Intentionality!
You know it is something about an intentional, determined, and persistent man who gives hope to the hopeless. Major had his flaws, but what human doesn't. However, what he was standing on business about was Ms. Dynastie. He loved her every year when they were in arms reach plus the ones when they were miles away from each other. He truly wanted her to succeed. Dynastie kept her flame burning for him as well. She wasn't happy about a few life events that happened, but it was nothing she could do about it. Dynastie psycho ex should have been residing in a white padded room in a jacket. His premeditated plan he created was quite mind-boggling and scary. He had a full circle moment where Major met him to resolve all issues. Dynastie and Major finally got the opportunity of their lifetime to live their happily ever after. It took a few hurdles, but they glided right past them.
Ladies and gents, this is another masterpiece by the one and only Kay Shanee. She knows how to hit the target on the bullseye. Now, this story isn't short of secrets, plot twists, and revelations, so buckle up buttercup. It does show growth with a young couple from high school to young adulthood. It's well written so I highly suggest you get into it. It's a lot more going on from cover to cover that I didn't mention.

Man… Major and Dynastie had to fight for that HEA. My goodness.
I understood why they broke up initially—it made sense. Their love for each other never faded, but at that point in their lives, staying together just wasn’t what either of them needed. Still, a part of me wishes they had because neither of them ever truly moved on. She folded like clean laundry coming back into his life so I just knew this was going to be a cute second chance romance. Nope. The author took us through it with these charwcters!
I side-eyed Major quite a bit in this book. He was not a great communicator, and there were moments when I genuinely thought Dynastie should have walked away. When she said, “You’re a piece of f— work. It’s like you don’t want us to work, because you keep doing dumb s— to mess everything up,” I felt that. 😂 Because sir… you finally got her back after fumbling her years ago, and you’re about to lose her all over again.
But Dynastie wasn’t innocent either. I definitely side-eyed her for keeping the secret she did. He deserved to know from the beginning. And I wonder if she hadn’t been confronted, would she have ever said anything.
Between the unexpected plot twists (WTF Jordan?) and emotionally stunted characters, this definitely wasn’t one of Kay Shanee’s softer stories. It was messy, emotional, and had me side-eyeing just about everybody. The ending felt a bit rushed, but I was happy to see that after everything they endured, they found their way back to each other.

Rahkia for the win
I was fully expecting something different I am so glad I didnt get that. But baybee that plot twist was whoa. Again didnt see that coming. I appreciate the way the writing kept me guessing. I also love the fact the FMC teeter too long that back and forth too much annoys me. But Ms. Rahkia has to be my favorite character in this book. If yall read it yall will see why.

Dynastie and Major were a beautiful second chance story. Unfortunately time and circumstance caused them to part ways the first time. I understood why Dynastie was upset because Major did a terrible job at communicating what was going on but in the grand scheme of things it didn't seem that bad to me. Thankfully Major was willing to do the work to have Dynastie back in his life permanently!

Good book…..but….
Kay is an immediate click for me but to give her art the proper respect I have to leave truthful reviews. This was just ok due to several factors. 1 - she allowed sex entirely too soon. This man devastated you, ghosted you for six years, you lost your child but yall having sex within the first day of reconnecting. 2 - Dontrell’s storyline had no purpose or reason in this story….just why?? It seemed like it was added to up the page count. This is the first time I didn’t feel good finishing one of her books. It just left me feeling blah. This in no way stops me from being an immediate click as no one can get it perfect every time.

Overall, I really enjoyed this short read. It gets right to the point and keeps things moving, which I appreciated. My only issue with books like this is that they can leave you wanting more. By the time I was fully invested, I found myself wishing there was more depth and development. Still, it was an enjoyable and engaging read.

A Major Love Indeed
This book was captivating and emotional. Dynastie and Major were young and in love but their goals were taking them in different directions. Major messed up real bad and he broke Dynastie’s heart and he broke his own heart. It’s been six years and he wants her to write his memoirs but he mainly wants his woman back. He knows he doesn’t deserve another chance but there’s no one else for him. He now has to do what he should have done years ago and that’s face Dynastie, apologize and ask for forgiveness.
I loved this book. I loved that Dynastie dealt with Major’s betrayal and worked on herself. Even though she missed that man tremendously she still went on about her business. She experienced relationships and lived her life. The petty part of me enjoyed that his chest caved in when she was honest about her love life. Baby ain’t nothing stopped because she wasn’t with him. Anyway, I digress!! I loved this second chance love story. I love how these young lovers sought therapy to fix their love which transcended time and distance. Get this book. It’s real, it’s sexy and it’s beautiful.

Major and Dynastie!!
Major and Dynastie started as friends while in school but became lovers after high school. Major's actions, plus their lack of communication, caused them to separate. Years later, Major is ready for Dynastie to become his again so he offers her a job to co-write his memoir. Dynastie is hesitant at first but ultimately decides to do it. Because of the love and passion between them, it's not long before their strong feelings overcome them. The love scenes were hot and spicy, and I just loved their vibe. I'm glad that they were able to work through their hurt and pain with therapy. I wasn't expecting the twist when it came to Jordan/Dontrell. He was totally diabolical in his thinking and actions. Kay Shanee wrote a great second chance book that I completely enjoyed from beginning to end. I'm hoping that Brax and Jrue end up with their own books as well.

