Growl (Feral Passions #1) is an anthology of three stories by three awesome authors, Eve Langlais, Kate Douglas and A.C. Arthur.

Feral Passions by Kate Douglas
Chereza Dubios, or Cherry, doesn’t want to go on vacation with her sister and her sister’s best friend. They are going to an exclusive resort up in the mountains where it is said that you can get up close and personal with wolves. But they convince her she needs the vacation so she gives in. Cherry is a very intelligent woman but lacks in self-confidence. She had a terrible experience ten years ago when she was eighteen which left her scarred emotionally. That was her first and last experience with a man.

woman and two wolves::

Feral Passions only takes six women at a time as guests and they are staffed completely by very sexy men. Cherry can’t believe it when not one but two men seem interested in her. Still, though, her feelings about her own self-image keep her from believing that they could truly be interested in her.

Cherry’s week at Feral Passions ends up exceeding any and all expectations she could have ever had. Slowly she can feel herself becoming more accepting of who she is and the feelings she has developed for the two men are real and strong. Her week was filled with new friends, passion, good food and beautiful wolves. The men here are all so beautiful but Cherry is convinced that they might be keeping a huge secret. But her week is up and it’s time to go home. Can she say good-bye and return to her life the way it was?

The Alpha’s Woman by A.C. Arthur
Kira Radney’s mother has been murdered. Just months after her death, one of her pack mates tries to claim Kira against her will for his own mate, with her own father’s permission. So Kira runs. She is an alpha female and wants no part of being claimed. But for some reason, she veers from the path she was on and ends up on the private property of Blaez who is in a rival pack to her own.

woman and wolf:

When Blaez found Kira on his property, he should have left her alone. But he couldn’t. Something about her drew him to her. He took Kira to his home for her own protection, not realizing who she was. As time passed, Kira begins to accept the members of Blaez’s pack. The attraction between Blaez and Kira cannot be denied. But Blaez has committed to never mate, to never allow himself to love someone after he lost his own parents and siblings.

As Kira finds a place amongst Blaez’s pack, her self-confidence grows as does her acceptance of what a future as Blaez’s mate might hold for her. At the same time, secrets are revealed, things set in place by the Gods that sealed Kira’s fate before she was ever born. Does that fate include Blaez? And what will happen when her father’s pack comes for her as she knows they will?

Legal Wolf's Mate by Eve Langlais
Gavin is a successful lawyer who always wins his cases, no matter what. He was turned into a wolf against his will by a crime lord hoping to secure his very own lawyer, Fabian Garoux. But Gavin is a lone wolf. He refuses to follow what Fabian had planned for him and has his own successful clientele. Gavin had been told stories about Fated Mates, that once you see “the one” that everything shifts inside you and that one person becomes your world. But he didn’t believe any of it. He liked his life as a bachelor. That is, until he saw her!

Women with guns.. Badass and sexy at the same time.:

Megan is a secretary for one of Fabian’s enemies. Suddenly, her boss turns up dead and Megan is arrested for the murder with incriminating evidence found in her apartment. She can only afford a public defender until an acquaintance takes her to Gavin’s office for a meeting. He is annoying, arrogant, and devilishly handsome. She can barely fight the attraction she feels towards him. But if he is to be her lawyer, that means hands off. But Gavin states his intensions right from the start. He plans to pursue her, so she better just get used to the idea.

“So you’ll take me on?” The flutter of her heart now had more than one reason to stutter fast.
“Oh, never fear, little rabbit. I fully intend to take you.”

“You make it sound so ominous. As if I don’t have a choice.”
“You don’t. Don’t you remember what I said? I’m a wolf, and I always get what I want.”

All three of these stories are amazing. They all contain some very sexy shifters and the women who win their hearts. Each one, though, is unique in it's own way. I loved all three of these and I hope you will too.

Personal Overview

The Legal Wolf's Mate by Eve Langlais - 3 Stars

True to Eve Langlais' fashion this story is very lighthearted and fluent, as usual I loved the MC's internal monologues, and the sassiness of the dialogues.
Gavin is a lawyer and wolf shifter, who uses his enhanced abilities in his favor while practicing law, and doesn't mind much about moral grounds as long as he is on the winning side. Until a certain little human needs his expertise and his pushed to him, as a client. So the ever so confident Gavin, gets sucker punched when meeting her, and for the first time has to do something he never did before, chase a woman...
(...)he realized he’d have to do something he’d sworn never to do. Chase after a woman. And he’d thank his inner wolf to simmer the hell down. He wouldn’t lope or run or loll his tongue while doing it. Even a wolf in legal clothing had an appearance to maintain.

