Rate this book
It's been a week since 17-year old Zoe Jabril found out her best friend is a Guardian Angel, her boyfriend is a Nephilim, and a fellow classmate is a Fairy. What makes Zoe so special? She’s destined to unify Enlightens to battle evil—that is, if Demons don’t kill her first.

With ‘Project: Enlightens Unite’ underway, Zoe learns the history of the area wolf pack and realizes she's in a race against time to get her newly discovered talents under control. Despite struggling to fight a mysterious attraction to her new neighbor, rescue her boyfriend from Demons, and travel into Fairyland to convince the Summer King to join the fight, Zoe must still attend high school classes so her nosy parents don’t suspect anything is out of the ordinary before Demons can mount another attack.

Zoe will need all the help she can get, from the most unlikely of sources, if she’s to save her boyfriend's life and prevent the Devil from escaping Hell on her eighteenth birthday.

Alright, so we start strong in book two of this series. We have Zoe being protected by her friends while she learns exactly what she is and what she can do. By the end of this book we have been to realms other then the "Ordinary" world. We have many different people in the mix and get new faces to help stir the pot.
I am still team Shay. I think that while some of the aspects of their relationship are very campy, they are still good together. I am an avid fan of teen romance/paranormal and this fits right into that mold. This relationship is still better then the stalker types we have in other series. I am not going to name names here, so just move along.

This book gives us more of what Zoe can do, and she even gets part of her mark! That in itself was very exciting. I am not going to go into too much detail here with that, but I am glad she is moving along and making the strides needed.

The neighbor bugs me. Aiden is just not someone I can like. He is appealing, but they all can feel there is something off about him. I am curious as to who he really is, and by the end of this book, with that massive cliffhanger, you are left wondering even more. I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!!

I do have to say that I am glad that this book leads away from the love thing more. We get more actions, more back stories and really we get to see Sidelle in this book. I love the idea of fairies and she is one that I can really take a liking to here. I am hoping we get to see more of her with Finn later. I want to see what the Winter fairies are like since we got to spend some time with the Summer ones.

I can't wait to see where the next book goes!

Action-packed and intense!

The Passage, A dance, & A Little White Dress is the book two of the Enlighten series. I already read the first book which is The Guardian, A Sword & Stilettos and I ended up not liking it much. But this went beyond my expectations.

Zoe Jabril, the Redeemer, together with her guardian angel best friend, half angel half human boyfriend, and a summer fairy and wolf friends, continued the journey to stop evil from destroying Earth. The story focused on them finding and gaining allies to help them fight against the demons and the king of all evil, Sammael.

Because I already read the first book in the series and I didn’t actually loved it, I expected this book to be just the same. But surprisingly, it turned out to be different. Here, I saw a lot of improvements on Zoe’s character. She became more interesting unlike on the first book - where I liked her friends even more - because there’s just nothing interesting about her. And I saw almost all of the other aspects of this book improved. Everything worked altogether very well. It’s surprisingly much better.

It is a fast read and I didn’t even noticed the end coming. I enjoyed every single page of it. There is so much action and the events are just so intense which never failed to keep me very entertained. And the ending was definitely a cliff hanger! I really need to read the book 3 right away!

Good vs. evil, demons, angels, wolves, fairies, and other mythical creatures and a prophecy. Cliche, yes. But if you're still interested with those and want a fast and entertaining read, this one is for you.

Great YA fantasy sequel! Strong follow-up with wonderful in depth character development for earlier people we have met, a few new friends and foes, and some undecideds too. If you enjoyed the first book you will love this one. Kristin gives us a mix of Angels, demons, fairies, werewolves, Nephilim and even Samael, the evil one himself for our battles, intrigue and reading enjoyment!

Last night Zoe, an ordinary girl, with extrordinay powers developing and a future destiny to save the world, brought her best friend,Cassie, back to life after a demon attack. In just a few months, when she turns eighteen, if she is truly the Redeemer, Zoe will recieve her angel wings. How else has she caught the attention of Heaven and gained a Guardian Angel for life and a Nephilim for a boyfriend? Life compicated much when you're a teen?

