The Beast in Me

Rate this book
Our sexual proclivities are an enigma. We have them, we know that they are there; we hide them, we keep them secret – sometimes we act on them. We cannot talk about them – no one would understand. We feel heated shame. We block feeling, turn away from feeling; we do anything not to feel. We crush the horror of the terrible deed that the little voice inside our head bids us do. Freud tells us that repressing feeling will amount to neurosis – Jung says pretty much the same – the repressed will bubble to the surface in one way or another – it will find a way out.
It will find its voice and it will demand to be heard.
The two stories presented here delve into the idea of ‘what happens next?’ What do you do – where do you go, after crashing and smashing your way through the final taboo?
A Queen, her depravity told through the millennia. Homer tells her story –Pasiphae the unnatural; the King, her husband, made a cuckold. Men snigger about the royal couple – even now, centuries later. What she did, her shame exposed to all, when she gave birth to a monster.
If you know Homer’s story, you will know that the Monster is proof that Queen Pasiphae was indeed guilty of a terrible perversion.
And my own tale “The Beast in Me;” the taboo ever present in Daisy and Noah. They are lovers, besotted with each other; besotted with a terrible secret. They break man’s law and God’s law too.
Sensitive readers should be cautious, especially if easily offended.

This is me, while reading this book:

I heard this book is controversial, so of course I wanted to try it myself... I started without looking for spoilers and... I think my soul will be SCARRED FOREVER. 😩😩😩

I always thought of myself as an open minded woman. I have no boundaries in books... Dark? taboo...? It's all cool with me. 💪
But now? DAMMIT. It turns out I DO have my limits. 🐎

I can't even write about the plot... I'm THAT shocked. 😟

When I first found out about this book, I was highly intrigued because it features a subject matter I’ve always been curious about. After seeing general consensus that it’s “too out there” and “beyond limit”, I knew it’s something I had to experience myself. I can confirm, there were definitely a lot of WTF moments lol!

A harsh, meaty flavour; a musky scent, a slick texture. He imagines her jaw aching, stretched around the thickness of his girth.

There are two short stories in this book. Part 1 is of a couple with deprave needs in present time and part 2 is from Greek mythology. After the eye-opening (literally and figuratively) scenes of part 1, part 2 was quite tame. The perversion aspect of the stories was good, but it would be better if the actual storyline and characters were developed a bit more.

The world that she has entered has no place for morality; this world is primal, carnal, feral; amoral. A world where ancient laws hold sway.

The Beast in Me explores the ultimate taboo in sexuality. It would appeal to non-judgmental readers with no hard limits.

Review by Puss’n’Books. Reviewing the darkest, most erotic and taboo books we can find. Click HERE for your next disturbingly sexy read.

Just before you continue, be aware that although this isn’y really dark, per se, or anything like the books I usually read and review, it is probably one of the MOST TABOO BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ. ***PROCEED WITH CAUTION***

Also, I do NOT support animal cruelty or Bestiality in any way, okay? We all clear, lol?

It starts out very mysterious...which in retrospect is a good thing because if you knew right away what it was they were talking about and had been planning on, you may not read past the intro, haha!
I mean, even Noah’s priest shrank away from his confession in disgust when he told the dude what he had been fantasising about.
When Daisy told her priest he had asked to be moved to a different parish!

DAISY
Oh Daisy, Daisy, Daisy.
I used to think the name was sweet and innocent.
I mean, with a name like Daisy, how could she ever be dark or fucked up...right?

Fuck, naw! The name has lost any modicum of innocence it ever had!

Anyway, for Daisy, it started when she first began riding. The saddle and motion of the horse hit the clit just right.
She used to watch the breeding of the horses on her parents’ farm when she was wee and it turned her on from an early age.

As she grew, so did the obsession and she began to...prepare herself, shall we say, for the day she actually lived out her fantasy.

Luckily for her, she lives on a farm, with horses, and has it to herself on the day she arranges to meet with a man she met online (Noah).
I’m not sure exactly what led these two to each other online and even less sure of how the topic of this particular kink came up, lol.
I’ll give her this though, she’s got some set of balls on her!

NOAH
I’m not sure exactly when the fantasy began for this dude. But he so desperately wants to witness this...act... and Daisy wants him to watch it, so that works out for them both, lol.
Noah struggles with accepting his desires more than Daisy does.

His mind can’t quite wrap itself around this craving without tremendous shame and guilt and he struggles with his ‘sin’ a great deal.
This has tortured him for many years.

But in the end, his curiosity and, in no small part, his penis persuade him to get with Daisy’s programme!
Yay for us, right?

