I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

10 fantastic tales of hot wolves finding their future.
The Devora by Desiree Holt – You know it has to be smoking hot if it was written by Desiree Holt and it is but even more this is a really fun and sweet tale of a wolf looking for her past so she can find her future.
The Ardennes Curse (The Woolven Secret) by Saranna DeWylde – We met the main characters for this story in Princess of the Pack (found in the Under a Wolf Moon anthology). You will get into this story faster if you’ve read that but if not this can be read standalone. What happens if you finally find your mate but your bite might kill her? The new alpha of the Ardennes will get to find out.
Odd Mate by Virginia Nelson – This story takes place in the world of the Odd series but stands alone just fine. Odd Mate tells of a second chance at romance. There is a wonderful mix of humor and heat in this tale of love and politics.
Running with the Wolves (The Cascadia Wolves) by Gayle Donnelly - This story takes place in the world of The Cascadia Wolves but stands alone just fine. This is a sweet and sexy tale of the bodyguard and the kindergarten teacher with secrets of her own.
Redemption’s Forgiveness (The Rending) by Cara Carnes - This story takes place in the world we were introduced to in the Under a Wolf Moon anthology. A world I’d love to explore more of. Love can be found under even the most trying of circumstance.
Under Her Spell by Brandy Walker - Brandy Walker is one of my favorite new authors and she just keeps getting better. We met Diego as a secondary character in Gideon: March (Mystic Zodiac #3). This story can be read standalone but if you like it you should go back and read Gideon. Gideon and Ryder are getting married and Diego has to go pick up Gideon’s cousin from the airport. Daphne is a hybrid ½ wolf ½ witch and there are those who want her to choose sides. She won’t be with anyone who cannot accept all sides of her. I LOVE this story.
Always (Dragon Wars) by Rebecca Royce - We met the main characters for this story in the Under a Wolf Moon anthology. This is an incredibly complex world and we get to see a bit more of it in this story. I was amazed at how much information was packed into this relatively short story. This story blew me away.
Violet’s Shadow (Shadow Mates) by Jennifer Kacey - I love anthologies as I find “new to me” authors like Jennifer Kacey . This story introduces a young woman to the future she is destined for. This story had me laughing and crying and oh yes there was sighing too.
Wolf with Benefits (Wolves of Willow Bend) by Heather Long – Though this can be read standalone I recommend this whole series as it ROCKS! Shiloh was one of the Willow Bend humans responsible for helping set up the new pack. Now she is home and on probation. She is being harassed and ostracized by wolf and human alike. Except for her best friend Matt who comes up with a plan to help her out and if it ends up helping him out too so much the better. What they didn’t expect was falling in love. SO MUCH FUN!
The Alpha’s Saving Grace by Melissa Schroeder - I have come to the opinion that there isn’t a genre that Melissa Schroeder can’t write. This is a fun and sexy tale of murder, mayhem and romance told with humor and grace. I got a total kick out of Jacob and Alex.
This boxset is incredible. Each story is complete and there is something for everyone who likes their wolves hot and sexy. Go buy this now.

Wolf with Benefits (Wolves of Willow Bend, # 6.5)
by Heather Long

Shiloh is a human packmate in Willow Bend. Her whole family is. No one in her family had ever wanted to make the change, even though it had been offered. She and Matt have been best friends since they were children. He is the one she always turned to when she needed help or just someone to be close to. After she went away to college, she went against pack rules and laws and helped form the Sixth U.S. pack. There were only suppose to be five packs, but Shiloh wanted to help the rogue wolves find a home, some place to belong. Unfortunately things got out of hand and she requested to return home. There were stipulations to her return and she knew she would have to follow them.

Matt is glad that Shiloh is back. He has missed her a lot. Some people in Willow Bend are not happy to Shiloh back amongst them and make it plain and clear that they aren't happy about it. Shiloh's family loves her, but they are disappointed in her and she feels the stress of it. Matt wants to make things better and comes up with the idea of pretending they are mates. He moves Shiloh in with him, but he soon discovers he wants to be more then pretend. Now he just has to get Shiloh on the same page. There are a lot of obstacles to get over and around before he can claim her as his mate, if she will even have him.

