From the author of Across the Miles, comes the sequel to the love story of Sebastian and Brooke. Go back to the days after Brooke left for London, and find out what happened to place Sebastian in that hotel room with nothing but memories and a bottle of whiskey. What happens to America's favorite rock star when his picture perfect life falls apart? Again… Sebastian and Brooke had a fairy tale romance, until one choice tore them apart. Brooke's decision to move away and run Max Wolf's struggling restaurant, Lardon's, stands in the way of Sebastian's plan to propose on the night of his birthday. They have a fight and he takes off, leaving her to board a plane to London without saying goodbye. While there, she meets Reid, a handsome chef who just happens to live in the same building she now calls home. Their newfound friendship, and Reid's attraction to her, only adds to the strain on her already fragile relationship with Sebastian. Then, one out of control night changes everything as they know it, and their relationship is put to the test. Now, do they fight for what they love? Or choose to walk away? Will facing your demons destroy you? Or make you stronger? Surely, a love that was meant to be can face any obstacle. A force too strong to ignore... A need so deep it aches... Undying love... A heart may be broken, but it keeps on beating. AND NEVER GIVES UP.

This is the continuing story of Brooke and Sebastian, the long distance lovers from opposite worlds.
This story, unlike the first, is more about the real challenges that they have in their relationship. Sort of like the bitch-slap reality check.
And boy, Rhonda sure did deliver.
I was pretty much like this the entire book:
There were a multitude of things that happened that could have totally changed the direction of their story. Hell, many things DID change the direction of their story.
I saw Brooke very differently in this one than the first.
It's not a bad thing, but different.
Brooke is way more hot and cold this time around. She's good, she's not, she's up, she's down. Again, I don't think that's a bad thing, because realistically, we are not always well mannered and always calm and understanding. Yeah, that's just not reality.
So, I basically alternated with Brooke the entire book from screaming and wanting to throw my Kindle across the room to jumping up and down like "Yes bitch! Finally! Geez!"
The only thing about this hot/cold Brooke that bothered me was
Sebastian, however, just warms my heart. :) Can I just say that he has got to be the sweetest hero alive? Gah I just love him!
*Swoon*
Overall, this was a great follow up to Across the Miles.
Easily 5/5 stars!
Can't wait to read the third book and get more into the mind of Dek and Jade!!! :)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Brooke has had a lot of time to think of the decision she made when she chose her career over her love for Sebastian. Can he forgive her and try to move forward with her. Can the miles that separate them yet again prove to be the last straw? Sebastian is on tour and the media is hounding him. Brooke is in London in her dream job, loving him more and more each day. Her job however keeps her from him on more than one occasion and not willing to give it up may be the thing that ends this beautiful romance once and for all. Okay so wanting to kick some butt again at these two that keep getting themselves into the worse situations with out needing to. I mean they love each other but are to stubborn to give in to what they have found. I loved this book, it gave me the closure I was looking for and so much more. These two were killing me, but Rhonda gave me answers that I needed and so much more. I mean Dek and Jade were more than I was bargaining for in this book but I got it and it filled my heart. An excellent read and a romantic story of endurance. Sebastian and Brooke will steal you heart!
I read this book through Kindle Unlimited. This is book two in the series and is written in duel pov's. This book shows tremendous growth from the beginning to the end for the writer. The characters are slowly developed unlike in the first book. There are a couple of little inconsistencies in the book but not enough to take away from the story line.
This book pretty much picks up where Across The Miles ended. Brooke left for London leaving Sebastian behind to follow her career dreams. Sebastian was devastated but was set to go on tour with his band. After about two weeks Brooke contacts him telling him it was the biggest mistake of her life to leave him, to put her job before him and they reconcile. With them being apart their insecurities set in and it doesn't take long for misunderstandings to come between them again. He finds her in a compromising situation then leaves after she tells him they are over, that she can't do it anymore. She is also distraught over seeing her father for the first time in 13 years.
After she has her melt down she leaves London to go see Jade in Michigan. During this time Sebastian leaves her alone to give her space. He feels he has given her everything, put her first and all he has left is his pride and knows she needs to come back to him on her own. She spends about a month in Michigan coming to terms with her past. The loss of Devon, the breakup and reconciliation of her parents, their abandonment of her through her teenage years. After coming to terms with everything she sees a picture of Sebastian kissing another women and realizes she will fight for her man because she knows he loves her and not everything is as it seems.