Now is the time to consolidate power and gain allies! Good thing she's in high school where friends are invaluable. It turns out her friend Sidelle, being a true fairy princess, is Zoe's connection to the Summer Court. Now can Zoe get an audience with the King? Good for Zoe that Cassie's boyfriend is beta of the local werewolf pack. Can Zoe convince the Alpha and the pack to back her effort against Samael and his demons?

This book shows us much growth of both character and powers of different players along with abundant action. Come along for the thrills, bumps, surprises and emotions in this newest installment of the Enlighten Series!

With the first book in the series, ‘The Guardian, a Sword, and Stilettos,’ author Van Risseghem created a rich, supernatural world with angels, nephilim, fairies, werewolves, and various demons.

‘The Passage, a Dance, & a Little White Dress’ continues Zoe’s story right where the first book left off. She meets a new neighbor and is the only one who can see that he resembles her boyfriend, Shay, almost exactly. Typical teenage drama ensues, combined with supernatural features such as werewolf instalove and mating for life and various degrees of ephemeral beings.

Zoe began this series as a typical 17-year-old high school girl, as she was introduced to the hidden world of supernatural beings, she learns that the people closest to her have been assigned to protect her from birth. Zoe is destined to fulfill a prophecy on her 18th birthday. She is the prophesied ‘Redeemer’ and her abilities will be critical in the upcoming war to keep the devil from ruling Earth.

Recommended for fans of YA fantasy and supernatural beings. ‘The Passage’ is available for pre-order on Amazon, it releases April 13, 2016.

Daggers and Dresses picks up right where book one ends and this installment is even better than the first. Filled with action, adventure, romance, betrayal and so much more, this YA story is definitely worth the read. Zoe is learning more about her powers while trying to deal with her feelings about her missing boyfriend, Shay. When she meets her new neighbor, Aiden, she finds resemblance to Shay uncanny. While Zoe’s feelings for Aiden confuse her, she also suspects something just isn’t quite right about him. As if all of this is not enough, Zoe is trying to find allies to fight the evil that threatens to take over and with her eighteenth birthday quickly approaching, the coming danger may be more than she ever expected.
The author did a good job of amping up the action in this second installment and the characters are becoming more well developed. The trip to Sidelle’s home added an interesting component to the story with more action scenes and a unique and visually descriptive world. While I saw the ending coming, it still had me saying “oh no,” as I read the very last words. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book and am happy to see it’s due later in June. I suspect we’re in for a heck of a ride and I can’t wait to see where the series goes next. I received a copy of this book from Booksprout, am voluntarily reviewing it and all opinions are my own.

Book two picks up right where book one ends. This series is not a stand alone, instead it is a continuum arch. In book two there is more teenage drama and then add more new paranormal characters out to help Zoe as she develops her skills as an Angel. Lots of werewovles! Will Zoe be able to safe the world? Zoe does so much growing up in such a short time, taking everything in great stride. It was almost like part of her knew there was something different about herself and friends.

I really enjoyed book two, we learn about the new characters but we also get to learn so much more about the main core characters and also meet Shay's dad who is an Archangel.

This is a great YA paranormal series that I am very excited to see what else the author will come up with next. I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

A dark, suspenseful read!

A missing Nephilim...
Betrayal happens...
Darkness is on the horizon...

A well-written read with an interesting and amazing storyline. This world is absolutely exciting, interesting and wonderful.

Loved getting back into the MC's world and finding out new secrets, discoveries and revelations.

The first book was absolutely out-of-this-world amazing but this book did not pass the standards I had for it. I really enjoyed it but one thing that became most noticeable in this book was how annoying the MC can be. Hopefully, her character develops in the last book and shows growth and strength.

Full of angels, demons, nephilim, fairies, adventure, action, secrets, wolves, evil, darkness and romance.

Perfect for readers of urban fantasy romance/paranormal romance.