And so it begins his quest alongside with the fight to prove her innocence, and here is where the author surprised me and not in a good way since I really wished she hadn't gone through that path, because I really enjoy the lightness and humour of her books.
Oh well, does mean I'll stop reading her books, but I hope this one was just a blip. Hence the rating not being as low as it probably would be if I wasn't used to her writing style. This was also the shortest of the three stories in the book.

Feral Passions by Kate Douglas - 4 Stars

Feral Passions his a secluded resort created by a male shifter community as a way to meet potential mates, since they only allow groups of women as guest.
Brad and Cain feels immediately drawn to Cherry, one of their human guests, and they seem to find in her their missing piece for their Triad. To be sure of that, they have to work on showing her that, and overcoming her deep self-image problems (ingrain in her by traumatic events from her past and her parents).
They get closed and closer to her, both in human form and wolf, and they get very attached to her, which in time, bring also their insecurities to light, that she may reject them, and they get heartbroken.
His eyes burned with the thought of not keeping her forever and he wiped away a tear he refused to let fall. (Cain)

Brad and Cain are so sweet and understanding, they share a deep love for one another, and as we find out through this story, they have been lovers for many years (so attention to readers who don't like M-M interaction in menage relationships, this is not for you), I was not expecting it, and there is descriptive scene of them having sex during one of the threesome scenes (per h's request). And although they both love one another deeply, they only feel complete with Cherry.

"What Brad and you and I are doing is making love. Don’t forget that. Sex is something people can walk away from. Making love is building a foundation that’s rock solid. It has staying power. It’s built to build upon. That’s what this is, what we’re creating.”

It was a very sweet and hot read, and I will surely keep an eye out for the rest of the series.

Alpha's Woman by A. C. Arthur - 4.5 Stars

This one was my favorite story of the Bundle.
The story starts off with Kira, a wolf shifter, who is on the run from her father and his pack. She was forced to run away by a series of traumatic events, but also because she wants to choose her own fate. What she was no idea is that Fate is also working and has so much in store for her...Mainly in the form of one hunky wolf shifter, Baelz.

Baelz (cool name, by the way), an Alpha shifter through and through, lives with his small (all male) pack in a secluded location, and maintaining is location a secret from his enemies is one of his top priorities. That is until a certain wolf shifter literally runs in to him.
Let's just say he was not happy with the intrusion in his peaceful life...LOL

Of course neither are happy by their undeniable attraction, nor the sparks that fly every time they touch, because having a mate (not that they acknowledge the other as such) was never in their plans, so they both fight it in their on way. Baelz searching for reasons to push her away, but at the same time keeping her close and not letting her leave. And Kira trying to escape and return to her search of "something more".
And so it begins the play of push and pull between the two shifters with a lot of HOT scenes in between, because lets face it, their magnetism is of the charts. As the story goes along we find out that Baelz and Kira have a very important role in their world, and their fate is far greater than themselves alone.

And once they push all their doubts aside, we see the deep love they feel for one another.
“Didn’t think there was anyone that I could love, or that could love me. Someone that I would be willing to risk it all for.”
“But I do, Blaez,” she said immediately. “I do love you. As much as I wanted to fight it, to run and keep going forever and ever. It’s here, right here is where I belong, standing beside you ready for whatever comes. I know that now. I know that this is our destiny.”
(...)
“You are my destiny. My mate. My life,”(...)
“You are my alpha,” was Kira’s whispered response as she leaned in for another kiss, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck. “My alpha forever.”

Alpha's Woman was really a captivating read, so much so that I became greedy and wanted more, maybe a little a little epilogue with some view into their future, and that's why it's not the five stars for me. I know, I know, is a bundle and I'm sure the author is going to write the stories of the other pack members, and then I get a look into their future, but like I said I'm greedy and I want it now (pouting..) ! I look forward to the second book of the series on February!

