People lie. Love is meant for fairy tales, not real life. My heart was crushed by a man who promised me everything and then took it all away. He proved to me that you never really know someone. But this man makes me want to throw caution to the wind. I don’t want love, but I do want Mason Brooks.

Love is a fantasy. Something that people convince themselves is real, but it isn’t. I was taught at a very young age that love is toxic. Since then I have learned to need no one. Only my small group of friends is given my loyalty. I have no use for love. Even though I know she's dangerous, she makes me wonder what her touch would feel like. Lacey Hunt is toxic to me.

When two people are irreparably broken can they rise from the ashes?

Can love exist in two black hearts?

This was a heart-breaking story. This is the tale of Mason and Lacey. Lacey has had a bad marriage and she is now divorced. Her dream was to create a family and have children but her husband betrayed her in the wrost way possible.
Now, she is on her own while trying to make something out of her life. Then there is Mason; quiet and brooding Mason. She likes him but his attitude...not so much. When lust and attraction brings them together, Lacey will have to make a huge, life-altering decision. When her health is threatened, she will have to choose between herself and her dreams. Will her strength be enough to keep her alive?
I liked the premise of the story. Mason was deliciously dark and silent. Lacey was full of life but she made reckless decisions, in my opinion. There is sensitive subject matter here and I think I would have loved it if it was expanded a bit more. The book was too quick for such a theme, but it was nicely written and entertaining all the same. It was an emotional ride that left you with a bittersweet taste.
If you are looking for something unique and dramatic, then this is for you.

Ok. First off. This:
"I will cooch kick you so hard I'll break your clit."
YES. I am stealing this for future use.
This is GOLD.

The other piece of gold is Mason. I just knew that the moody boy of the group would rip my heart out. They always do!
Mason has never experienced love. He was afraid to let anyone in. He kept his heart guarded as well as his deep scars, both emotionally and physically.

"Because you can't hide scars in the light. The darkness is my protection. It shields me."

It was not until he saw an angel on Earth...Lacey.
He had never had these feelings before, so he pushed her as far away as he could by ignoring her all together.

One night changed everything.
One decision will change everything.
"You aren't a hideous monster you're a beautiful disaster."
They could not deny each other any longer. Lacey proved just how much she loved him not caring about his past. Slowly Mason realizes he cannot deny what this woman means to him.

I was NOT totally prepared for this story. Mason did in fact rip my heart out. I swear it fell out and I saw it beating on the floor as I snot bubble cried while reading the epilogue.

Saving Her
Alexis Noelle

Holy Hell if Alexis doesn’t stop with these books I may need counseling. This is a love story people. And yes unlike me .. I LOVED IT. Saving Her is a very quick read. The two lead characters are so well written you will feel as if you have known them for years. That’s what I loved. I did wish that I knew more of Mason Brooks because dang it I want to know what happens now …. The last page wasn’t enough. Cant I get another round please Alexis? I also want to know why Lacey said what she did to Jake.
On to Saving Her and WHY you will have the same plea I have by the last page. Lacey’s douche bag ex and I mean douche bag has been gone from her for four years now. Its her birthday and she plans on going out and having a good time except she knows HE will be there .. that he is the sexiest most horrible man alive in Lacey’s opinion … Mason Brooks.

Mason is brooding, silent and doesn’t give Lacey the time of day. However unknown to anyone he watches her. Lacey thinks he watches her but every time she catches his eye he looks away. After receiving some news the morning of her birthday Lacey decides to throw everything all in while out with her friends. She will dance the night away in her alcohol induced haze while enjoying the company of her protective circle of friends. Delighted that some hawt guy has joined her on the dance floor she is feeling free grinding to the music until a large hand wraps around her telling her enough. Lacey taunts Mason after he brings her home making fun of him and his caveman ways. Allowing her to finish Mason vows to “tear her apart” in the best way possible …. UH HUH. YUP!

The story moves along from here. What I have found is there are standalone books prior to this one that I have not been privy to so of course I will be clicking those up. You have Jules and Brian, Ryan, Jake, Hunter and Sam all mentioned in this book; some playing bigger roles than others.

This book is an emotional wreck of sorrow and goodness all wrapped up for you. This is a standalone. All of these books are FREE on Kindle Unlimited!

