Lost me at the Beefy Korean girl crush
Maybe it's just not my vibe. But a MC who is constantly blushing like a schoolgirl at the slightest mention of a crush is not my thing. Not to mention his crush was a 'beefy' gymrat korean girl. One who works out all the time, so is all muscular like a strongwoman. Not described as lean, athletic or fit, no described as 'beefy'. That'd be like reading a book where the MC has an thing for obese women and went into detail how much he got attracted to her cankles. Just....not for me.
Then on top of that, well the MC is dumb. It might be realistic that he acts and thinks like a teenage kid but it doesn't make it enjoyable. His tantrums, his random actions for no reason rather than he just feels like it. Just wasn't fun. Also made the dialogue all clunky.
Like for instance. He refuses to be a warrior since he wants to be a mage. No swords, no weapons. Thats for warriors and he's a mage. Even if his powers are literally undo magic, so everyone has to fight physically. Nope, he won't be a sword fighter. No! He will however, since he doesn't want to be a warrior and fight with a sword. Learn to be a boxers, to fight hand to hand. Ah yes because fighting with your hands is so much not a warrior compared to a sword.
Is he a freaking moron? It might be for plot reasons but for actual human thinking. I refuse to fight with a sword so I'll fight with my fists? I'll do less damage and be more physically involved to not be a warrior...instead of using a sword? Really....Just...that kind of stupidity is why I can't recommend this.

This novel has a lot of components I like including: a diverse cast of characters with interesting interactions and relationships between them, a hard working protagonist but they also have a 'unique' ability, and a magic academy setting that tries to balance out between slice-of-life scenes and action. I even like the inspiration taken from Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and (maybe) The Novel's Extra or Harry Potter.
I just got hung up on a few things : some of the characters were just straight annoying at times *cough* MC *cough* Nora *cough*. The power system, ability use and explanation, and even the pacing between certain action scenes just seem inconsistent and was starting to break my suspension of disbelief. Or maybe it just felt a bit... juvenile(?) at some parts.
One part I didn't like was near the end when MC practically guessing something he had barely any information about. He was practically blind and hit a bullseye. Feels like the author whispered the answer in his ear not gonna lie lol.
That being said, I'd be interested in seeing where this goes in the future maybe.

Almost there
Okay, so I'm thoroughly enjoying this book. Let me clarify that right from the start. It's fun, quirky, and has a very modern anime vibe that I really like, and I plan to finish it as soon as possible. 4/5 peach pits because I devoured all four.
But for the love of all that is holy and mango-flavored, can it PLEASE get another editing pass like yesterday?! There are so many damn typos and sentence structure issues that I would seriously think it was AI work if it wasn't a Mango Media property.

Not bad at all
The book and concept are pretty cool, the writing is good but tends to drift a bit with too much exposition. However all and all it is a fun read and I would recommend as a nice easy book to tackle.
The romance sub plot however was terrible, and I really think it should be shoved to the far background as the Main character has much more important things to focus on instead of highschool level drama.

Love the concept
I feel the book had excellent concept but really slowburned for no reason im not trying to leave a bad review but i love the genre so much that the series has so much potential i just think this book could of been half as many pages , with the same amount of action! I know your probably trying to make the book stretch kinda like a filler in an anime. The protagonist got slowburned to oblivion. I love the book id just hate for the potential to be wasted.

My reviews are my own. If you enjoyed this book, I'm glad you did. If not, I respect your opinion, so please respect mine. This is simply my perspective, so let's keep the discussion courteous. As a reader, I read to escape and my reviews reflect that.
This was painful! Incredibly repetitive and childish. The MC is a whiny immature unlikeable cry-baby brat. Maybe the idea of the book was great but awfully developed.
Onward and forward to my next adventure. Happy reading!!!

50% in to a nearly 900 page book and almost nothing has happened. It reads like an adventure but progresses like a slice of life. Not saying it's bad, just not my cup of tea.