Just finished this anthology. Couldn't put it down. If you love shifter tales this one is definitely for you I love a good shifter romance, and a shifter romance anthology is even better. I also love comedy with my romance... Several times I lol'd on several of the stories. One of my favorite authors is included in this anthology Jennifer Kacey and this was her debut writing a shifter romance, great job and keeps you interested throughout. First time I have read some of the others including Heather Long...will be picking up more of her books ASAP! In closing this is one you don't want to miss!!!

Heart of the Wolf by Desiree Holt

‘Shifter Lia Popescu is desperate to find the book, "Legends of the Werewolf," her only clue as to what happened to her pack. Her attempts to recover it bring her into contact with Riley Morgan, a contact that explodes with sexual chemistry. When she loses her heart to the sexy detective, she wonders how he will handle knowing the truth about her.'

I was drawn into the story of Lia and Riley right from the beginning. After the death of her grandmother, Lia has taken a leave of absence from her job and traveled all the way to Calderwood hoping to meet and talk to new author Jamie Volka.

Jamie has written a paranormal book about werewolves and cited her research from an ancient book about the legends of werewolves. Lia is hoping that the information in this book will help her to find out anything to eventually lead her to members of her own lost pack. Unfortunately, Lia comes across as a stalker and Jamie calls in a good friend, detective Riley Morgan to approach Lia.

The sexual chemistry is instantaneous and the love scenes between the two main characters are definitely off the charts. You will need a fan to keep cool while reading this story! Not for the faint of heart.

It has been a long time since I read anything by this author and the first paranormal story. She did not disappoint. I do not know if this is going to be a continuing series, but after reading it I researched and discovered that this is actually the second book set in this world. In October 2014 she wrote "Eyes of the Wolf" about Jamie and her shifter mate Mike Volka. They play a prominent role in this story. Enough so that now I want to go back and read their book.

The Ardenness Curse by Saranna DeWylde

'When Armand Rommulus killed Luc Ardenness in single combat before the Great Council, he was forced to leave his pack and his home and claim his birthright as the Ardennes Alpha. But Armand isn’t like the other wolves--he's something deadlier. Armed with a new evolution and the magic in his blood, he's a force to be feared.

Victoria had no love for her sire, but what she does have is love for her people. She's determined to free them from the curse forcing them to become mindless, slavering terrors every full moon, even if it means taking the new Alpha to mate. She quickly discovers Armand is not only a good man, but a noble wolf. Victoria must choose between the life of the Alpha she loves or breaking the curse tormenting her pack.'

This is definitely part of a series because there were some references made throughout that I never fully understood the meaning of.

I wish I could say that I loved this story but I just didn't. I never really 'felt' the emotions of the main characters, or any of the characters for that matter. The entire story seemed very 'tell me what's happening but don't let me feel it' if that makes any sense. The love scenes were rather bland and Victoria and Armand claiming their love for each other didn't do a thing for me.

I really hate to say anything negative about an author who obviously has taken a lot of time and effort to create this world for readers to enjoy. I just didn't happen to be one of them. And even the ending wasn't really that happy to me. But since I never really developed any true connection to the hero or heroine it didn't really affect me that badly. I assume that somewhere down the road, at the end of the series, she will tie up this particular loose end that she left. I can't say that I really care enough to find out.

Some people may not agree with me and probably really enjoy her books. You may be one of them if you've never read any of her books before, so don't let this negative review stop you from giving the story a try. You may just get something out of it that I just didn't.

Odd Mate by Virginia Nelson

‘When the gamer wolf searches for love, only an odd mate will do.

Charly spends his days working in a used video game shop and most of his nights as the second to one of the rarest of their kind--a female Alpha. Most of the pack figured he and Dara had a thing, but her recent mating wakens a wave of unwelcome pity. He can't exactly admit the one wolf he ever loved left him years ago. At least, he can't until she reappears close enough for him to try again.

Gretchen fell in love with a sweet, nerdy bear of a man but ran fast and hard from his side when she realized he'd hate her for a genetic twist of fate she couldn't change. Now she's back in town and drawn to his side.

Can a wolf sworn to destroy all coyotes claim a coywolf mate, or will he be forced to obliterate the only girl he ever loved?'

I must say Gretchen and Charly were an absolute delight to read about. The story was light hearted and fun. Another part of a series obviously, and I so can't wait to read Gertrude's story! And Elijah's!

I'll have to go on to Virginia's web page now and see what other books she has in this series. Oh, by the way: Abjuration - "the solemn repudiation, abandonment, or renunciation by or upon oath, often the renunciation of citizenship or some other right or privilege. (It comes from the Latin abjurare, "to forswear)" I may be an avid reader but I will admit that was a word that I didn't know what it meant so I had to look it up. You will understand why when you read the story.