Protecting Her – Sam and Hunters story
Keeping Her – Brian and Julia’s story

I have no words other than to say that this book literally broke my heart into a million pieces. Sad books always make me cry and this one definitely made me cry, literally.

A woman who fell in love with a man who couldn't give her what she wanted. He was broken and damaged who didn't know how to love nor did he want to know how. She was willing to help Mason and conquer his heart.

I loved Lacey, she had been hurt by her douche of an ex-husband. Who not only cheated on her, but mistreated her as well. She didn't deserve the treatment he gave her but she was strong and she moved on with her life and was able to rebuild it again with confidence. She only needed her friends in her life until Mason Brooks came into the picture.

Mason seemed to have an attraction to Lacey but all he wanted from her was to have sex because he couldn't give her what she wanted. Lacey took whatever he gave her and was willing to accept just that, until she realized that she wanted much more and she knew he was unable to provide her with it. But for some reason she was able to break him down little by little by asking him a question a day, that's all he would allow and he didn't guarantee an answer either. But he was falling for her little by little, he was just scared to admit it.

Lacey had so much to lose, yet she didn't care she was willing to risk everything in order to have what she's always craved and wanted.

I just have to say that this book really touched me. The things people will sacrifice in order to get what they've always wanted and to have to sit and wonder what will happen next. I can't tell you what all happened in the book because I'd be giving it away, I just want everyone to know that this book was very sad and it touches your heart when you read it. If it put tears in my eyes, I'm sure it will put them in yours too.

4.5 star read for this emotional read

Review from Abibliophobia Anonymous Book Reviews

Man, I don’t even know how to start this review. At the beginning, until about half way, I felt it was too rushed. I wanted more. It felt like something was missing. But that ending, absolutely gutted me. I hugged my daughter, while I was crying and she just laughed at me because a book made me cry again.

There were parts of the timeline that felt off to me. The major one is that Lacey and Mason had sex on her birthday, then a couple days later she finds out she’s pregnant.

I would have made the same decision that Lacey made. I can understand why she kept her other secret.

Mason changed so much in this short book. At first, I had no hope for him. But he surprised me.

“If you lived life the way I had you would understand. Love is toxic. It’s twisted. It’s evil. It leads to pain, humiliation, and everlasting scars. It is a tool of the devil masked with angel wings.”

But he finds his Saving Grace.

Crikey I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face after reading this. Talk about expect the unexpected. I certainly didn't expect to be an emotional mess that I am now.

I'm not gonna say anything about the storyline as I don't wanna spoil it. I loved the two main characters.

My one complaint was this was too short for me. While reading this I felt the author could have made this into a longer story. Masons past could have added lots more chapters(maybe that's my warped dark mind thinking lol)

Although I felt it was rushed I can't honestly give this less than five stars for the feelings running through me now. I read lots and rarely does a book make me cry. This book had me sobbing. I must add there were some epic laugh out loud snorting moments in this story too. I really need to read more of this authors books.

Oh good lord this book kind of blew me away! I have loved the others in this series but this one left those behind in its dust. Read it in one sitting, had no choice, couldn't put it down.

Lacey was a bit in the back ground of the other books. Damn this girl had a story to break your heart. Nothing like being able rise above the sh#t storm fate throws at you.
Mason this man was too much. Played at being the perfect ass#hole. Treated her like total crap and she kept letting him but slowly started breaking down his walls. Little by little she wormed her way in and when he spilled his story I had a total WTF is wrong with people moment. He has one hell of a messed up back story.
But Alexis broke me with an ending I didn't see coming. I love an emotional book and this one hit me hard, I was a blubbering mess. Loved every word!

This is not your natural HEA but it is one on every level. This book has Life, Joy, Tears, Laughter, Crazy Men and even Crazier Women. Once you start it you won’t put it down! This is one of them books where it helps you remember to never take life for granted. In this crazy thing, we call life we always take things for granted but after reading this amazing story by Alexis Noelle you will not take the little thing for granted. I woke my kids up at half hour till midnight; kissed and hugged them then told them I love them more than that world. This is my second story by Alexis Noelle but this one has made its way easily into my top ten!

Mason Brooks is an alpha jack a** and he knows it. He’s one of them you will love and hate all at the same time. Lacey Hunt will have you loving her and laughing from the first page. She has more heart than anyone could imagine. You will be asking yourself many things by then end of this story but I have a few that everyone should be asking.

