Hailey Conner has been driving Ty Bennett crazy for years. And vice versa. It’s kind of their thing. But Ty is ready to make their thing into something more. And he’s moved in next door to make it happen.
But is he *really* ready?
Ty loves the confident, sassy, sexy mayor’s Ice Queen act...because he loves making her melt. But he soon finds there’s more underneath all that frostiness. And things are about to come to a full boil...
Erin Nicholas is the New York Times bestselling author of over sixty sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun.
She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!).
In this latest story from Sapphire Falls, Hailey has met her match in Ty. As the Mayor, she's got a lot of responsibilities, and she's had a secret relationship with Ty while he was in Denver that made it easy for her to let her cares go when she was with him. But now he's moved back to town, and it's going to ruin everything. Because he's going to find out that she's not really his dream girl after all - will this mean the end of their sexy interludes, or the start of a real and long lasting relationship between them?
I love visiting Sapphire Falls and this latest story, though easily read as a standalone, has been building since the first one of the series. The antagonism between Hailey and Ty is something familiar to their friends and family and they've always gotten a kick out of fighting with each other. When it led to a heated affair between them, they decided to keep it a secret. What was interesting about this story to me was how Tyler's character is revealed to be not so perfect after all. He's a bit on the selfish side, and it's only in realizing how what he's doing will affect Hailey's future does he come to realize this and try to find a way to fix it. I liked that he was willing to accept that his strengths could be considered flaws too, and want to become a better man for Hailey.
Hailey's character was equally interesting as this self assured, confident woman on the outside who really has a mess of emotions inside her that she's become adept at masking. When she's with Ty she gets to let go and let him take control - which makes for great lovemaking but not so great real communication. They've both made mistakes and are at fault for not being honest with each other about what they want from their relationship. They both need to change if they are going to end up happy together.
As usual we get some great cameos from the other people who live in Sapphire Falls, in particular the Bennett family brothers and parents and their partners. This leads to a combination of emotional and laugh out loud funny scenes and is part of what makes a visit to Sapphire Falls so enjoyable. This story has a good mix of laughter, sex, and emotional moments. It was lovely to see Hailey and Ty get their happy ever after. 4.5 stars.
I can't recommend Erin Nicholas's Sapphire Falls series enough. The families, friends and community she has created make for such a fun read. I know I feel like I'm right in the middle of the story laughing with my friends every time and GETTING OVER IT was no exception. I have wanted to know more about Hailey Conner since book one and the elusive Tyler Bennett, the only Bennett brother not to stay in Sapphire Falls. Turns out the two most mysterious people from Sapphire Falls have been having a secret affair for years. But Ty's ready for the secret to come out... he just doesn't realize all the secrets he'll be bringing when he does.
I loved Ty and Hailey together! They were perfect for each other, both having some very specific needs the other was more than ready to fulfill. Hailey desperately needed to be adored and put on a pedestal; Ty could only be satisfied with the very best, the "Gold" in everything he did. It worked out well that Ty realized at fifteen Hailey was the best, his dream girl, and she became a challenge he never gave up on even when he left Sapphire Falls behind. They had some tough issues to work through as a couple, but as usual Ms. Nicholas tells their story with plenty of help from their friends and family in Sapphire Falls. As a matter of fact my favorite scene was when Ty approaches Travis for a "private" advice on women... and the whole family joins in. It was so easy to picture in my head. Of course, there was also plenty of steamy private time for Hailey and Ty which was balanced out by witty dialogue, a wonderful storyline and characters it's impossible not to love. 4.5 stars

**Reviewers note: This is a review for both Getting To Her and Getting Over It. Getting To Her was a preqeul of sorts to Getting Over It; it gave the reader insight into the crazy, mixed-up relationship of the couple in these two stories.