Running with the Wolf by Gayle Donnelly

‘Abram spends his days protecting the pack children, but he finds himself wanting more. The quiet, elusive kindergarten teacher has sparked a hunger inside him and he knows it won’t be satisfied unless he makes her his mate. When her past comes calling, he must make a choice…defy pack law and bring her into his world or let her run and lose her forever.’

This is a story about the Cascadia Wolf Pack. Abram Keaton is bodyguard to the Alphas triplets. During his duty of escorting the 5 year olds to school every day his attention is caught by the beautiful Miss Abigail Mann. For months he has admired her from afar and finally gets the courage up to ask her out.

Abigail has been on the run for over 2 years from her sadistic, abusive husband. She's secretly infatuated with Abram as well. From this point on the story moves rather quickly. I did a lot of laughing over the antics of the triplets and Abrams inner dialogue when gazing at Abigail from afar.

Miss Donnelly does a great job of immersing the reader into the story and making them feel like they want to get to know these people in real life. I just wish the story could have been longer so we could find out more about Brandon Shaw and his family in New Orleans. That was kind of left hanging so I'm hoping she picks it up in a future book.

The Alpha, Alex and his human wife Betsy must also have their own story in a previous book but I haven't been able to find it yet. I really would like to read their love story as well.

All of the characters are well described and very vivid. I'm hoping Rory's and Charlotte's book is next. I'm really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. This is a highly recommended read.

Redemption’s Forgiveness by Cara Carnes

‘Marek will do anything to protect his pack and their land, including executing any Outsiders who dare enter pack lands. There’s no soft in war-until Felicity, a curvaceous wolf with more sass than sense limps into Redemption with an impossible tale of betrayal.’

Marek is a shifter warrior living at Redemption and Felicity is an Outsider who stumbles into his compound injured but wanting to warn them about an upcoming attack. Being an Outsider, and therefore an enemy of his people, not too many people believe anything she has to say. But that's the least of his worries, as he can't fight his growing attraction to the fierce female warrior.

There is one word that sums up this story to me and that is Wow! Not only is this part of an intricate and very detailed series, but by the time I was done I felt like I had read a full length novel and not a novella.

I admit it was a little hard to get into the story at first because there is so much back story that the author has to impart that it is almost overwhelming, but once I did I couldn't put it down.

The romance between Marek and Felicity is really only a subplot to all the action that is going on. Don't get me wrong, when they do finally get together the love scenes are very steamy and the romance between the hardened warrior and his little wolf is definitely worth the read. But the story itself, Wow, just wow!

I don't know how many stories the author has already set in this world but I am very eager to find out. I am not usually a big fan of what most consider fantasy, I like the story to center mostly around the paranormal romance and anything else be part of the subplot, but this author has made me a believer. It actually reminded me very much of Linda Mooney's 'The Battle Lord Saga' series. Another set of wonderful stories to read if you get the chance, that I never would have thought I really had any interest in if I hadn't gotten the first book in the series, 'The Battle Lord's Lady' for free as a publishers promotion on Earth Day at allromance.com a few years ago.

So if you're just looking for a light paranormal romance to read this book isn't for you, but if your willing to take the time to go on an adventure with flying dragons, succubae mages and evil humans, give it a try.

Under Her Spell by Brandy Walker

'The beta of the Keystone Predators, Diego Mendoza loves his job and the responsibility that comes with it, even the simple task of retrieving his Alpha's cousin from the airport at the last minute. He thinks it’s going to be a quick grab and go until he gets her in his truck.

Daphne Moore needs a break and a trip to Arizona for a cousin's wedding seems like the perfect place to start. Part wolf shifter and part witch she's had a hell of a time fitting in. Her fathers pack wants her to renounce her mother's coven, while her mother's coven wants her to swear an oath of allegiance forsaking the Pack. All Daphne wants is a place where she's accepted as both wolf and witch.

Diego wants his mate instantly and is ready to do whatever it takes to claim her as soon as he gets over the shock of seeing her magic in use. Daphne is a little more wary of the situation. Her wolf is telling her to go for it while her witchy side balks, knowing Diego will try to suppress her more enchanted side.

Can Diego convince his witchy wolf he is completely under her spell, hexing side and all?'