Why does Lacey want Mason so bad? The same could be asked for Mason. Why can’t either get the other out of their system? Can Mason get over his past? Can he let Lacey in? Will Lacey ever share her secrets? Will they make Mason run from her?

~4.5 Hearts

One thing I have noticed on all the books that I have read by Alexis Noelle so far is that she does not beat around the bush. Within the first chapter she already has gutted the readers in the stomach. With that said…this was another enjoyable book read within one sitting but this time around it takes you on such an emotional roller coaster ride that will make the experience have you pulling you in all sorts of directions.

Lacey Hunt and Mason Brooks does not believe in being loved, falling in love, and the like. They both feel that it is not a path that is in the works for them due to their past life and when you read about their background story you can understand why.

After many intense looks and attitudes they stumble onto having one random night that changes their relationship with one another. Two people who have been broken by love were able to come to an agreement on the vibes they feel towards one another…to be just physical and on the down low from everyone and nothing more.

When I finished the 4.5 stars reads I had to take a moment and think about all that had just transpired in Lacey and Mason’s story. It entailed a man and woman engaging in a one-night stand with one another but as the story progressed it was much more impassioned than expected. It had me torn (and teary eyed) on some of the choices they made and chose to live by. It had a little bit of everything that will get your heart beating in so many ways all at once making this a must pick up this recommend all-consuming read in my eyes. ;)

~4.5 Hearts

Oh my goodness. I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting this from this book. I am all torn up. I'm crying tears of joy and sorrow. It's for celebrating life. I seriously cannot tell you enough without giving anything away and spoiling the goodness of it. It's too bittersweet. But if you want a book you could devour in one sitting and is filled with emotions, you have got to read this one. It is such a quick and fast paced read—it dives right into the story, and is packed with so much emotion—happiness, pain, longing, sadness, anything I can think of under the sun right now. It just has this way of squeezing your heart.

Lacey Hunt and Mason Brooks's story just sucked me in. I couldn't stop reading. Both of them have issues they have to deal with and in all honesty, they way things went, how each of them reacted with the situations they had to face and deal with, for some reason I was expecting them to do the complete opposite. And that surprised me, even just a little bit. Both of them are broken, in their own special way. Lacey is such a strong, vibrant woman, but she's hiding a huge secret that will change the course of everything, especially her life. It's just life-changing that I utterly understand why she chose to keep it to herself instead of telling it outright to her friends and family. Did I mention that she was also left and betrayed by her ex-husband in the shittiest and worst way every? He is a total douche. Lacey is one of the most selfless heroines I've met. She was left to face and make a decision between her own wellbeing and a dream she's had for so long. I was so torn up for her, but still in awe of her. Mason, on the other hand, is this silent, brooding man who had a tortured, pain-filled past. That was seriously heartbreaking. The day he gave in to finally opening up and sharing this part of him to Lacey, my heart wept for him. He was so tainted by his past that he shut down and tried his damn best to push everybody away. Until he saw and met Lacey—his angel. Lacey has always had the hots for Mason, but he has this asshole attitude that makes everybody hate him. So, will Lacey's love be enough to break through his walls and help him see what he's really capable of in this life?

I'm not sure if everybody will agree with me, and I know we all have different tastes and preferences when it comes to reading, but I just really loved and enjoyed this one. It could've been longer, more elaborated on some parts, but it worked. Everything that happened got to me and touched me in ways I didn't expect it to.

If you are looking for a HEA you won’t find it here what you will find is normal people trying to work through lives issue. The author gives you characters you can relate to as she takes you on the journey of Mason and Lacey you will smile, cry, laugh and cry some more. The ending will touch you, break your heart but at the same time you will smile as they find new life.

Two people have their own fears and demons reach out to each other to overcome their past and hope for a better future. Neither believes in love for good reason both wanting it, someone to care for, hold and be there on their darkest days. Both are holding cards close to their chest and their secretes run deep. Can Lacey get Mason to open his heart to let her in she knows she must before she reveals what she is keeping from him. The biggest issues will have to wait a few months god she prays it will all turn out ok. Mason just knows she has a pull for him something that keeps him coming back. When he is with her she chases the demons away. He knows he has fallin head over heels for you but is he ready to take that last step or will it be to late.