Brooke goes back to London and quits her job. She then goes to Sebastian's London hotel where he is back making up a concert that was cancelled and reconciles with him. They realize that although they have been together for almost a year most of that has been spent apart and they vow to put each other first. Sebastian proposes and they go back to LA together to plan their wedding. The book ends on their wedding where Brooke is put to the test to trust him due to an emergency. He proves that he will always choose her. There is a nice epilogue and they get their HEA.
Another scorching 5 stars for Miles Apart the 2nd book in “The Not So Bad Boys of Rock”.
Hot Rocker Romance, Ugly cry, Emotional Rollercoaster
When I walked out that door I was aware that it may be the last time I set foot in that house, yet I still left.
Wow, this book sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions.
Miles Apart is the continuation of Brooke and Sebastians story. It picks up right where Across the Miles ends.
Brooke is leaving for London to work at a restaurant for 9 months and Sebastian is going on tour with the band. While in London, Brooke meets Reid a neighbor and a chef at a restaurant near hers. Sebastian learns of Reid in a way that is heart wrenching. Sebastian also has instances where pictures of him with women come out in the media. He also develops a close friendship with Rachel and her daughter Savannah.
Even though Brooke and Sebastian agree that they trust each other they both struggle with distance, bad choices and jealousy.
Brooke finds something out about Rachel that makes her feel very threatened in her relationship with Sebastian. She has an instant fear of losing him.
These two are both so stubborn and strong minded that at times you want to smack them up and put them in a room together to work it out. Just when you think things are finally working out something else happens that sends them spiraling. You will definitely do the ugly cry a few times reading Miles Apart.
“You will always be my first choice. But I made a promise to be there for them if they ever needed me, and right now they need me more than ever.”
Rhonda, you made my heart stop towards the end. This was well written and I loved all of the family and friends that were included, they all add a piece to this great read. I absolutely love this series and I am definitely looking forward to Dek and Jade’s book.

This book opens three months prior to the cliffhanger from book one, Across the Miles. Brooke has left to go to London to further her career, leaving Sebastian. Sebastian is getting ready to go on tour with his band in Europe. The story continues with a lot of swinging back and forth. On again and off again for both our hero and heroine. Everything is thrown into this story. There are two triangles proposed. Reid, Brooke’s next door neighbor, has feelings for Brooke, which she supposedly does not return. Then there is Rachel, Savannah’s mom. Savannah is a six year old girl that is a huge fan of Sebastian’s. He is just friends with Rachel, but leaves his wedding rehearsal to go sit with her when Savannah is in the hospital. There is also angst thrown in with Brooke’s parents. Her mom who has been selfish and career oriented her whole life and her dad who abandoned her when she was eleven. Well, her mom has up and sold her business to focus on her family. She remarried her Brooke’s dad without either of them telling her. This is just a little over the top for me. Brooke spends the whole book fearful she has become her mother and selfish. In my opinion, she has. She accepts a job in London for nine months without even discussing it with Sebastian and doesn’t tell him. He finds out when Brooke’s ticket is messengered to the house. In my opinion, Sebastian has a right to be upset. I loved Sebastian in the book. Brooke was a little immature for my taste. This is the final book. There is no cliffhanger and they finally get their HEA. There really was just a little too much angst thrown into the book just as filler.
ok this is the second book, and it picks up right where the last one left off if you haven't read the first book yet, stop reading this and go read the first one this review will have spoilers for the first book. So now that is just us on book two. Let me start of by saying this was not as sweet as the first book. I figured that everything would be good now that Sebastian and Brook moved in together and declared there love. No NO No that just wouldn't work Sebastian has to go on tour thinking Brook will be at home working at her new job. It's only a couple of months right. No big deal after the miles they survived before, and made it. Well that plan goes down the flusher when Brook is offered a job out of the country. Then Brook not being able to find a way to tell Sebastian ends up in a fight with him when he finds out and not by her. Will this be the end for there relationship? After surviving Across the miles will there relationship be strong enough to make it through being miles apart?
This one was a roller coaster of ups and downs that blew me away. I have truly fell in love with these two. I wanted to knock some sense into Brook alot while reading this one. And Sebastian after all the fighting he did to keep Brook kind of let me down not going the extra mile. At the end things seemed to work out for everyone though making this a really good story about not giving up when things get worse.
