I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.

I finally got around to reading book 1 in this series. It was an engaging and totally frustrating read at times for me. I loved the couple you could feel the chemistry between them. I love Bobby I felt he did everything in his power to show Paige he loved her. He made one mistake because he did not want to lose her and you would have thought he had committed the unpardonable sin the way Paige reacted.

Now don't get me wrong I am all for strong black independent women but when you keep rejecting a man after he keeps showing you how much he loves and cares for you, this is why some of us can never get a man. Please!!!! I did not fall in love this way and I don't know any woman who did. If we treated our men this way then they would never marry us. Yes we need to be strong but we don't need to crush our man when he has opened himself up to you.

I know lots of readers say they don't like weak females but I think we are taking this whole strong woman thing way too far. Reading about these strong women puts me off as a woman. I am only now beginning to appreciate how a lot of men must feel when presented with women so stubborn and unforgiving!!! I don't think its attractive to be so hard as a man either but God created women with something special to be able to reach out to a man no matter how hard he is and melt him. Even if he is hard to others he won't be hard towards his woman because he wants to love and protect her.

So whilst this was a good read I cannot say I enjoyed it like you should a great romance because I was very frustrated with how Paige was treating Bobby. I will read book 2 because we are left with a cliffhanger.

I'm extremely surprised at all the good reviews this book got. I managed to finish this book, but it was really out of curiosity as to how bad it could get. I had several thoughts that maybe, just maybe I was reading the wrong book. This book was a mess. There are so many things that was going on in this book which took away from the main storyline. This is the story of Paige and Bobby and truly a large puzzle and needs clarification. Paige was an educated black women who before she reaches thirty is on track to be partner; however, written as 14 yo. I truly don't understand how Paige can call herself an educated woman and not know she is pregnant..REALLY???? Bobby was the oldest brother and the CEO of the firm yet he cried more than Paige. I like to read about true alpha-male with strong ambition and believe in taking action. The author wrote 400 pages of back and forward with indecisive mind and actions which was tiresome, and then stated this is 1 of 3 books!!! PLEASE spare us the pain.... The author threw in everything even the kitchen sink into this book and it still couldn't be redeemed and it seriously need an editor!!!!

No. No. No.

If I read this book before reading "Ballers" by this author, I would not have read "Ballers" and that would have been a tragedy because I totally enjoyed " Ballers' This book is so bad, I wanted to stop reading it about 35 percent in and I slough on through because I had to finish since I started. This book is about a wanna be alpha and a total obnoxious and moronic h. The moronic h spends her time blaming everyone for her problems in her love life, totally failing to understand that the wanna be alpha might care for her and then flips on a dime to hating him and claiming to love the wanna be alpha. Then the rest of the time she spends thinking with her va-ja-jay. There is absolutely no character development and to add insult to injury, she is suppose to be this bad### attorney, who seems to have the common sense of a gnat. And the wanna be alpha; I appreciate a man who loves the h; however, constant begging and pleading and hoping that she stays, just got to be too much. At the end, I wanted him to get rid of her. And the worse, the Whitney and the pregnancy situation.....simply poor. I was never so glad to reach the end of this book.

Hot damn.. okay this book has been sitting on my tablet like forever, I have skipped it several times however last night I said... hmmm let me go back and see what I can find.. and I randomly picked this book... glad that I did.

So... the ending.. first of all my mouth is hanging opened because I have no damn clue what the hell to think or what the hell could actually be going on... good thing that all the books are out already so I don't have to wait but the ending threw the hell out of me. Now I loved the book.. really enjoyed it but for some reason I am not a fan of reading part 2 books when they are not about the main characters... I mean yes I was curious about the other characters in the book but.. not enough to really care to read about them.

HOWEVER.. I guess I am left with no choice because I want to know what the hell happened and why and how this all ties in with Marcus and Rita.

There is some back and forth with the main characters Paige and Bobby in the beginning and I wasn't frustrated with it because it seemed that is what the story needed, usually all the self doubt when it's smacking you in the face frustrates the hell out of me but it didn't bother me.... however what did make me roll my eyes... is the timeframe of which all this happened.. that is my only eye roll moment.

So with all that being said... I am off to read the next book...

Signing off.. Better than what I was expecting...

I had ups and downs about this book. If Paige was such a good people reader, how did she not know that the sisters "friend" was attempting to play game with Bobby? I don't know. Some parts I enjoyed an others I did not. Paige and Bobby got on my nerves. Bobby was definitely needy and if Paige continued to blame him for her past relationships, why even stay?! The cliffhanger tho?!

Great

This was a great start to the series. I like all the characters. Except for Whitney and Chad. To end the story the way she did, was deplorable. On to the next one in the series.

