Cliff hanger...............I really wish the author had included a warning in the book description that this book is a cliff hanger. It was a good story and I enjoyed reading it but was dismayed when I got to the end and there is no HEA or even happy for now. There's nothing to tell the reader when the next book in the series is coming, nothing to say how many books before there is a definite ending. If the book description had included the warning about this being an installment series I would have waited until all of the books were out. I am one of those readers that absolutely hate buying a book and finding out it's part of the story and I have to wait months to buy the rest of the story.
Please go back and update your book description to include full disclosure on whether it's a full stand alone or dependent on other books coming out to finish the story. I really wanted to rate the story higher but I'm too disappointed about the unknown cliffhanger. As many books as I read, by the time book 2 comes out (?) I would probably have to go back and review book 1 but I'm not going to do it. Won't be buying book 2 of ? to get one story.

Due to some serious fan girl attacks I have deleted one sentence from this review that contained the cliff hanging ending. I also went back and found an example of where an author correctly warns the reader that it is an installment or cliff hanger ending. That author says in the book description:
Book one of a two part story. There are many other authors who give the reader advance warning so they can make an informed decision whether to wait until all books are out or go forward reading the installment.
Due to the disrespectful and insulting remarks by the fan girls I will not read any other books by this author.
Please go back and update your book description to include full disclosure on whether it's a full stand alone or dependent on other books coming out to finish the story. I really wanted to rate the story higher but I'm too disappointed about the unknown cliffhanger. As many books as I read, by the time book 2 comes out (?) Being someone who reads MC based books like I drink coffee (which if you know me, saying I'm a coffee addict would be an understatement), I have come to figure out what I love so much about them and what I don't when it comes to those that don't do it for me. RECKLESS? This book has gone far beyond what I expected. I knew of Franca Storm's writing and I know that she is an amazing writer so it goes without saying that I'd delve into her MC book faster than I would if I saw a tattooed biker walking across the street.. yeah.. what a visual right?? Uhm ok. Mind out of the gutter!! Mind OUT OF the gutter.. ;)
I absolutely adored this story from beginning to end!
There is just something so addictive about a couple that isn't the typical sweetheart this and honey that. Don't get me wrong, I love my contemporaries and all things sweet and innocent romance but I can't say that my love for bad boys and dirty mouthed alpha's isn't twice as strong. Say what you want but I couldn't help falling for Ax and his perfect example of why girls like me, love guys like him. Well, I mean, he is fictional but a girl can dream right?
Ax and Rox have that banter type relationship going on from the very beginning. And yes this might be one of those stories that the girl isn't looking for a relationship and the man WANTS to claim her.. BUT it's much more than that. It's so soulful, heartbreaking, romantic and unique..
Franca Storm really knows how to write a badass story!!
Ridden on revenge, Ax comes back as the Vice President of his former MC with the sole purpose of removing the President of the Devil’s Mavericks MC.. With that in mind, he wasn't prepared for her, the girl that he will and does do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in his power to posses as his. The catch though? Roxana does want that.. or at least that's what she keeps telling herself.. UNTIL he challenges her every move and thought!
From there on out, there is a very strong developing story that builds up in pushing the boundaries when it comes to the relationship that forms between the two. Though, it's not always just about them. With Ax trying to take down the rival's club President and with Rox going through with her own very problems;
Limits are tested.
Love is put on the line.
Trust is stretched.
Fear is increased.
AND heartbreak is thrown on the table..
One thing is for sure, Rox is Ax's and he won't let anything change that. Can that be enough though? Is love and attraction stronger than revenge, anger and betrayal??
RECKLESS has been an emotionally sexy journey which I would gladly take again and again! I just can't get enough of every element in Franca Storms creation. Now, patience will be tested upon waiting for book 2...

