4.5 stars!

I read 250+ books a year and most of those are urban fantasy or romance and honestly after about 150 books so far this year, I have been getting to the stage where I am saying to myself - "This is boring, I need to get myself another hobby".

I read series I love but the bulk of my reading is from trying new ebooks in the search for new favourites. This year I have discovered precious few that I would rush out and buy the next of, maybe 10 or less so far but this series will be an autobuy for sure.

It is a perfect hot paranormal romance and very compelling. I read it till 4a.m one weekend day and night. The world building is fantastic, pace perfect and characterisations are good. It is emotional and evocative and strongly erotic. Kresley Cole (world building and sexiness) and Kelley Armstrong (pacing, characterisation and emotional depth) are the comparators that spring to mind. If you enjoy a good erotic paranormal romance a little on the dark side, I very much recommend it!

Enticing read!

I've read this book multiple times now and it never disappoints. The detail and allure that she writes into every situation is incredible and you can't set the book down until it's done!

Spoilers but not really?

I LOVE this book so much, I've lost count on how many times I've read it. I come back to it every few months, since this is truly my most favorite romance novel. Maribel is a very sweet girl who loves to bake and is getting ready to head off to college. She's had a crush on this very strong Vampire, Cairo, who she had first kissed when she was 16. This was the only detail of the book I felt uneased by, since she was just a minor and he was this extremely old (centuries old) vampire. But, it was just a kiss, and not a huge deal (for a book). At 18 or maybe 19? she summons him so that she could see him again, and they being a sexual relationship. There was a lot of love on both parts, but he is very much convinced he is not meant to be with anyone. Still, they continue seeing each other and of course, they end up falling in love.
Her best friend Dana came off a bit annoying, but she is a strong and lovely character and this book also goes into her love story with Lawrence. There's also an element of danger as there's a serial killer on the loose. I love all of the characters, I felt happiness, pain, sorrow, and love from these characters. The climax of this story was so intense, and but so fantastic. The character development was greatest in Dana and Cairo. While Maribel is more of a "flat" character, she did mature more throughout the story. It was thoroughly written and I actually feel sad when I am close to the finish of the novel, because there are times I wish characters are real, and their love is real, and that I could keep following up on that love. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, SORAYA CAGE, thank you for writing this book, I think I will read it forever!!

Yes! I've been waiting for this book to be published, and it's finally happened. I suspected that might be the case when it disappeared off my favorites list, and now I permanently own a copy of this great vampire book. As much as I've enjoyed certain aspects of the romantic vampire craze of late, I missed the dangerous edge of their natures. This vampire has fangs!

This has been put in the erotic paranormal category, and it certainly is that. It has the hottest deflowering scene that I've ever read. Yet there is so much more to this story. It is incredibly well-written with intense characters and emotions. This book deserves to become as popular as that famous teen vampire romance, but this one is definitely for adults.

Excellent new vision & believable for paranormal fiction...

I don't do you fluffy romances although I do like fictitious stories with dogs and werewolves, but this writer's style is right up my alley as she writes like she's actually living this incredible tale filled with vampires, witches, and a whole a lot of sexual tension that leads to romance and is a very good thing if that's what you like! Serious Sizzle!!! Though not for young adults at all...

I have been following Soraya since she posted the first chapters of Maribel and Cairo's story. These characters stayed with me long after i finished the book. Their story ripped my heart out of my chest, tore it to pieces and then put it back together again. I laughed , I cried , shook my fist in frustration and could not wait to do it all again with the second in the series.

So I read this book again. It's really obviously not suited for everyone bc of the sexual scenes. Overall, I love this book and see myself reading it again.
