It’s beginning to look a lot like off-limits…

Dallas Cooper has never cared if he’s on Santa’s naughty list. As one of the NHL’s most notorious playboys, he already has an endless list of adoring female fans.

But when his antics put him on thin ice with his coach, he’s given a final warning: clean up his act, or kiss his contract with the Cyclones goodbye.

Then he meets Caelin Torres, whose smart mouth and sassy smile make Dallas think he might’ve finally met his match…

Until he finds out she’s his coach’s daughter.

Pursuing Caelin would result in the ultimate penalty, so he tries to stay away—but when they end up planning his teammate’s holiday wedding together, their heated attraction soon gives way to a real, deep connection.

With his hockey career on the line and his team counting on him, Dallas will need a Christmas miracle to prove he’s earned a spot on the nice list and score his only shot at true love…

Get ready for heated banter, sneaking around, and a reformed playboy who yearns in this holiday hockey rom com. Merry Misconduct is a closed door/fade to black romance that includes moderate language, crude humor, and innuendo.

Another hockey romance by my queen Katie Bailey? I’m sold! I remember when I first read Katie’s books with The Roommate Situation in a 24 hour readathon vlog I filmed and it’s just so full circle years later still reading her books and getting arcs of them 🥲
This is reformed playboy and coach’s daughter and oh my goodness I ate it up! I love the whole Cyclone’s team and if she wants to write a book for each player I won’t stop her 🤪 this is the third in this series but you don’t have to read the other two to understand (although you should)
Also takes place during the holidays so a perfect Christmas read!!!! I just loved it!!!!!

Thank you to booked with the Emilys for the arc!!

I have read every book in this series, and love the chemistry and forbidden romance between Caelin and Dallas. Caelin and Dallas play the secret attraction then romance very well. Her dad cannot find out, because Dallas would get into so much trouble. He may even be traded. But here’s the thing Caelin is coach’s only daughter, and the apple of his eye. He only wants her to be happy. If Dallas makes her happy then what’s the big deal? But Dallas has been on thin ice with the coach and so he feels it’s only safe to be friends with the woman he dreams of, the one who he loves talking to, and the one he wants more than anything.
Things I loved about the book:
The Hispanic representation
The Christmas tree farm and the wedding
Dallas and Caelin getting to spend time together through the wedding planning on his family farm
Dallas is not perfect, but he is a genuinely good person
Caelin doesn’t have it all figured out, but she discovers her passion for event planning.
Love that Dallas loves spending time with his nephew and at the retirement community
Love that Dallas is closed to his family, and that he admits his father leaving still affects him to this day
If you love Christmas romance with friends that are family, a secret romance, sizzling hot chemistry, FMC planning her best friend’s wedding, father/daughter relationship, and great teammates, you will love this one. Katie books need to become a Christmas movie series.

Merry Misconduct by Katie Bailey comes out November 5, and oh my… it’s so incredibly special!

I found myself wanting to give Dallas a big hug while shaking sense into him in equal measure. The facade he continues to wear to feed into the persona people attributed to him, while he may find it easier to allow them to believe that’s who he really is, does nothing but bing him pain and add drama to his life.

Caelin is so strong, yet doubts herself so much. I lived her sass and loyalty to those she cared about, and while she may doubt herself and her abilities, she still knows her self worth.

I adored the way these two met, and my heart was definitely taken on an intense emotional roller coaster, right up until the end. I absolutely loved these two, and am still caught up in the beauty of their relationship. The way they chose each other, showed up for one another, and chose to believe in the strength of their relationship despite the obstacles and challenges in their way was a gift in and of itself. Do yourself a favor, and grab your copy to devour over the weekend!

As an fyi, this is a closed door book, but there are plenty of innuendos and there’s a fair amount of mild language.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

There's something about a MMC who is relentless in flirting that I absolutely cannot get enough of. There's just something about a character with that perfect amount of cockiness... while actually still being humble enough to not be obnoxious... that is just really fun to read. And we most certainly get that with Dallas and his (perhaps not wholly accurate) playboy reputation. And when you have a character like that that falls HARD for one woman!? Um, yes please! I love it. Dallas and Caelin together just had me smiling all throughout their story. The chemistry. The banter. The team dynamics. It was all just so perfectly done. And all the Christmas cheer on top of all that only made it that much better. If you love hockey romance and reformed playboys, this is certainly one to add to your holiday TBR.

Merry Misconduct is a closed-door romance with kisses only. However, while it goes no further, the kisses are a bit heated, and this one is definitely heavy on the innuendo as well and may push the line as far as what some closed-door readers prefer. There is also some moderate language throughout.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

ARC REVIEW 5⭐️

The banter. The tension. The CHEMISTRY!! I was completely obsessed with Caelin and Dallas from the very beginning!!

Dallas might have a reputation for being a playboy, but underneath it all, he’s the biggest golden retriever! The way this man goes above and beyond for his friends, teammates, family and especially Caelin is unreal! And I especially loved his sweet relationship with his nephew! 🥹

And Caelin! I loved her sass and watching her slowly discover herself and recognize her worth throughout the book. The way she challenged Dallas and their back-and-forth was EVERYTHING!! Their chemistry was undeniable, but watching their relationship grow into something so much deeper than physical attraction was beautiful.

