April 2017 - Ben loves, loves, loves choosing books with familiar characters like this, and I continue to force my way through them because my librarian brain knows that choice, autonomy, familiarity, and enthusiasm are all key to literacy and loving books. Blah.

Enjoyed this book. My 6-year-old loves Ninja Turtles. I liked how even though there are more words per page, because it's a step 4 reader, the words aren't too difficult. I liked Donnie learns a lesson in this book.
