"Safety,food,health,friends,freedom-did I ever take a moment to be grateful for any of it?I'm sure I would have, had I known it would end so soon.
But now I knew for sure;everything had changed. We were on our own.
No one would be coming to save us."

Fun,short and fast-paced.The main character is very interesting,I think she's pretty cool.I like the supporting characters, too, but I like Eva the best. The apocalypse happens immediately so we don't really get to know the characters and their lives before it.I have a feeling that the sequel will be better. Can't wait to read it.

A powerful virus spreads throughout the country, infecting millions and transforming the country into a wasteland of deadly diseased crazed zombies.
Eva and her friends Ben, Jo and Wyatt must do whatever they can to survive.

I love Zombie books. Okay more like obsessed with them. And this one is pretty good. If u love zombie stories and all that gore and blood and running then you will love this one.

I just read this on wattpad for free and this was a pretty awesome read.

Eva Wilde and her friends all work at a 1950's diner in Melbourne, Australia. When a virus spreads and turns people into zombies, they must do whatever they can to outrun the zombie apocalypse that is taking over. Can they survive and make it to Cairns in one piece? Read this and find out.

This was a pretty good first book of the series. Eva Wilde reminds me of a female Ash from the Evil Dead films. If you guys are a fan of horror stories, zombies, and tons of action then definitely check this out. I'll be reading the next installment of this series very soon.

Here's the link so you can read it on wattpad: http://www.wattpad.com/story/3311345-...

OMGS ASDFGHJKL I LOVE THIS BOOK(and the rest of the trilogy!) I literally read this in less than a day, and then read the other two the next two days. J.M.Wilde is a fantastic author! I would love for this trilogy to be published in a physical book format that I can put on my shelf. Eva is a badass, amazing character, and so are the supporting characters. The romance is perfect, and doesn't detract from the story line. The pacing is just right, and the plot twists and turns so much that by the end you are so mind blown that you can't do anything for 24 hours afterwards. I will say though, that it can be quite graphic, and if you are not a fan of violence, I wouldn't recommend it, BUT if your a fan of shows like The Walking Dead, I would definitely recommend this trilogy.

I really enjoyed the story line of this book and so far i'm enjoying the series. The way the author describes the events in the story really get me excited and even makes me feel like i'm actually in the situation the characters are in themselves. I especially love how the main character can get in intense moments yet make it out alive no matter what but the way the situations are described is so phenomenal and i just get so jumpy and i just wonder "will she make it?" and i applaud the author for making it so realistic.

As They Rise is a good start to new series.

Eva and friends find themselves suddenly in a Zombie Apocalypse. Their only hope for survival is to get to a faraway place. They have their fair share of Zombie battles and close calls. There were some things in this story, that I believed could have been left out. I also feel that it could have been longer. It almost felt like it was just the beginning. That was just getting a glimpse before the real story begins.

Because of how short it was, I didn’t really connect with any of the characters on an emotional level. So kind of felt as though, I was just watching them. The intense moments didn’t feel as intense as they could have been.

Overall, I give this Three Boundless Stars, it was a good start.

It was good at first but I just felt bored afterwards. I had fun reading it and the way the author enters the lovers thing while everything is mess was good and I enjoyed it. It's a super quick read as a first book of the trilogy. I just feel bored at some point and parts and how some of the chapter ends with kinda cringey lines was tiring for me.

This was a fun read with a good amount of angst. The writing is good; although the book is a little too short for me to have a coherent opinion. I did wonder at times how they got their survival skills, since they seemed pretty adept for untrained peeps, or is that just an Australian thing? ;)

One of the essential problems with zombie fiction is that there's so much of it, it's difficult to stand out. As They Rise really has little to recommend it beyond its use of an everywoman protagonist, who is at the very least more compelling than the standard zombie hero.

Very short traditional zombie story

This is more like the first few chapters, part 1 of a book than book 1 in a series. Traditional zombie virus story & a couple of small spelling /grammar errors

I feel this was a solid introduction to this zombie series. However, I wish it was a bit longer, and it didn't feel so rushed to get to the action parts. Nevertheless, I will be continuing this series to see if it gets better. I look forward to seeing more from this author.

Fast paced zombie apocalypse.

Well written. Fast paced excitement. Constant conflict with the undead. Hard to put down. A battle for survival. Four young adults seemingly alone trying to reach a safe destination across zombie riddled states.

I honestly don't know what the hype was about this book. It was a good book and all but it doesn't give me anything new or exciting. I'll be completely honest I forgot I was reading it a few times 😂😂

A really faced paced end of the world zombie book that shows the value of friendship and power of true love. I really liked Eva and her friends. Can compare to The Walking Dead.