SEX SCENES
Okay, now for the juicy part, lol.
If you blush, shock or trigger easily - do yourself a favour and look away now, lol.
She is stretched out over the bales of straw; she must have measured the necessary height for the stallion to mount her. Probably, she’d watched him impregnating a mare, noting the height she’d need to be to engage in a successful copulation. The stallion raises his head and whinnies, announcing his presence to the world; the presence of the Male. He pauses to sniff his mate’s genitals. Satisfied, he mounts her, his knees bent on the uppermost bale. He threshes around but his cock cannot find his way in; at one point he attempts to pierce her anus and the woman shrieks her denial. Noah plays the part of Acolyte performing ceremonial duties; she needs help and he shuffles beneath the stallion’s belly, taking hold of the cock with one hand and opening her up with his fingers of other, he feeds the cock slowly into her cunt. Noah sees the Rite from beneath; cock and cunt. The two bodies have become one in a profane, depraved, sacrilegious imitation of a biblical marriage. They are but of one flesh. The lips of her cunt are stretched wide; right to their limit. The thick cock pounds into her, filling her. It is a savage, potent copulation. As the stallion thrusts into her he sinks his teeth into the back of her neck. Noah crawls out from beneath the stallion’s hooves. The stable block is filled with the screams and hot breath of rutting animals. The image of her face, contorted into a snarl, he knows will stay with him forever. Her lips curled back from her teeth in a grotesque parody of a smile as she celebrates her release from suffocating convention. The world that she has entered has no place for morality; this world is primal, carnal, feral; amoral. A world where ancient laws hold sway. Judge her if you dare. Her hips find the rhythm of his thrusts and the two pump in unison. Noah masturbates his cock never taking his eyes away from the fucking – and as the stallion cums, Noah stops – his cock is still erect.

FINAL THOUGHTS on THE BEAST IN ME by Billirosie
So, I’m going to be extremely brave here and admit that this actually turned me on something fierce! Not because I’m into animals, because I’m NOT (just making sure that everyone understands that I in no way approve of any kind of animal cruelty/sexuality etc.) but because of the utter shock and taboo-ness of the story. It’s been a long time since anything shocked me like this and I gotta say it was so very well written!

Noah and Daisy share a particular fantasy. Though the exact details slightly differ in how it is to be carried out, their mutual obsession and arousal focuses on the act itself. Having prepared for this experience, they are overwhelmed by the shear enormity of it – emotionally and physically – and realize they will never be the same.

“Once the depravity had begun there would be no way of stopping it and that had excited them both.”

Told in shifting point of views, the narrative is one of pure curiosity into just how it will unfold. Delving into the motivations of Daisy and Noah is quite intriguing, as at times I wondered what would develop. The cringe factor was definitely at an all-time high for me. After the plot reached a crescendo, I was hoping for more development between Noah and Daisy, but having fulfilled their fantasy, they seemed enriched and without shame.

“The world that they entered has no place for morality; this world is primal, carnal, feral; amoral.”

The Beast in Me is an utterly taboo and erotic novella inspired by Greek mythology that tests societal boundaries.

Unquestionably, this is a book that will test one's limits in the taboo erotica realm. The deft narration by Jazmin Kensington softens the outre nature of the content to the extent that it can be enjoyed as a guilty pleasure. Not for the faint of heart, but recommended for those with a taste for dark kink.

So.... I've invented 3 shelves just for this book.

The 2 stars are not exactly for the content of the book - I'm not one to judge a book for being WEIRD when I knew it was going to be weird.

The 2 stars is for the writing and the lack of any plot. It's truly about BESTIAL BUGGERY AND SEX! That's right folks. And some...ah...slurpy things that happen after.

If this book described the psychological struggle or motivation or something beyond just graphic descriptions of what goes on, then the book might have rated higher. But really, it's just bestial buggery sex.

That's all folks.

Therefore, I felt like I had enough at 62%.

I tried something new. It did nothing for me. I'm done.

Oh my god I’m gonna be sick 🤢🤢

There’s been a lot of talk about this book in one of my book groups and how “taboo” and “disturbing” it is and to “keep an open mind” while reading it, so me, who likes a challenge, decided to accept said challenge.

It was an epic fail and I will proudly wear this failure as a badge of honor to have not been able to finish the most fucked up book I’ve ever attempted to read in my life 😳.

