Born on a bayou, Angelique Anjou’s roots are cajun, but she makes her home now in the foothills of the Smokies, where she lives with her husband and son. As a late blooming Trekkie, science fiction and fantasy are the tales she cut her teeth on, and the genres, next to romance, that are most dear to her heart.
Pleasure Master by Angelique Anjou - 2 stars Anjou also writes as O'Connor in her "Space Alien Sex" guise, and this one is right up her alley. Medical science officer Anya encounters a weird alien artifact at a newly completed space station. The strange sarcophagus houses the remains of an alien life-form that mentally links with the females of the space station for some strange hanky-panky. Not sure I really liked this one.
Debt of Honor by Elizabeth Batten-Carew - 2 stars Here's a strange little contemporary romance number, about a Canadian travelling overseas who's accused by the local sultan of somehow kidnapping a young native female, and must serve in his harem as punishment. If you're into belly dancing and ménage, this one's for you. Otherwise, pass.
Contact by Jaycee Clark - 3 stars Big city cop and a small town computer gal rekindle an old flame in this romantic suspense story of serial killing over the internet. Not bad at all.
Prince of Desire (Royal Chronicles, #1) by Donna Grant - 3 stars Donna Grant writes beautiful historical paranormal romances with a fairy tale quality to them, and this one is no exception. It's one of her very early pieces, and sure to please fans of her magical highlanders.
Mating Behavior by Mandy M. Roth - 3 stars Roth's paranormal offering matches a were with a black witch - best friends forever, but hiding their supernatural halves from each other. Each thinks the other is human. Events conspire to bring everything out in the open at the end. A decent short.
