Alexei Cunningham. Rabid dog. Top goal scorer.

Lucas Noble. Golden prince. Best goalie.

The two polar opposites faced off for the first time in semifinals of the Frozen Crown.

First and last time.

Cunning’s Monarchs defeated Noble’s Crows without a single goal from Cunning. The Crows couldn’t best the reigning champions, but Noble bested the best.

While the Crows returned to their Nest in defeat, the wolves went on to play in the finals.

Cunning did not.

No one knew at the time why Cunning didn’t play, but even without their top dog, the wolves still took home their crown.

Cunning wasn’t seen again until the start of the next season when he appeared in Crow black at Lucas Noble’s side.

I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to put this book into words because The Crow completely consumed me. I devoured it within a matter of hours. I kept telling myself " one more chapter". Next thing I know I have read the whole entire book!

⭐️Alexei and Lucas have officially taken over my brain⭐️

I've been following this author for some time, been loving the teasers, the art, the tropes, everything. This book met everything I was looking for in a book. The Crow has definitely reached top tier books for me so far this year.

From the very beginning, I was hooked. There is something about Alexei and Lucas together that just works. The contrast between them, the tension, and that underlying pull they can't seem to escape made their relationship incredibly addictive to read.

Alexei is intense, complicated and carries so much beneath the surface, and watching those layers slowly come undone was one of my favourite parts of the book. Lucas completely stole my heart with how protective he was of Alexei. No matter the time of day or night, Lucas was always there.

What got me about The Crow was the emotional side of the relationship.
There are insecurities, fears, expectations and emotional walls that have to be broken down, and seeing them navigate all of that made their relationship feel meaningful. Watching them slowly realise just how important they had become to each other was honestly beautiful.

I really enjoyed the hockey aspect also, especially meeting up with Alexei's old team.

By the end of the book, I was emotionally attached to both of these men. ( and maybe a few tears)

Just want to shout out the amazing side characters! They added another emotional layer towards the story. They helped both men in their journeys. They were incredibly supportive, especially when Alexei told them all the truth. I definitely need more of this entire group. ❤️

Final Thoughts:

R.A.W hasn't just created a romance novel thats just about their story but the tough journey it takes to get there.
Haven't got a clue what R.A.W put in this book, but I'd love another serving of it because its addictive.
However I was destroyed. Not a little emotional but literally feel like i have been emotionally been run over by hockey pucks.
Im not ready to tell these guys go!
I absolutely fell in love with them and I hope everyone else does too!

This book was absolutely one of my 6⭐️ reads. I am looking forward to future works because if this was just the start, the journey is going to be exceptional.

Thank you R.A.W for giving me the honour of ARC reading this wonderful book.

The Crow completely stole my heart! 🐦‍⬛❤️

I dont usually get on with books written in 3rd person but i was totally obsessed with the characters and the chemistry between them.

💙 Alexei & Lucas — these two have officially taken over my brain! Their relationship had EVERYTHING. The tension, the chemistry, the emotional walls and all those little moments where you could see just how much they were starting to mean to each other. I absolutely loved watching them slowly let each other in.

💙 Alexei — my poor heart! He was definitely my favourite character. There was so much going on underneath the surface with him and I just wanted to give him the biggest hug. I know he’s going to stay with me for a long time.

💙 The Crows — I loved the found-family feeling between them. They were so supportive of each other and I genuinely loved all of the side characters. I NEED more of this whole group!

💙 The hockey — I really enjoyed this side of the story too, especially getting to meet Alexei’s old team. It added another layer to everything and I loved seeing how it connected into his story.

💙 The emotional side — this is what really got me. There were so many insecurities, fears and walls to break down, and watching Alexei and Lucas navigate all of that made their relationship feel so much more meaningful.

This book made me laugh, made me completely obsessed with these characters and, yes, it may have caused a few emotional moments too. 🥹

R.A.W. has created a romance that isn’t just about two people falling for each other, but about everything they have to work through to actually get there.

I absolutely loved this book and I NEED book two! 🐦‍⬛❤️

I read this in less than a day and I cannot wait for the next installment.

The authors way of coveying emotions is amazing you can feel the anxiety and helplessness radiating from Alexei and the anger, frustration that comes with it.

Angel is exactly that, an absolute Angel easily one of my favourite characters. Finding out the glimpse of his past broke my heart.

I'm excited to find out more about Nobel because he is very much giving traumatised and i love a traumatised sunshine character! I'd also like to see more of him and Spinners relationship.

Kodaks relationship with his father is also something I can't wait to see. Even though I hated his character seeing him from Alexei's POV really twists his outlook and really drives home how quick abuse can derail your entire perception on a situation.

Overall throughly impressed, part of me wishes I'd read it slower.

Wow. Im speechless. My brain chemistry, my soul, is forever altered because of this book.

It will forever be in top 5 reads for me. Alexei, Noble the whole crew of characters all have so much depth and they all cling to you. Everything in the book was so well written, hockey, Alexeis struggles, Noble even tho he doesnt like the word is perfect.

I knew I was going to be sad when it ended because id have to wait for book 2 and im beyond crushed I finished it already. I will be buying a copy to put on my shelf. I think ill do a reread already because I need more of Alexei and Noble.

R.A.W absolutely smashed it into the net with this book and im looking forward to what he brings to the rink next!

Wow! Where to start? Honestly best book i’ve read ever and that’s not an exaggeration!

It’s so beautifully written with incredible characters and a gripping story. It’s such an easy read too where i couldn’t put it down and it was all i could think about. I’d genuinely give it 6 stars if i could because it was an absolute masterpiece and i highly recommend it to anybody. It is such an amazing book that focuses more on the storyline and characters than the romance which worked so well since it works well with the characters. Alexei and Noble are my new fav characters and the Crows team are incredible, i need book 2 ASAP.

But overall, if you get the chance to read it please do as you won’t regret it! I know i don’t!

Finished this book in a day and a half, this book and these characters truly have my whole heart and I can’t wait for book two. My heart hurts for Alexei he was definitely my favourite character in this book and I feel for him so deeply. He’s definitely a character that’s going to stay with me forever. I loved the relationship between the crows they really feel like a true family and I can’t wait to see Alexei get even closer with them. I’m also excited to see where the relationship between him and Lucas goes because they are so cute together. Lucas really does care so deeply about Alexei, even when he doesn’t always want him to.

This book made me feel a lot of things but nostalgia was at the top of that list. This book reminded me a lot of another sports romance that I read dealing with collegiate players. The similarities left me craving something new. As I read the book I was finding myself looking for another plot point that was similar. That does not mean I didn’t enjoy the book. The characters made you feel connected to them. And there was a sense of unrealistic situation that were grounded in reality. I think that’s really special. I find myself wanting to know more and more about Alexei and Lucas. I think the supporting characters add just as much to the story though.

I started reading this book and it completely pulled me in. I was so invested that I simply couldn’t stop reading and ended up finishing it in just one day.
I absolutely love the writing style and the way the tension is built throughout the story. It keeps you hooked and makes it impossible to put the book down because you just have to know what happens next.
The characters have already found a special place in my heart, and I’m already so attached to them. I honestly can’t wait for the second book to come out!

Absolutely incredible book!! I had fun reading it, literally couldn't sit it down for long ends and had to fight with myself to go to sleep. The writing is incredible and the slowburn is slowburning.

I am really excited for future books and can't wait to read them aswell. I am honored to have been an ARC reader and if I got the chance a second time I would be on my knees bowing to these guys' feet.
