Rejoice! After the complete disaster (in every way possible, pun intended :3) that was the last Henry Bins novella 3:21 a.m., I awaited with cautious expectations to see if Nick Pirog would just turned up to be a fluke or one-time wonder, or is he the real deal that I hoped for since the shockingly original and breathtakingly refreshing first book in the Henry Bins series 3 a.m..... And yes, he delivered. Actually that's an understatement, let me clear it a little more: HOLY SHIT DID HE DELIVER!!! Yeah, now that's more like it :D
This book in the absolutely great Henry Bins series is like an epic finale of all the loose plot points and unresolved mysteries that began from the first part, and culminated into a literally edge-of-the-seat nailbitingly thrilling, breathlessly suspenseful, braintwistingly imaginative story that gave all the answers in the finest way possible: A grand old-fashioned intricately detailed meticulously plotted mystery. In fact, there were apparently two different mysteries, one with Henry's mother and a mysterious flash drive that she wants from him (which he has no idea about), and a thirty year old murder case of a teenage girl. Both cases didn't seem to have anything in common or related in any way possible... Or do they?
Let's just say, author Nick Pirog amazed me at every twist-turns in this short but explosive, blisteringly paced pure fun thrill ride! Along the way, we went right down to the most enigmatic core questions of this series: WHAT is this "Henry Bins condition" that our hero suffers from? How did he got it?? Why??? Can it be reversed? If so, how?? And most of all, WHO IS HENRY BINS? Where did he come from, who really were his mother and father?? Rest assured, eventually we get everything, and then some. Not only the main story was a perfect piece of brainwork, the characterization of Henry Bins was spectacular with just the right amount of depth and detailing needed to drive plot developments to the desired end. In fact, I'd go so far as to say the much awaited climax was way more character-driven than plot-necessitated, and because at that point we know perfectly well who Henry Bins the person is and what he's made of as a human being, we stand by him and cheer all the way. And like in previous books, I laugh out laud a couple of times with the trademark witty banter between Henry and Lassie the cat. On a side note, somehow to me the relationship of Henry & Lassie felt much more real and developed than Henry & his girlfriend Ingrid; because we always witness Henry's interactions and relation with the cat, but only hear about how great his relationship with Ingrid is or how much in love they are. Honestly, it simply never sounded 'true' to me. I guess because after the end of the first book where Henry and Ingrid only met & got acquainted, in the later books (including this one) the development of their relationship leaped from one point to another, Ingrid was more or less sidelined in the stories and we only got scattered glimpses of her and hear Henry's thought about her.
Anyway, as I was saying, this book is a seamless blend of intelligent plot and character. Coupled with Nick Pirog's flawless storytelling and masterful writing, it grabs you from the very first line and doesn't let go till the very end. And even then you'll surely be panting for more (Damn you Nick with your out-of-nowhere cliffhangers!!). I loved the first book as it truly surprised me with its originality and genuine awesomeness from an author I never previously even heard of, the second one was thoroughly entertaining too, as little can be said about the third one the better, best to just ignore it's existence (although to be fair in retrospect of this one, the third book does offer up some significance, as tiny as they maybe), but this fourth book is easily the BEST yet in the series, from its mindblowing revelations to its plotting-characterization-storytelling, in every angle. Conspiracy, murder-mystery, thrill, suspense, emotions, pain, happiness, heartache, humor, even a little action... All in less than two hundred pages, what more can I ask for? As I said in my earlier review of 3:00AM: this little novella of 100 or so pages packed way more punches than many other 400-500+ page thrillers.--If its even possible, more true in this case. Nick Pirog has made a definite devoted fan out of me, and I can hardly wait (as long as its not another DREAM SEQUENCE) for the much anticipated next one in the series: 3:46 a.m.. Oh, the author also said afterward that there will be a final one after that, so YAY!

THIS IS THE BEST. YET. PERIOD.
While I was literally galloping for answers, I was wondering would I be really satisfied if I get them. That's the reason I've saved it for till now. But i couldn't wait much longer. And yes I am more than satisfied.

So, last book was a mess, I am one of those luckier ones who didn't threw their kindle to the wall after finishing it. From beginning Henry started poking around, this time he was confident, More juiced up( I guess that's the perk of having a girlfriend).
What he came across was not out of this world but surprising. I liked it how Nick used the same method from previous books but it didn't bored the fuck out of me. Lassie was Lassier, Murdock was well.. Murdock. Ingrid kicked ass. ^_^
Overall it was worth it!! But the last line!! Another cliffhanger. Urgh!