A forbidden hockey romance, a reformed playboy who’s actually a total softie, the perfect amount of tension & banter, AND all the cozy Christmas vibes?!

Katie Bailey you absolutely sleighed this one! 🎄🏒💜

Thank you Katie Bailey & Booked with the Emilys for the gifted ARC! All opinions are my own.

This was the 3rd book in the series but I haven't read the first two and this book can be read as an interconnected standalone - however in saying this - I will definitely be reading the 1st two books in the series.
The story:
I am so in my hockey romance era and throw in a Christmas theme in there and I’m all in!! This book is about a reformed playboy, Dallas and the Coach’s daughter, Caelin - and I loved this book!!
What stuck with me:
From the first meeting I was hooked, the way Caelin just saw who Dallas really was and how he was this complete golden retriever! Swoon!!!
What surprised me:
The banter! The over-the-top groom and his shenanigans and the chemistry between Dallas and Caelin!!
What frustrated me:
Nothing! This book was utter perfection!
What I would tell another reader
I know there are a lot of Christmas holiday romance books out there now and only going to be more… But this closed door hockey romance… it’s a must read!!
Thank you Katie Bailey and BookedWithTheEmilys for this arc in return for an honest review!!

Katie Bailey blew this one out of the water yet again. I immediately fell for Dallas and Caelin, loved seeing playboy turned lovesick puppy.
After a chance encounter one night, Dallas then learns the girl he stayed up all night talking to was actually coach’s daughter, and opts to avoid her and get into any more hot water with his coach. Caelin, not hearing from the guy who promised to call, continues on another year long adventure around the world. But when their best friends start planning their Christmas wedding, Caelin and Dallas are thrown together again and can’t avoid the chemistry between them.
I loved seeing the other side to this playboy, a loving brother and uncle and a genuine family man.
This was the perfect end to the Cyclones stories and aside from Dallas and Caelin’s story, I loved the glimpses into the lives of the other hockey players. Katie has done it again, and I can’t wait to see what she has next in store for us.

Caelin and Dallas meet on a rooftop after escaping a party. After talking until morning, Caelin is pretty devastated when she doesn't hear from Dallas again. Dallas is absolutely gone for Caelin pretty much as soon as they meet but when he finds out she's the coach's daughter, he knows he can't pursue her because he's already on thin ice. A year later, Caelin's back for her best friend's Christmas wedding as the maid of honor and guess who happens to be the best man?

The banter between Caelin and Dallas is perfect. She does not let him get away with charming her and he secretly loves it. He doesn't give up (but in a respectful way), and she kind of loves it. Both of the characters grow and find ways to be their authentic selves. Dallas's dedication to making sure Caelin knows he's serious about her and who he really is was lovely to read. The other characters in the story were also really enjoyable, and often funny, as well.

Favorite Quote:
“Groveling’s what I should have done, when we met for the second time.” He leans closer still. “I acted like a total jerk…when all I really wanted to do was get down on my knees and beg for another chance to take you out.”

Ahhh! I’ve waited so long for Dallas’s story and it did not disappoint! 😍
Caelin and Dallas had chemistry for days!!!🫠🫠 And I loved getting to see snippets of the couples from the previous books!
The whole wedding festivities were a woot, but honestly I expected nothing less from Triple J! 😂

🚨- moderate language throughout

Another Cyclones Christmas hockey book??? Yes please!! This was so fun. Coach's daughter and the bad boy. But also throw in wedding planning and forced proximity. This was such a fun holiday read with all the Christmas vibes. Love this one! Highly recommend.

A hockey romance, with Christmas vibes, and a forbidden romance (she is the coach's daughter 🫣)?! Yes. I mean, I just don't think Katie Bailey can do any wrong.
The holiday magic of Caelin and Dallas trying to plan a Christmas time wedding was simply delightful. AND at a Christmas tree farm! Amazing.

Thanks to @bookedwiththeemilys @authorkatiebailey for the #gifted copy of this book.

Merry Misconduct comes out November 5th and is Book 3 in the Cyclones Christmas Series. While you don’t need to read the other two before this one I absolutely recommend and love them dearly! Both being some of my absolute favorite books ever read!

-Tropes-
• Coach's daughter
• Reformed playboy
• Forbidden romance
• He falls first and harder
• Forced proximity
• A hint of second chance
• Banter as a love language
• Christmassy festive vibes

When one of the tropes is Banter as a love language you take it seriously because the banter in this book is EVERYTHING.

What can I say, I’m low-key obsessed with… this book. Every book by Katie Bailey is always amazing and this one is no different. Can’t wait to add it to my shelf and I am so grateful for the opportunity to ARC read it.

Thank you Katie for letting me beta read this one and to Booked With the Emily’s for the ARC!

Katie Bailey is my queen and I have been anxiously awaiting the next book in the Cyclones series. Season’s Schemings (book 1) is an all time fave of mine and I could not wait to get my hands on Dallas and Caelin’s story. I loved them so much. I loooove a coach’s daughter forbidden romance and this one was so good. I’m also a sucker for a reformed playboy and Dallas is such a sweetie. I loved that his family owned a Christmas tree farm and seeing him with his nephew made me melt. The chemistry and tension in this one was phenomenal. Gosh I just loved this book so much. I love anything Katie writes and I can’t wait to see what she does next!
