Symbolic of subarctic interior regions of Alaska, the Denali caibou herd roams across protected habitats shared by a host of northern wildlife species living within a diversity of natural settings at Denali National Park and Preserve. I learnt a lot about the park thanks to this wonderful book. The pictures are too beautiful. This will make a very nice coffee table book. Loved it. I particularly liked the section about the animals in the park. There were interesting sections about - Mt. McKinley, animals, plants and history of the park.

I read this after returning from a "mini vacation" in Alaska (actually, it was a mixture of business and personal travel). We visited Denali Park on Father's Day 2004 and the weather was exceptionally clear and crisp. Mt. Denali was totally and beautifully viewable, which we were told was rare.