অসাধারণ!! এত ভালো লাগবে আশা করি নি। এক নিশ্বাসে পড়ে ফেলার মত গল্প। এত জমজমাট থ্রিলার আগে কখনো পড়ি নি। প্রতিটা অংশে অংশে টুইস্ট দিয়ে ভরা। প্রতিবারিই আমি চমকে উঠছিলাম। এত ছোট পরিসরে এত ভালো গল্প কল্পনায় করা যায় না! নিক পিরোগ কে ধন্যবাদ এবং ধন্যবাদ সালমান হককে এত সুন্দর অনুবাদ করার জন্য। মন ভালো হয়ে যায় এত ভালো অনুবাদ পড়লে!

Short, sweet, enthralling and oh so clever. The characters are instantly loveable and the storyline is compelling and easy to read.

হেনরি বিনসের চতুর্থ অভিযান হলো থ্রি : থার্টিফোর এএম। থ্রি : টোয়েন্টিওয়ান এএমের দুঃস্বপ্ন অথবা দুঃসহ অভিযানের পর হেনরি আবার নেমেছেন সত্যানুসন্ধানে।
এক ঘন্টা জেগে থাকা এবং তেইশ ঘন্টা ঘুমিয়ে কাটানো হলো 'হেনরি বিনস সিন্ড্রোম'। এ অদ্ভূত মেডিকেল কন্ডিশনেই থেকে এস্পিওনাজ জগতের সব রহস্য এবং ব্যক্তিগত দুর্গতি অতিক্রম করে চলতে হয় হেনরিকে।
যারা থ্রি : এএম সিরিজ পড়েছেন কিংবা পড়ছেন তারা জানেন মূল রহস্যের কেন্দ্রে আছেন হেনরির মা। স্নায়ুযুদ্ধের সময়কালে বিভিন্ন এক্সপেরিমেন্ট এমনকি আফগানিস্থান অভিযানের সময়ও টেনে নেয়া হয়েছিলো, বন্দিদের নির্যাতন করে তথ্য আদায়ের জন্য।
এ পর্বে হেনরি বিনসের বাবা, বিড়াল ল্যাসি, বিশাল প্যাট ডগ মারডক, এবং হেনরি যথারীতি নিজেই নেমেছেন ত্রিশ বছর আগে ঘটে যাওয়া এক হত্যাকান্ডের সুলুকসন্ধানে। জেনিফার নিউবার নামের এক অল্পবয়সি মেয়ের পারিবারিক ট্রমাপ্রসূত মানুষজনকে ব্ল্যাকমেইলিং এর পরম্পরায় কেঁচো খুড়তে সাপ বেড়িয়ে আসে।
হেনরি বিনসের এরকম কন্ডিশন কেন? এক ঘন্টা জেগে থাকার পরও সে কীভাবে এত বুদ্ধিমত্তা প্রদর্শন করে? সিন্ড্রোম থেকে মুক্তির উপায় কী? অনেক প্রশ্নের উত্তর পাওয়া যেতে পারে এ পর্বে।
দিনে মাত্র এক ঘন্টায় উত্তম পুরুষ বয়ানে হেনরির চোখেই পাঠককে দেখতে হয় সব। তাই সিরিজটি এম্নিতেই দ্রুত গতির। তাছাড়া হেনরির বাবার গোয়েন্দাগিরি তো আছেই। ল্যাসি এবং মারডকের খুনশুটির কারণে অনেক সময় গল্পটা কার্টুনের মতো হয়ে যায়।
আগের পর্বগুলোর তুলনায় অনেক বেশি তথ্যসমৃদ্ধ এবং উন্মোচনমূলক হওয়ার পরও এ পর্বটি ধারাবাহিকতা ধরে রাখার জন্য পড়া। তবে থ্রি : টোয়েন্টিওয়ান এএম তুলনামূলকভাবে নতুনত্ব এবং অ্যাডভেঞ্চারের ভাইবটা বেশি এনেছিলো।
নিক পিরোগ পাঠকের জন্য একদিন কমিয়ে এনেছেন এক ঘন্টায়। তাই ঘটনার ঘনঘটা অনেকের কাছে খুব থ্রিলিং মনে হতে পারে। আমার কাছে মাঝারি লেগেছে।
পরবর্তি পর্ব পাঠ শেষে রিভিউ লিখার আশা রাখি। সালমান হকের অনুবাদ ভালো লেগেছে। শুনেছি অগাস্টে ষষ্ঠ পর্ব আসছে এ সিরিজের। দেখা যাক।