This is a story I know few people have had to face the choice is never easy and it always leaves some in pain. For a few it worked out for the better for others it has not. It is a very touching read that I felt the author gave her all as she brings two souls together for them to grow giving them their deepest wish. As we know things in life do not always turn out the way we want. For Mason, Lacey was able to bring him out of his shell and give him the best gift of all “Life”. He is able to overcome and grow to rebuild as he looks to a future he will be able to handle with his little angel. This is about all I can say without giving this story away. The author reached right into my heart as it went out to each character a tear fell leaving me torn with the ending. I was glad to see Mason grow and be able to turn into the man he was with the caring heart and love to give.

The supporting characters are wonderful they are loving and caring. They give both Mason and Lacey the support they need through some trying times. I doubt very much if you can read this story and not have your own heart torn out. With you wanting to take Lacey in your arm and giving her the strength she needs or maybe change places with her. I would have liked to see how things turned out for Mason and Grace. It would have been nice to see how their love grows and how they deal with is lose of love ones. I have to say I really enjoy this book but at times I was really upset with the author. I am a little confused at the title one you read it you will see for me I think it should have been names Saving Him or it could be about Grace…I just do not know. We can’t all have a HAE as in true life we must live each day as it is our last give love to those you love why we have them. If you are looking for a touching read that does have a sad but happy ending this give this book a read. I am sure you will have strong feelings as I have.

~ 3.5 I don't know what to think Stars ~

It pains me to write this, but Saving Her was not my favorite Alexis Noelle book. I have LOVED every book I have read by her but there was just one aspect that I couldn't wrap my head around. I come to expect certain things from my favorite authors, so when they switch it up…I am completely thrown for a loop. And this book did that to me.

With that said, I did really like this book, up until a certain part. I am not one to spoil major plot twists and turns, just know this one didn't make me happy. As always I thought the writing was great and I really liked the characters of this story, even Mason, even though he was a supreme jerk in the beginning. I loved the storyline, except for that one part. This book is told primarily from Lacey's POV but we got a short snippet at the end from Mason's. This is a short book, so it was a quick read. I will warn you that you will be put through an emotional wringer with this book. Have tissues handy.

I truly believe this book should've been titled Saving Him, because I truly felt that this book was more about Lacey Saving Mason, then the other way around. Lacey was married before to a total jerk, ( I totally wanted to junk punch him when he made appearances in this story. ) Scott not only cheated on her but had another family in a town close by…not to mention, this was going on the whole time Lacey and Scott were married. Scott take the word douchebag to a whole other level!!!! Mason has some serious demons from the past which totally messed him up. He doesn't believe in love, or relationships, and is only up for a one night stand…..that is until he meets Lacey and she shines a light on his darkness. Lacey and Mason were an explosive couple and I truly believed in their connection. It was great watching Lacey bring Mason back into the land of the living and loving.

Just like Protecting Her, Saving Her is a stand-alone book. Even though this isn't listed as being a part of a series, this book follows along with a group of friends, who are each getting a book. I don't feel that you need to read the other books of this grouping, but we do see the couple from Keeping Her a lot in this book, because Jules and Lacey are BFF's.

So if you are a fan of a quick but emotional love story, then this is the book for you. Even though this book didn't exactly work out for me, don't hesitate in giving it a try…It might be a 5 star read for you. Even with the curve ball from Alexis with this book, I will still read anything she writes.

OMG! I so love Alexis Noelle and her books! I’ve not read one that’s bad! This series is so awesome!!!!

Keeping Her is Brian and Julia’s story. It’s soooooo good. Lies, misunderstanding, attempted murder, romance, sadness. It’s really got everything you could want in one perfect story.

Protecting Her….OMG Samantha & Hunter. WOW! This one is explosive! Sam is feisty in her own right but Hunter is a class A jerk! At least at the beginning. Hunter is the perfect one night stand, never the same girl twice, man whore. And of course it takes just the right girl to tame these types of men. Sam is the perfect one to do this. Amazing and brilliant story!

Saving Her is….hmmmm well it took me a while to get over this book. I’m not quite sure what to say. I don’t know if it’s my fav of the series or just the one I remember the most. It’s defiantly the one that made me cuss and hate Alexis the most!! Lacey and Mason hate relationships….well Mason brings whole new meaning to the words "hate relationships"! Lacey is - well she’s just perfect. Pretty and genuine; heart and sweet; loyal and funny. You must read this book to understand why it made me Facebook Alexis and tell her I’m mad at her!!