From the start of Erin Nicholas Sapphire Falls series I've been hooked; I love this town and its residents and I love how despite being all up in each other's business they do it out of love and respect. In the first book I didn't like Hailey Conner very much bust she softened over the series and I didn't know Tyler (Ty) Bennett very well because he just came in and out of town at random times as he lived and trained in Denver, but I suspected there was something between these two, I just had no idea how long it had been going on or how much it meant to both of them. Hailey and Ty's story isn't an easy one; it is messy and complicated more so because while these two have "known" each other for most of their lives they don't really "know" each other and that my friends is what throws these two into a total tailspin of epic proportions. I loved these books because both Hailey and Ty had to do some soul searching and not only had to admit their shortcomings but own up to them in a big way but I also loved these books because they found out that despite how well they thought they were keeping their secrets their true friends and family saw right through them and loved them anyway. There was lots of love going on in Getting to Her and Getting Over It and it wasn't all just romantic love and while that was important; it was more important that these two people figured out they didn't have to be perfect to be loved they just had to be themselves.
Ty Bennett has wanted Hailey Conner since he was 14 years old but Hailey was older, cooler, smarter, and more sophisticated but Ty could see that Hailey liked his attention even if she acted like it bothered her so Ty never gave up. In some ways Ty was an ass, not going to lie; he dated and bedded women so he could be good at it when he finally got a shot at Hailey. Being the baby of the family Ty was a bit spoiled and self centered and always liked to win on his own, no team sports for him because he wanted to shine. I get that, he had three older brothers that overshadowed him in a lot of respects so Ty has some major flaws but I cannot discount the way he felt about Hailey. The way he saw her as the perfect person she made herself out to be. Hailey is not without her own issues, growing up with a step-mother who belittled her constantly for every little flaw in her character Hailey invented the perfect image of her and that is the one she showed the world; the one everyone sees and the one image that takes her considerable effort every day to maintain. She is far from perfect but she has always loved the Ty saw her as perfect so when they long distance arrangement comes crashing down these two both have to face the fact that they've led very superficial lives in their affair with one another for the last 3 1/2 years.
It was hard watching these two try and figure out that being together in the same town 24/7 was not going to be easy because neither one really had any clue how to be what the other needed fulltime and that the other one would see their true and real life selves. To say Hailey was panicked about Ty seeing she wasn't the perfect woman was putting it mildly and Ty being at loose ends in regards to his career as a tri-athlete and moving beyond made him worry if he was enough for her. I have to give two huge thumbs up to Mama Bennett, Kathy, for not only helping her son see the light but in giving Hailey the love and motherly support she had always craved and needed. That being said, both these characters had to do a lot of soul searching, admit their shortcomings and the hardest part ask for help in order to move forward with a relationship they both so desperately wanted together. Sexually these two were perfectly matched and they enjoyed each other completely and fully they just had to work on the rest of their lives to figure out how to be together long term.
Engaging, exciting, and tremendously sexy Erin Nicholas did not disappoint in either Getting To Her or Getting Over It and announcing that this series will continue made me one happy reader. If you haven't discovered this series yet, I invite you to take a chance on it the first book Getting Out of Hand is free and I don't think you will be disappointed.
And to Erin I say...it's time for Hailey to find that the Color Notes app for her phone works awesome in a pinch from one lover of Post it Notes to another.
These two go all the way back to when he was a sophmore and she was a senior in high school. He knew what he wanted at 15 and he knows what he wants at 30. I thought I knew the basics of what their story was going to be like but I was so wrong. It was way better! Hailey was so much more than I ever expected. She's not the perfect, bitchy Mayor of Sapphire Falls. There are hidden depths and imperfections to her that came as a complete surprise. The attraction between Tyler and Hailey was crazy HOT! Their arrangement was perfect. For 3 1/2 years she made weekend getaways to Colorado where he lived and was in charge of everything while she was there and nobody knew of their relationship. It was perfect until he wanted more. His life took a turn that he wasn't expecting. All those future plans he had were no longer in the future, they were going to happen now. He started putting things into motion but never bothered to discuss them with her. He thought all these years no one knew his Hailey better than he did. He was wrong. When he found out what she'd been hiding all these years, he wondered if she was ever going to reveal these things to him? Trust him with her truths? Did he ever really know her?