অনেকদিন ধরে কিছুই পড়তে পারিনি,অবশেষে ৩ঃ৩৪ এ.এম পড়লাম।
থ্রিলার পড়তে ভালোই লাগে যদি তা মনমতো হয়।নিক পিরোগের ৩ এ.এম থ্রিলার সিরিজ খুব উপভোগ্য তারই ধারাবাহিকতায় ৩ঃ৩৪ পড়লাম, অনেক উপভোগ করেছি।
এই পর্বে আমরা অনেক কিছু জানতে পারবো হেনরি আর তার মা সম্পর্কে।
ল্যাসি তো বাবা হচ্ছে ভেবেই হাসি পাচ্ছে।😝
যায় হোক জেনিফার মার্ডার কেস সলভ করতে গিয়ে হেনরি তার মা সম্পর্কে এবং তার এই হেনরি বিনস সিন্ডোম সম্পর্কে অনেক কিছু জানতে পারে।
#বইটি ভালো ছিল- আমার কাছে ৩ এ.এম সিরিজের প্রথম পার্টটি বেশি ভালো লাগে তারপরে চতুর্থ পার্ট টি ভালো লেগেছে।অনেক কিছুর জট খুলেছে কিন্তু শেষে একটা ইমেইল নত���ন করে আবার সবকিছু তালগোল পাকিয়ে দিয়েছে। 😵
মোটের উপর ভালো একটা থ্রিলার বই।

ল্যাসি তো বাবা হচ্ছে ভেবেই হাসি পাচ্ছে।😝
যায় হোক জেনিফার মার্ডার কেস সলভ করতে গিয়ে হেনরি তার মা সম্পর্কে এবং তার এই হেনরি বিনস সিন্ডোম সম্পর্কে অনেক কিছু জানতে পারে।