It touched even the dustiest and messed up corners of my soul, and that alone, I consider to be something to keep me coming back for more of your work. In my hunt to find new MC romances, I came across this stunning cover and decided to take a chance on this book after reading this blurb. As whilst the blurb promised me a biker that I could love tattoos and more . There was more the story of these two and that what kept me turning the page knowing this was only the beginning of their story. Reckless is the first in a two book series about two individuals who past ties them together unknowingly and they are thrown into a situation where the only thing that is keeping them sane is each other. Explosive chemistry between the two of them, from the moment they meet. Ax and Rox are meant for each other. A biker who is on road of vengeance and a woman who is determined to stay away from bikers and run her life on her terms.
Rox isn’t a woman to be mess with. She a protection racketeer who has a heart and is determined to keep her life bike heaven free despite her jo means that she comes to contact with them. She may be tiny but this woman isn’t one to be messed with . A dynamic package, this woman doesn’t know what is about to hit her when she is challenged like no other way she has been before when her terms are called into question and she gets caught up with a biker who won’t say no
Terms which are about to be chucked out of her life thanks to this broody biker name Ax who wants this ballsy woman. . Despite neither of them wanted to know each other when they first hooked but they were stuck together because Ax need her help and he was determined to succeed. As he wants one thing. He was bitter and hard ass about it as he had be through hell and back.
Now in a position where he can do something as VP of Black Thorn MC, he was ready to follow the order he was given. He is a enforcer who has never flinched with his duty until now, he may not always been part of the club but he never strayed away.
Until he forced into a between a rock and hard place with her…..
Reckless is about those moments, throwing caution to the wind and going for the things that could change you life either way. Ax is a career MC man and Rox is a woman who wants a life on her terms. Each has the best interests of themselves at heart and obviously they are going to butt heads. I like how the author set up this series. Yes it ends on a cliff-hanger but it needed it . Rox and Ax need time considering the events that happened in this book and the fact their relationship was so intense.
I rather liked it ending with so many decisions and questions hanging over Ax’s head

ohhhhh I was so sad to finish this book! I need more! :o(
Really enjoyed this, I was gripped from the start and was shouting at my kindle by the end of it.
brilliant storyline and a refreshingly kick-ass heroine! she is awesome!
I don't want to give anyway the ending but needless to say I will be stalking Franca's page for news of the next book! some more Ax please....maybe with some Smiter chucked in too?! :o)

While it clearly states at the end of the blurb it’s a cliffhanger. I didn’t read that far. So that’s my fault and therefore I can’t complain.
I won’t be continuing on. While I do like a strong independent woman. Roxana just plain annoyed me. I tried, I really did. I know she’s suffered and it’s made her into the woman she is today. But I just didn’t like her.
I also had issues with Ax. He was too hotheaded for me.
This is not a bad book. If you like Rox and Ax then you’ll probably love it.

I loved loved this book. I could not put it down! It had me hooked from the start. Nothing like a badass chick against a super alpha biker! Yeah the sparks will fly! Will be stalking Franca' s Facebook for more if this new series. So recommend this 5 star book.

I'm not a fan of contemporary romance but I love MC books, yes everyone of them has a steaming romance involved, but they are not cutesy romance or story lines. Being married to a biker I guess I relate to some of the happenings in the books, The brotherhood and all. This one is about rival gangs, not something I relate to but I do know how down and dirty they can get, and in this book they do get down and dirty. I really enjoyed this book and was hooked by the first page. I do not like the cliffhanger end though. Yes i know this is only book 1 and it is a series so Franca Storm wanted to give us just enough line to hook us for the rest of the series. I'm hooked, reel me in. Going in search of book 2 as soon as i write this.
In the book The adult children of 2 rival gangs come together and begin a romance. Neil whose road name is Ax is the VP of the Black Thorns MC but he is also the son of the President of the Devil's Maverick's a rival MC. He has no love at all for his father as a matter of fact his mission in life is to kill him. Roxanne was the daughter of the one time President of the Black thorn's until he and his wife were killed by the Devil's Mavericks. Rox as she is known now pretty much runs the town of Brockford's security. She makes sure the business are safe from gangs of all types including the MC's.
When the Mav's come to town looking to take over Ax is sent in by His President of the Black Thorns to get intel on what's going on and also help out. This is when he and Rox meets. The chemistry is there between them from the first look. Rox a bad ass in her own right has nothing for any biker except contempt.
As they try to save the town together, to get rid of the Mav's and their romance blossoms. Secrets come out as well. This book is a thrill ride and will keep you up late at night reading, at least it did for me.