A Major a Fight
If I read “ I’m sorry” one more time I would’ve burst. Major was full of shyt. There were several time he could’ve told Dynastie how he felt, but he kept it from her and covered it by overly fake supporting her dream. They could’ve made it work when she was offered the job. I also found it quite silly to break up with her so she could go to school but still keep all aspects of the relationship the same except the title. It came across to me as an out to be with somebody else should the opportunity arise. That baby mama got pregnant on purpose idc idc! Naming their daughter after the love of his life was NASTY work. On top of not reaching out to Lovie for 6 damn years put Major in a league of his own. At every turn Major had the nerve to be mad when things didn’t go his way but then had to did in his bag of apologies when it was all said and done. Lastly JORDAN! That man was a who,e fatal attraction not just to Lovie but to Major!!

This was a really good second chance romance. I loved that even after so much time had passed Major and Dynastie still had so much love for each other. Eventually, she changes her mind, and they find themselves in each others presence again. Their attraction can not be denied, but is rebuilding possible.
They find themselves having to address their past, especially when it is affecting their present.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read! The love between Major and Dynastie was absolutely beautiful. Even after being apart for years, they never truly let that love fade. ❤️
I loved watching them work through their problems and find their way back to each other. BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT TWIST?! 👀 Because BABY… I was NOT expecting that!
And the spice? 🔥🔥🔥 So good! It was the perfect blend of romance, drama, emotion, and spice.

This was crazy.
I enjoyed the few plot twist. Dynastie.... girl you play too much. Two years was too long but IRL some stay longer. Your mother, brother, and bestie was right. There was nothing there but a good rump and you didn't want that all the time. I am happy with your choice after dude went left from rejection.
Major, you a messy individual. I will leave it at that because you only played fare when you hoped in that car and at the end. I liked you though but you were somewhat messy.

This Love Was A Workout
Getting to the finish line at first looks like the vision we create. But it's not always a sprint or pretty. The long distance has taken you through different courses, distances, twists and turns. Maturity comes, players come and go but lessons are learned. Enemies come and hide in plain sight and will surprise you of the lengths they'd go. Mistakes, assumptions and bad decisions form the course of these trials with lasting circumstances. But destiny, fate and Major's definite decisions to get his Lovie back made this a love story for the books. The race finally curved their destinations to that one finish line. All the distance, destinations and hard work rewarded them with a very strong finish together. Loved this journey and outcome truly.

I Love You In A Major Way!
This story was so different yet interesting in the best way. Their HEA came after major secrets and a plot twist that I didn’t see coming from a mile away. I love that it wasn’t a traditional love story but a love story nonetheless. It shows you that no matter how much you love someone it takes more than love to last, you need honest and open communication. Even when you right your wrong with word’s sometimes it takes action and effort. Kay didn’t disappoint at all. I did want Dynastie to make him sweat more and work harder 😂

I love me some Major because his heart was in the right place he just went about it wrong and child the way he made up for it lol lol this was a sexxy and feel good spin the block with a twist! And Dy knew what she had & once he came correct the heat could not be denied!!

This was a good read. It threw me off a little because it picked up really really fast. There was a lot happening and It was taking me for a loop. Kay Shanee is a great writer this book for some reason took me way to fast and I'm trying to figure out where the book went and what happened in between.

I love all Kay's books and this was no different. Major and Lovie were so cute together. I love how Major took responsibility for the wrong he did, but Lovie never took responsibility for hers. She knew she was wrong for never telling Major. He definitely had BDE and was all gas no brakes when it came to her.

Whew! Dynastie and Major’s journey was definitely one for the books! 😂 Their story was a true second chance that came with apologies, forgiveness, and a whole lot of learning how to communicate effectively. 🗣️❤️
I was pleasantly surprised by the plot twist because I was NOT expecting it! 😮💨👏🏽 But WOW! What an amazing read! 📖🔥❤️

Another One!
Every time I dive into a book by this author, I’m never disappointed. Kay knows how to push and pull just enough to have you in your feelings and having to know what’s next at the same time. Who doesn’t love a spicy,well written second chance story? Dynastie & Major were a great time. Go read it!!

Major and Lovie 🥹😍
Ahhhhh SWOOOON!!! Lol i live for a good second chance love story!! After some hard truths, confessions and A LOT of growth, Major and Dynastie made it to their HEA. I’m sad this book ended. It was a bit emotional, but shout out to therapy!! Ughhh i loved this story…in a Major way!!!

Emotional
It was an emotional book. The couple went through so much. I can see it taking forever to learn, grow, forgive, and love. Some people wouldn't have gone back and forgiven.
I am glad that they went through the journey .
I would recommend the book.

Disappointed
While Kay is one of my go to authors this book just didn't sit well with me. The FMC has no accountability during the whole book. The MMC was just illogical and determined to continue their relationship from where it last was. Just ok.

Broken Heart
This story was too good. Major was all about his love for only one person.Dynastie was bitter about things that she help create.
Majors daughter had more sense than both of them.
I love stories about real love.

I ate this one up in a couple hours lol. Sis folded a lil too quick for me and that man had all the audacity!!!! I had a good time reading this though, i was definitely shocked from the plot twist.
