Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Pathfinders # 6 | Comic Review

With the release of Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Pathfinders # 6, the final Star Wars series from Dark Horse has come to an end. This book had some incredible artwork while ending the story in a satisfying way.

As I said, this is the final Star Wars comic from Dark Horse (for now), and this was a fantastic series to go out on. I really like the work of George Mann in his Star Wars storytelling, and this series has been another shining example of that.

The Jedi and Pathfinder teams that have been the focus of the series try to protect the communications in an entire sector of the known galaxy from being destroyed. The madman determined to silence everyone has rigged the facility to a death trap.

For an all ages book, Mann pushes the boundary of horror here. The terrifying mashed-up droids that the Jedi and Pathfinder teams come across in the listening station are spooky! And, all of that comes down to the art.

I love Vincenzo Riccardi’s artwork. I was pumped when I found out that he was coming in to finish the series, and the colors in this book are breathtaking. This rules.

I’m going to miss the Dark Horse Star Wars run. I’m sure they’ll be back sometime.