Claiming Her is about Nina & Jake. Nina is a masseuse and Jake’s friends (the guys in the above books) prank him. They tell him that since he’s had terrible dates the past few months he needs to go see Nina. Her massages have “happy endings”. So he goes. Yes, it was a joke! But SO funny!!!! I liked this book because he was the one determined to have a relationship and “chased” Nina even though she had serious demons that needed to be dealt with. I think this one might be the most fun and romantic of the four.

I really loved reading these books and having them all in one place. Reading them right after each other makes it feel like it’s all one story. You will get more info on the other characters since they are all in each book.

Alexis writes quickly and fast paced and I’ve seen a few reviews where it wasn’t liked. I can say that I don’t see the issue with this but that could be because I did read them right after each other. I enjoyed that the story doesn’t lag and gets down with business right from the start. I don’t know what the writing version of “talking to hear yourself talk” would be but Alexis doesn’t have that and it’s refreshing!!!!

VERY Highly Recommend!!!!

Oh the freakin TORTURE
This author knows how I feel about here so if I say I HATE her she won't take offense , it only means the story made me feel way more than I wanted to and I am slowly healing days later. She has been known to rip my heart out and stuff it back in all crooked and jumbled. This story was probably the worst so far to get over. That being said I enjoyed reading it , am glad to have had the chance to read it and flew through it in a matter of hours. Right from the start you are set up to be waiting for the other shoe to drop , it is agonizing.

Lacey has not only been betrayed by her ex husband but now once again all hopes and dreams for her future are on hold. Choosing to keep her news a secret she also decides to throw caution to the wind and finally see if Mason , a friend of a friend, will pay her any attention. There is a little game of cat and mouse during a drunken night and despite the talk of what would come of them being together something beautiful blooms out of this unexpected duo. Mason has his faults , his issues & secrets as well. He has his friends yet he doesn't let many close to him. He is straight forward with Lacey. No love , no feelings , no getting to know each other, just a physical relationship where they both get what they want and feel great while doing so. Of course we know how that goes and soon things are being thrown in their path that nobody expected. I am not a fan of secret keeping BUT the story flows well and I get it now. Such a tragic ending and as much as you can say it can be an HEA in part , I am just too destroyed to feel the peace. I really didn't think it would go there BUT it did and as much as I hate it I give credit !! Now in the midst of this playing out we get PLENTY of HOTNESS from Mason !! No denying the fact that he is book boyfriend , panty melting material !! The connection between the two of them is amazing and I loved watching them develop their relationship so honestly. Regardless of what they claimed to want it didn't matter , they couldn't stop the way it happened and if you can hang onto that you may get through the tough times !!

Dang, this one left me with very little of my self-respect intact- crying in public is never a great look but I just couldn’t help myself, by the time I was finished with the epilogue I was wrecked!
Mason and Lacey will break your heart, honestly this is a story that if it could I would tell to stand up and take a bow.
Lacey went through hell in her marriage and now that it is over she is trying really hard to rebuild her life, to pick up the pieces and move on. I found her enthusiasm infectious, her zest for life to be able to live it the way she wanted was joyous but it didn’t hide the fact that she was alone.
Of course she had noticed Mason, it would have been impossible not to have seen him but there was something about him that had her ready to keep him at arms-length. She was wary of him or should I say that she was more sceptical of the attitude he portrayed.
But when the inevitable happens and the two of them are face to face with a decision on whether to act upon their feelings of not, it is pretty hard to turn your back on the chance of happiness.
Mason, I thought he was one of the most gently demanding men I have ever read about, he had lived his life in what was effectively an emotional vacuum never having known what it was like to be loved, until Lacey.
I understood his moody demeanour and was thankful in a way that he used it as his defence mechanism.
He hide his heart and himself so deeply that breaking through his shell to reach the soul of the man was always going to take the skill and patience that only Lacey could give him.
There are decisions made that you will rejoice at and others that will earn a swift shake of the head but you will be captivated by their relationship and the issues that they have to face.
I would recommend that you read this solo, give yourself time to snivel and be prepared for the epilogue!!!!