Fantastic read, well written with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. I really enjoyed this installment of the Enlighten series! Zoe is learning more about her powers as they develop. She's becoming a kick-butt heroine now that she is learning to control her Angel Light. She joins the fight against demon knights and marqs with her team of fairies, guardian angels, nephilim, and werewolves. There's a new mysterious neighbor in town and his appearance happens around the time Zoe's boyfriend Shay disappears. As the group comes together to find Shay and unite all the Enlightens they encounter all kinds of twists and turns. They meet new friends and enemies while making sure to attend all their high school classes. What a cliffhanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I loved the first book. So it's not surprising that book 2 is just as awesome! Zoe's life is forever changing. There's so much happening. Never a dull moment. Her friends are all so cool. They all just work so well together. Angels, and fairies and werewolves! The best combination in my opinion! I really enjoyed reading this story so far. I am seriously shipping Shay & Zoe! They are the perfect couple. And Zoe is getting to be so kick ass now! As for new character.. let's just say i was totally right about him! I don't like posting any spoilers in my reviews. I highly recommend this series as a must read! Looking forward to the next book! It can't come soon enough! I need to know what happens next! Definitely has me hooked for sure!

The narrator, Sofia does a wonderful job portraying Zoe and the other characters. Her pitch, and tone was pleasant to listen and follow. The book takes place right where book 1 ending but unfortunately I struggled a bit on this one. The story line was a bit on the slow pace at the beginning but eventually it picked up pace. Which is good!! Like I said the narrator was fabulous and she did her best narrating the story. I enjoyed the story halfway, and I enjoyed the battle scenes and the speculation as to what Zoe will do next. But omg!! That ending!! I wanted to scream at my audiobook!! Thankfully the next installment is available.
If you enjoy YA fantasy reads, and The Mortal Instruments series I believe you will enjoy this series as well.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
The second book started the very next morning from where the first book ended. But…Who is this new neighbor that looks just like Shay? And where is Shay? These questions keep you reading to find answers. There are many twists and turns to keep you interested. Also the characters continue to develop throughout the story in a very positive manner. There are a few times that it gets “groan worthy,” unless you are a teen, young adult, or are totally into clothes and discussing everyone’s romantic love interest. Other than that, it is a very interesting read. I am looking forward to the next story.

As a disclaimer, I beta read this book (which means I read it before it was ready for publication, to help give pointers, find typos, etc.)

I've beta read Kristin's works from the very beginning, and LET ME TELL YOU, she's really blossomed into a talented writer.

This book is filled with twists and turns that I didn't expect. Okay, some of them had pretty good foreshadowing so I was "suspicious," but a lot of them surprised me.

I'm very curious for the next book, and Lucky Me--I get to read them all before you.
haha--sorry to gloat, but that was fun.

Cheers-

Picks up right after book 1. Zoe and her friends have a lot going on as the year winds to a close and that doesn't include all the extras with the demons and stuff. There is also the new neighbor of Zoe's to deal with. Something about Aiden is off, but Zoe isn't sure what it is. So much going on and I don't want to spoil anything. There is the visit to Vash's Pack, Sid's home in the Summer lands an unexpected visit to Finn's home and then the JR Prom. OMG that ending was unexpected...can't wait to see what happens next!!

Just an average high school Junior is Zoe. Except that her boyfriend is a Nephilim, her best friend is a guardian angel, one of her girlfriends is a fairy and she just brought another friend back from the dead....

Meanwhile there is an interesting new neighbor that just moved in next door, and it's prom season. Too much for one girl to handle?

If you like Cassandra Clare you'll love this trilogy! My 13 year old daughter really enjoyed it too.

I tried to like book 2 more but there are still so many cringy (long) moments. First of all, there is a lot of describing (what clothes Zoe puts on, what make-up, how she's brushing her teeth and hair etc.). Also the fight simulator sessions are excessively described, again and again. I skipped over passages which I normally don't do. There is a lot of school time again, which class they go in, what topic they have. Compared to little action. The balance is just not right. And I still don't like Zoe. Her inner “fight” about Aiden... why is she wasting time when her boyfriend is missing? And why is Kieran not wise enough about Aiden?
Also, in book 1 the enlighten marks were only visible under angel light, but not in this book.
The end is quite a cliffhanger and so after all those boring moments, I now still want to know what happens next because it looks like the action is going down-hell....

The passage a Dance & a Little White dress.
By D. Van Risseghem.

Blurb.

Zoe Jabril is working through finding her best friend is a guardian Angel, Her boyfriend is Nephilim and fellow classmate is a fairy. Zoe finds herself at the head of a prophecy. She is destined to unify Enlightens to battle Hell.

Zoe has to get her newly discovered talents under control while introducing herself and getting to know other paranormal beings. Getting to know the Wolf Pack, Introducing herself to fairyland.

