Last book didn’t develop the story, and took an odd turn regarding all the other characters. I’d have rather the author quit the story in book 2, this kind of ruined the story.
I really liked this series at the start. The concepts and setup had a lot of potential, and I was genuinely interested in where things might go.
Unfortunately, this book felt like the author had grown tired of writing about it and just wanted to wrap things up. The pacing was rushed, the characters lacked depth, and even the upgrades felt unremarkable—nothing special or inventive. The ending of the book was rushed even more and was kind of weird.
If this is how the author closes out a series I'm not sure I'll try another from him.
In the end, the book undid almost everything that made the beginning promising in the series.
It started so well, it was a good read until the last couple of chapters when it felt like the author just gave up and was done with the story. Poor ending that let the entire series down. I wouldn't recommend starting this series.
Hey sir this series was super great Dont know if somethings going on at home! But if it is i hope its okay not trying to spoil but the ending brother thats how i knew sonething wasnt right too rushed but love the creativity but man
A really fun series but completely ruined by the end. It had such potential but then it just abruptly ends with the death of most of the side characters. There could have been so much more the explore and develop but now we won't get that.
… but I can’t recommend this one. There was some “…this is dumb…” but when the protagonist didn’t read the appraise results until his attack failed… just no.
