This is a hidden gem. The ecchi fanservice elements may turn most readers off, but this series is actually an amazing fantasy adventure comedy in its own right. It's ridiculously funny and has both a decent plot and actual character development.
The plot in short is thus: The hero has died, and a radish farmer with a fetish for thighs has to impersonate the fallen hero to complete the quest. The unwilling replacement has to seal Hell Gate and end the plague of demons. That is the series in a nutshell, but I assure interested potential readers that it's as funny as heck.
The first volume can have repetitive jokes, and that's actually true for the entire series, but the pacing is brisk and each chapter has a lot of action going in a twenty pages. The series gets better and better with every chapter as the stakes get higher for our heroes.
I read it for the laughs and I was not disappointed.
A surprisingly good serie: while it's -chockful- of fanservice, the story itself is actually well written, the plot engaging, the characters likeable, and the humor is on-point. If you can ignore all the fanservice (hard to, to be honest), it makes for one of the best fantasy mangas you could ever read.