As a general conclusion, I must say I was pleasantly surprised and recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great assortment of paranormal stories. Although we get the different writing styles and types of romance in the individual stories, they complement each other wonderfully in the bundle, because it gives a little taste to all the characters that are going to be part of future books by the authors. It definitely made follow the authors to check when the next of these series are coming out! ;)

*An ARC was given in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the writer and the publisher for the opportunity to read this.*

Growl is a great paranormal anthology. I wasn't crazy about Eve Langlais' story, but the ones written by A.C. Arthur and Kate Douglas more than made up for it. In fact, I will be buying the book when it comes out just for A.C. Arthur's story. I highly recommend this to any paranormal/shifter romance fan.

THE ALPHA'S WOMAN (A.C. Arthur): 5++++ STARS
HOLY SHIT WHO IS AC ARTHUR AND WHERE HAS SHE BEEN ALL MY LIFE??????
description

Oh. My. God. This was just— I just can't— It was so—

You know what? I can't even find the right words to describe this novella, so I'll just leave this here:
description

*takes a deep breath and calms down* Okay, now that my brain is functioning again somewhat, I just want to say that this was one of the best paranormal/shifter romance I've read this year. Yeah, sure, it wasn't perfect. Blaez got a little overboard with the drama-rama near the end, and all the crap about Greek Mythology made my eyes roll a few times, but damn.

The hot sex.
The amazing alpha.
The hot sex.
The likeable heroine.
The hot sex.
The amazing writing skills.
And oh, did I mention, the hot sex?

So, to reiterate what I just said, I'll post this gif again for emphasis:
description

FERAL PASSIONS (Kate Douglas): 3.5 STARS
Oh, boy. I was so not prepared for this. I actually had to check the book blurb to see if I merely overlooked anything that could have hinted that this was a menage-a-trois. But I didn't. So you could just imagine my surprise when things got a little too hot between Cherry, Brad and Cain.
description

Don't get me wrong, though, this wasn't the first time I read something like this. Alexa Riley's done a couple of menage-a-trois stories and they were rather entertaining. But I just wished that they warned us about it to prevent any confusion on our part.

Oh, I think I need to raise something that others might not be comfortable with. So yeah, that's a first for me.

Another thing I want to point out is that this seemed to be more of an erotica than an actual romance novella. It's practically 95% sex and 5% everything else. Not that I'm complaining. The sex here was amazing in a really, really dirty way. But yeah, if you assess this using parameters for a romance novel, this would fall short in characterisation and plot. For an erotica, though, this would be perfect.
description

The characters were adorable, but I did have an small issue with Cherry. I like that the writer wanted to portray her in a realistic way by making no excuses for her insecurities. What I did have a problem with was how quickly she changed from an insecure, inexperienced woman to a fearless sex goddess. That was just odd for me but all in all, I liked her. And Cain and Brad, too, of course.

Overall, I really enjoyed this novella. There were a few problems with it, but it makes for a really entertaining (not to mention sexy as hell) read.

THE LEGAL WOLF'S MATE (Eve Langlais): 2.75 STARS
The corny title aside, this novella was a solid 5-star story up until the 80% marker when things get absolutely ridiculous. Do you remember that episode in Grey's Anatomy when everything was normal—Meredith was having her usual existential crisis, Cristina was busy being a bad-ass, and McDreamy was there somewhere, being hot and adorable—and then George gets hit by a bus to save a woman's life.

Remember that?
description

Yeah. I'm still not over it. Don't worry though, no one dies a wholly undeserved and premature death here so you can take a sigh of relief. But what does happen is that, to put it crudely, the story fucks you up big time near the end. Almost everything I thought I knew about things turned out to be hogwash. Seriously. I never felt so betrayed by a character I really liked. That was the one that ruined everything for me.
description

It was such a big shame because I loved Gavin. I loved him so much I wanted to make baby wolves with him. But everything just went downhill after that "revelation" and not even my love for Gavin could make me turn a blind eye to how ridiculous things were getting.

Because things did get ridiculous. The characters' morals turned grey, and the plot got so convoluted. Loose ends weren't tied up.

Nevertheless, I loved, loved, loved the entire anthology. I said this already, but there's nothing wrong with saying it again: I highly recommend this.

Growl anthology - 3 very different werewolf stories from light hearted sexy to mid-range sensuality ala ménage to scorching, steamy and dark.