Beautiful beginning

5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read
This is my first read from author Blue Saffire and I absolutely loved it. Check what was not to love? The lead and side characters not only wore their brown skin with beauty they did it intelligence. Moreover, th e leads were an interracial couple and first came together under a mind blowing sex induced haze that Bobby masterminded just to f*ck his princess off his mind only to thrust her powerfully in his heart.

Bobby will stop at nothing to make Paige his. Paige will not be treated like a side piece, nor dismissed as important. She tosses road block after road block at Bobby until he melts her heart.

Unfortunately, this tale does not offer a happy ending. When the twins turn nine months old, tragedy strikes, bringing this beautiful family to their knees. The story continues...

UPDATE
Yes, I love this world so much that when I finally made it through my massive amounts of email and noticed new releases... I had to start from the beginning. As a woman, I love these alpha in control men that will do anything to protect their families and the women they love. But I also love these strong woman who stand beside their men, not behind!

Annoyed by Paige but decent read

If you read a book in less than 24 hours, you can't give it less than 4 stars regardless to how you may truly feel about it. The story was enough to keep me up till 3 in the morning and get me up early enough the next morning finish it. So it earned the 4 stars!

The story between Paige and Bobby was ok. Paige seriously annoyed the "shit" out of me for lack of a better word. I can understand being driven but come on.....she had a list. Paige's character was well developed as I seem to refer to her as a real person. Yet Paige and Bobby just really didn't do it for me like some of Blue's other characters did.

Bobby lacked Alpha-ness to me. I've read about Alphas in love and Bobby didn't fit the bill. I think for me he lacked a strong alpha name like "Wyatt " or "Noah" to start and it went from there. Just the idea of him being a sexy powerful attorney wasn't enough for me. I needed more. He gave passion and a strong sexual appetite.

Nevertheless I would still recommend me because that's what makes for a good discussion, differences of opinions. Happy Reading !

First time I have read this author. This book was a definite page turner. Bobby is a sexy Alpha male - hot blooded Italian Lawyer - aka Mr. Fabulous. He was thought to be a confirmed batchelor. However, he had his sight on a fellow lawyer, his father called "Princess". Paige is a hot shot AA lawyer, who is sharp and a cutthroat. Paige has not had the best of luck in her realtionships and just found out her lover of 18 months has gotten engaged. What she is talked into doing was over the top. Her escapde at her friend's club finds her in a new situation she never saw coming.

Some people cannot leave well enough alone. Some people are determined to have things their way Read this fast paced book with drool worthy characters and watch how the saga begins. Meet a sexy family of Alpha males and the women in their lives. Find out how these characters are bound together....Pushing forward to part 2...

After I got past the info dump in the first few chapters, I was all in! The way the H/h had their first sexual encounter was something I haven't encountered before, which was a plus. The tension was great. The relationship was exciting and not rushed. The heroine's issue with trust drove me insane, but it was justifiable. I would have liked Bobby to have some kind of flaw. I adored him, but I like my heroes a little screwed up. This book kept me turning pages and I burned through it in one day. Bobby's family was great and although there were too many secondary characters, that didn't take anything from the plot. The ending had me immediately downloading the next book.

Noo the Cliffy's 😭😭

Okay is started reading this entire series backwards. But now that I'm reading it in the right order i'm so glad.

I was a little disappointed and annoyed with how Paige was being towards Bobby. I didn't like that she kept saying over and over that he just wanted her for this and that. And he telling her bluntly on multiple occasions that he love her and wanted her for a long long Time.

What kept going through my mind is that your suppose to be this strong person. Why aren't you being that person everyone is claiming you as. Then the more I think about her situation the more I can see why she acted the way she has. But it doesn't change how annoying it was you constantly read about it.

Now I find her twin sister Pam hilarious. Even though you only catch a glimpse of her here and there. what little you see is so worth it and I hope there's a book for her.

Im also more than curious about Rita. There's a story just waiting to happen with her. And I cannot wait to read.

But most importantly the dang Cliffies are killing me. I noticed in the other 2 books I've read it left off on Cliffies. The two books of those serious being the very last book of the black brothers and the 3 book of the black brothers.

I'm sorry not a fan of cliffies but since I throighly enjoy this series I'll let it pass. I looked forward to the next book.

Paige could not see the forrest for the trees

She was so busy thinking about the pain and hurt from her past relationships that she could not see love staring her in the face. Bobby Mairettie wanted Paige for a long time and when he got the chance he jumped, but it was not the right way or time. Paige figured out who he was at Club Desire and she was livid. Bobby had to find a way to make it up to her. With the help of his parents, he was getting there until an uninvited guest was making the moves on him. Bobby was desperate. He's never reacted to a woman the way he reacted to Paige Kemble. He was ready to battle his best friend Nathaniel Briggs. Nate knew his best friend was heads over heels in love with Paige.