This is a MUST read! There was so much more happening between them but I need to leave something for you to read for yourself. A perfect small town romance with a deeper, more intense story line than you would expect. I loved it! I can't wait for my next visit to Sapphire Falls.
Received a copy in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.
Finally Hailey and Ty's story and it is exceptional!! In this book we really get to know both of these characters and the many layers to both of them are slowly pulled back. Hailey is known as the ice queen and she's fine with that. It makes it easier to keep people away and her secrets safe. Ty is the town golden boy. Olympic athlete, outgoing, great family are just a few of the things he has going for him but does anyone really know the real Ty?? After an injury has him sidelined he moves back to Sapphire Falls to plan the next phase of his life and he fully intends to have Hailey as part of it. Convincing her might prove to be a bit difficult though!!
This is one you don't want to miss! I highly recommend it.
Just like every other Sapphire Falls fan, I've been waiting for what seems like forever for Ty and Hailey's story!! And let me just say, I was definitely not disappointed! Throughout the series we've had hints of a relationship between the two but we never knew for sure the details until now. In Getting Over It we get to learn all the details about Ty and Hailey and what makes them tick. I will say my guesses we wrong! Things didn't happen like I thought they would. lol They were even better! :) Erin Nicholas has once again made me laugh, cry and fall in love with this small town and it's residents!
Every time Erin Nicholas writes and releases a new Sapphire Falls book, I always say that it’s my new favorite. Well, that tradition won’t be stopping with the release of Getting Over It! Wow! Just WOW! I feel like every other Sapphire Falls book has lead up to this one. All of the banter, teasing, sexual chemistry, flirting and arguments between Ty and Hailey were like a serious form of foreplay just getting us ready for their story. And it was amazing! Totally worth the wait!!
Hailey Conner was (and still is) Sapphire Falls “it” girl. Beautiful, smart, classy, popular-even though she’s a little bitchy and the mayor. No one knew that she was hiding a secret. A secret so big in her eyes, that no one but a select few could know. Not even the man that rocked her world and drove her crazy. Ty Bennett was (and still is) Sapphire Falls claim to fame. With a silver medal in the Olympics, Ty had his eye on the gold prize, until an accident shifted his focus. Now his eye was on his NEW gold medal, Hailey Conner. Ty had wanted Hailey for years. Couldn’t think of a more perfect woman, in general and for him. Ty’s style has always been “Go big or go home” so that’s exactly what he’s going to do!
Ty and Hailey’s arrangement worked perfectly for Hailey. Him making the decisions, a good time, hot sex and some distance were the formula for the perfect relationship for her. He was never able to get close enough to realize that she was wasn’t as perfect as she liked everyone to believe. All of that changed when Ty moved in next door. He was going to get his girl. Plain and simple. Everything was always so easy in Denver. Why couldn’t it be that way at home in Sapphire Falls. It doesn’t take Ty long to realize that things aren’t always as they seem.
I couldn’t get enough of these two. Ty was obviously sexy, because every Erin guy is! But, he was also so cocky, laid back, driven and sweet. He was the perfect combination of everything in a man! And then we have Hailey. She very quickly became my very favorite woman in Sapphire Falls. Just when everyone had written her off as a hateful snob, we saw her many many layers underneath and she turned out to be an incredibly strong, vulnerable, fun, playful, misunderstood woman. Getting to know her was one of my very favorite parts of this book.
You’ll get friendship, love, bossiness, hotness up against a wall, more hotness in the bedroom, swoon-worthy moments, post its and brownies in this one!
If you don't know author Erin Nicholas and you are reading these reviews to see if you might want to read one of her books, the resounding response to that is YES YOU DO! do not walk, you must run and hit click now!
I was first introduced to this author's work with the Counting on love series and I have never EVER looked back.
There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing a new Erin Nicholas book release.
