Retracing his uncle’s final movements in Mexico, Aaron Cross is hunting for the men who killed him. Dylan Taylor is still on the run from The Cadre. When Aaron’s and Dylan’s paths collide, little do they realise how much they are going to need each other if they are to finally stop The Cadre’s plans for a New World Order.

DI Tony White is trying to prove who really masterminded the terror attack on Southampton. His chief suspect is MP Eve Partridge, but with the whole country and The Cadre supporting her, he sets out on a dangerous journey to deliver justice.

With a new UK Prime Minister on board, it seems like nothing will stop The Cadre group achieving their plans for world domination. But they didn’t account for the three men with nothing to lose, who will risk everything in the pursuit of freedom.

Politics, conspiracy and suspense: DOUBLE CROSS is the nail-biting follow-up to CROSSHAIRS and COMPLICIT.

I was lucky enough to be given this book as an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review..so here it is!

DOUBLE CROSS is the third book in The Cadre Series with CROSSHAIRS being the first and COMPLICIT following on. As the amazon synopsis says, Double Cross is “Politics, terrorism, conspiracy and suspense” all rolled into one and beautifully ends the trio of the Cadre series in my view.

We are reunited with some of my favourite characters in this book: Aaron Cross, Dylan Taylor, DI Tony White, DS Davies and DCI Mercure. Then of course there are the baddies: The Chairman, The Serpent gets a mention and the unforgettable Victor Stratovsky to name but a few.

I was hooked from the start! It was fast paced so kept me interested and the storyline was full of twists and a few unexpected “OMG” moments –I love OMG moments and if a book doesn’t have them I soon lose interest.

I also think that the author did a great job in linking all three books/storylines together seamlessly so this book could easily be read as a stand alone. Though I would personally recommend reading all three as they are great books in their own right.

The author also has a great way of making “likeable” characters…even the baddies have something about them which leaves the reader wanting more.

The ending for me was superb!! No spoilers but I literally squealed with glee on my communte home as I read the final paragraph…Mr Edger will know exactly what I am talking about…the rest of you will have to read the book to find out why!

This may be the end of the Cadre series but it opens the door for another of my Edger faves…and I also hear a short story is on the cards to be released in August 2015 so I am definitely looking forward to that.

Cannot recommend this book/series enough. Hope you grab yourself a copy and enjoy it as much as I did!
