Sienna Nealon is a woman with powers far beyond those of a normal human. As head of the unit in charge of policing others with abilities like hers, she has fought more battles than even she can count. But after a case gone bad, Sienna ends up suspended from her job, cooling her heels on Bayscape Island, a picturesque town in southern Lake Superior, seeking a peace that she finds illusive. For even on vacation nothing goes right for Sienna, and soon enough she's drawn into a mystery that sweeps away any hope of peace, replacing it with fear, distrust and a looming calamity that no one could have predicted.

This wasn't one of my favorites in the long line of Sienna's adventures.
Although the beginning was promising enough, you about completely lost me in the last third of the book, when you find out she's been trapped in her own mind through it all.
I was glad, however, that the rift between Sienna and Reed finally got adressed. I love Reed and just about had it with these 2 giving each other the cold shoulder - so there is that at the very least...
I had already made my mind up that i was going to put Sienna aside for a little while after the end of this book - so the cliffhanger was both a surprise and a huge pain in the ass!! Now i gotta wonder what happens next! Arthgghgg....
Sienna gets suspended and uses her two weeks to take a vacation. Meanwhile, Benjamin Cunningham finds himself with new powers and accidentally blows up an airport, leaving Reed in charge of his capture & his old enemy from Italy. Sienna & Reed's relationship problems come to a head when he gets a firsthand experience of what it's like to be in charge. The author did a great job keeping me interested, surprised, and emotionally invested. After 15 books, that's quite an accomplishment.
Really speaking of which. This book is so look great. OH MY GOD it is soooo wonderful. I loved the flow of the book. Was not happy at first but it all came together. Then what an ending. I can not leave now .... NOOOOO have to do e back for more!!!!!! What's next??? Really
I LOVED reading the last 15 books.in this series never a dull moment .I do hope Reed makes it Sienna was so hurt when Reed turned his back on her she really needs her brother still ,well it's time to start trading the next book .Thanks for writing such a wonderful SERIES
Every time I think that this story can’t get more crazy or intense another twist comes and I’m left freaking out. Sienna is definitely one of my absolute favorite characters and I’m so happy reed and her are finally reconnecting. But holy crap Cassidy is a freaking psychopath….
Sienna is on holiday, not a holiday like me or you, a one like no other. Reed is in the driving seat heading up the agency with Augustus. A person is returning from his holiday feeling very hot under the collar , a metahuman who doesn't realise what he is .
Wow! Sienna was in deep this time! Her brother came to a realization I think we, the readers, came to several books ago; Sienna doesn't kill for no reason! I love this series!!
Why would you kill siena brother!!!!!??????? Totally unnecessary. You got me until the last part . I liked the psychological inner struggle part right to the car exploding
Loved it. Enjoying the current storyline, the new characters and the evolution of the not so new characters. Great escapism where you can get lost in a action-packed, sarcastic and quick-witted adventure.
Just as was looking like a well-deserved and long overdue positive ending, the car with Sirena and her brother explodes. My god, is there no peace for the reader?!! Now it, starts another adventure!
5 stars 🌟 for this book, kept me on edge, where was it going, what was happening. I was guessing all the time. People in the town I thought were suspicious but the twist was very good. Hope the next one is as gripping.
I am so upset no one is thinking about feeding that poor dog. I hope you take care of that in the future. That stupid Phillips and Harmon have my blood boiling. Loved the ending despite all the scary stuff though. 😁😁😁😁
This was very mixed. I found the first half quite boring, especially the chapters from Reed's perspective (he's so whiney in this) but the concept in the second half was fun to watch the stories overlapping. I did find the ending a little predictable, but I'm intrigued to see where it'll go next.
Most of the time, I don't see the plot before it plays out and I think that's a large part of what keeps me reading this series and coming back for more.
I think this is my favorite book in the whole series!! I feel like I cant say much without giving away the ending so all I can say is this is definitely a must read!!
