In part one of Gone: Sending a half-naked picture to a stranger she met online seems innocent and fun to Lilly Randall. After spending the past four years working towards an honors degree, she needs a distraction and flirting with a man she doesn't know can't hurt, right? Clive Parker is the one man who holds all of Lilly's dreams in the palm of his hand. He's the CEO of one of the world's largest technology firms. When her picture ends up in his pocket, her future will never be the same again. In part two: Just as Lilly was moving towards a bright future, the man she was falling hard for made a choice that would change their connection forever. Desperate to get her life back on track, Lilly sets out on a new path towards fulfillment. Convinced that she can build a life without Clive, she makes decisions that will have far-reaching consequences. In part three: When Lilly's past showed up to taunt her, the reality she thought she knew was suddenly stripped away. It's hard for Lilly to know who to trust when the one and only person who promised to protect her can't give her the simple answers she needs. Believing in Clive may be impossible, and when the choice comes down to investing in him or herself, Lilly makes the only choice she can.
Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.
She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.
I love how all the characters in every series are intertwined someway... but sometimes I feel like it's the same baseline for all her stories... the girl is never the successful super attractive one.. they always seem helpless
Honestly, the 3stars is me being generous. I'd say the serial novella didn't give her much space to develop the characters and the storyline into something more fluid but it's been done.
This was a good, tragic story with a HEA. Lilly suffered one of the most gut wrenching tragedies imaginable and Parker was still healing from the death of his sister. Finding each other thru a pic wasn't the optional way to meet, but worked out for them. i loved that the author gave Lilly a backbone to deal with an older man. Their dynamic was palpable throughout the story. The narrator was great at distinguishing the voices of each character too.
Another smashing hit! I love the fireworks 💥 between Clive and Lilly from the first moment they meet. The bond between the two of them bc of their losses is so powerful and precious. I love how smart Lilly is and how drawn to her Clive is bc of it. Well written don’t read if you don’t enjoy crying bc this one is a tear jerker.
This was better then Exposed. Characters and story very well written. Always love how Deborah includes so many characters from previous books and interweaves them into each new story.
I’ve had this series on my kindle for a long time, finally got a chance to read it. This story is entertaining and enjoyable. I just wished we got Clive’s POV. Overall, I liked it.
I love all of Deborah Bladon’s books. I love the way the characters from one series intertwine with characters from her other books. An enjoyable escape!
Deborah Bladon is one of my all time favourite romance authors and this book was a prime example of why she's my fav. I absolutely loved this book. The characters are realistic and entertaining. Clive was an interesting read. I literally fell in love with him and Lily was beyond amazing. The book was funny and exhilarating. There was drama and suspense. Clive and Lily misunderstand each other constantly. They don't say what they need to say. There are secrets and hidden plotlines in the way that only Bladon ever seems to be able to write.
The book moved quickly and I was finished it within hours. This was one of Bladon's most emotional stories. We think that the books that matter the most are the books that give us something; joy, hope, love... but in reality I think the books that matter the most are the ones that cost us something, the one's that hurt. This book cut me and hurt me. It cost me to love these characters.
I love Deborah Bladon Books! I am running behind on them, and I need to catch up! Clive was a different character from what Ms. Bladon has wrote before, and I loved it! The reason I chose 4 out of 5 stars was mainly because I felt like this series didn't have as much of a shock factor at her cliff hangers as she normally has. The series is well written, has HOT sex as always, and gave you what you wanted. Their were a couple other things about this book that I loved that made it different than the norm, however, I always write spoiler free reviews; so know that this series is worth checking out, and you will love every minute of it!
These 3 books were easy to read in fact it only took a few hours to read all 3 books. However, that is telling in itself! There was no real substance to any of these books, no real story line or character development at all. It cut out details that could have been included to make their relationship sound stronger like their trips to the restaurants etc. Overall these books passed a couple of hours of my time, but left me feeling frustrated as to why I bothered wasting it on this!
"Since you don't know a thing about me, I'm gone." Always misunderstandings, unsaid words, things not spoken about..... whAt is it Lilly is hiding and who is this Ben person she keeps meeting. Of course it's our good Dr Ben Foster! What is the secret they share and how is Clive going to react when he finds out? Clive has his own secrets but soon tells all at an unexpected time. Gone but definitely not forgotten! Enjoy!!
This one cracked me up. I am reading all of Deborah Bladon's serials in a row and just like the others, I loved this one. From the very beginning I was laughing. It quickly took a serious turn and I loved reading the drama of it all as well.
All of Deborah's books introduce such relatable characters that you wish you could jump into the story and help. Definitely a book worth reading. I would recommend reading in order, it's easier to understand all of the surrounding characters.
I felt like I lost something in the middle of the series. Like the characters weren't dramatic enough or not enough chaos hit. Then once it did I was too bored to revel in it. A few parts through out I had my emotions pinched but not throughout he entire series
A great quick read. I read it in one afternoon and had a great time. I read a lot of Deborah Bladon books and I like that all the books are related. But try to wait until the all series is out before reading the books because there is a lot of cliffhanger.
This story was so touching and I didn't want it to end. I have so many questions and fell in love Clive and Lilly. The way the grew together and as individuals was so heartfelt.
I could lay by the pool and read this all day... and I did!! Good characters with a complete ending...I love a book.I can fall in love with the people.
Another beautiful story and love the characters- I want a serious to catch up with all the characters you have brought to life it's like reading a prime time show!