To say that I have been waiting patiently waiting for Hailey and Ty is lie, I have been so so impatiently waiting but you must not rush perfection. Am I gushing? Hell yes? I love the Town of Sapphire Falls, the residents, the stores, the festivals and the stories around every corner. Yes I know it is a fictional town ( my head knows that but my heart ah well another story)
As I said in my review of Getting to her,the prequel to this book ( no worries you dont need to read it first, but you should read it) I was so so shocked that I did not pick up on some pretty subtle cues that have been dropped in the past releases. The characters are so well developed and thoughtful, there is a lot of introspection in this series and in this book especially. Hailey is a strong female character who has led her town as mayor for years. Ty is the guy who has chased her for years, and well, he catches her but it is not all rainbows and unicorns (though quite honestly in Sapphire falls you never know what you could see at the festival if you drink a little booze) and their journey to find that elusive HEA is a LOT of fun! I love the Bennets but thank god there aren't any more sons.....my heart could not take it and my loyalties would be divided; having said that I am always happy to see them pop up in each other's stories and to see how everyone is doing.
If Erin Nicholas runs for office in Sapphire falls I am voting for her!
To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I have been intrigued by Ty and Hailey from their first interactions in this Sapphire Falls series. They generated so much spark and innuendos in the other books that you knew there was something going on between the two. Well I finally got my hands on their story. And it was amazing. The funny thing about this is that I thought for sure I would love Ty and have to really stretch my imagination to get to like Hailey. She always appeared short, kinda bossy, dominating and detached from everyone else. However, after reading this book I think I actually like her more than I do Ty. To get to know her and see where she comes from, my heart really went out to her. She was really human, with quirks, many insecurities and a big heart. I was very surprised by my reaction to her. Then there was Ty. Oh the man is very very sexy, very charming, very approachable, and very dominating. I did enjoy the way he pursued Hailey. He was very thorough.
But again in this book, like in TJ's book, one character really spoke to my heart. And that was Kathy, the Bennett Boys' sweet momma. The woman can just wrap your heart up and heal all your worries. I loved her role in this story both for her son and for Hailey. She is truly a remarkable woman.
I have loved and devoured this series, with its strong main characters who support one another, encourage and tease, love and keep in check.
Finally we get Madam Mayor Hailey and Ty's story!!! I have been waiting to watch these two in action since book 1 of the Sapphire Falls series. Hailey always seems to show animosity for Ty when ever he is around. Now we find out why! Erin Nicholas always brings humor and small town charm to her books but behind each of the stories are complicated individuals with real fears and insecurities. Getting Over it delves into what drives Hailey to be the Ice Queen of Sapphire Falls and what super star Triathlete Tyler (Ty) is striving for in his life. As I was reading I totally connected with Hailey and got to see the real side that the other books only glimpsed upon. I would love to have Hailey in my comer any-day. Ty is the baby of the family with no real responsibilities like his older brothers. I loved seeing more of his interactions with his brothers and their significant others in this book. Overall this is probably one of my favorites of the Sapphire Falls series. Erin Nicholas has also released a bonus novella that shows Ty and Hailey from the beginning in high school called Getting To Her. Getting To Her can be read before Getting Over it. But I enjoyed it as an after the fact story line as a peak back.
I absolutely LOVED this book!! I have been a huge Erin Nicholas fan since I purchased her first book, but this story...THIS story...WOW! Not only did I fall in love with the hero, but I truly felt a connection with the heroine. This was simply perfect! Ty, an alpha male who is also the baby of the family! I find that intriguing and sexy. Hailey, is a very complex character. She is strong, yet secretly not confident in herself. These two characteristics collide when it comes to Ty.
I love Erin Nicholas's writing. I cannot speak highly enough of Getting Over It. It includes her trademark humor and voice that makes me feel like I talking with friends. I definitely feel like I am citizen of Sapphire Falls and just one of the gang! Not only do I recommend this story, but I also recommend Getting to Her (Bonus companion novella for Getting Over It). It can be read before or after Getting Over It and just adds to an already amazing story. In addition, I recommend all of Erin Nicholas's books. She is simply outstanding!!
