NY Times bestselling authors Ashley and JaQuavis follow-up their smash hit "Carter Diamond". This short story picks up right where last installment ended. The action packed, street tale, tells the story of the man who started it all. Before The cartel...he stood alone. Welcome to Carter Diamond part 2.

Poor Tonya. I like both her and Tyran, if I had to choose who I like better I couldn't do it. Also this book has the return of the "love box", every time I hear that I can't help but giggle.
The way Carter switched up on Tonya had me HOT!!! But n*ggas gonna be n*ggas SMHHHH! I guess him & Taryn DID have a connection lol Los being Matee’s brother 😳 I like all of the backstory we are getting. Makes me want to reread the whole series over again!
WOW! It was just about to go down. Does anybody know when the full novel will be coming out? I hated what happen to Tonya, and I can't help to wonder how Carter will handle her running off with all his money, or will he just let it slide? After all she is carrying his seed. I know that Tyran was a minor and that Carter was risking a lot by messing with her, but you could just tell that they were meant to be. Poor Breeze! I was happy to see what happen to Laso, but I hate that Carter didnt get the opportunity to avenge Sam's death. I'm glad Polo was there to hold him down, because Ma'ta is working with some loose screws. Overall, the story was great, and I'm feeling the Carter Diamond story. There were still a few editing issues, which caused the 5 star story to receive 4 stars. At times, I felt like I was reading a rough draft, but the story still flowed well.
Loved the book...Hate how Carter treated Tonya...I don't blame her for taking the money. She was holding him down when he had nothing and then when he started to make dough, he got with the next chick...So wrong...I'm way too involved in this book...LOL
I enjoyed this book. This book did not disappoint at all. This book held my attention. I loved Carter and Tyran relationship. I'm glad things didn't work out with Carter and Tonya she seem very messy to me.
I own this entire series and it’s been at least 10 years since I’ve read it. I decided to listen to it this time around and I’m reminding once again why Carter Diamond is OG Book Bae !
Book 2 picks up where part 1 left off. Estes is grieving and he wants the world to pay so he sends a brutal and gruesome reminder to the streets to not mess with his family. However there's a snake lurking and Carter aims to settle a score by cutting grass to reveal them. But when a plan to avenge a death goes wrong, it puts a menacing figure into his sights that will cause problems for generations to come. Add into that equation a love triangle of past and future and we got an interesting read.
I gave it a 4.25. I liked the direction in which the plot is moving; in true A&J fashion. The characters make the book interesting and I like the way the past is meeting up to the future. I also like how it gives insight into the Cartel books as to why things may have happened the way it happened. But the errors, please who is the editor? Is there an editor? Please, get a new one..For a short and based on who the authors are, there shouldn't be all these mistakes. It takes away from the reading experience when there are a lot. Other than that good short read.
Carter Diamond 2 by Ashley & JaQuavis was a good and interest book to read. I enjoyed reading this book because it’s always on the point, well- written and well characters. Both of authors did a good job.
Like: I could related to Carter Diamond. Carter Diamond is a business and focus man because he knew who he could trust with or not in this business. He could tell who is phony or not. It’s nice to get know who is Carter Diamond before The Cartel Series.
Dislike: Carter Diamond is not honest person in this book.
So far, this book is really good and I enjoyed reading this book. This book and authors deserve a five stars. I’m looking forward to read more about Carter Diamond before The Cartel Series.
It's getting good now. I've already read Cartel part one so I already know Matee and he's crazy. Taryn or Tonya? Carter is busy. I like them both. One thing I like is nothing gets in the way of his money. I'm still getting unanswered questions told here. I see it's about to blow up soon. Looking forward to reading the next part.
OKAY, I GUESS TONYA FELT THAT 'I'LL JUST HELP MYSELF TO HIS DOUGH BECAUSE I GOT A KID ON THE WAY & KIDS COST A LOT OF MONEY TO RAISE ALONE! WHY PUT THE COST BURDEN OF RAISING MY KID ON THE GOVERNMENT WHEN I CAN JUST TAKE WHAT I'LL NEED RIGHT HERE FROM THE ACTIN' BRAND NEW A** N*GGA 'WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR THE KID I'M CARRYING?!' AND FOR THAT, I CAN'T BE MAD AT HER FOR! I ONLY FEEL BADLY THAT YOUNG CARTER JONES MISSED OUT ON MEETING & KNOWING HIS DAD, WHO HE'D INHERITED HIS DIAMOND KINGDOM FROM. I PLACE THE BLAME SQUARELY AT THE FEET OF SELFISH, MONEY-HUNGRY CARTER DIAMOND & HIS SPOILED SIMPLE-MINDED WIFE TARYN.