I am new to this author but wow!
She rocked me!
Ax and Roxy were amazing!
I love a good MC story as any girl but damn the author send me for a spin and had me go through a wild roller coaster of emotions.
i have to say that in the beginning i found that i felt this insta love thing was too weird but as the story progressed i saw where Ax and Roxy were coming from.
Also i have to say that i was bawling my eyes out at points on the story and in others i laughed so hard my insides were aching.
I can't wait to see what will happen next

Franca! What the junk? Are you trying to kill me with a slow torturous death? HOLY HELL!
This series is going to be fantastic. The characters are absolutely breathtaking in a bad ass dear lord please don’t save me way. Let them take me … seriously DO NOT COME FOR ME.
In the first release, Reckless, Franca is laying the ground work while giving us a tornadic story. Yes, tornadic …. It’s a freaking storm barreling never saw it coming rain hell down on you road throughout the pages.
Roxana James or RJ runs Brockford. She offers protection from anything and everything in exchange for payoff and favors. She is one of the good ones. The Devil’s Mavericks are zeroing in on her territory shaking things up. The most recent, the diner she helped Sarah start, bringing that girl out of being lost into the light. While assuring her friend that the shit that just went down wont stick and she will handle it, a brute of a man interrupts their conversation. From the patches on his leather she knows the three piece patch and the city name on the bottom of the rocker; Reirdon Falls and none other than the Black Throns MC. The V. President signifier isn’t lost on her either. Question is, why in the hell is this man here and what the hell does he want? No one comes into her city, especially biker shit bags. WHAT?!??! … All I could think about was .. damn why.... you are one freaking hard ass woman … but … LOL! Cause what do I know then the story would end … NOT good for writing.
The man standing in front of Rox is none other than Ax (Neil) Barron. Ax walked away from the club two years ago. However Ax has no idea the identity of his contact nor does Rox. She has never seen the likes of this guy before. Where does he fit in? Ax didn’t like the filth that ran through the ranks of the club; wasn’t something he wanted to be involved in. He was nothing like either of the men running the Devil’s Mavericks or the Black Thorns. He wanted out; he didn’t run he just left; but in the MC that wasn’t allowed; he paid his price for it too. The scars he bears are a reminder. But now, … now he’s back as Vice President of the Black Thorns. Trig has pulled him back in and for one reason only; to take out the President of rival club. The president is a sadistic man; a man who likes to play with his prey before he kills them. Ax knows all too well what he is capable of along with a few of his brothers. Trig has sent him to meet his contact to help him take out Skinner. Needless to say he didn’t know his contact was a smart mouthed, hard ass woman. RJ, he assumed was a man. And now … shit hits the fan … ten fold.
There is a brilliant story on these pages ladies. The secondary characters are absolutely amazing as well. Ralph Taylor is Rox’s best friend and is one hell of a guy. I hope we get more of him soon. Daz “Smitter” Forbes is the clubs Sergeant at Arms (swoon), Marcus “Broker” Anders is NOT swoon but he is a key player in this mess along with Bulldozer whom both ride with the Mavs, Cal “Dealer” Austin is someone you will cock your head at when his name comes up, Zeb “Runner” Wilkes is the Black Thorns Road Captain and closest to Ax after Broker’s betrayal, and Grit. RJ is very familiar with Grit after she put him in ICU when he tried to raise a hand to her in a very unfortunate situation and then Trig, the current Prez of the Black Thorns.
I felt like I knew these characters inside and out or at least from the information I was privileged to. Women don’t know all club business ya know? (HA!) There are so many stories to be told yet and Im waiting with baited anticipation for each one. I could not get enough and read almost all night long to get to the bottom of this. The entire time I was yelling on the inside to Franca “don’t you dare do it … don’t you dare … “ Yeah, its that bad … the cliffhanger.
Right now Im so pissed at her I cant see straight. (Thats a good thing -- getting this much emotion from a reader -- exactly what you want) Im telling you its freaking torture. Thank frick I have the second book on my Kindle. I shut it down long enough to write this and get my emotions down on the review and am going back in to book two now. All I can say .. Franca this better end well or ….. well I don’t know what “or” is but it better. LMAO!

Fox had enough attitude and then some. Only made to chapter four.
I get that Ax is a big “tough” foul mouthed fool, who is constantly horny and will F just about anything w/a wet hole.

Call me sexist all you want but when the heroine is acting like such a rough touch and rude bad A it’s hard to remember she’s a she at times . You really destroy all the touch talk and behavior when she’s barely alone w/the “H” 5-10 minutes when she’s sliding down on his ( I’m sure over used) dick because his looks make her panties damp.

You’ve got the h acting soo butch at first it’s honestly hard to know she’s a she at first.