I have known that I wanted Hailey and Ty's stories from book 1, but didn't necessarily realize it would be the same book. I have loved every book in this Sapphire Falls series and hope that they do not end any time soon. In this book (and the just released novella) you learn that these two have had a history for years. Their purpose seems to be to drive each other crazy with actions and interactions. Their chemistry is off the charts! As much as Hailey tries to be aloof and come across as pulled together, nothing fazes her you soon realize she isn't that way at all. Ty wants to be the one who loves both sides of Hailey, no matter what she tries to put in the way. I also really enjoy catching up with all the others from the previous books in each of Erin's releases. If you haven't made the journey to Sapphire Falls yet, you need to find out what all the hype is about. Come join us!!
I am so moving to Sapphire Falls, I just love this group of friends. We finally get the story of the town mayor, Hallie and Ty. Hailey is known as the ice queen to many but Ty can make her melt very easily. What they have in private stays that way. They have a secret relationship, what stays in Denver stays in Denver, is what Hailey wants. Ty moves back home to Sapphire Falls, and is ready to go public with their relationship for his own reasons. They have both have secrets about themselves that they are not ready to share.
I loved everything about this book from the sexy banter between Hailey and Ty to the friendships in Sapphire Falls. Love brownies and of course the sticky notes. And of course Kathy's ever famous German chocolate cake.
I highly recommend this book by Erin Nicholas, it will leave you smiling for a long time. You to will want to move to Sapphire Falls.
I have been waiting for Ty and Hailey's story since Getting Worked Up and Erin did not disappoint me! I love all of the books in the Sapphire Falls series but Mason and Adrienne were my favorite couple. Ty and Hailey have knocked them out of 1st place.
You have gotten to know Hailey a little bit throughout the series but in Getting Over It you really get to know her and she is amazing! Ty is just HOT and did I say that he is hot?
"You make me me." She stopped as if stunned she'd admitted that, and pressed her lips together. ---I love that line! Don't we all want someone who makes you feel that way?
Erin is great at writing couples that you really root for and this book is the same way. Fans of Erin Nicholas will not be disappointed! I would definitely recommend this book. It can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the other books first.
I LOVED Ty and Hailey's story. They have been building towards their own happily ever after over the past several books. I loved seeing the backstory that was going on over the course of the other books. Ty has loved Hailey since high school. Hailey wasn't sure how she felt about Ty, but she knew she loved the attention he paid to her. What happens when he moves to Sapphire Falls full time and they make their relationship public? This book goes through all of the twists and turns leading up to their happy ending. I loved the interaction between all of the couple we've gotten to know over the past six books. The ending was a surprise, but a happy one! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
What a way to wrap the Bennett Boys stories! Getting Over It brings Ty and Hailey together FINALLY! Erin has been building up the tension between these two for the last 5 books and now we get to find out what it's all about.
Ty buys the house next door to Hailey, and she doesn't like it one little bit. They drive each other crazy...but in the best possible way. Ty wants to move his relationship with Hailey further and she doesn't think he'll love her if he sees her everyday and really gets to know her beyond the physical. Ty has been in love with Hailey since High School...he feels like he knows her, but does he really?
Grab your favorite beverage, snuggle up with this amazing book and fall in love with Ty and Hailey!
Anyone who has read the Sapphire Falls series has been anxiously waiting for Ty and Hailey's happily ever after....and it is one heck of a HEA!
Getting Over It, is full of bigger than life descriptions, which make the reader believe they are right in the center of Sapphire Falls. The characters are heartwarming and make my heart beat a little faster. No other series gives me small town living like this one!
Ty and Hailey....you can't see me right now, but I have a big grin on my face. Just thinking about those two makes me smile. Ty and Hailey definitely change things up in this book.
What happens when Ty realizes that his dream girl, isn't perfect? What happens when Hailey can't pretend anymore? Grab this book right now and immerse yourself in these characters.
