If you have read any of Ami Wright's work and enjoyed it, you're going to love this!
5 spicy short stories, each one ties into Ami's other series. It is a fun revisit to previous stories and characters. If you're a first time reader, this will introduce to you the amazing spice that Ami is superb at delivering. I highly recommend moving onto the Monstrous Deals series after this!

All the stories are written in the 2nd person so it feels like you're immersed in a smutty DND campaign. It's the first time I've read a spicy novel in the style of writing and certainly made it an interesting reading experience that I'd love to try again...or play as a game of very spicy DND.

The best thing is, this was written for and inspired by members of Ami's Patreon. While I wasn't a member when these stories were being gathered, It makes me appreciate how much this author values the input of her fans. She reaches out people to gain insights into topics like living with chronic illness to ensure the representation in her books is accurate and coming from lived experiences of real people. It puts a deep human connection into the back ground of the story.

I can definitely see the appeal even though overall it wasn't for me. These are written in second person to give the reader the experience of being one of the MCs. I don't picture myself as the MC in any of the books I read so something like this was a first for me and will probably be the last. If it's your thing though I think you'll really like this. There's 5 stories total and they are all different. The first few I didn't really care for but I really enjoyed the 4th one.

*I DNFd the first story. I don't enjoy reading about someone being passed around and it technically being me really wasn't my jam.
*The second story is intended to be Sapphic, which I don't mind, but I know some people avoid it. However, there was a drugging aspect that I did not enjoy so this was a DNF as well.
*The third story was a SW turned potential girlfriend. The story was alright, the spider was pretty hot though.
*The fourth story was my favorite. I'm truly just a sucker for a knot. I loved the MMC.
*The fifth one was bringing an incubus back from a grave injury and also giving him his first orgasm. It was interesting, but not really memorable.

This set of 5 vignettes is well written and edited, and all are fast-paced, steamy to spicy, erotic romance to romantic erotica tales featuring human/monster couples that give you an idea of this author’s style. I absolutely adore this author; she’s one of my auto-reads and I always look forward to her releases. This tasting set lets you work out what you’d like and you can pick from her catalogue in the direction of your interest! My biggest complaint is that each vignette is too short just that just means you’ll need to find another one of her stories…

This is a little mix of both monstrous deals and grumpy bosses.
The second person pov is odd to read. I know she wrote them that way on purpose but it’s really distracting and hard for my brain to adjust to.
Not all of the stories have a STEM MC but a couple of them do.

QF review: A fabulous collection of spicy little stories!

The stories are all written in the second person (you-form), with no explanation of how the FMC looks. The stories are created with the purpose of you inserting yourself into them. A fun idea, bringing me back to my CYOA days.

There is something for everyone in this book if monsters are your thing; sapphic, voyeurism, femdom, alpha werewolves, fae, and so on.

Fun, easy, and something new.