4 Reckless stars!!! I loved this book, what a great start to the series!! I was already a fan for Franca Storm and now after reading this book, I can understand why!!
Ax is the VP of the Black Thorns MC, he’s dark, bitter and dangerous. He’s just returned back to his club after being gone for several years. Rox is a bad@ss and she’s not afraid to let everyone know! Did I mention she’s a control freak?? That all changes when she meets Ax. He never spends more than one night with a woman, but the minute he meets Rox, he knows he’s met his match. The problem?? She wants nothing to do with the club…..so that means Ax is forced to choose…..his lady or the club?? Confused and unsure what will he pick??
This book was beyond amazing!! I fell into this book and didn’t come out for a breath until the end!! This was a great start to the series and I’m in love!!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

I'm not sure where to start with this review. So in no particular order:
1. What dialect was going on here? I couldn't tell what country this was in, or, if it was in the U.S., what region. There were weird interjections and strange past tense subjunctive verbs. The strange syntax pulled me out of the story.
2. Rox was a pretty rough and tumble character, and while I know a lot of people appreciate a strong female lead, she went well over that threshold for me. She was abrasive, crude, and, as her friend pointed out, egocentric. I didn't feel a connection with her at all, even knowing she had a tough time with her parents' death.
3. A very odd line of work for Rox - protection, like the mob? Strange.
4. The two main characters didn't seem to like each other that much unless they were having sex. And then Ax caught feelings, and was mushy sometimes. But they still fought all the time. It was wearying.
I didn't much like the story line for the romance because I didn't like the characters, but I was interested enough to read the sequel just to find out if they had a baby and if the mess with the MCs was cleared up.

So many emotions packed into this book.
Reckless is the first book in the Black Thorns series and it is off to a great start. The story was action packed and full of revenge, angst, violence, danger and a deep, passionate love.
Ax and Rox were both survivors of a life filled with pain, loss and violence. They both thought they were in a good place, until the instant chemistry put them through the ringer. I did have a slight issue with Rox giving in so fast, considering her views of bikers, but I liked where they ended up.
This ending...sigh....I need to know more after that crazy ending so I can’t wait to get started. If a wild ride is what you are looking for, here it is!

Well I picked this one out of my kindle library because the cover was hot! I obviously bought it because the blurb was good or it was a recommendation because it’s a new to me author.
I liked it, theres plenty of hot sexy chemistry from the get go and boy does that continue. It took me a little while to get used to the way they both speak, the swearing and double negatives throughout. There were a few sections I had to reread to make sense of them but we got there.
Story was good, characters a little rough around the edges and believable. There were a few twists and turns throughout and plenty of intimate moments to keep the interest there. It was good

Good book, but...
Seriously good storyline with this series. The ONLY slightly irritating thing was the use or non-use of the word "was". Weren't used where it should be wasn't, were instead of was ... was twisting my mind and completely took me away from the story quite a few times until my mind started inserting the correct word. Once that happened, I was able to enjoy the books (yes I bought the series). I'm not sure if this is how this writer usually writes, but the first three that I've read are all the same with " was vs were".

I never write a review like this, because I never don't finish a book, i always find a good point to carry on, but for some reason I just cannot finish this book. I'm not sure if it's the story, because it jumps all over the place, between MC's and characters. I'm not sure if it's the way it's written, because I think it's written the way someone speaks with a certain accent, but it doesn't flow right to me. I just can't get into it. I got to 40%, and it has taken me about two weeks to get there. It might be me as well, but I can't force myself to carry on.

Holy h*ll
Not only is this story hot it heartbreaking. Ax and Rox are made for each other but the truth of who their fathers are have become the single most important reason they can’t be together. This book does end on a cliffhanger, something I’m not happy with, but in order to do Ax and Rox justice it can’t be rushed and another book is needed. Highly recommend

Good read
I would have given this book five starts if not for the lame attempts at making the bikers sound tough by using bad grammar. It made me roll my eyes every time I read the author used ‘round instead of “around” and “weren’t” instead of “was not”. Other than that a good story with a good leading lady.

Don't waste ur time
First off, not a happy ending after Ll the pain & suffering hero & heroine went thru. Actually, not an ending each went their own way. U never know what happened to either. Lastly, this might not matter to everyone, but the English language is really butchered in this book. I always rethink how the sentence shd b.

Hello AX !!!!!!
Love me some MC Biker stories and this one is good very well written, great characters both main and supporting, strong alpha men and women whose love is stronger than the situation. Again a very well written beginning for a new MC Biker series and I can't wait for that beautiful climax with AX & Rox because it has to be one it just can't be any other way !!
