Everything SERIOUSLY went down, and while I was mad at Britt’s knights for turning in her I sorta understood as well even while I was still mad—the emotions were all very complicated on all sides and I appreciate the emotional effect this had on everyone including the reader!
Arth was wonderful, and I hope we get to see more of him because I really like him. ☺️ And Sir Kay is the world’s best big brother…his chapter at the end cracked me up. I want him to guard me from bad potential boyfriends too. 😂

This picked up. I love where the story is going. Though I don't know if indeed a romance will blossom or not.
I still don't care much for Lancelot. I like Britt the more I read about her. I wonder is Merlin going to start understanding his feelings? Guess I will find out in the next book.

**Review of the series as a whole rather than the individual books.**
KM Shea lets you know right up front what her stories will be. They will be some type of fantasy (usually), end happily and neatly tied up and are meant as a break from life rather than to be deep thinking. This series delivered exactly what was promised.
This is more of a series of novellas except for the last book that is full length. It's a fun story reimagining the King Arthur Legend. In it, a young woman named Britt is brought from modern day back in time after she touches the legendary sword. It seems the actual King Arthur has run away and Merlin places a spell on the sword to bring someone back that has all the needed attributes to fill the role. What he doesn't even consider is to specify the gender in his spell.
The 7 book series details adventures as Britt poses as King Arthur. She goes about finding her round table and the knights that will belong. KM Shea plays with the mythology and has a bit of fun with it. I enjoyed the stories and Britt as well as other characters' evolutions. Sure it could be far fetched at times but I always give fantasy book a lot of leeway. If you need tight plotting and things to make perfect sense then maybe look elsewhere. This series is not meant to stand up to that kind of seriousness. It's simply escapist, fun reading with a story around a strong female character. There is the faintest whiff of romance that doesn't really even manifest until the end and then only trace amounts.

Have to admit I was a little disappointed in book 4 in the series but in this one everything I love is back.
There is a heck of a lot crammed into just over 100 pages but it remains very readable and exciting. It's well written, other than the odd typo, and keeps you completely hooked from start to finish.
Britt Arthurs is definitely developing more as a character and takes a huge step forward in this one. She's definitely one of my favourite book heroines. Smart, brave and knows her limits.
My favourite character does however remain Merlin. He still remains a bit mysterious but is obviously completely clueless when it comes to women.
Can't wait to find out what happens next. Hopefully later this month.

Absolutely fantastic in nearly every way! I completely adore this series and its strong and admirable heroine. This newest addition is everything that I had hoped it would be. There are a few little editing errors but those are easily overlooked. My only wish for this series is that they were longer but I understand and, in a way, appreciate their brevity as each addition tackles a new concern. To be honest, during my daily life I find myself thinking about this series the most and wondering about where it might lead. Great job!

Nooooooo!!!!! What it ends like THAT! Okay I have to know when the next one is out!! Grrrrr! Obviously I'm really into this series. It's so good. Girl power and standing up. Can't wait for the next one!

like all the previous books, it was shitty. i'm so glad i didn't buy this series.
i really don't understand how could the author make a book that is more boring, more idiotic, and even worse than before. it was like she competed in a race to make the worst series that was ever made. so here's a quick recap:
since the start, they already discussed that Lancelot was troublesome. why they didn't just banished him, sent him away, or plot his murders?! i'll never understand how idiot minds work. and then Lancelot won this stupid tournament and ask Britt to accompany him on a morning ride. of course after that it went downward. Lancelot was attacked, of course Britt had to help instead of being happy and said good riddance, so she got kidnapped, have to fight for some stupid lord, and turned out her opponent was lancelot, who was a sore loser so he stabbed her in the back, and her knights finally found out that she was a girl (wasn't it obvious?! she got a girl's voice (maybe?) and face. idiots). and then she ran away, met the real Arthur, got back, made some pretty speeches, and her knights returned to be her lapdogs and all is well. of course. why there was no meteor to strike them huh-_-
when i read this book, i try to read as fast as possible, couldn't wait for this to be over. their stupidity already reached the point of PAINFUL. merlin was stupid for insisting that Lancelot was harmless. Britt was stupid for always doing what everyone wanted her to do. The knights were all stupid for not banishing Lancelot when he even STABBED their king from behind. like what the fuck is this kingdom's problem?! and why the fuck was britt wasn't dead yet?!
and like i said before, there was lots of parts that seemed forced, like when Britt was kidnapped, the kidnapper didn't know that it was king Arthur (the kidnapper was also an idiot), but why not kidnap Lancelot?! they only need a good warrior, and lancelot was able enough?! see, it was obviously forced and stupid. seriously, like i said, reading this series could lower anyone's IQ.