সিরিজের ৪র্থ গল্প। ২য় গল্পে যে ভীষণ চমকপ্রদ ইঙ্গিত ছিল, সেটার ভাব-সম্প্রসারণ ছিল এই গল্পে এবং সম্প্রসারণটা ভীষণ উপভোগ্য হয়েছে শেষ পর্যন্ত। হেনরি বিন্স তার আগের চেহারায়, হেনরি বিন্স সিরিজটা তার আগের রুপে। কথায় কথায় এগিয়ে যাওয়া একটা তদন্ত আর তার পাশে ল্যাসি-মারডক-পিচেস-মার্শাল-লাটিমারের মজাদার উপস্থিতি, কিছুটা সময় পার হবার পর জেনিফারের ডায়রী এবং সিনিয়র বিন্সের তদন্ত, সেই তদন্তের জের ধরে আরও কিছু চরিত্র, একটা খুন, কয়েকজনের কন্সপিরেসি, চরিত্রের চেহারা পাল্টে যাওয়া, অনেকগুলো প্রশ্নের উত্তর জানা এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত জানা; “আপনি যা জানতেন, তার বাইরেও অনেক কিছু ঘটতে পারে। আপনি যেমন চেনেন, তার বাইরেও চেহারা থাকে কারও কারও।”
এই ৪র্থ গল্পটা এখন আমার পছন্দের শীর্ষে। সিরিজের সেরা, সো ফার। মগজ খেলানোর, চমকে যাওয়ার মতো অনেক অনেক উপাদান আছে এই গল্পে। আর আছে পরবর্তী বইটার ইঙ্গিত। ইঙ্গিতটা এমনই, আপনি সিরিজের সাথে জুড়ে থাকতে বাধ্য হবেন এবং হেনরি সুস্থ হোক, এমন একটা প্রত্যাশা তৈরি হবে। লেখক দারুণ সফল এখানে, চরিত্রকে নিয়ে প্রত্যাশা তৈরি করতে পেরেছেন পাঠকের। তবে মনে হচ্ছে, হেনরির সুস্থতা নিয়ে গিমিক একটা রাখবেনই সিরিজ শেষ করে; তারপরও। শেষ দেখার আগ পর্যন্ত প্রত্যাশা করে যাই হেনরি সুস্থ হোক। তার জীবন ২০,০০০ ঘন্টা থেকে কয়েক লাখ ঘন্টায় দাঁড়ায়।
সালমান হক পুরনো কেউ না। কি বয়সে, কি উপস্থিতিতে। খুব বেশিদিন তো হলোনা ওর প্রথম অনুবাদের! গত মেলাতেই বোধহয় থ্রিঃএএম এসছিল। কিন্তু ভাল অনুবাদের বেলায় বয়েস আর অভিজ্ঞতা যে সবার জন্যে অন্তরায় নয়; সালমান তার প্রমাণ। কি ভীষণ সাবলীল অনুবাদ করে সে! তাকে দেখে ঈর্ষা হয়। পিচ্চি এক ছেলে, কি দূর্দান্ত লেখনী তার। তোমার জন্যে অনেক অনেক শুভকামনা রইলো সালমান। অনুবাদের এই মানটাও যদি ধরে রাখো, তাতেই দেশের লোক পরিতৃপ্তির ঢেঁকুর তুলবে আরও অনেক দিন। জীবনে ঢেঁকুরের দরকার আছে।
এই ৪র্থ গল্পটা এখন আমার পছন্দের শীর্ষে। সিরিজের সেরা, সো ফার। মগজ খেলানোর, চমকে যাওয়ার মতো অনেক অনেক উপাদান আছে এই গল্পে। আর আছে পরবর্তী বইটার ইঙ্গিত। ইঙ্গিতটা এমনই, আপনি সিরিজের সাথে জুড়ে থাকতে বাধ্য হবেন এবং হেনরি সুস্থ হোক, এমন একটা প্রত্যাশা তৈরি হবে। লেখক দারুণ সফল এখানে, চরিত্রকে নিয়ে প্রত্যাশা তৈরি করতে পেরেছেন পাঠকের। তবে মনে হচ্ছে, হেনরির সুস্থতা নিয়ে গিমিক একটা রাখবেনই সিরিজ শেষ করে; তারপরও। শেষ দেখার আগ পর্যন্ত প্রত্যাশা করে যাই হেনরি সুস্থ হোক। তার জীবন ২০,০০০ ঘন্টা থেকে কয়েক লাখ ঘন্টায় দাঁড়ায়।

I liked it better than the previous 3 books in this series. It was fast paced and the plot had many unexpected twists. Overall, a very interesting read!

If this is the first Henry Bins story you are reading then stop for two reasons.
1. This book won't make a lot of sense.
2. You have missed one hell of a ride and tons of laughter, so go buy the rest of the series.
I loved the last book 3.21am and I thought the end was brilliant, what a cliff hanger and now it all starts to make sense. All the pieces of the jigsaw are fitting together and Henry's horrific drug fuelled nightmare holds a lot of the answers. This story continues with Henry's quest to find out more about his mother and her role in his condition, Henry Bins, where he is only awake between 3 am and 4 am. As the sinister involvement of the President, CIA and his mother grows the more your heart breaks for him yet again. There are so many questions Henry needs to find the answers to. Why has Ingrid been given a cold case to look into out of the blue? What is project Sandman? Can he really trust his father? And did his mother give this condition to him so she could study his behaviour?
On a lighter note Lassie and Murdock are up to new antics. I love this pair. Their visit to a rather posh house is totally hilarious, leaving you in stitches, a massive amount of damage and a female cat with more than she bargained for. The interaction and conversations between Henry and Lassie are superb. The jingle balls escapade has to be one of my favourite in the series.
There are two more books in the series but I would hate for it all come to an end, so please Nick Pirog have a rethink. Already pre-ordered 3.17am The Lassie Files, Missing Gerbil.

