not give.. part 2 wasn’t needed could’ve just added a few more chapters to book 1 close it out. This just felt mehhh.. I expected more I wanted more.