Miles Apart continues after Brooke’s stunning decision to take a restaurant job in London… without telling Sebastian. Good plot twist, Rhonda James!
By Book 2, James has amassed an impressive cast of characters, who in some cases (Brooke’s parents) really surprised me. I’d love to read more backstory and sub-plot revolving around some of these minor characters like Jade, Dek, Chris, Travis, Nat, and Sebastian’s parents.
New characters Reid and Rachel complicate things! These are well-placed characters who get caught up in Sebastian and Brooke’s rocky relationship at all of the wrong (I mean right!) times. When Sebastian and Reid meet face-to-face, it gets explosive, and there’s a major surprise involving Rachel at the very end of the book.
I loved the metaphor of the table in Chapter 15 and the way this physical object represents Brooke and Sebastian’s relationship. While separated, they struggle to figure out what stability means. We get to see some new places the characters turn to for stability, besides each other and their careers: for Sebastian, it’s an extreme hobby, and for Brooke, it’s her parents.
Book 2 has more depth and dimension for the main characters, plus the satisfaction of knowing how their story turns out!
Emotional & Addictive 4.6 Stars “Miles Apart” is the second book in the Not So Bad Boys of Rock series. The love story between Sebastian and Brooke is getting more complicated by the minute. It’s evident that they are both crazy about each other; but sometimes that’s just not enough to hold a relationship together. They often argue and are hardly ever on the same page when it comes to making life decisions. Each has made bad choices during their time together, but they are both too stubborn to admit it. As time passes, Brooke becomes even more self absorbed. Sebastian is at his breaking point. He loves her with all his heart but soon realizes he’s going to have to let her go. Will Brooke come to her senses before he learns how to live without her? I am totally addicted to so many of the characters in this well written story. I felt like I was sitting on pins and needles the entire time I was reading this book. Kudos’s to you Rhonda James….I love this series. So after reading the first book in the series, I couldn't wait to see what happened with Brooke and Sebastian. I loved this book just as much as the first. Sebastian and Brooke had many ups and downs. Most of the time I was debating whether they would even end up together or how their relationship would turn out? I loved this story because it was not a true fairy tale. Their were parts that were not so romantic and parts that left me screaming at the screen. I liked it because it was what you go through in real life. I thought at times Sebastian was very whiny, annoying, and jealous, but we all go through that in relationships. I loved the ending with this book. I will not spoil it, but it was pretty great. Overall I think it was a fantastic love story and didn't want it to end. I'm a huge fan of Brooke and Sebastian. I Can't wait to see if their will be a third book in this series. This was reviewed for HeadTripping Books by Leandra Bright.
Another tearjerking emotional roller coaster from Rhonda James!!
This is a continuation of Brooke and Sebastian's story and it picks up right where Across the Miles ended.
And let me tell you this one is a doozie. holy crap i haven't felt this much emotion from a book in a long time. Brooke accepts a job in London while Sebastian is getting ready to go on tour. While they both claim to trust one another and think they can handle all the distance life may have other plans for them. Some characters come in to play that are really going to test their trust and loyalties to one another.
These characters had me wanting to smack them silly at times because of the way they were both acting.
SOOO ready for Dek's story as well as anything else Rhonda has to write. Her writing just draws you in and does not let you go. I know these characters will be with me for a while to come!! Fabulous read!!
OK, this was just dumb. I mean, it ended up fine and I don't want to be the spoiler reviewer, but seriously????
STOP READING HERE IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS
Her parents are back together...REALLY?!?!? Really Rhonda? The parents who abandoned her suddenly get back together, haven't spoken to her, haven't tried to reach out to her, but run into her in London...REALLY?!?!?
Sebastian runs away the night before their wedding to another woman without inviting his soon to be wife, and just let's her fall asleep in his arms after they just got back together. REALLY?!?!? SERIOUSLY?!?!?
The guy that has been hitting on her and almost ruined her relationship will take her place at an amazing restaurant without even so much as a hint to his ability when she went through how many interviews because she wants him to. REALLY?!?!?
I just...can't. It was dumb. I like this author and she has potential, but she has to stop writing as if her readers are complete morons.
