Once again I was burning the midnight oil. What an enthralling story. A gradual buildup to such an exciting climax. A very believable tale indeed. I was glued to every word.
One of the best thriller books I've read.

Well that was a dramatic ending to three great books and I was captivated by all three, in fact you could just say it was one thrilling ride.
As it is a trilogy I would recommend reading the books in order, starting with False Dawn, where things all kick off and then move on to Fractured Dawn before jumping into this book. You won't be disappointed.
Okay, why was this book so good? easy, the author knows how to create characters that the reader cares about and then places them in emotional tense and very dangerous situations. She then let's the action and bullets fly. I loved Mac and the gang and being a big fan of this author was delighted with a surprise guest appearance from a character I know well. Who needs a man to save the world when you have kick butt woman like this.
The author is also very good at dreaming up situations that could very well be happening in the real world, we just don't know it and I sure hope there really is a Mac out there saving our bacon. It makes for an entertaining story but a scary thought.
I know this is a trilogy but I would love to see the characters come back because nobody else can save the world like they can.
With his plan to take over the world's banking system ending in failure, Hale moves go to the finale stages of his plan to take back control of the world. Unfortunately for him the Reynold woman are standing in his way. With Rebecca going after his money source and Mac protecting a judge, he has no choice but add them to a kill list. Will one of his followers be able to take them out before they totally ruin his plans? Maybe if he has his own insurance. With Hale tightening the noose around there necks the Reynolds woman begin to feel the pressure to stop him once and for all. But a betrayal from within could mean they lose it all.

An outstanding and action-packed series finale
Having read the first two books in the Mackenzie Reynolds series and plenty of D. V. Berkom's other books over the years, I had high expectations for this one and it did not disappoint in the slightest. Final Dawn is a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy, delivering high stakes, non-stop action and brilliant character moments from start to finish.
The story hits the ground running and keeps the momentum going all the way through. Mackenzie is such a tough, relatable heroine, and watching her face her biggest challenge yet kept me completely hooked. I particularly loved the appearance from Leine Basso although I would have liked her to meet Etta!! Having followed Leine's own adventures for so long, seeing her step into Mac's world was such a fantastic treat and added an extra kick to an already thrilling plot.
It feels like a fitting finale for the series, but I am certainly keeping my fingers crossed that this isn't the last we see of Mackenzie. Even if it is just a brief cameo in a future Leine Basso novel, I would love to see her make a comeback at some point down the line.
If you enjoy fast-paced thrillers with fierce female leads, you definitely need to pick this one up and, to be honest, any of D.V.'s work.

DV Berkom did not disappoint again!!! I couldn't wait to get my hands on the 3rd book and see what Mac was up to again. These books are full of action, suspense and you don't want them to end. I absolutely loved these 3 books and I'm so bummed they're over. Mac, Jackson, Rebecca and the rest of her peeps are such awesome characters. There's love and betrayal to go with all the action and suspense... it will keep you on your toes. Believe me when it's over you will be wanting more. Keep em coming and I'll keep reading!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Now like I said before... run and get them. Make sure you start with the first one False Dawn and you will know what I'm talking about!!!

I love this series! Mac and her loyal crew are just the best! The book really seems real like the people are real. I like that when I read a book. If you’re going to read this series start with the first one so you can understand what’s going on.. and you’re absolutely going to love Max’s friend, ETTA. THE BOOK HAS HUMOR LOVE KINDNESS, GOODNESS and lots of exciting things happening. I’m grateful the author gave me a book to read ahead of time and write it. I’ve read the others and they’re all good. I hope it’s not the end of them, but each book finishes the story and it makes it even better.

Wonderful series! Mac and her team are trying to bring down Victor Hale. At the same time, he is hunting her family. Mac's mentor, Jackson gets abducted by Hale. Mac has to get him back.
A tense thrill ride. If I say any more, it would have to include spoilers. Must read, especially if you read the first two.

Another fantastic book that was non-stop action. Loved the character cross-over of another Bad ass female character. Great ending to the series and sorry to see it go, maybe it can continue somehow.
