3.5/5. The book is quite good in terms of covering the history of the world but there were 2 things that bothered me :

1. There's hardly any coverage of India although the attempt to control India has played such a significant role in relations among European countries especially in the 18th and 19th century.

2. It's too brief in certain parts.