This gritty little novel will have you loving and hating Mason Brooks all at the same time. Even Lacey isn’t sure she like him. She knows he’s hot and she can’t get him out of her head but beyond that he has nothing to offer her.

I loved Lacey from the start, life has done her wrong by a jerk of an ex-husband. It doesn’t seem cheating and shredding Lacey heart was enough for him. He still wants her to hurt and he wants to inflict the cruel pain upon her.

When the tables flip and Mason finally gives into his desire for Lacey, will he be able to let her in. Will he let her start to heal him of his horrific past? Or will that pain get in the way of their happiness? Or will something bigger be the real cause of ultimate heartache?

This is not the happily ever after that I thought I would get. This one had me in tears for the injustice of it all but yet there’s a sweet victory to it all too.

When the person that was suppose to love, honor and cherish you doesn't; it effects you. It alters how you think and feel. For Lacey it changed her who that she didn't want or need anyone because she feared the let down. She stopped believing in fairy tales coming true. She put up a shield up around herself that no one can break through especially men.

Until Mason...

Lacey,"My heart was crushed by a man who promised me everything and then took it all away. He proved to me that you never really know someone. But this man makes me want to throw caution to the wind. I don’t want love, but I do want Mason Brooks."

Mason has waited for Lacey to come around and repair herself from whatever happened before arriving there. It also was a time for Mason to heal too. He never did more than one night. But that time was over now. It was time for him to claim who he wants. Lacey. Even if she resists at every turn.

When others have turned their hearts black, Can love turn their hearts red again?

I loved this book. Which is a a pattern with Alexis Noelle's books. I haven't read one I haven't loved. I absolutely love Mason. OMG I yelled at Lacey to heal so she can find Love with Mason. I was rooting for this couple. I want them to have their HEA. But with others enter the picture and screw everything up. I was hooked from page one and stayed up until 4am to finish it. What a great book! Make sure you have 4-5 hrs then pick up this book. Amazing Read!

Wow. When I began reading this story I felt the usual disappointment as I did with the other two books....inconsistencies, misspelled words, missing words. But I loved Lacey's sarcasm and wit. Something I hadn't noticed in the other books. Her determination and courage soon took center stage. When she chose her child over her health the story changed and the writing changed. It became real and honest. I felt the emotions behind every word. Though for the life of me I don't understand how she could possibly think it would be okay to visit Mason's mother, I still felt that this story was going to be beautiful HEA about their developing love. When she went into the hospital and I saw what little was left in the book I steeled myself for a quick unfulfilling la-dee-da ending. Boy was I wrong. I'm still crying and know I'm going to be upset over the ending for a while longer. That's the sign of some good writing. I'd have given this five stars but I'm sorry, Alexis, the editorial mistakes really have no excuse. Give the preliminary copy to three of your closest friends and ask them to read it twice to catch these mistakes. If you're actually paying someone then you're wasting your money. This book really changed my opinion about the author's writing. No longer light weight fluff with predictable storylines. This book had meat on its bones and the author showed real potential.

This book is wonderful. I couldn't put it down. It stunned me. I wasn't expecting what happened - his saving her was not the way I expected.
Lacy Hunt is trying to survive after a horrible divorce. Her husband began cheating on her after one year of marriage and when the divorce became finalized he already had a fiance and two kids! She is done with love. She is also trying to deal with her feelings of self worth. Lucy will make you laugh when she talks to herself. She'll make you feel her strength. She also has one of the best lines I have every read "I will cooch kick you so hard I will break your clit".
Mason Brooks has lived a horrible life and he believes he is a monster. Darkness follows him. He believes love is nonexistent and toxic. Mason will break your heart and also make you want to help "fix" him.
Then Mason and Lacy meet at a bbq. Their story will make you cry, laugh, cry, want to smack then upside their heads at times, and did I mention cry?
As Lacy tries to deal with some critical issues in her life she tries to forge a bond with Mason - the man she can't get out of her head or dreams, who doesn't seem to want her for anything but sex.
Mason is dealing with his past but also sees Lacy as an Angel who he doesn't want to damage.
Together the two help each other heal.
This book gives you the unexpected and will leave you stunned.