There are some things I can read and some things I can’t and this book definitely goes in the latter category. I was already pushing my limits after the first couple of pages, but as soon as this chick squatted like a goblin ready to take on this young, hung “stud”... I immediately got the taste of vomit in my mouth, threw my kindle like it was on fire and noped right the fuck outta there 🙅🏻‍♀️🤮

It's hard to write a review and say how much you enjoyed a story when it is a very taboo subject. Billierosie is a superb writer and this makes her stories well worth reading. She takes you on a journey with this couple Daisy and Noah who try to fight their twisted desires but who ultimately agree to help each other take the final step. Thus breaking the law in more ways than one. Lets be clear here this isn't some romance that will make you swoon. If you are easily offended DO NOT READ THIS! This is a dark taboo story. But if you like the dark/wrong side then I highly recommend this author and her work. Superb!

Billerosie takes her readers on a journey into the taboo in this book. While this will certainly not be eveyone's cup of tea, these are wonderfully written stories with great character development and graphically described scenes that draw the reader in and allow them to see something raw and forbidden.

As most of my GR pals know, I have a proclivity for a certain type of book. I gravitate towards those that most others shy away from. When I came across this book's blurb and the mentions of the taboo tale it harbored, I just had to read it. I have yet to be disturbed by anything I have ever read - and I have read some weird crazy things - but this book...

I have finally found my limit.

This book contains two stories but I'm only focusing on the first one in this review, The Beast in Me. I debated on whether or not to rate this book. Apparently, this book is too "deep" for me as I did not get out of it what others did. I find nothing erotic or enlightening about a story that centers around getting it on with an equine. Yeah, you read right. I'm talking bestiality.

I'm not sure how one would get those aspects out of it. Perhaps I was too focused on the aftermath of the couplings which is what really turned my stomach.

The taboo aspect in the book wasn't mentioned in the blurb and if it was I wouldn't have read it. Yeah, maybe I should have gotten a clue from the book cover or from the mentioned Homer's tale but I was not expecting this. There are some things that are untouchable subjects for me and this is one.

Mind-bending erotica

Two intertwined stories about an unusual fetish, told with great beauty, symmetry and a certain grace. There’s a moral lesson to these stories as well: embracing even the darkest desires produces love, while vilifying them leads only to despair.
This will not be for everyone but I’m very glad I read it.

Billie Rosie shatters the myth that erotica must be driven by the action itself with characters that are just interchangeable Kens and Barbies. In pursuit of profound perversity, she exposes the hidden tenderness and self-condemnation that leads to true empowerment through sexual acts of self-acceptance. "The Beast In Me" looks inward, penetrates the mind and heart, while rallying to the temptation of unnatural lust. This is not a race to the finish, and it may be too cerebral for some, but it definitely sets a high bar for literature erotica within taboo fantasies.

For me, this was a much deeper and religious conversation than anticipated. Coming from a very different spiritual context, I can definitely appreciate the emotional conflict and friction that Billie's characters face, but their fears of their own desires, and even each other, are contradicted by both their confessions and actions. Is this what being a Catholic is like? Constant guilt? Then Billie's nailed it. For the hedonist or sexually adventurous, there is a naive innocence here worth capturing. Whether that guilt and innocence is meaningful depends a lot on the reader.

All told... very immersive and the character depth is particularly notable in this genre. Well done!

The subject of this story may extremely stretch the taboo toleration of many who primarily read published ebooks, but those who have read free stories on beastial themes may find this tame. However, the strength of this writing is the mindset, overwhelming needs, and shameful conflicts that the various protagonists face. Joining a modern story with an parallel envisioning of an ancient myth turns taboo erotica into a much more interesting and almost thoughtful read (rather than simply explicit, titilating nastiness).

Many readers may find this overly provocative, even if explored in a relatively contemplative manner. Those accustomed to the extremes of the unfiltered web might find this to be a thoughtful look at a hidden, isolated but seemingly constant taboo that seems to surface repeatedly in human laws, myths, religions, jokes, and therefore likely in human reality as well.

I read this years ago. I didn't review it then, because it was so taboo that I didn't want my friends to see that I read it. I'm not slick enough to have two profiles like some of you. Ha Ha

I'm also not a$$hole enough to report this book and get it banned from Amazon after 6 years of being published. Censorship of any art is wrong, folks. (My review, my opinion) No one twisted your arm and forced you to read it.

Ah, but you probably didn't bother to read it. You just went to the Zon and reported it, didn't you? You probably feel great about saving the public from such a sick book. (and this book is sickening)

Who are you to dictate what I can and cannot read? Hmm?

My 5 star rating isn't because I'd recommend this book to my friends. This book has a shameful subject matter. It will make you feel gross at times. I've certainly never looked at any animal's junk and thought, "Mm, that looks fun."

Instead, I read it and then promptly closed it, and tucked it away without rating or reviewing it so no one could see what I just read because...

Who am I to judge you?

