3 books2 followersÓscar Molina V. is an Ecuadorian writer and journalist born in Quito. He is the author of Bouquet (Severo Editorial, 2023), a collection of literary journalism that received an Honorable Mention at Quito’s José Peralta Prize, and Lirema (Severo Editorial, 2026), his first work of fiction.
A collection of thirteen stories, Lirema moves through the unstable borders between the human and the animal, desire and violence, migration and belonging, exploring bodies pushed to the margins and the forms of resistance that emerge from them.
Molina was selected as Miami Book Fair’s Emerging Writer Fellow in Spanish, where he developed the manuscript that became Lirema under the mentorship of acclaimed writer Cristina Rivera Garza. He holds master’s degrees in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and in Literary Creation from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing in Spanish at the University of Houston.
His journalism and essays have appeared in Gatopardo, Telemundo, Univision, El Espectador, The Clinic, GK, and Mundo Diners, among other publications in Latin America and the United States. His work often explores queer lives, migration, the body, memory, and the shifting boundaries between the social and the instinctive.

Basta apenas un poco de ternura, pequeñita, suave, para sobrellevar días, meses y años de violencia. Las flores que crecen en las grietas, eso es este libro de Osquitar Molina.