This story was full of drama. And do I dare say I HATE CLIFFHANGERS! Paige was kind of nerve-wracking in this story. She knew she only reacted to Bobby's touch but yet she kept pushing him away instead of talking to him, and learning to trust him. The entire Mairettie family was behind the scenes pulling for them. It's going to be interesting to see how Pam and Nate do with their friendship. And what's up with Julia and Marcus? It's a good thing I have all of the books in the series before I started reading or I would be really upset to wait To read what happens next

Book 1

This is the second book by Blue Saffire I’ve read. I enjoyed the first book so I picked out this one from my Kindle Unlimited account. This is the first book in what appears to be a lengthy series and cross series.

Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this book. (In full transparency I don’t remember the first book I read by Ms. Saffire.) Beyond the grammatical and typographical errors, the storyline was poorly executed. This is the start of a long series, with a lot of characters, but the author doesn’t do a good job of introducing and delineating all of the characters. I also had an issue with the story pacing. About two thirds of the book took place over five days. The book could have been 100 pages shorter, in my opinion. Additionally, the plot is very predictable. Finally, the MFC became irritating toward the end of the book. It felt like she was being unreasonably obtuse and difficult.

Even though I am somewhat interested in the stories of a side characters in this book, I don’t think I could make through another book if it’s written like this. Also, after reading the blurbs and title list, the series is about 10 books long, if you include the crossovers and seems too convoluted. I don’t think Ms. Saffire has the writing strength to carry off a long series based on how this book was written.

This was not what I expected but I enjoyed it any way. I read this series completely out of order before I decided to start from the beginning. I was in love with the Ballers series, The Hush series, The Lost Souls series and my new fav the The Brothers Black series. All those series start AFTER the Legally Bound series so after reading them I decided to go back, back, back to the beginning.

Bobby and Paige were exciting to read and I loved their chemistry. My fav book by Blue Saffire is Book 1 of the Lost Souls Series and I don't think any couple can be that deeply in love and that opinion has not changed but I truly enjoyed this book. Bobby's proposal was everything. I like how Paige made him work for it and I can't wait to read Nate and Pam's book which I'm getting ready to start right now.

Paige's going between being completely confident and strong to unbelievably unsure and shy was oddly weird but sort of endearing. Bobby's going from being a ballbusting Alpha to a on his knees Lover was sweet and little empowering. I enjoyed that.

If I had of gotten to know Paige in this book before reading Trevor's story I'd of said fuck her. She was such a whiny spineless little bitch I have no idea what the fuck Bobby saw in her. Shit you should of gave this fucking brat to Nathan, she spent enough time with him. She was practically on his dick the whole vacation anyway. Paige didn't act like a grown, smart, sophisticated woman. She acted like she barely had two brain cells to rub together. I hate a main fc who unnecessarily makes things hard for themselves for no reason even when the main mc showing how much he wants her and only her. I actually like Paige tenacity in Trevor story so to read her bitchy ass here is such a fucking disappointment. If I'd of read this first before the others I'd of never finished this lengthy series. Paige and Bobby did more fucking in this book than actually talking. For Paige to claim she knew when all the Mairettie men were lying I don't see how she couldn't tell that Bobby didn't give a rat's ass about Whitney. Sounds like Whitney raped Bobby while he was drunk and passed out years ago.

Paige wasn't a bad looking woman and she did turn heads of men when she walked by them. With that being said, why did she have such a hard time finding a descent man? She was 32 and her biological baby clock is ticking away fast! She wants a husband and a baby. But, with the creeps she's been dating it looks as though she'll be having that baby without a husband. She's a power attorney for pete's sake and a good one at that! She should not be having this problem!

Bobby works with Paige and has the hots for her. She's beginning to notice him in a way that involves more than being coworkers. Bobby is known to be a playboy. Everyone thinks that's what he wants his life to be is one-night stands. But, it's not what Bobby wants at all. He, too, is noticing her and plans to make her his.

I would give this book a 3.3...I just couldn't connect with the characters and the book was too long!! I struggled through about halfway until the end. - Reviewed by Judy

This book is absolutely ridiculous. It's sad because the writing is more than decent but has no pacing, or sense of reality. Everything that happened was utterly ridiculous, unbelievably perfect just because Bobby loved Paige that much and had money. It tests the suspension of disbelief. The fact they fell in love, got pregnant and married within a matter of month(s)? Was ridiculous, that is the only word I can use to describe this book. I am embarrassed to have read this but I had faith it would be okay and then just plain stubbornness made me plow through the rest. All the characters were only props for the romance, the main characters were idiots blinded by their love for each other to the point it was annoying. They were really written as if one would die without the other but there was no real establishment of that relationship other than good sex? I obviously expected too much for REALISTIC fiction. REALISTIC, people.