Who am I to judge this author for tackling a very taboo subject?

So, I'll stand up against censorship and give the review I should have written have years ago.

Spoilers ahead...

2.5 ⭐ Read.
No plot, just pony and bull sex. No character arcs to speak of, just bull and pony sex. It made me feel icky because all it was, was bull and pony sex. It's 54 pages long. Not much room for plot or character arc. Also, not very believable either. I'm sure there are sickos that actually do have bull and pony sex out there, but it's not practical for a female to be mounted by either animal. Besides the fact that it's highly dangerous for the human, animals don't want us in that way folks. Animals have sex to procreate, not for fun. I enjoyed reading about the Greek Mythology. Those gods were sinister and dark. Exactly how I love my books to be.

I have no idea how to even approach writing this review. I loved it, I gagged a couple places, I was disgusted, and I'd do it all over again. I loved how the author just let it all out. The dark, the grit, the dirty, and the beauty (yes, I think there was beauty if you look really, really deep down). This book has triggers that you might not even know you have but you're all adults so read at your own discretion and don't knock the book for being "too dark" or "too far" if you do choose to read it. Billierosie, I think you are amazing and brave and I love your mind ❤ I can't wait to read more from you!

I wasn’t very impressed with the first story. It didn’t flow as well. The second story however was much better. It was the authors interpretation of the story of Queen Pasiphae and the white bull. Which is the story of how the Minotaur was created. If the book would’ve just been the last story, maybe a bit longer then it would’ve been so much better. It’s taboo and it’s weird and it’s like watching a train wreck. You want to stop watching but you can’t until it’s all over.

So um....I stumbled upon this book on a list of outrageous books and when I looked it up here on goodreads the reviews made me curious because everyone was pretty much saying how messed up it was. And being the person I am I had to find out what was so messed up about it. AND HOLY F*** I AM PHYSICALLY ILL. I just can’t even put into words what this book is. 🤢😭🤮 the only bright side that comes to me from reading this is checking “something controversial” off my reading goals list for this year, because controversial and sickening is what this is 100% and I am by no means the type to judge kinks or fetishes usually. Now if that’s all, I need to go cleanse my eyes, mind, and soul.

Not sure what I just read

So I liked that this was basically the story of how the Minotaur came to be. I don’t understand what the 1st story in the book had to do with it though. I felt it was unnecessary. Maybe the author just wanted to write a story and disguise it? The 2nd story was worth the read. I love learning about Greek gods and I did find it an interesting different take on the story.

"Let's not be fragile about semantics. Buggery will happen. Buggery and bestiality."

There is having an open mind when going into a book, then there is what you have to do for this one, which is whatever comes 10 miles down the road from 'open mind'. I wasn't overly shocked because I had heard about this book and knew what I was getting in to, but there were still moments where I was thinking oh, we're going there, are we...? And might I add, that title is not the euphemism or metaphor I thought it was before I started the book.

As far as the book itself, it is divided in to 2 different stories. I felt like it would have flowed better had their order been reversed, and the Greek tale was first. It seemed anticlimactic to have that one closing out the book. I feel like it would have been a good lead-up to the other story, especially because it was referenced during it. I didn't feel like either story was about love and romance, and I'm not sure if that works in the books favor or not. On the one hand, I felt like it was missing something needed, like romance, but on the other hand, I feel like I'm glad it didn't go there.

Overall, it was okay. It will definitely not be for everyone. In fact, will be for almost no one. But if you're feeling open to new things, and have absolutely no boundaries, you might give this one a try.

When a group on Facebook said this was the most taboo read they had ever read and made them feel ill, I just knew I had to read. Challenge accepted and to be honest I have never read beastiality and it’s not really my jam. But I learn a new Greek Mythology and the scenes where hot (when in my mind it was a man) it is written so you know it is wrong but can block it out and kind of forget that part so for me it worked. I survived and enjoyed the writing

The reason I read this book was because it was banned. I am a believer in free speech and not banning books. I do understand why it was banned though. It was pretty sick. I skipped the last part that had a myth of the same perversion. I found myself saying eewww many times. I suppose there are those out there who might like it but I don't understand why. Fortunately it was very short. I am going to read a lot of rom coms now!

Disturbingly intriguing

Definitely not my usual type of book but had to see what fellow readers on Facebook where talking about. This is definitely way out of my normal reading bracket and won’t be able to forget this one anytime soon. This story would fall into a taboo troupe I don’t usually go for it was definitely well written and I wasn’t able to put it down.

Tempted by the title cover and book description I enjoyed the book with several stories that stretch the imagination and brings some subjects to the forefront few have the courage to address.