Legal Wolf’s Mate by Eve Langlais
Hilarity in the prose and situations plus twists for the fated mates. Silly and fun lines like “Mess with my woman, mess with me. Apparently, wolves like cavemen had a lot in common.”
Sexy and comedic romance that leaves me asking who’s next. And then the author clearly tells you in the epilogue.
Love this author.

Feral Passion by Kate Douglas
A retreat for women only as a guise for the werewolf pack hoping to find mates.
Sensual to erotic with a ménage and a vacation that results in love for several. Sweet and hot.

The Alpha’s Woman by A. C. Arthur
Scorching.
Lycans on the dark side of the spectrum. Born of a gods rage, they are not domesticated. They don’t care about fair play and are ruled by insatiable desires.
Extreme heat aka erotica in the guise of shifters history in this world. Controlled sexual games from start to finish here. The alpha rules.
Too much drama and angst for my preference.

***** 3.5 'Alpha forever' Stars *****

In Feral Passions , Cherry was an insecure girl that thought she was overweight and ugly. When her sister persuaded her to go to a resort with her, she was surprised to find the most intelligent wolves following her around. The attraction and romance between the characters definitely made me feel good, but Cherry's lack of self confidence was a bit annoying.

Warning: Feral Passions involves some menage.

Legal Wolf's Mate was a good fast read. Gavin is a lone wolf that enjoys being alone. Everything changed until he was asked to represent a woman with a murder case. This story was a bit mysterious and involved some action.

The Alpha's Woman took everything to a new level. It involved the history and mythology of the lycan race. It was also action packed and erotic. Please tell me there's going to be more of Kira and Blaez!

"You. Every part of you. Everything you are. It's all mine. Just mine."

I love an anthology as its great to catch up with authors I already follow but even better to discover new ones . Now admittedly I'd read stories by all three of the authors who have collaborated here but still couldn't resist getting their take on shifters. Unfortunately I had already read two of these stories so please beware that both the Kate Douglas and AC Arthur story have been previously published.
I'm not sure if the first story by Eve Langlais is new or not but it was certainly new to me. I've loved her purple aliens so finding out her take on wolves was something I was very keen to do and must admit it was quite a surprise !
Gavin is a lone wolf and I was very intruiged by his relationship with the wolf who turned him but alas it's a short story so I'm left wanting more about that. When Gavin is asked to take on a pro bono case he gets way more than he bargains for as the woman accused of murder is his Mate! Is she guilty ? It's a unique set up and this story was full of surprises with a heroine that is much more than she would appear to be at first.
Ms Douglas has written a ménage tale that felt sweet and romantic . Numerous sex scenes admittedly but they felt fresh and different . No real danger but characters to like and cheer on.
Finally a story with depth and a mythological background is Ms Arthur's contribution. I really wanted to like these characters but at times it seemed a tad repetitive to this reader. If you enjoy wolf lore and the idea of gods and hybrids than this might just make you want to read more from this author.
My final thought is if you enjoy paranormal romance and in particular shifter stories than this is a good way to see if you like the various authors styles . For me unfortunately it was a little hit and miss but that's because I'd already read two of the stories
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

When I read an anthology, I make sure there is one author I love in their and then the rest, new authors to try. So, with Growl I already knew I liked Eve Langlais and it gave me a chance to try out Kate Douglas and A.C. Arthur. Overall, I liked this anthology, it was worth the read, I have found a new series I want to read and had some sexy times with a variety of hot shifters.

LEGAL WOLF’S MATE BY EVE LANGAIS
3 STARS

Eve Langlais is the author I was most familiar with and this was the book I was looking forward to reading the most. I found it was … okay. It definitely wasn’t my favorite book from Langlais, but it was a fun story, with a little bit of action, a little bit of romance and some good sexy times. It also had a nice little twist to keep things interesting.

FERAL PASSIONS BY KATE DOUGLAS
4 STARS

I haven’t read any Kate Douglas so I didn’t know what to expect, but it turned out this was by far my favourite book in the anthology. LOVED IT. I really hope Douglas brings more books out in this series. Shy and curvy Cherry and her sister have gone to a women’s remote retreat called Feral Passions to relax for a week. However, what they don’t know is that Feral Passions is run by a pack of single werewolves all looking for their mate. I think you can pretty much guess what happens from there. And although the story may not be particularly original, I absolutely loved it and lapped it up. The sex between Cherry and her two (yes TWO) werewolf mates was hot and the romance was sweet, plus I really liked the idea of the story, as I said above, I hope Douglas doesn’t some more in this series, if she does I am all over it.