Hailey and Ty give new meaning to the phrase 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'. Apparently, it make it grow hotter too. But when Ty moves back to his hometown of Sapphire Falls it's the closeness that threatens to pull them apart. Hailey and Ty have no shortage of issues to overcome. Getting Over It is and emotional, quirky, fun ride from beginning to end. Ms. Nicholas never fails to deliver real characters with real issues who find real solutions. It's never a smooth ride but it's the bumps in life that make it real. An excellent addition to a wonderful series.
Hailey & Ty.....Hailey & Ty.....Haley & Ty! FINALLY!!! I have been waiting since Book 1 to read their story. Such a true to life couple! What girl wouldn't want a guy to keep after her and be truly in love with her. Ty is the all-around AWESOME guy! Erin you have done it again! Hope Book 7 is not to long away!!!!!!! Keep up the great time in Sapphire Falls!!!
I LOVED Hailey and TY's story!!!! It was a sweet loved story blossomed over many years that was amazing to read about! I feel for Hailey as my always trying to seem perfect and together and amazing around people but at home being your normal self!! And Ty is a perfect Bennett and proves his love aver and above!!! A must read!!
I always love it when I read a book and learn factual information. Ty and Hailey dive into the world of romance with a dose of self doubt, AADHD, love, sex, and a little deception. Lucky for us, they get dig deep and find what works. Which makes for a wonderful, soulful read. I love this ENTIRE series. Sapphire Falls is an absolute gem!
Erin Nicholas continues to amaze me with her sexy, heartwarming and beautifully written stories in her Sapphire Falls series. I love the cast of characters in this series and how their lives intertwine with one another in this small town. Right from the beginning, Hailey Conner's bossy and aloof personality has readers curious to know what her "deal" is because she initially comes across as not a very likable character. However, we all know in the romance world, there's more than what you see on the surface. We also saw the undercurrents between her and Ty Bennett whenever they were in the same vicinity of each other so we really wanted to know their story so I devoured Getting Over It all in one sitting. This book can be read as a standalone but it is so much better if you've read all the other books first and get to know those fun loving characters.
There was definitely more to Hailey than the public persona she let the folks of Sapphire Falls see. I really enjoyed learning more about Hailey and the struggles she's had to overcome. I liked that the author let us see the real Hailey with her flaws and all behind her facade and that she showed more emotions. We got to see that she was not perfect; she relied on a gazillion sticky note pads to keep her organized and to remember things throughout her day. Underneath her tough exterior, she really cares deeply for those she considers her friends and they love her unconditionally and did not judge her.
Ty is the youngest of those sexy Bennett brothers and the one that can get under Hailey's skin like no other man. These two seriously were made for one another in the bedroom. I swooned over his dominant side as Hailey did, which is surprising since she is always so in control. They've had this secret affair for years and have an understanding of how things are when they are alone, but Ty wants to change that now that he's moved back home to Sapphire Falls. This has unnerved Hailey who does not like change. Ty and Hailey are far from perfect but their main issue is communication in their relationship. Both of them are hiding the most important parts of themselves from one another and when the truth comes out, Ty and Hailey have to accept each other's flaws and all.
I've said it again and again that I wished Sapphire Falls was a real town so I could visit. The author has made this fictional town and the folks who live there seem so real to me thanks to her storytelling. I loved that we finally got to read Ty and Hailey's story and it was so worth the wait.
Oh TY Bennett, you have officially stollen my heart!!
Getting Over It is the 6th book in Erin Nicholas' Sapphire Falls Series. Getting Over It's focus is on the youngest Bennett brother Ty, who is an olympic athlete born and raised in Sapphire Falls and the girl that's been driving him insane since his sophomore year in high school Hailey Conner. They have been hiding a secret for almost 4 years and their arrangement was working out perfectly for both of them! However Ty's come home and conveniently living right next to Hailey. While Ty and Hailey have been keeping their relationship a secret from everyone in Sapphire Falls, but they have also been keeping secrets from each other. The entire town pulls together to show these two that no matter what life has thrown at us in the past, there are people there for us, that will support us no matter what!
