Thoroughly enjoyable. Great combination of combat action and political intrigue. The characters are believable, and you can root for them. Soldiers who are not superheroes but feel like real people with concerns and who feel the effects of combat and loss. Planetary politics that are understandable and feel real. Well worth your time.

Great book, great action

The protagonist from the first novel in the series, Tomas, continues his journey as a newly commissioned officer. He leads his group well and the action and plot are superb. Highly recommended!