Zoe finds herself again in an odd situation when an attractive mysterious boy moves next door, he brings out an odd feeling in Zoe that she can't explain.
Zoe's hands are full and to add to the stress and pressure her boyfriend is taken by Demons to Hell, She now has to find and rescue him.

Zoe will need all the help she can get in this thrilling action-packed story.

This is the second book in the series and picks up exactly where book one ended. I loved book One and can honestly say Book Two is not disappointing! It has met my expectations and more! This Read is terrific and offers you a little of everything, both books have been a pleasure to read and I personally can't wait for the next installment.
What a way to end a story... CLIFF Hanger Alert!!! OMG...

The story is written so well, very classy full of exciting imagination. you find yourself rooting for Zoe And I adored the romance between her and Shay. But I also find myself rooting for Kieran, I adore his character and am hoping for so much more of him in the next book. Each character I find very realistic, some kick ass... But none of them are bought across to be perfect which gives them a more realistic feel. I hate it when characters are to, goodie - goodie perfect.
I love how Aiden was introduced, I knew he was going to be quite a significant character.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It's worth all of Five stars! Van K.D. Risseghem leaves you totally hanging with this book, and begging for more more more!

Do pick up this series. Book One & Two.

Note: I received this audiobook from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Daggers and Dresses is the second book in the Enlighten series. The story continues with Zoe and the gang trying to fulfill the prophecy by joining all the Enlightens and stopping Samuel from escaping hell while trying to keep Zoe safe.

Zoe is getting stronger, her powers are growing and she is starting to become the leader that the world needs her to be. All the while still being a caring and supportive friend. That's what so special about Zoe, she is genuinely a good person, she cares about absolutely everyone and intern everyone cares about her, they want to protect her as much as they can from what's coming. Sidelle, Vash, Shay, Kieran, and the others are working really well together. Everyone is slowly figuring things out all the while giving Zoe the room to grow into her role. As for Shay, he is very protective of Zoe, it's so adorable and they make a very cute couple.

The story was good and I enjoyed the audio but it was slightly problematic. Some of the things didn't really line up with some things that were previously said and the relationship between Zoe and her new next-door neighbor, Aiden, was a little weird. Aiden is a new character who has a very prominent role in the story, he seems to be everywhere. Something is going on with him and he seems very interested in Zoe. While Zoe didn't seem herself around him and he seemed to be acting one way one moment and differently another. Other than that everything was really good. I enjoy getting more of the story, figuring out what was going on, and learning more about the other Enlightens.

Daggers and Dresses was entertaining, with moments of light romance, devoted friendship, magic, action, and more. The story ended on a cliffhanger and I am really interested in seeing how Kristin wraps things up in the final book, Wars and Wings.

This is the second book in the series and picks up the next day after Zoe saved Cali's life. We meet some new characters and also get better acquainted with old ones.
We meet Shay's father, the archangel Gabriel along with Archangel Michael as all three of them go searching for a Seraph Angel's sword. They have a lead as to where one could be so they go on a retrieval mission. Unfortunately for Shay, it ended with Demons dragging him down to Hell. But never fear! The Angels are on the case and are out there looking for him.
During which time a new neighbour, Aiden, moves in next door to Zoe and her family and is setting off all sorts of weird signals with Zoe.
But to get back to what she's ultimately there for, her purpose, they go to visit the Alpha of Vash's wolf pack and King Oberon in fairyland but both trips result in being overrun by demons and blood being shed.
Kieran, Gabriel, and Michael manage to break Shay out of Hell and bring him home but he's still unconscious and won't wake up. At least, not until Zoe manages to lead him back through a mental link with him. She's getting more used to her new found powers now and using them to help everyone.
But it seems to me that all through the book Zoe is very forgetful about what she tells to who. When asking one person for information about something she is told that they don't know and advised to ask another person because they ought to know instead, but she doesn't. If she had pursued the mark that her new neighbour has, a triquetra mark, she might have been forewarned for what was to happen at the Prom. What happens I hear you ask? You'll have to read the book and see.
I'd recommend this book to all.