Ty is hands down my favorite Bennett brother! I have a thing for complete Alpha Males, with a real heart. His dominance comes from such a natural place that it never felt forced or awkward. I've read quite a few stories where the Sports Alpha Males have such a huge Ego you just want to smack them all the time, but Ty always made me want to strip for him! I really connected with Hailey as well. I can understand some of where she was coming from and why she acted the way she did. Some of the biggest personalities are those really hiding some of the biggest secrets.
I have been reading Erin's books for quite a few years now, and I love how her writing has evolved and grown in this time. All of her books are amazing but the town of Sapphire Falls has really drawn me in. Erin has a knack for creating characters that cling to your soul, and even more than that she's imagined this entire town that is such a big piece of the stories. Erin has made even this city girl want to move to a small town.
**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.**
"Getting Over It" is written by Erin Nicholas, and it is the 6th book in her Sapphire Falls series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Hailey Conner and Ty Bennett.
If you've read previous books in this series, you know Hailey and Ty drive each other crazy. They always bicker in each other's presence! And because of that, there's been so much anticipation with their story -- to see what finally makes them give in. I was ready for Hailey to meet her match!
Without giving too much away, in "Getting Over It," we learn the truth about Hailey and Ty's true relationship! Can what happens in Denver, just stay in Denver?
Because of circumstances, Ty moves back to Sapphire Falls as Hailey's neighbor without letting her know. Ty was charming and swoonworthy, but there were times when I wanted to yell at Hailey! Her insecurities, which stems from how her father and step-mother treated her, sometimes got the best of her.
Erin has a way with words, and what I enjoyed about this story is we saw how much Hailey and Ty needed each other. We saw their vulnerability as well as how hot and passionate their relationship can be. And of course, Sapphire Falls can't be mentioned without the presence and importance of family and friends. There were a lot of funny scenes! One scene in particular was when the Bennett brothers and their significant others were divided over an event that occurs about halfway through this book. It just made me laugh because Ty's thinking is if he has to suffer, at least his siblings are suffering as well!
I think any fans of Erin's will enjoy this book! In my opinion, she can do no wrong!
Disclaimer: I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. For us fans of the Sapphire Falls, this is the book we have been waiting for…. Ty and Hailey’s story. Hailey is the mayor of the town and comes across as a bossy and in control. Ty is the youngest of the Bennett brothers and is just as hot and sexy as his brothers. Whenever they were together, sparks flew The mayor is not who she appears to be.. underneath the power suits and façade of control, is a warm hearted loving woman who lacks self-confidence and belief in herself. She loves her little town and thrives on the position she holds as the mayor. Then there is Ty… who has always been driven and powerful and in control. He comes back to Sapphire Falls after an injury threatens his athletic career and that is when the fun begins. They have kept their intimate relationship a secret but now that Ty is living next door to her, Hailey’s well controlled and orderly life is crumbling around her. She is always in control except where Ty is concerned.. and Ty loves being the dominant one in the relationship. The sexual tension is thick enough to cut with a knife and when you add in a lively mayoral campaign , you have the basis for a great story… with brownies and post-it notes thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed this latest visit to Sapphire Falls and loved finally seeing Ty and Hailey confront their true feelings for each other. Take a trip to this wonderful town and spend some time with the Bennett boys the rest of the citizens of Sapphire Falls. You will be glad you did.
Another great story from our favorite Midwestern town, Sapphire Falls! This series MUST be read in order! This is book 6 in the series.
Hailey Connors and Tyler Bennett have always driven each other nuts.....or so everyone thought. Hailey Connors has always been Ty Bennett's Dream Girl. Since he was 15 it has been his goal to make Haliley his. Ty is the only person who has ever made Hailey feel special and wanted, she has always known he had her up on a pedestal as his perfect woman but she also knows that she is not perfect and is afraid of that fall. For the past three and a half years they have been maintaining a secret long distance relationship. In Denver where Ty lives and trains as an Olympic Triathlete, he is in charge and calls all the shots. Hailey gets a break from the demands of being a small town Mayor and Ty gets to be his in charge and dominating self. Back in Sapphire Falls they play by Hailey's rules which means Ty has to keep his hands to himself and Hailey plays the cool, commanding Queen Bee. It was the perfect arraignment..... Or so they thought. All that is about to change with the revelation of who moved in next to Hailey and why exactly Ty has been hanging out so much in Sapphire Falls.
