I DO REVIEWS! Got a speculative fiction(horror, fantasy, sci-fi) story in dire need of a review? Hook me up fam, smack that "send message" button with your chicken wing and let me know how I can help. But be warned, I am truly honest.

Bonus points if it's a collection/anthology.

___________________________________________
Being a kid who never grew up, Erwin Blackthorn is a spaz who has the special ability to think of a million things and do nothing at the same time. Ever since he was a child, he was always fascinated with cartoons and video games, growing to enjoy making his own stories ever since he learned how to put a complete sentence together(which was around the time he reached high school).

Able to make half of the world laugh and the other half yell in anger, his reckless ways can be found all over the internet, at least in the deep web. Whether you know him from his dealing with creepypastas, or his horrible youtube channel, seeing him in action once will make him stay on your mind until the day you die.

He lives in a basement, never sees the light of day, and some people even say he doesn't exist. Others think he's an Ale-um from outside space. But no matter what the rumors tell, his sphere of influences brings joy to people who listen to his young-old-man advice and endless hatred from those who don't.

His writing is mostly in the style of long running series that have been described as "picture-less comic books", or one of the many short story collections he has lined up but never get to making.

As of now, he is focusing on horror. However, in the near future, he will fill up more genres likes Steampunk, Sword & Sorcery, Urban Fantasy, Space Operas, Cyberpunk, and pretty much anything with Sci-fi and Fantasy.

This book is a fast read. It's filled with a crazy world where nightmares are real and must be fought. Students are taught to fight these things. When the Oneiro Academy faces an attack a small group of students and one teacher is left to fight.

This book was a bit different. I'd explain it as a fantasy world where nightmares are real and can attack people. It wasn't a bad and actually had a decent amount of action towards the middle and end and it was written well.  Yet, at the same time this world is very different and in my opinion isn't explained much. It makes it a bit hard to fully grasp and was a bit confusing. I wish the prologue had included what world this is and a bit of background. But, if you like fantasy it may be just up your alley....Stormi

Oof, where to begin. Well the opening is really badly written. It's almost 20 pages of bad writing and that's almost a third of the entire book. After that it's just bad Harry Potter fan fiction with a sorting hat, dementors and a snape analogue. The prose isn't the worst I've ever read, but it's not very good either. All in all the writing isn't totally incompetent (hence the extra star) but you can read better HP knockoffs for free in a million other places.

This is a great story, if you start reading it on page 14. Seriously, the first 14 pages are complete horse shit. And it really pisses me off, considering that the whole book is only 70 goddamn pages. So that's 20% of the book completely wasted. Motherfucker. What a great way to get readers to throw this fucking thing in the trash from the very beginning, you fucking idiot of an author.

That being said, if you skip those first 14 pages, this is a very good story. I quite enjoyed it. It's about a bunch of kids attending an academy to train them to become Oneiro Rangers. Or wizards. Or something. Because it really reminded me of the Harry Potter books. With Dementors, a sorting machine, and even a Professor Snape for fuck's sake.

The story follows a few kids who survived an attack by a Nightterror (aka Dementor), which kidnapped the entire school. Only these few kids remain, along with their Professor Snape to guide them. Oh, and some mysterious Doctor who I can only assume is Professor Dumbledore, because he explains the whole mess to the kids and gives them the tools to defeat the Dementors.

It really is a great story, despite the fact that the cover looks like it was designed by a retarded 1st grader. I man, come on. The graphic is okay, but the text just looks... I dunno. Stupid, I guess. Amateur. But, whatever... It's still a great story, and I would highly recommend it. As long as you skip the first boring, useless, 14 pages.
