This installment was brutal!! Théoden forcing his new embraced son Dante to submit to him was not that easy!!

And Deacon wasn't that "friendly" to his mate Elijah either!!
I loved Noel bonding more with his brothers especially Donovan.
So happy having the claiming" behind us, I'm curious to know their involvements in the series!!! The storyline just keeps me interested.

There is no doubt who has been Claimed. And while techincally this applies to the Wolves, this certainly applies to a certain Vampire as well. Phew...some of this was brutal...even more so than our dear Noel endured in Season One.
Noel's interactions with Donovan and Marco in this installment were a highlight for me. I am missing however interactions between Theoden and Noel but I hope these come soon.

Elijah has challenged Deacon to a fight. The stakes are extremely high; Elijah remains both difficult and ungrateful.
Deacon is a lot more rough around the edges than Theoden or even Noel. But his chapters and POV segments lack the intrinsic magic of those two. He’s still too much of a mysterious wild card. Oh—and his wives are super irritating.
Theoden is getting more deeply involved in the politics of running New Haven. He’s faced with some difficult decisions on which new Lords he will elevate.
Dante receives some very intense—and extremely unsavory—training. We learn more of Dante’s unique powers, but the mutilation scenes are…hardcore. Vivid and gruesome torture.
Donovan and Noel get more friendly. Loving the bro vibes in this book. It’s great to see the guys accepting Noel and treating him as an equal.
The fight training with Marco is a definite highlight.

Plot thickens
This book was the best ever. This book was so hot I thought my kindle was on fire. I don't know how Nicholas is going to top this. But with his incredible imagination I'm sure he'll surprise us.
This book has some hot and steamy sex between Deacon and Elijah also between Theoden and Tylendel's hot tongue. And of course our boys never let us down.
The challenge Elijah wanted of course went in Deacons favor. Elijah has been beaten and humiliated. Elijah finally submitted to Deacon. Their mating ritual would begin. So goes the bond between them.
Theoden. Now that's a whole new story in its self. Theoden was determined he was going to break Dante. He just needed to find his weakness. Never has any of Theoden's sons ever tried to kill him except for Dante. Dante has learned his lesson on that one. I don't think he'll try that again. Theoden has more plans for Dante. His punishments were harsh, gruesome, appalling, erotic and brutal. Talk about pain. Noel gave Theoden a hard time but Dante has him beat by along shot. All the punishments Dante went through made me shiver. Time and time again. Theoden has finally found his weakness.
Noel still in training with Marco. Still not going very well. Noel still gets beaten to a pulp. He has earned Marcos respect though. That's progress.
This book is darker than all of his other books. Nicholas takes you to a whole new place you didn't even know you were needing to go to. Once there you're not coming back. This book is not for the faint of heart. Dark doesn't even begin to describe this book. Again Nicholas has given us suspense, originality and his awesome imagination. A must read. 5 stars from me. Can't wait for the next book. Manipulation.

What an amazing author, I am very glad to have grabbed the first book Embraced way back when. What a ride it has been now a third series just amazing. At first a new author, now he seems an old hat that has found his groove and writes what he feels and enjoys.
There isn't a character in this story line I don't like, Theoden will forever be my favorite. But wow didn't Deacon flex what fate gave him. (smiles) as a Alpha he showed the utmost patience with his stubborn male. Ah but Dante puts a whole new meaning to the word stubborn. Yikes!! and both Master and Alpha had no problem showing them why they carry the titles they do. The power struggle and exchange was hella intense, grins and Donovan his personality is just an added bonus to Dante's attitude adjustment.
Reading some of the scenes had me cringing or course I had reread them over, going really Theoden..oh damn...just a Master at delivering pain, finding out just what it takes to get what he wants. Then I was very surprised that Dante still sucked in air, Theoden made him wish he didnt, but.. damn... Even the Master had to think was he being just stupid or stubborn. Would he just continue to beat and make him bleed or is their a breaking point?
Deacon has the same problem different reason, the determination is no less than that of Theodens, maybe more so when one meets a fated mate. A Challenge accepted and lost...now honor bound to be have and conform, thought still Elijah needs a bit of reminding.
Again yes I recommend it as a intense, dark rawr read. You've been warned, so many of us loving it and thirst for more. Its not a stand alone so start at the beginning. Thank you Nicholas.

This new season is getting dark. I love the path this serial is going on. There are no books out there that take the paranormal world to as edgy a place as the world these characters live in. And i love that Deacon's voice has been included as well. These sexy vampires, wolves, and dragons suck you in and devour you. They take you to a place you didn't even know you were craving to go to. Nicholas Bella has taken sexiness and darkness and blended them into the perfect mix where your darkest visions come to light. Now with the treaty between Deacon and Theoden, their world just got interesting.
Deacon is focused on claiming Elijah as his mate, but Elijah is not going along willingly. He is struggling with the differences between his human life and his new world as the alpha's supposed mate. He doesn't want to admit how much the claiming is turning him on. Noel is getting his tail handed to him by Marco, but he is beginning to earn Marco's respect. Theoden has his hands full with Dante, who is pulling out the stops to deny his submission. If you thought Noel had gotten punished harshly, hang on to your seat. Dante is going to be paying dearly for trying to resist.

The Best Episode EVER!
I was nearly vibrating on the spot for excitement when I finally got my copy of this marvelous book. Deacon is ready to Claim his made and take what is to be meant his. Elijah isn't that convinced and fights against his new Alpha and tries to resist his mate and their bond...will he succeed? To see them together and and Deacon being all Alpha to get what he wants is awesome and sexy as hell. I hope to see more of them both in future installments.
With Theoden trying to tame and break Dante Nicholas reached a new peak and level in everything that ever has been in this series before!!! Dante is a damn new challenge for Theoden he hadn't had with one of his sons ever. None of them was brave or stupid enough to try to kill their maker and father! But Theoden knows how to get even a stubborn wolf to his knees to lick his boots...reading this, well, I never had whispered and yelled "F#ck" that often while reading!! Just thinking about some Special treatment, makes me shiver. And meeting our beloved Tylendel again, yay, I grinned and was happy that he once more had a sexy appearence within this Episode. I missed him a little bit.

This story only gets better and hotter as the season unfolds. While Deacon is getting ready to claim his mate, Theoden is ready to take over the city and breaking his newest "son" and Noel has totally embraced his new "life". There is so much hot and steamy sex the pages just melt. I love a good raunchy sexy book that has a plot and oh boy does this book have a plot, and treachery is there too. I love this series and impatiently wait for each one. I'm so glad I get to beta read for such an awesome author. 5 hot dripping fangs.

I'm loving getting to read noel, Theo, and Deacon's story. The stories get better and better. The shower scene with Noel and Donovan was hot. It's torture reading about Dante, so much pain. I feel bad for him but he will make a great warrior. I love Elijah and can't wait to read more. I'm curious to hear more about Josef.

This book was mostly about Deacon and Elijah. There was a little about Noel and some about Dante and Theoden. There's plenty of sex and some nasty kinky sex but no real action or intrigue.
