Amazon Bestselling Post-Apocalyptic SeriesThe End of the World was Only the Beginning. What would YOU do?In Book 8 (ABSOLUTION), the longest installment of the series, our group of survivors are lost.
Reeling from the sudden demise of one of their own, and attempting to put a stop to the destruction wrought by Marcus Goodwin, Mason must avoid becoming a victim himself.
As a new group quickly descends on our survivors, we find out just how depraved humans in this new world have become. Separated, scared and on the run, they must once again rely on one another and themselves if they hope find redemption in a world completely void of humanity.
In this driving conclusion to The Dead Years, the city has gone dark and prays on those who have given up their will to live. Will Mason, Randy and their small band of survivors find the salvation they so desperately seek or is this new world simply too far gone?
Jeff Olah is the author and creator of the best-selling series The Dead Years, The Last Outbreak, and The Next World. He writes for all those readers who love good post-apocalyptic, supernatural horror, and dystopian/science fiction.
His thirst for detailed story lines and shocking plot twists has been fueled over the years by stories from Cormac McCarthy, Ray Bradbury, and Stephen King. He also has a difficult time tearing himself away from character driven dramas like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and LOST.
Jeff is addicted to reading, writing, and lifting weights. He lives in Southern California with his wife, daughter, and ten-year-old Chihuahua.
Mason and his crew went through hell to get to this point; yet somehow they managed to keep on going. I really enjoyed this series, and I'm kind of sorry to see it end. At the same time, I can't wait to get going on Jeff Olah's next series - "The Last Outbreak."
"The Dead Years" is a great series. If you like zombies and non-stop, edge of your seat action, then you have to start reading right away - just make sure you don't have any plans, because you aren't going to want to stop reading!
The books definitely have to be written in order; so make sure to start with "Origins." Enjoy. I know I did!
Wow talk about your "out of the frying pan and into the fire" moments, this book really turns up the heat! I wasn't sure if there was going to be happy ending for any of the characters in the series or even an end to the series!
A big thanks to the author for an awe inspiring lead up to an ending of the book leaving you wondering what has happened to the number one hero and champion of the group, Mason, which we do finally learn in the conclusion. And thanks for leaving our group in a safe place, hopefully to see some of them involved with some characters another his excellent storylines.
Although I absolutely love this series, I'm a little disappointed because I wanted a little more closure between the couples I wanted to find out how randy and Megan feel and I didn't want to Miss the birth and does Savannah feel the same as mason do they start a family and live happily ever after do the heal the world so many things I still want to see them through please another book or 10 not ready to let go!!!
I'm stl crying and reeling from this book. What a way to bring this family's take to a resting place. I'm satisfied, though. Three entire journey was one book devoted after another.
Can anyone guess what's next? Yup, Jeff Olah had another wonderful series - the Last Outbreak. Thank you, MY and Jeff Olah!!!
The whole adventure of The Dead Years has had me on my seat edge. Volume number 8 was more than expected. So excited that William made it and will be there for Mason in their next journey into the unknown. I cannot wait for the next in the series to find out how the group traverses their next encounters with the feeders.
I can see that it will continue which is awesome. I was hoping that his son somehow survived and became a way to kill these things but it's cool cuz I know the next part of this series is going to be good
Great story line Well written a few type Jo's. If you're a Zombie fan this is a must read from the first one to last. Would love to see a movie made from this series.
The story was really good. I enjoyed the story with sadness, laughter and very moved by the characters. I would encourage others to read this series and anything else this author writes.