I cannot wait for more stories from this amazing series! This book is suitable for adult readers only!
There is just not a high enough star rating for this book.
We have seen Ty and Hailey in the background of the other Sapphire Falls books, and have learned and fallen in love with the bantering and bickering between the two. It was quite the build up to what promised to be an awesome book, and Erin Nicholas didn't disappoint.
While Hailey is the guarded, bitch of the group, we finally get a heartbreaking explanation as to why she acts the way she does. I love her strong personality, and that sometimes she just can't seem to control herself around Ty. Ty is the fun, wild, carefree kinda guy, who goes about handling everything concerning Hailey completely the wrong way. (Don't get me wrong, his intentions are good, but in typical guy fashion he just doesn't understand haha). Both of them face issues in this book that will have you in tears, and at points you may want to smack Ty upside his head, but he definitely redeems himself.
Getting Over It sucked me in, put me on an emotional rollercoaster, and changed my entire opinion of Hailey and Ty. I was wondering if Erin Nicholas was going to be able to pull off this story, with the build up being as big as it was. She not only nailed it, but went above and beyond anything I could've imagined with this book.
I highly recommend this story to anyone looking for a phenomenal contemporary romance
Where to start where to start... another fantastic book by Erin! I am so happy that I took the opportunity to check out her Sapphire Falls books a few months ago. Every one is so well written, relatable, funny, quirky, and gets you completely hooked from beginning to end!
Getting Over It finally brings us the story of Hailey and Ty. Throughout the series we get snippets of these two, but we never really get to see WHY they act the way they do around each other. They have a history that not many people know about, and it is great to see how they've been resisting one another for so long.
Hailey is the town Mayor and has total control over everything in her life, or so it seems, but when Ty decides to move in next door, all of her well-laid plans go right out the door! Every time they get together, things inevitably heat up, and it is so great to see how they interact and affect each other. This entire store sucked me in and had me laughing, crying, fanning my face, and cheering these two on the entire time. I am horrible explaining details of the book, but you can read above and get those from the description. Pick up the book, buy it NOW, you will NOT regret it!
**I received an early copy in exchange for an honest review**
I have waited impatiently for the release of Getting Over It! I finally received a copy and let me just say you need to read this book! To date this is Erin Nicholas' best book yet. She writes with pure talent and love for each character that they truly come to life. Before you hit the second page you are sucked right into the small town of Sapphire Falls where you are one of the gang. You fall in love, you laugh, hang out and participate in town events. in Getting Over It Hailey finally opens up and shows her true self not only to her boyfriend Ty but to her friends and the town. you realize while reading about Hailey that there is a little bit of Hailey Conner in us all. The imperfections she hides with her tougher outer shell are what makes her Hailey Conner and the very reasons Ty Bennet has loves her! This highly anticipated book is a must read! You need to one click it and bump it to the top of your TBR list! You will jot be disappointed at all!!!!!!!!!! Nor will you look at post it notes the same way again!
I loved this new book! Of course, Ty and Hailey's story is sweet, sexy and funny-but my favorite part of this book really isn't about them. Two scenes in this book stand out for me and really show off what Erin Nicholas does best! The firsts (because there are multiples and without giving away spoilers) is any scene with mom of the year Kathy Bennett. Erin continues to make me love the mom of this group, great advice, great humor and great love for the other characters are delivered through this wonderful mom! Secondly, there's a scene about halfway through where Ty asks his brothers (one in particular) for help with a woman. This is probably my favorite scene of any Erin Nicholas book, and I have read and loved them all! All the brothers react in ways so true to their character! I could vividly picture being on the porch with them! She also makes Hailey loveable, which I thought would be hard, but it's what she is best at! Home Run all around!
