Her first book, RESTORING LOVE, was published in 1982 by Dell Candlelight Ecstasy under the pseudonym of Suzanne Sherrill. Her second book, SAND CASTLES, under the pseudonym of Alexandra Kirk, was published later that same year by Bantam. She began using her own name when she moved to the Second Chance at Love line at Berkley Publishing. In 1986, she began writing full-time and also began her long career at Silhouette Books with the Desire title NOT AT EIGHT, DARLING, set in the world of television which she covered for so many years.
In addition to her more than 75 romances for Silhouette Desire and Special Edition, she has written thirteen mysteries — nine in the Amanda Roberts series and four in the Molly DeWitt series.
When she's not writing or reading, Sherryl loves to garden, though she's not at her best on a riding lawn mower. She also loves tennis, theater, and ballet, even though her top spin has long since vanished, she's never set foot on a stage, and she's way too uncoordinated to dance. She also loves baseball and claims anyone who's ever seen Kevin Costner in "Bull Durham" can understand why.

Another Adams son wants to bite the dust, meaning Jordan Adams is tired of the gold-digging women he's been playing with. When his latest fiance marries someone else and lets him know by phone, he goes back to his long-time friend and pal, Kelly Flint, who's doing her best to bring her family's ranch back to profitability. She's intent on raising her 5-year-old daughter even without her ex-husband, who never wanted children and is AWOL where the little girl is concerned.
Jordan isn't sure he knows much about children, but he soon realizes that Dani has captured his heart even as he decides he should marry Kelly. It would be a lot easier than trying to romance a woman who only wants his checkbook. Too bad Kelly wants love to be part of the picture, something Jordan can't quite say. He's not even sure he feels it, or does he? Furthermore, he has difficulty compromising and Kelly won't have things any other way. How's this going to work out? Maybe Jordan's administrative assistant can help.

Jordan Adams was in the oil business and was looked on as one of the best in the business with his mindset totally on business. After his brother, Luke got married, he decided it was time for him to settle down. With this in mind, he decided what kind of person he wanted to marry and went after her. He had decided that Rexanne Marshall fit his idea of his perfect bride. She fit into the social set he did and knew how to be a business man’s wife. However, he miscalculated and she ended up marrying someone else; but she still wanted to have him invest in her fledgling business. Jordan was interrupted with his thoughts after Rexanne’s phone call by a phone call from Kelly flint. He had grown up with Kelly and knew she was a down-to-earth girl and that she would never betray him for any reason. She was cute and single. She was his best friend and she listened when he needed someone to talk to. Why didn’t he marry her? He could decide on a plan, go visit her this weekend, put his plan into motion and marry her by the end of the summer. He wouldn’t even have to change the plans he had made to marry Rexanne. That decided, he headed for home.

Kelly, who had always admired and loved Jordan, while hearing his romantic escapades and woes, was perturbed that his proposal sounded like a business contract and not one based on love for her. Jordan persevered and Kelly's objections weakened as they got married in her homestead, she was renovating as she ' found' herself. HEA for them both, precocious Dani, and her kittens all settled down to a life of compromises with a new baby on the way. Dated male/ female roles reversed, and honest communication was the bedrock of their relationship. A Fair Read!

Wonderful story!
I am in my 3rd series by Sherry Woods. I just can't seem to put the book down.

Well Jordan is a slow learner but he eventually manages to get it right as he pursues his life long friend Kelly and tries to get her to marry him.....a good business deal or could it just be love.

I liked this book so much I had to buy the next one. I guess I'm hooked! It was a fun story. The little girl is a hoot. You can't help but admire her approach to finding homes for her kittens.

Jordan thinks it's time that they both settle down and feels they are perfectly compatible. Being a businessman Jordan goes at the proposal from a business angle. Kelly is not so sure about this proposal. She wants more than a business arrangement. She wants a real marriage.