Saving her by Alexis Noelle. Lacey’s world has been turned upside down. She gave Scott everything. Now she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her and has entire other family with children something he never wanted with her. Now divorced and starting over she has the help of her best friend to try and salvage her life. It is Lacey’s birthday and they are going out to celebrate but there is one problem. Mason! Lacey has a hard time dealing with him. He gets under her skin and she doesn’t know if she wants strangle him or have sex with him. Mason is a man with his share of demons. He knows he is damaged but there is something about this girl Lacey that has him acting like a jerk when she is around but the thoughts of what he wants to do to her can be considered rated X. One night between Lacey and Mason changed all of that. Two people who each have their own issues trying to reconcile what they have done. I do not want to give too much away about the story. It will not disappoint. When I looked upped I was almost finished with the book. I wanted more but what I got was something else. I was almost inconsolable by the end of this book. I have no choice but to give this book 5 stars. Loved it!!!!S

A Quick Very Emotional Read
Wow, I am almost at a loss as to what to say about this book without revealing anything important. I absolutely loved the characters and was hooked from page one. I flew through the book, and would have done so even if this had been a longer read. The emotional roller coaster that the author straps us into in this book was unexpected for me to say the least. The blurb didn't have me anticipating that at all. There were moments when I was laughing, times when I found myself angry and then there were the tears, and these were not that tears welling up, or single one tear sliding down your cheek. This was a real sobbing, and while I do tear up while reading and occasionally let a tear or two fall I don't really every find myself ugly crying. This is that book. The author totally wrecked me. I love her work though, and just the fact that she can elicit this kind of reaction from me attests to her brilliance. I have written and erased my feelings about the end several times now and have decided to just leave it for you to find on your own. I can't wait to read more from this author, but for now I will take my tissues and make myself something warm to sip. I was generously provided a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.

Saving Her is Mason and Laceys story.Having come out of a bad marriage Lacey is now divorced starting her life over.Mason has had his own problems to deal with he doesn’t believe in relationships and love ever after he does one night only, hes moody and closed off with only a small selective circle of friends. When Mason and Lacey meet there are fireworks.hey think they can have a sex only relationship no involvement ,no demands,no strings and definitely no feelings….but that one night together changes it all and things now don’t seem that easy.Lacey is keeping a secret, a secret that will change everything. Will she tell Mason what shes been hiding and what next for them when he does find out?
This was quick emotional read that breaks your heart in places so have tissues on stand by!! I love the character of Lacey,it was abit more difficult to warm to Mason but I did eventually. The story takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions that have you laughing one minute and crying the next, that of course down to the brilliant writing from Alexis Noelle she knows how to rip your heart out!! The subject in this story is a sensitive one but I think handled with great care by the author.Another great read from Alexis.

This was an emotionally beautiful tale of two flawed and broken souls finding each other. Lacey and Mason have both suffered the tragedy and pain that life can throw at you. Lacey had a husband who continues to be verbally and psychologically abusive even after their divorce. She is stubborn, strong and determined to move on. When she meets Mason Brooks at her friends party, she is instantly drawn to the sexy, quiet, damaged man. Mason has seen and endured too much tragedy in his life. He doesn't speak more than a few sarcastic words and believes he is incapable of love. He too is infatuated with Lacey. They begin a secret 'no emotions allowed' affair. But Lacey wasn't enough for her ex. and she doesn't want to be that again. She wants more from Mason and she delicately and slowly proved to him that he wanted more as well. They are two fractured souls who fit perfectly together. For a quick read I liked how their deep friendship and love grew slowly. They have fun together and have great chemistry. But life never goes as planned and can be a bumpy journey. Lacey and Mason have wonderful friends who support them through it all. Grab the tissues and hold on, this is a journey you don't want to miss!

MY REVIEW
I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face. Talk about expect the unexpected yes this book did not go anything like i was expecting at all. I certainly didn't expect to be so emotional.
This is one of those books that rocks your emotional balance, it is such a wonderful story but its very bitter sweet.
What you do get is a emotionally invested into the characters, who you can relate to with the real life situations they find them selves in.
Mason and Lacey's story is a life's journey that will make you laugh, smile, feel frustrated, and heart broken.
This is about two people who have their own fears and demons who reach out to one another, finding a way to connect the broken pieces of their lives back together. There struggles are vastly different but they are perfect to help the other.
Their journey isnt a smooth one, its rough and full of turmoil, but the ending will leave you feeling emotionally drained with a hint of a smile.
I have to say the ending had me feeling sucker punched not what i expected. Lacey gave Mason the ultimate gift, a reason to live life.
For a short book 4 wonderfully emotional stars.