This was a big jump in grading from the first book, which I thought was pretty good. I found the beginning of this book to be too descriptive. As it was going through her life she would have big flashbacks to what happened in the first book. It was almost as though you could have never read the first book, but have read the second, and fully understand the entire plot of what was happening. It was like the author explained everything all over again. I don't think someone would read the second book without having read the first. The flashbacks that were that descriptive, stayed only in the beginning of the book and really weren't needed. It was almost as though the author was trying to make a word count so she just repeated everything that happened before and mixed it with a couple new things that happened. The book also was not that exiting. I get that the girl is still trying to have a normal life, but (I know I'm comparing this series to the shadowhunter series again) even clary moved on from mundane life before the second book. This character needs to as well. If the is participating in life threatening activities, why is she worried about her grades!? Worry about your life!! It was such a disappointment from the first book, and I am almost sorry I read the second book. I assume everyone stays alive until the end, so I don't need to read the rest of the books. Of course, you never know what the author might throw in there. Those evil writers.

First off, I should mention this book was received as an ARC and I'm very very thankful for that! I had a reading slump but as soon as I started reading I couldn't put that book down. Well in one case I did but that'll be explained later.

I liked the retrospective in the first few chapters, reminding the reader of what happened in the previous book. It had been few months since I've read it and it refreshed my memory to the ongoing in the world.

Just like the other two books it was well written. The flow of the action and reaction scene was flawless and I managed to finish this book in two days. I'm looking forward to the final book. (Really that ending! I was so screaming at Zoe, god...stupid, stupid, stupid).

The guessing of what is going to happen next was one of the best parts in the book. When I came up with something like what could have happened to Shay, the author put a plot twist and my mind was trying to grasp at what was happening. Also to get to the part when I had to put the book down. The last two cahpters. Especially the end of 28th (I think). Like really Zoe...giving that kind of information away to a boy you barely know? See where that resulted?

To sum it up. I wasn't disappointed at all. There might have been few grammar mistakes but I am sure that it will be sorted out before it is released. Keep up the good work!

I was excited for this book because I'd enjoyed the first one and I wasn't disappointed. Once again, we follow the young Zoe as she is coming into her own. She's going to be counted on to save the world in just a few short months and needs allies. Just like in the first book, demons dog her every bit of the way, making for some very exciting action scenes. It's only going to get worse when she turns eighteen and the evil one himself is free.

I do wish we got to see more training and preparing. She uses a simulator to train, but I'd love to see Kerian, her guardian angel best friend, training her himself. I'm not a huge werewolf fan, but they work in this book because it isn't about them.

And now we come to the new neighbor. Everything inside of me was screaming at her to stay away because I love her boyfriend, Shay. But something was drawing her to him. It added an element of danger that had seemed almost fantastical before then. Previously, demons were just demons. There was no sympathy for them. They were evil, no question about it and everyone that came into Zoe's life seemed to want to help her. They were the good guys and every person she trusted turned out to be deserving of that trust. I loved that throughout the entire story, there was this character that was so unpredicatble. We didn't know if we could trust him.

The Passage, a Dance, & a Little White Dress (book 2 of the Enlightened Series) continues right where book one left off. A new major character is added to this book and he really shakes Zoe up. Neither she nor her friends can get a decent read on Aiden and what he is. The book focuses largely on Zoe coming further into herself and her role as the prophesied redeemer. During this discovery process, Aiden is constantly in the background shaking things up.

The Passage, a Dance, & a Little White Dress is a fun quick read. The author does a better job developing the main characters and providing them with more life in this installment. There still are a lot of unanswered questions and holes in the story line that I am hoping will be answered in the next book(s). They are distracting and chop up the flow but aren't enough that I've lost interest (I still don't know why Morgan is so unpleasant to Zoe (since Kindergarten -- what happened?!?)). Also I was a bit disappointed that we didn't find out more about the wolves and fairies even though they play a pretty important role in defeating the demon nights and other bad guys. This all being said, I've enjoyed the books and am curious to know what happens next. I am vested with the characters and want to see them succeed against the Devil.

The Passage, a Dance, and a Little White Dress is the second book in the Enlighten series and starts the day after the climax of book one. Zoe is trying to pretend that everything is normal whilst she struggles to deal with the new world that she is part of. Part of what helps to keep her stable is her relationship with Shay. This receives a knock though, when Shay is taken and no one knows where he is. At the same time, Zoe gets a new neighbour (Aiden), who has a striking resemblance to Shay that apparently no one apart from Zoe sees. This, plus his behaviour, would be ringing alarm bells with me, but Zoe seems not to notice anything too bad, apart from it being "a bit off".