THE ALPHA’S WOMAN BY A.C. ARTHUR
DNF

In every anthology you always get a book you don’t like, in Growl this was that book. I just couldn’t get into it, despite valiantly trying a number of times, before deciding that life was too short, I just didn’t connect with it. I can’t put my finger on why I didn’t like it, I found it hard to concentrate on the book and my mind would wander, and when instead of reading you are contemplating doing your clothes washing, that’s when you know it probably isn’t the right book for you!

I just could not get into this book. I tried each story and would end up skimming them because I couldn't find anything I liked. I was hoping something would grab me and then I'd start the whole story again but all three stories just didn't do it for me at all. :(

I don’t know how a collection that started out so good could end up SO bad. I really enjoyed the first story, I even found it too short and wanted more. Then along came the second story which I did enjoy although it ended up being a bit of a sex fest towards the end and threw me off. And then there’s the third story. Now here’s the thing, I’m all for some smut and some sexy scenes and I’m not ashamed to admit I enjoy them. But there’s a point it goes too far and it just starts getting gross and unnecessarily pornographic. And since when is vulva lips pulsing something that’s sexy to read?

3 Stars. I liked the setting and the way it started but I am not into 2 men and one woman threesome bs. I prefer 1 man and 1 woman kinda romance. So I found it really hard to even finish this book. Heck I find it hard to give it 3 stars. Anyways if you’re in a threesome kinda love then you’ll like this book.

Legal Wolf by Eve Langlais was fun and light-hearted in way that only Eve can be when we have a woman being framed for murder and someone trying to kill her. Gavin and Megan are quite an interesting couple. A lawyer and a secretary framed for murder aren't what I would normally expect in a werewolf romance. But together they are a riot and are quite a cute couple. The dialog between them is fun and humorous. But, there are quire a few surprises in store. Megan throws a doozy at you and it makes me love her even more! The cherry on top was Broderick - a mouthy cat that gives us a chance to see Gavin in all his alpha goodness.

Feral Passions is quite the exclusive resort. Will someone please buy me a week's stay there?!?! Cherry is a lucky woman - taken to Feral Passions by her sister and her sister's friend. Where they get to enjoy a week vacation being waiting on by super-hot guys (that may or may not be werewolves) in a remote forest preserve. Heaven! I really love how Cherry changed throughout the story. The wolves are there for her to help boost her confidence and give her a new outlook on her life. Warning - this is the highest sexual rating in the anthology including menage - but it was soooo much fun. I felt like I was part of Cherry's world and now I really want to go back and visit again. Bonus: there's a side romance that runs through the background that is really great, too!

The Alpha's Woman was almost non-stop action and excitement. There's a strong tie to Greek mythology in this one that I really enjoyed. Being able to learn the history of the race of Lycans was just an amazing touch that really brought the story to life. Kira is on the run from her past and to her destiny, but she just doesn't know it. Blaeze was so very interesting. I loved hearing him talk about the history of his family. Blaeze and Kira are both something very special and unique - but I'll let you find out what exactly. Both are alpha's and watching them square off against each other was really great and led to some fantastic dialog and scenes.

Growl is an amazing mix of stories - all featuring really fun werewolf men. Each book is a very different tale that was exciting and sexy and so much fun to read.

I received an ARC for an honest review from the publisher.

Growl is three separate stories they are in no way related to each other, the only thing bringing them together is they are all about wolves.

Legal Wolves Mate is about Gavin and Megan. Megan was accused of murder but can she convince Gavin that she is innocent. I loved this story there is steam and a real plot.

Feral Passions was also steamy in a resort were all your dreams come true. The resort is run by werewolves hoping to find their mates. Cherry was trick by her sister and friend to come on this vacation and explore things that they are not sure about and learn a lot about themselves. When they return home they miss the friendships they made, the easy going days and the men they met.

In The Alpha's Women Kira is running from her pack to avoid being mated to someone she knows she doesn't want. She never imagined she would run into Blaez. HE takes her home and brings her into his pack. HE realizes quickly who she is and they have to set a plan before the full moon to protect her.