In the third book, Saving Her you have Lacey and Mason. We have seen Lacey in the previous two books, and have seen a little of Mason too. So we already have a connection to these characters. Lacey has suffered a terrible crippling blow when her husband divorces her after she learns he has a second family in the town over that includes a girlfriend and two kids. Its such a huge blow, because her then husband Scott had always said he didn't want kids, something Lacey has always desperately wanted. She gave up her dreams for him, only to be crushed by him. Mason is a contractor, who is more than ruff around the edges, he comes off as a real asshole. Hardly talks to Lacey but always acts like a possessive jerk. The heart can't control who it wants and these two want each other. However there are so many obstacles in the way for this couple. This book is no different with regards to the emotional ride you are on, but it is definitely the most emotional roller coaster I have been on in quit a while. Their are so many secrets in this book, with so many underlining problems, you wonder how can these two find their happily ever after?

Wow, this story is a crazy heart wrenching one. Lacey is a super strong character. She has a jerky ex, Scott, who still doesn't treat her nice. She has battled cancer with her best friend Jules by her side. On her birthday is gets some unexpected news that isn't good. She still puts on a happy face and goes out with her friends to celebrate.

She has a crush on super sexy Mason. Mason has a past that isn't full or happy times and is a little stand offish. Mason is a little cocky and at first I didn't really like him but he grew on me as I read on. Mason and Lacey hook up and have a steamy night which is suppose to be just sex but it may turn out to be more.

Lacey has a huge life decision to make. I have read a lot of Alexis Noelle's books and I know each one has a major twist in them. So, I expected a major twist in this one, I even thought I knew what was going to happen but I didn't. I was completely surprised by the ending, I had to reread it to make sure I read it right.

A copy was received for a review.

Gifted Copy

Saving Her is beyond word one of the best reads this year for me. I have loved all of Alexis books that I have read, Saving Her goes beyond loving. This short story is wonder and addicting. If you don’t love Alexis work by now you will after you read this one.

You are taken into Lacey word where she had her heart rip out by the man that was to love her for the rest of her life. Lacey show you just how strong you have to be to survive some of life’s hardest choices. She takes a chance when she sets her sights on Mason.

Mason is one very broody man. You don’t get much out of him and he doesn’t expect much from anyone. One very special person might just bring him to his knees. He knows there is something different about Lacey but will not let her in.

I was brought to my knees on this one. So many emotions are given to you with this book. I was blown away and still wanting more from this tale. I love when a book can evoke all the feelings that you know you have to feel when it comes to situations like Mason and Lacey face. Love, Love, Love Saving Her!!!!

So this book was not what I expected. It definitely had a twist/turn towards the end that made me feel a bit put off. Not to say this isn’t a good story it was a heartbreaking one. Saving Her follows Mason and Lacey who we met in Protecting Her (Hunter/Samantha). Lacey has always been attracted to Hunter but never felt the same in return. One night ends up changing their relationship. As they navigate their feelings towards each other things start getting dicey. Lacey has a secret (well a few) and she is determined to not let Hunter know. Queue the why don’t you just say something before it gets worse moment (by the way it gets worse). The struggles they face is heartbreaking and Hunter definitely redeems himself in many ways at the end. I did feel though that Lacey just did whatever pleased Hunter-I get her circumstances but her forgiveness came way to easy. It was a pretty fast read and the story does draw you in until the very end. Emotional story with many many feels.

Saving Her was a great quick read packed with so many feels. This book was an emotional roller coaster for me. The highs were amazing and the lows left me a sobbing mess.

I loved this story and I had a feeling from the beginning that it was going to leave me gutted. I was right, by the end I was crying so hard I could barely see the words on my kindle. I was hoping for a different outcome but I must say the ending was perfect. The epilogue was beautiful and once again had me crying both happy and sad tears.

The characters were amazing! Lacey is a beautiful, strong woman. Mason is dark, gorgeous and a jerk most of the time. But they seem to bring out the best in each other. Lacey added much needed light to Mason's darkness. I loved the supporting characters too and was excited to see that there are other books about them. I cannot wait to read more about this group of friends. If you like a book with lots of feels you will love Saving Her.
