Wonderful book. While focused on the primary river of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, this is an informative and entertaining exploration of the history of Mobile and the central gulf coast. I learned a lot.

You can't understand the South without understanding Mobile and you can't understand Mobile without understanding the history of the Mobile River.