সিরিজের সেরা বই নিঃসন্দেহে। অন্য বইগুলোর তুলনায় এই বইটার বিল্ডআপ ভালো ছিল। যদিও যথারীতি বেশকিছু এলোমেলো উৎপাটাং বিষয়াদি নজরে পড়েছে। তবে এগুলা আসলে সিরিজের কমন ব্যাপার হয়ে গিয়েছে। তাই আগের চেয়ে বরং কতোটা উন্নতি হয়েছে সেটা উল্লেখ করা যাক!
সিরিজের অন্যান্য বইয়ের তুলনায় বেশ ভালোই উন্নতি হয়েছে এই বইয়ে। একই সাথে দুটো রহস্যকে নিয়ে গ্রীপং একটা সময় কেটেছে। আগের খন্ডগুলো জুড়ে তৈরী হওয়া বেশকিছু প্রশ্নের উত্তর পাওয়া গিয়েছে। যদিও সাথে আরো নতুন কিছু প্রশ্ন তৈরী হয়েছে। আগের জঘন্য নভেলাটিকে (3:21 a.m) বেশ ভালোভাবে জুড়ে দিয়েছেন লেখক এই পর্বের সাথে। যথারীতি দিয়েছেন বেশকিছু টুইস্ট। যদিও সবগুলা টুইস্ট পছন্দ হয়নি আমার। কিছু ক্ষেত্রে আরোপিত লেগেছে। তবুও সব মিলিয়ে ভালোই বলা চলে। একদম শেষে বরাবরের মত দারুণ একটা ক্লিফহ্যাঙ্গার দিয়েছেন। যা সিরিজের শেষ বইটা পড়তে বাধ্য করবে।

প্রথম তিনটা বইয়ের চেয়ে এটাই সবচেয়ে বেশি ভালো লেগেছে। টুইস্টগুলোও ঠিকঠাক সময়েই ছিলো।আর সালমান হকের অনুবাদও দারুণ।পড়ার সময় দারুণ উপভোগ করেছি।আর শেষের দিকে যে একটা ধাক্কা দিয়েছেন সেজন্য পরবর্তী বইটা পড়তে আর তর সইছে না।

I’ll be honest, I both really enjoyed the rapid action of the book while being at a point where the coincidences are just too much to comprehend or forgive. I’ll finish the series because it is fun, but the laziness of the plotting is becoming painfully apparent.

I love this series. Imagine only be able to be awake 1 hour a day! This was the best of the series so far. It is beginning to reveal how Henry became afflicted, who his mother was, and that his father is not his biological father. I am moving on to the next book!

May 14, 2016This is the 4th and best installment of henry bins series. after a disasterous 23 hours in alaska(!) henry bins returned with a bang. It ties almost all loopholes. How and why he affected with his bizzare disease. And there is a parralel story. A 30 year old solved murder mistry, where a 16year old girl was kidnapped and found dead 2 days later.
Authors story telling is as good as always. This is twice the size than the previous ones. But thia 180 page roller coster ride entertain till its end.
In the last Nick promised another two books. So eagerly waiting for next one 3.46AM.

Tied up so many loose ends, on the one hand, but just kept on pulling that string, o. the other. That's why I love this series! There's always something new: there's a twist you don't quite see coming, a bit of information that doesn't quite add up but keeps niggling in the back of your mind.

হেনরি বিনস সিরিজের এই পর্বটা সত্যিই অসাধারণ। হেনরির নিজের মাকে খুঁজে বের করা, প্রজেক্ট স্যান্ডম্যান, লাল ফ্লাশড্রাউভ সাথে অন্য আরেকটি মেয়ের খুনের তদন্ত সব মিলিয়ে অন্য রকম এক লোমহর্ষক অ্যাডভেঞ্চার। আর সেই সাথে হেনরি কি পারবে তাঁর স্বাভাবিক জীবনে ফিরে যেতে? ও হ্যাঁ হেনরির বাবা নিয়ে আপনি আরেকটা ধাক্কা খাবেন এই পর্ব পড়ার সময়।

* আগের পর্বে, থ্রি টোয়েন্টি ওয়ান এ এম, এই বইটাতে, যতটা মেজাজ খারাপ হয়েছিল, এই বইটাতে সেই রাগ একদম ফিকে হয়ে যায়! সুদে আসলে ফেরত পাই সবটুকু!
* অসাধারণ সাসপেন্স। হেনরি বিনস সিরিজের সবচেয়ে মোটা বই বলা চলে, তাও এতটুকুনও বিরক্ত লাগে নি!
* প্রিন্টিং মিস্টেক বাতিঘরের বইয়ে যে পরিমাণ পাই, এইটাতে, অনেক পরিমাণে কমে এসেছে, খুবই পজিটিভ দিক।