Part 2 continues with Sebastian and Brooke, still miscommunicating. Trust isn’t coming easy to this relationship. You’ve come to love and hate the mistrust they have for circumstances that they are in. You want them to hurry up and work things out. Will Brooke be able to get past what happened when her dad walked out and her mom became a workaholic? Will Sebastian still be there if she works out her issues?
Find out when you read part 2 of the series.
Who would think that the Bad Boys of Rock would have such a sensitive soul!!
I. Love. This. Series.
Working on relationships is never easy, have a tissue box ready when you read this series..

Oh my days! Rhonda had done it again! This is the second book in the story of Sebastian and Brooke and it took me on a true rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish. There were times I felt frustrated with Brooke and on more than one occasion, if I could of, I would of given her a shake! Sebastian on the other hand, I wanted to hug, although near the end, I could of quite happily shook him too! Rhonda has truly taken me on an emotional journey, but in a totally good way, she makes you feel exactly what the characters feel.......and that is truly priceless.
I have to say this was a very good way to end this series.
Brooke and Sebastian are meant to be together. The sacrifices and destroying circumstances that lead to their long journey are heartbreaking at times. When 2 people love each other nothing should ever come between them. I enjoyed the journey that Brooke and Sebastian embarked on to get back together, it was priceless.
I was so happy for the ending of this book!! I can't tell you how many times I just wanted to bang Brooke's and Sebastian's heads together for being dummy's. Yet another amazing book by Rhonda
This was an amazing story! This author has the ability to place you in the book like your right there feeling the characters emotions and a part of their pain. I loved Sebastian and Brooke!!
This is book two and the continue of Sebastian and Brooke's story. This book had me yelling at it, crying with it and wanting more. There were many twist and turns, I fell in love with them in book one and could not believe where this story went. Again another exceptional book it's is not filled with sex scenes, however you will still be hooked.
I am looking forward to reading more from Rhonda James and I hope we see more books in this series. There are more stories to be told. I am a true fan of hers.
This was even worse than the last one, I should have DNFd it, you knew they would end up together but they were both so immature I don’t think they should have. This was the most egregious use of the miscommunication trope used poorly over and over and over again that I have ever experienced I wanted to rip my hair out. Her relationship with her parents would not have healed that quick, and honestly I don’t think it should have until they made a very concerted effort to make amends for their mistakes. This was just so bad.
Good book but have tissues ready! This book is a roller coaster of emotions. Not sure what I would do in Sebastian's shoes or Brooke's shoes. You are expecting to have them living together, married right away and living happily ever after. Well... life decides to throw some curve balls and challenge them. The question is can they survive everything being thrown at them.
Those winding bumpy roads they had to go down to get back to one another were well worth it. Wonderfully well written and very loveable characters make this a duet you need to read. Thanks Rhonda!!
Part 2 of Sebastian and Brooke's story ( Book 1 Across the Miles) The love story continues as Sebastian and Brooke battle distance and trust issues. Will love be enough to overcome outside pressures? Will they stay together or be torn apart? A
This is part 2 of Across the Miles You really should read that first to know where all this pain is coming from!
Sabastian and Brooke are 1000 miles apart. Will they be able to find their way back to each other? They have both made so many mistakes. Can they withstand the test of time and distance?
Is love alone enough?
I know this review has a ton of questions. However, this story has taken me on an emotional roller coaster! You have to keep going even though you are scared of the outcome.
Pride is such a scary thing! It can keep you from the thing you really want. Too make matters worse...having two prideful people.
"I felt that it was only right that we should make our promise of forever in the exact same location."
Wow, this book has had me laughing, crying, shouting at the kindle, every emotion you can think of you can feel coming from the pages of this book. I love the characters in this book. While I was reading the story in the book I felt as though I was there watching it play out before my eyes. You don't just feel the emotions of the two main characters, but you feel them from the people that are around them. This book takes you on one hell of a ride, but trust me it is worth it. I am so happy that Rhonda James books were recommended to me. She is a fantastic author.
I was excited to continue to follow Sebastian and Brooke as their lives headed in different directions, and at times I feared that the all-too-real moments of a long-distance love would seal their fate before they truly had a chance to start a life together. Will they be able to create a wonderful melody together, or will the music fade long before the final note is played? To find out, be sure to get your copy of "Miles Apart" by Rhonda L.