This book was an amazing follow-up to the first story. We learn more about the various types of Enlightens, Naturals, etc. It is very well written, with a smooth pace building up the ending, and no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. With a cliffhanger ending that will have your jaw dropping, this book is both a brilliant follow-up to book 1, whilst also leading you perfectly into book 3. Definitely recommended by me.

Having read the last book last month I was expecting to enjoy this one too- but with Zoe spending the majority of the book worrying about her boyfriend, it took away from some of the adventure that actually happens.

It’s set pretty much straight after the first one, give or take a week, so it was really easy to pick up the story where I left off.

For a few chapters it’s dual perspective between Shay and Zoe so we can find out why Shay is missing and what is happening to him but as soon as he is rescued it switches back to just Zoe which I felt was very inconsistent.

However, we get more of the supernatural and more people come into their abilities which added to the story- especially when there is a battle.

I did still enjoy the story, but I feel like it both, moved too quickly as well as being over exaggerated in places. I know Kristin herself is Asian but she described a characters eyes as ‘slanted and Asian like’ twice in the same paragraph.

I did like the cliffhanger ending.

I predicted that the character involved was on the side of demons the moment he was introduced.

I would like to complete the series, and maybe once I’ve read through my TBR then I’ll pick it up as I’m interested in seeing how the story ends.

2.5/5 stars.

Not the best but it was a good story all the same.

The Passage, a Dance, & a Little White Dress (book 2 of Enlighten Series) by Kristin D. Van Risseghem. Well, she did it again. Van Risseghem brought back the characters of Zoe, Shay, and Kieran (so dreamy) in vivid colour. Book 2 continues on the journey with ‘Project: Enlightens Unite’ and the daily life of a seventeen year old on the cusp of greatness. Balancing school, family, and the upcoming prom and trying to save the world; Zoe’s plate is very full and getting more crowded as the time passes.
Book 2 gives you the reader a glimpse into the life and world of Vash the werewolf and Sidelle the Summer Fairy. This book is fun and fast passed like the first but with a little more action. (Only down side I could find would be at the beginning the flashbacks are a bit much – I understand you want new readers to be able to keep up, but come on...)
All in all I like the second book. I don’t feel I’ve wasted any time reading it and actually am looking forward to what happens next. No spoilers here, but I can tell you that Zoe goes on a journey she will never forget at the prom.

Awesome follow up! The Passage, a Dance & a Little White Dress is the second book in the Enlighten series. The story picks up right where the first left off with the aftermath of an epic battle. Zoe is The Redeemer and must unite an array of supernatural creatures to save the world from Sammael and his hellions. As her angel powers begin to develop, Zoe is becoming more of a warrior than even she expected. And it couldn’t have come at a better time because one member of the group has gone missing… her soul mate Shay.

I absolutely loved the second book. More supernatural creatures joined the fray, there was more kick-butt action, and the characters visited new arenas for battles including the werewolf pack and Fairyland. Unexpected twists kept me on my toes, especially the truth behind Zoe’s new neighbor. And I can’t forget the confession Kiernan was about to make to Zoe. (I’m dying to know what name he was about to drop!). The jaw-dropping ending has me hooked (again) and I’ll be reading the third book the moment it comes out!

This is an exciting series and I highly recommend it, if you enjoy anything fantasy or anything supernatural, you will probably find it in this book. The storyline has you constantly on the edge of your seat, waiting for something to jump out or go wrong for the characters, especially the main female lead Zoe she just can’t seem to get a break. This has brilliant continuity, you will find the same characters as book.1. With a few added extras, that do a great job of keeping the story alive, fresh and interesting. Continually fighting for their lives and betrayals the characters won’t no who to trust. The cliffhanger at the end had me literally jumping shouting nooooooooooooo 🤐 . Summoning up, please tell me book.3. Won’t be to long to follow.
Kristin D. Van Risseghem has the ability to draw you in, and keep you, enthralled until the very last word. The realism of emotions and world building is a credit to her talent as an author. However she never tells you that lose of sleep will be a factor once you start the first chapter.
