This ninety six page book of lore is brimming with rare knowledge about the lands, monsters, people and pastimes of the world of The Witcher. Created by David S. Hodgson, this book can only be found in the Collectible Hardcover Guide.
I THINK this is supposed to be a primer on the lore of the Witcher series so you're ready for the game. but this spoils some MASSIVE plot points for the game. I've already played it, so it didn't spoil anything too much for me.
if you played the first two games and/or read the books, you really wouldn't need this. (why would you play the third game in a trilogy but not the first two anyway???)
the wiki is also a better, less rambling source than this for any Witcher know how you needed to brush up on.
This would've been way more useful if it summed up the books. The games are much better known, the books are not. most people outside of Poland aren't even aware the books exist.
just do yourself a favor. Skip this. read the wiki, or better yet, the book series this game is based on. they're good I promise.
This is a surprisingly intense chronicle of the Witcher lore related to the games. It also includes brief notes about events from the books. It's strictly for Witcher nerds, not newbies. A lovely little book, but the text is small enough to make reading s headache.
I'm mainly just thoroughly confused by this. It has a gorgeous cover, and I love feeling it because it's that kind of hardcover where it's soft and smooth at the same time and UGH I just wanna rub my face on it...
But I have no clue what's going on in the internal pages. I read through pretty much everything, and it seems like an encyclopedia of sorts. For a game, perhaps? I think something like the Magic card game, or maybe Diablo or something, where there's lots of story and background and stuff. For me, it just seemed like one long tutorial for a new computer game.
Great character reading. My only complaint is the lettering was WAY too small. But it was a fine example of how to keep your characters and story line on target. :)