Great story ..I wish I would have read carter Diamond story first then the cartels series but reading this story now puts a lot of pieces to the puzzle ... I definitely understand Ma’tee effectuation with hurting Carter’s kids in the cartel series now him and carter had beef which just so happened to last for many years smh big carter was a gangsta I see where his sons got it from their dad was a gangsta and a hustler and so was their mothers dad (not lil Carter’s mom)over all a great short story and a page turner
I know that Carter trusts Polo and Tonya, but all of that hurt that he caused Tonya is going to make her do some shit that puts everybody in danger Im honestly torn between Taryn and Tonya too, cause this is a lot going on! 😂 Carter Diamond young ass is nothing BUT trouble!!!! The sneaking around between Carter and Taryn had me scared too….at any point I just KNEW Estes ass was about to walk in. 😂😂😂 OMG!!!!! Matee, killed Breeze‼️ WTF 😳 I KNEW Tonya wasn’t leaving empty handed. He don’t even know she’s pregnant 5⭐️
Book 2 continues where it left off. Carter's come up has begun with Estes the Miami connect. Now we begin to see people blaming him for things that happen. Not just drug battles, but there are 2 women that has his heart. One from his past shows up to claim her man and one in his future who is determine to come out on the winning end for her future. Going for book 3 to find out what will happen next.
Javier paid for his role in Sam Estes's death. Carter paid for his deception to Karen. Loco planned to entrap Carter in the killing of Sam Estes. Carter had other plans. Neither one succeeded. Tanya, Carter’s girlfriend from Flynt, enters the picture, and she’s no one to play with or play on. Carter’s relationship with Karen was on the rocks. He was moving quickly on Miami and his business was growing by leaps and bounds. Building a relationship with Emilio Estes was the priority.
After Sammie's death, Carter had developed a relationship with Estes and his Taryn. He forgot about one thing…his girlfriend back home, Tonya. It all comes crashing down when she suddenly appears at his door.
This short story was very drama-filled and I enjoyed every minute of it. More of my questions from the Cartel series were answered here, so I give it 💎💎💎💎💎 and highly recommend it.
Lovely book ..............................................1236997224563:(. Ftgvvcgvvvvvvvvvvvllllllllnggfrvxxhb gvvgh hbvgg hbvf. Hgcxc ggvggh. Gov. Cv by. He. Gov have bjhc. Juggling bjhv. Buggy. Hubby bh. I wish the stupid ass shit did not make me have to write 18 words cause I don’t need 18 words to explain this fucking book it was good that’s it
I must say, I didn't like the fact that it was so short but it is a short story.... I am however loving the fact that it's now going back and shedding light on the read that were created in the beginning. With Carter Diamond dying before you could really meet him, it's nice to get this information/ background on both him and Tyran.
I'm not gonna lie, at first was a bit skeptical of this book as I read, however, I am now glad that I read Part 2. So we have a traitor, a love triangle that comes full circle, Carter finally coming up, a huge secret, and some street s**t popping off. Honeyyyyyy Lol!!
Again, short, sweet, and to the point. If you read The Cartel you already know what happens. I won't spoil it for those who have not. I haven't finished the series, so I'm only judging you a little if you never read them. But I like the fact that we're seeing what happened before that fateful day in the courthouse that lead to little Carter running shit for a man he did not know.
Drama, Drama, Drama!!! This book has so much drama! Carter seems like a stand up dude when it comes to his business. But he has crossed his old girl with the new girl and the old girl really did him dirty. I wonder what he’s gonna do about that. Listen love don’t mean a thing when you’re messing with someone’s livelihood and old girl has done the ultimate cross. Looking forward to book 3!
Loving the Tonya Taryrn saga.. Anticipating Carters reaction and how he handle Tonya after the jack move. Exciting exciting exciting characters coming to life that were mentioned but never got history on... next
So happy to finally read this prequel. Looked the cartel series. Although there is still some heart ache and unanswered questions. Super excited to read part 3.
I have fell in love with Carter Diamond and the chess moves he's making. My only problem is when a woman is scorned she is very dangerous. This is only the beginning and the writer is setting our appetite for more.