I really enjoyed this series and look forward to reading other books by these authors.

Legal Wolf's Mate - I loved this! It was such a funny and addicting story. Megan was a brilliant character and I loved her even more after the twist - which I totally didn't see coming! Gavin was so smooth and his ability to be unrattled was the perfect counterpart to Megan's zaniness. Looking forward to the next in the series, from the small epilogue I can all ready tell it's going to be epic! 5 stars.

Feral Passions - I liked the idea of this story and I'm a fan of ménage, especially when everyone is involved, so I did enjoy this story. It set a good pace but seemed to drag a bit in the middle. Good characters and a nice overall read. 4 stars.

The Alpha's Woman - It took me a while to get into this story (the longest out of the three). Once I did the story was good but felt disjointed as it randomly skipped forward at times. Both main characters were fighting being together so I missed seeing them as a functional couple. Overall, it was just okay. 3 stars.

This book contained 3 different stories with a theme : Lycan/wolf/werewolf - Romance - men, women
I liked the most was : Eve Langlais. Why? Because there was this mystery and I was quite surprised, I was completely taken by surprise with the story. It was the best.
Then the second one, because it was so romantic, I enjoyed the wolves a lot. But sadly nothing more, it was for me a good romance but I didn't feel the others appeals such as MMF, MMFF....
Third story, great potential. Yes potential. I would have given a higher ranking if it wasn't boring, sorry. It was too long for what it was but I really really like the Lycan mythology thing. It came too short, not much.
Will I read more of the last one, yes if it's like Percy Jackson.
Will I read more about the 1st book? Yes
Will I read more about the 2nd book? Yes, why not? A romantic novella with Men in holiday sanctuary, yup!

all three were "eh". love reading Alphas male heros and shifters but the writing with all three weren't the best. definitely wouldn't read again or recommend. Unless you don't mind the writing styles, all of the stories could have been better IMO.

This book was so bad. I try to give every book a chance, and reading to the first 150 pages was worse than crawling on my knees over broken glass. It’s giving someone under the age of 18 writing a fic on Wattpad.

The Legal Wolf's Mate by Eve Langlais

Gavin is a hot shot lawyer and a werewolf, his best friend Broderick, convinces him to take on a murder case pro bono. Megan is human and is being framed for a murder she didn't commit, the evidence is pretty damning and Megan has little hope left to reclaiming her innocence. Gavin reluctantly takes Megan's case and when they meet for the first time, all the soulmate stories Gavin could remember hearing and laughing about came back to bite him, since he was positive that he was looking at his mate. The situation escalates as whoever is framing Megan decides going to jail isn't enough anymore and now her life is in danger. Time is short trying to solve the murder, keep Megan safe and tell Megan that he is a werewolf and that they are mates. A little different then what I'm used to, not as much back story and a lot more twist and turns that I didn't see coming. I liked how Megan wasn't as helpless as she looked, that she could take care of herself, she didn't let anything get her down, not ever a murder charge. Gavin was what I expected a male werewolf to be, dominant, cocky, protective, and sexy. I'm excited to see what's in store for Broderick next.

Feral Passions by Kate Douglas

Cherry agrees to go to an isolated resort for a week vacation with her younger sister and her sister's best friend, she feels frumpy and unattractive next to the two younger, skinnier, prettier women but agrees anyway. It's a women only retreat, located on a wolf preserve, ran exclusively by men and there are only 6 guests there at a time for a week duration. What the women don't know is that the men that run the place are also the wolves that roam the place, the pack opened Feral Passions to help the unmated males find mates, because without mates, the pack is slowly dying. Brad and Cain have been together for a long time and love each other but also know that they weren't meant to be a couple but a triad. As soon as they see Cherry, they are instantly attracted but are unsure if it could be the real deal or not. Brad and Cain tell Cherry several times that they are in it for keeps and that it's not just a vacation fling, but Cherry had a very bad experience when she was younger and has very negative body images of herself. Brad and Cain not only have to tell Cherry they are werewolves, which is probably the easier part, they also have to convince her that they are serious about her and want a forever future with her. For some reason I felt that this story moved a little slow, I guess I was on board with Cherry keeping both Brad and Cain right away instead of second guessing everything, which seemed to slow the story down. I liked how Brad and Cain helped build Cherry's confidence in herself by being themselves, they didn't go out of their way to do it, they just treated her right.

