Beau Donovan was born to ride bulls
and born to keep every feeling locked behind a lazy grin and a smart-mouth joke. After a career-halting accident nearly ended everything, he’s clawed his way back to the top of the circuit. The last thing he needs is a distraction.

Enter Bailey James.
Sharp-tongued. Too curious. Too beautiful. Assigned to shadow Beau for three weeks, she sees through him in a way no one ever has—and that’s the problem. Because Beau’s whole life runs on control of the bull, the crowd, and most importantly, control of himself. And Bailey? She ruins that in seconds.

What starts as a no-strings deal turns into something far more dangerous.
She makes him think about a future he’s never allowed himself to want.
He makes her feel something she swore she’d never risk again.

But when fear, past wounds, and a devastating misunderstanding collide, Beau has to decide whether protecting himself means losing the one woman brave enough to love the man behind the legend. And Bailey must choose between the career she’s built around staying detached…
or the cowboy who’s made her feel alive for the first time in years.

Sparks fly in this passionate, no-strings bull rider romance, perfect for fans of Lyla Sage, Elsie Silver and Maisey Yates.

Kiss Me, Cowboy is the second book in the Coyote Creek Ranch series and I’m swooning. This series is perfection.

Beau and Bailey. Sigh, such perfection. Beau is the biggest example of a true gentleman and Bailey isn’t looking for love but she finds her second chance with Beau after past heartbreak. This was the sweetest story and honestly like a warm hug for my soul. There were so many lovely moments that tugged at my heartstrings such as the picnic and the hotel scenes.
I also appreciated how quickly this got into the romance without feeling fake.
There’s plenty of spice whilst still feeling genuine.

I loved getting to know the characters and the ranch even more. The vibes are impeccable and the characters are all so lovable.

You can read each book in the series on their own but it was lovely to have the back story of the first book before reading the second.
These stories are so bingable. I can’t wait for the next book!

Thank you HQ, Romance ANZ and Harper Collins Australia for my review copy!

📚 BOOK 106 OF 2026 📚

💋 KISS ME, COWBOY - CLARE CONNELLY 💋

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Summary:
Kiss Me, Cowboy follows Beau, a guarded bull rider recovering from a life changing accident, and Bailey,  a journalist shadowing him for a story and who flips his whole world upside down. What starts as a no strings arrangement soon grows into something deeper, forcing them both to confront their pasts and decide if love is worth the risk.

What I loved:
💋 The chemistry between the main characters felt so natural and effortless, making their relationship easy to invest in from the beginning.
💋 I loved how the ordinary and mundane moments between the couple really shone. It made their relationship feel real and genuine, and all their interactions felt meaningful and really added to the story.
💋 Seeing the characters from the previous book again was a highlight! I loved how close they all were and how they continued to show up and support one another. The found family vibes were really giving such warmth and comfort 🥰
💋 The country, ranch setting added a lot of charm to the story, as well a lot of warm and welcoming feelings. The travelling and bull riding landscapes also added to this, whilst also bringing bits of tension every now and then to really change it up.

Final thoughts:
This was such an enjoyable addition to this series! Beau's story definitely lived up to my expectations, as it was full of heat, but also genuine and heartfelt romance. Loved the family dynamics and the writing was super engaging. Definitely recommend 😊

I really loved this! I loved Bailey's sass, I loved Beau's swagger. I enjoyed the whole story, and I loved that we got a glimpse into the actual rodeo! It was so good, I did feel towards the end it got a little repetitive about her past and a bit of repetitive internal dialogue regarding that. But overall this was a super enjoyable read, my first from Clare's and won't be the last

Kiss Me, Cowboy by Clare Connelly
Book 2 in the Coyote Creek Ranch series

- Slow burn
- Opposites attract
- Forced proximity
- Small town
- Cowboy protector hero

✨ True love doesn’t work that way, and unfortunately what I feel is the truest of loves. Real, everlasting, life-changing love.

💭
This book was such a sweet, cute, emotional read, and I absolutely loved it!

After finishing the first book, Tempt Me, Cowboy, I was so excited to get Beau’s story. Beau lives and breathes bull riding, even though everyone around him wishes he’d walk away from the sport. After suffering a serious injury, he decides to make a comeback and that’s where Bailey comes in. She’s assigned to spend three weeks with him to write an article about him, and from the moment they meet, you can tell they couldn’t be more different.

Watching their relationship unfold was one of my favourite parts of the book. The chemistry between them builds so naturally, and the slow-burn tension had me hooked. I loved how honest and vulnerable they were with each other. As their walls slowly started to come down, you could feel them both fighting so hard to protect their hearts, even though it was obvious they were falling. There were definitely moments that had me emotional, watching them try to save themselves from heartbreak while desperately wanting to be together. It was such a beautiful and heartfelt journey to read.

It was also so nice getting little glimpses of the couple from the first book, it made the series feel even more connected. The banter between the family is hilarious and I adore their heartwarming moments.

If you love cowboy romances with plenty of heart, emotional depth, sizzling chemistry and characters you can’t help but root for I definitely recommend picking this one up. I adored every minute of it and I’m already counting down until the next book in the series!

4/5 ⭐️

This was really cute! Loved getting Beau’s story 🥹 such a cutie pie, I loved the way he interacted with his family and with Bailey. He was so thoughtful and kind. I also really loved all the bull riding scenes, they were interesting and added some great tension to the book.

I really liked the premise of this and I thought Bailey and Beau had great chemistry! It did feel a little bit too insta-lovey for me but the forced proximity does tend to make things move a bit more quickly so I’ll forgive it 😅

I loved seeing all of Beau’s family again and I’m really keen for the next book! Foaming at the mouth for Nash’s story (I hope that’s the next one!)

Thank you so much to the author for providing an advanced reader copy 🤍 all opinions are my own.
