Jesse Tyler is the perfect mix of sweet prince and bad boy…

He is also my best friend—and I’m hopelessly in love with him.

Unfortunately he didn’t feel the same way about me, and to make matters worse, he moved away in the middle of our senior year, completely cutting me off.

Now after a few years (and did I mention a new guy?) I am hit with the biggest bombshell of all—Jesse is moving back to town!

I know I should be happy, but I can’t help but feel a bit nervous about our reunion, especially since I never once stopped loving him.

Will things be weird between us?

Will we struggle to reconnect?

But even more importantly…

Will he finally feel the same way about me?

Slow moving story

I like a book with a little suspenseful love story but this one was a little too drawn out for me.

S. Briones Lim has done it again! I gotta admit, I’m a sucker for friendship/romance type of books and believe me, this book didn’t let me down!!!

Two Outta Three tells the story of Raquel, Jesse and Stephanie, three friends from high school who were like the three musketeers. Two outta three of these friends stays in touch after high school while one outta three vanishes and doesn’t come back until years later.

Two Outta Three takes place after college in the same town these three individuals went to high school. Stephanie and Raquel (Rocky) remain BFFs while Jesse is forced to Charleston with his father. However, one day, Jesse comes back and begins to work with Rocky at her family’s store. How will their friendship be after all these years? Will it be awkward or will it be like the old times? It’s been years, will they even get along? To answer all these questions, read the darn book! You won’t be disappointed! I’m not ruining it for you!

But let me say this, Jesse is my new book boyfriend. I have a thing for bad boy, trouble makers who has a heart of gold. While it seems like he has not changed since high school, you can tell there is more that meets the eye when it comes to him. Yes, I was pissed he didn’t keep in touch with Rocky and Stephanie throughout the years but I’m sure he has his reasons. And the best part about him? His humor…boy is he hilarious!

Rocky is the main character of this novel and is the one who was hurt by Jesse’s disappearance. While Stephanie is her BFF, there was something different about her and Jesse’s friendship. I loved seeing how she grew throughout the novel but also loved getting glimpse into their past. And Stephanie is hilarious as well! I want a BFF like her!

Overall, great novel and I couldn’t put it down! I hope there will be more about Jesse in the future! A++ and 5 amazing starts!

Three best friends, one small town, and a history together. Rocky was best friends with Stephanie and Jesse in high school. She also was in love with Jesse. That is until he moved away and left a promise unfulfilled.

Rocky's life isn't anything exciting, but she's content. Jesse left five years ago and she moved on working for her parents. The day he walks back into her life to work at her family's business everything changes. The feelings she buried resurface, but she's dating someone else and is convinced Jesse doesn't see her that way.

Jesse has secrets, many of them. Ones that he waits until the right time to reveal to her. Stephanie knows all along there is more to the friendship between Rocky and Jesse. Old friends, love, trust, and fear of history repeating itself all come together in this sweet romance.

This story was really good. Fast paced with enough twists to have you flipping the pages wanting to read what happens next. I fell in love with Jesse and was happy with the way the story ended. S. Briones Lim is one of my favorite authors and this book doesn't disappoint.

Book received in exchange for an honest review.

Love is worth the wait

Losing that V-card to a person whom you loved the most is so precious. Jesse and Rocky romance is so sweet. It will drive you crazy. LOVE is worth the wait between these two highschool Bff's.

Though the story is slow, it is fun to read too. I laugh out so loud. It gives you the sweetest smile but at the same time you want to smack Jesse and Rocky. These two are playing hard to get. Thank you to their other Bff Stephanie fo guiding these two love birds. There is also a love triangle and parents disapproval which is typical for a young relationships. I am so happy that finally Rocky decided what is best for her and Jesse.

I cannot wait to read this young author's other book. I LOVED her writing. I highly recommend this book if you love to read young adult romance.

Sweet

A sweet story about list love found again. Enjoyed getting to know the characters. Sometimes the people we know the best are people we don't really "see" all they're keeping hidden inside out of fear of rejection.

Two Outta Three is a standalone book by S. Briones Lim. Again, another solid book by this author with a great storyline that had me hooked from beginning to end. Love a great friends to lover book and this one was exactly that. The characters were well developed with lots a great chemistry. Loved this book and I would highly recommend.

Nice, easy contemporary read.
I really liked Rocky as the main character. She felt like a real person, strong and no-nonsense but not without her insecurities. I could relate really well to her situation and anxiety issues.
Nothing revolutionary, just a good romance/coming of age novel.
Would recommend to anybody in a reading slump; this helped me out of one :)