The Alpha's Woman by A. C. Arthur

Kira is the daughter of the alpha of their pack and an alpha female herself. After her mom is killed three months before, pack life, which wasn't that great to begin with, changes for the worse. She runs after her dads second in command tries to claim her against her will with her fathers consent on her twenty first birthday and ends up in the middle of the wilderness in Montana. Blaez is the alpha of his small pack that lives in isolation in Montana and comes across Kira while doing a perimeter check. For her own protection, Blaez forces her back to their compound and keeps her locked inside, not knowing if she is just passing through or if she was sent to be bait to get close to Blaez. The attraction between Kira and Blaez is intense, but Kira wants nothing to do with alpha males and Blaez made a promise to himself after losing his family, to never love anyone so he won't go through the pain of losing them again. There is plenty of action, both the adventure and steamy variety. This took the werewolf story back to it's original Greek roots, which I enjoyed since I love Greek mythology.

THE LEGAL WOLF'S MATE (Eve Langlais):
OMG—this was fantastic. I loved this story. Gavin is a wolf and a lawyer and he is asked to take a pro bono legal case by a friend of his, Broderick, of a woman, Megan, who was accused of murder. Gavin goes to meet the woman and he finds she is his mate. WOW! Didn’t see that coming but his “mate” was fiery and awesome-she didn’t know what was going on and she was trying to find out who was trying to frame her. Then someone tried to kill her and all while Gavin is doing his hardest to get his mate cleared of murder charges. But there is HUGE twists and turns that you do not see in this story. OMG this was such a great story, Loved the ending. I cannot wait for Broderick’s story next.
My Rating: 5 stars *****

THE ALPHA'S WOMAN (A.C. Arthur):
This story seemed to have a feel of some Greek mythology in this story. Kira is running from her past and doesn’t know who to trust in this story. Kira doesn’t want to be mated, she wants to be able to choose her mate. So she is running from her past and to her future. She runs into Blaeze and he takes her into his home. He knows immediately who she is . Blaeze loved to talk about the history of his family to Kira and helped her understand how his family worked. Blaeze is the alpha of his pack and he takes his pack safety seriously. He doesn’t know if Kira was sent as bait to get to him or his pack or what her motives are so he makes sure she is locked in and doesn’t have access to much. Yet the chemistry, the attraction between them is intense. There is twists and turns in this story and a lot of it is tied , as I said in the beginning to this Greek mythology and werewolves. This is a good story and I loved the MC . Hope there is more in the series and the supporting characters.
My rating: 4.4 stars ****

FERAL PASSIONS (Kate Douglas):
**I am going to say it now. This is one HOT story and is full of hot sex—be forewarned if this is a hard limit for you and you do not like to read dirty sex and menage in your story. When I mean dirty, I just mean it is hot and good (smile).**
Feral Passions is a resort that is run to help werewolves find their mates. Cherry was offered a vacation by her sister and a friend , when really she was was tricked into coming by her sister and a friend to really explore who is she and find out her fantasies. Neither she nor her sister knows what the resort is for. Brad and Cain, the two werewolves are drawn to Cherry who they known are human. They realize she is the missing piece of their Triad. The story is one of the best and hottest of the book. I love how they show Cherry how her body is good how it is, being voluptuous and how she should be happy for how she looks and should be proud. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

