Mad scientist Frankenstein's Monster (only he's not much of a Monster this time) fights zealous Christians across time. It's pretty dumb, honestly, but the story's solid enough by these standards, there's more than a few characters that are reasonably fleshed-out and get into good conflict with one another and even experience growth, the action's decent, and the art is pretty great and fits the mood well.
Great art. If you're a fan of the Wachowski's you need to read this, but for my tastes it was a bit too over the top, and a bit too violent. Pretty close to 4 stars though. I do love Frankenstein projects and it's a good take. Worth your time and bucks.
I adore this comic book. It's everything that you'd want from a pulpy over the top adventure story - monsters, secret bases, epic flashbacks, gore splattered action and corny humor. The biggest problem is that it only lasted six issues and only four of them have been collected!