2.5 but her later books are much better IMO (my fave are Wyatt and Hush). This story had the bones to be great but the execution wasn’t there. The club scene wasn’t needed. How long were they on vacation? SPOILER ALERT: Long enough to have sex, fall in love, get pregnant, engaged and married. I don’t mind a insta lust but this was all too much. There was very little character development and the Paige spend way too much time the Nathan. Also she was too educated to not realized she was pregnant, Bobby as well.
Blue knows how to write tender moments well, this was just not the book for me.

I really really really wish Blue wrote more standalone novels. I would love it if Blue stopped connecting all her books. It takes away from the current book you reading when she constantly have to weave in other characters and their issues. 2 or 3 connected series is fine. But trying to keep up with everyone is annoying.

This reads like a bad Wattpad story.

The heroine is supposed to be a genius, bold lawyer but she's anything but. She's just a bag of insecurities who runs away in tears for over 50% of the book because she's sensitive to anything and everything and easily embarrassed.

The plot is everything and the kitchen sink. It goes from a BDSM sex club to a family vacation on an island to an evil ex-girlfriend and a pseudo-blackmail scheme to a secret baby to a secret wedding to twins by the epilogue. Mixed in with this is a pseudo-love triangle with the hero's best friend, a subplot with the hero's brother's fiancée running a marriage scheme for money, and another subplot about the hero's best friend's missing sister. And the heroine also has a twin...

I read it out in one day, and though I was very annoyed I didn't DNF so two stars seems about right. Too many editing mistakes, it became distracting. I mean, there are tense changes, POV changes... I don't know what this is.

Where do I begin?! I loved the start of the book and it certainly had all the ingredients for a great dish, but it failed to deliver.

Absolutely loved Bobby and his support network as well as how patient & understanding he was, even to those undeserving, yes, I’m talking about Paige. For a high powered courtroom “Beast”, she was one of the most petulant, insecure and annoying leads I’ve encountered in a while. The constant need for reassurance & bitchiness towards Bobby turned me off entirely and don’t get me started on her running to HIS best friend every 2 seconds, when she knew he wasn’t entirely comfortable with it. I would have thought I was reading about a 19 year old and not a 32 year old.

This book could have benefited from a great editor or 5, due to the ridiculous amount of spelling & grammatical errors. If I had to take a shot for every error identified, I’d be in a coma!

Legally Loved It!

This is my second go round, and I'm not sure I left a review the first w. Blue has done an outstanding job of writing these characters with so much depth, that you feel as though you know them really.
I remember the first time and felt the same way this time, Paige got in my last nerve due to her insecurities. But once I really listened to her I understood where she was coming from. I've always Loved Bobby, he was all of our Dream Guys in one. I know that Paige and her sister come from good family, but that child is not only a hard worker, but one Blessed Woman, to have so many people pulling for her.
As I said I've read this before, so anything I would write would just be a spoiler, but this cliffhanger will lead to another thrilling book.
Happy Reading!

Just finished the Black Brothers series and loved it, so I decided to go back to the beginning. As much as I like Saffire’s books, I can’t stand Paige. Listen, the broken black woman who acts like a child, has poor communications skills, and jumps to every conclusion w/o stopping and thinking or listening is the most tired stereotype. Paige was too broken for me to a. Believe she deserved a HEA or b. Believe a HEA could happen in one book. She didn’t need a loving patient man, she needed a therapist and a healing journey with herself! I really do like Blue’s writing style and storylines, along with most of her characters but I’m sick of reading books where black women perpetuate the same broken stereotypes that black women have been fed or have been viewed as forever! Literally had to skim through the pages whenever Paige’s pov came up.

Skip this one. It’s awful. Start with the next one.

This story had so much potential. The detail description gave you the impression that Paige really was Black Girl Magic. In fact she’s Black Girl mess.

This story has zero character development and Paige is so annoying and immature. Then there’s Nathan, Bobby’ best friend was not necessary nor the other chick that was thrown into the story.

I only made it to half the book before I had to stop. No way I was going to waste anymore of my time on this story.

Thank goodness I didn’t have to pay for this book. I would have demanded a refund. LOL

On to Book 2. Crossing my fingers that’s it’s better.

Don’t bother with this one. Or just read up until they go on holiday and stop.

Blue Saffire does it again…

Blue Saffire is becoming one of the authors whose work I cannot put down without an internal fight because I get so engrossed in the stories. This is a great coworkers/friends to lovers story which will leave your jaw dropping at the end.

There was great character development in the FMC and MMC. I had parts in the story where I wanted to scream at Paige (FMC) and remind her to stand tf up and be the baddie attorney that she is and regulate certain situations! (Won’t spoil the reason why).

My takeaway on a personal level for this story is “Don’t allow yesterday’s fears to stop you from the chance of a better future.” Sometimes, a risk can turn into one of life’s greatest blessings.