My rating: 4.6 stars *****

Legal Wolf's Mate:
Gavin is quite the he-man alpha, "“any idea where she is?” Getting a coffee? The newspaper? Perhaps gone for a jog or a walk? Waking up beside a dead man? Because anyone touching my woman is asking for it. Lawyers called it justifiable cause." Megan has some tricks up her sleeve when it comes to handling her man, "...he’d tried to say no. Several times as a matter of fact. Then she leaned in close, placed a hand high up on his thigh, and whispered, practically against his lips, “I’m going, and you can’t stop me. So either we go together, or I go alone.” The thought of his woman working in a strip club brings out the animal inside him, "Gavin’s fist struck the counter before he could stop it, and he growled, “Megan won’t be working here. I forbid it.” I really loved this book.
Feral Passions:
Brad is a sexy man, "she pushed herself to a sitting position and he glanced up and grinned at her. “Dinner might be a few minutes late tonight,” he said. “I’m starting with my appetizer.” Cain and Brad are sexy alone but put them together and it's a whole heatwave, “oh, yeah. For you, sweetheart, only the best.” Cain slipped his arms around her waist. Brad paused as he passed behind her and hugged her from the back. She felt his lips nuzzling that sensitive spot behind her ear, Cain’s beard tickling her jaw." I love when two men get together with a woman it's seriously sexy.
The Alpha's Woman:
Blaez is alpha in all sense of the word, “don’t,” he said in a warning tone. “Don’t ever compare me to anyone else you’ve known. I’m better and stronger than they are.”He leaned even closer to her, so close she thought he might kiss her. “And when they come for you, which we both know they will, they’ll catch my scent all over you. That, Miss I-can-do-whatever-I-want, will keep your fine a** alive! And then, when it’s over, you can thank me.” I hope the other men get a book they were great characters and I loved them just as much as Blaez.

Growl is a collection of three paranormal romance stories by Eve Langlais, Kate Douglas, and A.C. Arthur. The tales are heated, fast-paced, and entertaining reads. “Legal Wolf’s Mate” by Eve Langlais is the first story, and in her usual style she humanizes the less-than-humane and renders tense situations comical. Gavin is a legal wolf shifter who finds himself distracted by tantalizing secretary Megan, accused of murdering her boss. When he finds that she might not be that innocent after all, they both have to decide how far they are willing to go for this attraction.

The second story in Growl is “Feral Passions” by Kate Douglas. This tale focuses around a group of long-lived shifter men searching for their mates. With this goal at heart, the men established a rustic retreat that caters to small parties of eligible females. Cherry is duped into going on the retreat by her sister at the last minute, but she definitely gets more than she ever excpected when she starts interacting with the men working at Feral Passions. This story is unique, interesting, and features steamy ménage.

The final story in the book is “Alpha’s Woman,” and it is the first A.C. Arthur story that I have read. I absolutely loved it! While the relation to Greek mythology was not new, the author’s take on the overall story was, and I enjoyed her characters and the way she set the packs up. The last story in Growl was super sexually charged, and it was a delight to burn through into the wee hours of the morning.

A hot and heavy trilogy of shifter romances. I absolutely LOVE Eve Langlais, but it was great to also try out two new to me authors.

Legal Wolf's Mate by Eve Langlais: This is pretty much the only story that seems to have a plot other than the main characters ending up in bed together. Cocky, super lawyer Gavin is blindsided by his mate who may or may not be a murderer.

Feral Passions by Kate Douglas: Need to get away from it all and be pampered by gorgeous men (who just happen to have a little more hair sometimes)? Feral Passions is for you. The female lead, Cherry is a bit broken so some of her character development is a bit hard to read and kicks you in the feels, but her romps with Cain and Brad make it worth the read.

The Alpha's Woman by AC Arthur: This was probably my least favorite of the three. It was a bit hard to follow and the male lead, Blaez isn't terribly likeable. There was some neat backstory/mythology regarding shifters, but it was a bit hard to follow.

Given book through NetGalley for an honest review.

All three stories are great shifter romances. The last one was definitely the best.

First has an interesting twist at the end. Lawyer finds his mate. But she isn't all she appears to be.

Second one has the most romance. Friend convince her to go on trip. She meets not one but two men of her dreams.

Third one is the longest. She is escaping her pack to only get takin by the alpha of another. They deny what their instincts tell them. But you can only deny it for so long.

Three wonderful novellas the are spicy and erotic. Eve Langlais's Legal Mate is a good start featuring both wolves and cats, even a human or two. Feral Passions by Kate Douglass is very sexy and just the sort of story to fulfill a fantasy or two. Alpha's woman features all werewolves and two packs fighting over a female alpha. All three are worthy reads and move quickly. An anthology of great reading for the werewolf, paranormal reader.

4.5 kitty stars for me.
Interesting book with 3 good reads that will make you fall in love with shifters! My favorite among the 3 are Legal Wolf's Mate and The Alpha's Woman. I like Feral Passions but I'm not that into it though. I was a bit confused on the first part of who will be Cherry's partner. Anyway, all 3 books have different shifter stories and concept. The common thing about them is that it's packed with hot scenes that will blow your mind. Love everything about them!