This was probably one of my favorites in the series. You have the Lancelot Hate Club, Lancelot really deserving the hate for being a sleazy pos, and the inevitable reveal of Britt's gender to her knights.
I was a bit disappointed that not more of the knights stood up for Britt, but I am glad that they managed to resolve it. I don't understand how Lancelot wasn't immediately banished after his very unknightly act of stabbing her from the behind??? He got no repercussions whatsoever which I found hard to believe especially when they had more than enough reason to get rid of him.
I did like that we got to meet the "real" King Arthur, but I was a bit annoyed that he gets to run away and live his life while Britt literally had to be pulled from the future to replace him without a say or notice.

2. Was honestly so excited to read through this confrontation, knowing it’d be potentially awkward and wondering if I would feel as if it were believable- what could Britt possibly say to win back over her knights? I was excited because K.M. Shea has never disappointed me- not once.
And she handled this beautifully.

The King Arthur and Her Knights series is follows Britt Arthurs, a millennial tourist dragged into the past via sorcery because she's apparently the best person to impersonate Arthur Pendragon. Except she's a woman. Oops.
It's a really light, fun, and fast moving series. It doesn't go in much for historical accuracy (plate armor was not a thing until the fourteenth century, jousting was not a thing until the tenth century, 'Duke' was exclusively a continental European title until the reign of Edward III, etc), but considering there's also various magical hijinks including time travel I don't think it matters all that much. It's an enjoyable series that makes for a good break between all the more serious books that want to grind your heart into dust and make you cry, and it is one that I would recommend.

Pretty good story, but it did feel like the heroine gave up a bit too easily. And why was Lancelot even allowed in the room when "it" happened? That guy really should have been arrested. Banished. I don't care, but it drives me nuts that he got off scott-free for his actions. However I absolutely loved how the girls have gotten together to for the "Lancelot Hate Club". Those scene are by far some of the funniest in the book. I can always count on K.M. Shea's books to give me a good laugh when I need it.

I loved this whole series! I got the first book free somehow, and was totally hooked. To be clear, when I saw the title and heard the synopsis I totally eye rolled. Really -King Arthur is a girl and time transported?!! But then I read it and I LOVE the series. The twists from the original story were great- a sexy Merlin? It took some getting used to, but now #yesplease. And sometimes when life is hard or I’m dealing with conflict, I think “what would Brit Arthurs do?” I highly recommend the whole series.

Enlighten both amazed and touched me very much...with all the action and wit this series has contained, I think so much of it stops here as Britt has to figure out her next move without Merlin's help. She also has an encounter with someone that I simply loved. It was very revealing how the women she knows as well as her knights respond. I didn't think she was cowardly in her response at all. I thought Britt showed more courage and determination than ever before. REALLY wanted Lancelot to get justice, he surprised me too but so don't trust him! Such a great series and don't want it to end.

It finally came, her secret revealed. I wasn’t sure how it would be revealed but thought it was done really well; I liked the mix of responses and seeing the journey a lot had gone on. Also the sneak part of the real Arthur was some nice closure. Hoping for some more romance in the next two books, but know it’s hard in this case. Can’t wait for the next two books.

Still getting better and better. Lancelot is a cad, Britt’s injury-spurred gender reveal causes outrage amongst the Knights of the Round Table threatening Britt’s rule and a chance meeting with the original Arthur has the chance to either see Britt run or return to Camelot to stand up for herself…. Plus we end with the arrival of Mordred.
There is a ton packed into this book, and the book opening with a meeting of the Lancelot Haters Club had me laughing so hard.

Britt's secret comes out, and lots of crazy things happen! Thankfully Britt manages to get everything under control. I also like the cute trio of Britt, Nymue and Morgan. They are very perceptive and a much needed touch in Britt's life. There are some cute Merlin and Britt moments too! I really liked it.

Entire series review:
At first it was slow, but then I couldn’t put it down. It definitely had ups and downs, but it was a fun and clean read. Had a few slow moments where I thought I would quit mostly because I wanted to know if the love interests ended up together. The end was a very interesting twist.

I did not see that coming!
Britt and Merlin and the knights endeavor to make a untied and better Britain but things keep getting in the way. I couldn't believe what happened in this story but now I must know what comes next! An enlightened read!

Loved this one! And here's a great thing - even if you know the Arthur legend, don't think you know how this series is going to go! It's entirely fresh ground.