Gotta love a sexy wolf that doesn't have a clue. Poor Diego. It took me a while to warm up to him but then I finally realized the poor man just didn't have a clue how to deal with his new Mate and her witchy ways. Daphne was definitely the smart wolf in that pairing.

Another fun, light-hearted read with lots of interesting side characters.

Always by Rebecca Royce

'Robbie Owens has fought the dragons for 17 years, leading his group of secret, elite werewolves. Tatyana Knox is a human in a world where humans are like unicorns--they simply don't exist. But she is real and she is Robbie's mate. If he can trust her, they will turn the tide of the war. But the clock is ticking and Tatyana's time with Robbie is almost up.'

I must say that Rebecca Royce always has a great way of writing her Alpha wolf males. She doesn't disappoint in this story. This is actually the third book in her Dragon War series but I haven't read the other two. I will have to remedy that.

The great thing about this particular story is that even if you haven't read the other two books in the series it was very easy to follow along the world building in this one. Tatyana and Robert were a great couple to read about. I look forward to reading about Robert's twin brother Auggie's fall into Matehood in the next book in the series.

Robert: "Your mine Tatyana...you'll always belong to me. The sooner you come to terms with being mine, the quicker I can make you come again and again."

Sigh....Need I say more?

Violet’s Shadow by Jennifer Kacey

'Violet spent her whole life searching for where she belongs. When she finds it and her shadow comes to life, it's only the beginning.

Two weeks alone in a secluded cabin is music to Violet's ears, until she sees a shadow in the forest with red glowing eyes. Red eyes she's seen in her dreams for as long as she can remember. Eyes that make her want to forget the rest of the world. But she doesn't believe in fairy tales anymore.

Razan was sent to protect her. To keep her safe. Nothing more than to guide her as she transitions into a Shadow and takes her rightful place in the pack. What he finds instead is the mate he's been unwilling to search for and a passion so fierce he'll never be able to walk away.

Violet spent her entire life aching to belong and she finally finds it in the pack of Shadows she is destined to join. Everything she's ever wanted in life and love is finally at her fingertips if she's brave enough to embrace...her Shadow. The past. The future. Truth. Lies. Nothing is as it seems when two shattered hearts are finally given the chance to heal.'

I liked the story, I really did but there was something off in the pacing of it. I felt like I had missed the beginning and was put down in the middle of the storyline. Kind of like when you miss the first 10 minutes of a movie. There was no real soft introduction to the storyline just BAM you're in it and everything was happening at once with no real feel for anything.

Then the way that Violet just easily accepted everything that was happening to her without any real confusion or surprise was rather unsettling. Including the extremely hot and steamy exhibitionist sex with her Mate right at the beginning when she didn't even know what was going on. But then again neither did I. I also found it rather funny that they had no problem with anybody watching them have sex but he had to cover her mouth when she screamed because he didn't want anyone to hear her orgasm. Uh huh, like that made any sense.

For some reason I just never really warmed up to Violet. I didn't dislike her, I just felt disconnected from her. I wish I could explain it better.

Rayden was a man railing against his fate and eventually I discovered why. Didn't really move me, but it was a nice enough story.

Wolf with Benefits by Heather Long

'After graduating college and spending a summer breaking the law, Shiloh Sullivan needs to make amends and accomplish something for Willow Bend. When she returns home, her best friend---the wolfish and playful Matt Montgomery---distracts her.

In an effort to make his mother feel better, Matt cons Shiloh into telling his mother that she came home for him. The little fib, he promises, is all his mother needs to feel better about his sister's recent mating and exodus across the ocean. Pretending a relationship with a wolf is impossible and, while Shiloh might be human, she knows the rules.

The friendly-with-benefits arrangement suits Matt fine. It makes his mother happy, helps the pack forgive his best friend, and gives him a reason to pry into the secrets Shiloh's been keeping. Still, the closer they get and the more rules they break, the more Matt's wolf wants to change their con game into a mating game. Two problems stand in his way---Shiloh's very human parents never wanted their children to take the bite, and a wolf from across the line has his eye on her, too. Can Matt keep his best friend and mate her too?'

I absolutely loved this story. Right from the beginning I was hooked and fell into it quite easily even though I have not read the rest of the series. Maybe it's because the previous story in this anthology was such a difficult read for me and so took me several evenings to finish, but when I started this one it was just such a joy to immerse myself into Matt and Shiloh's lives that it became a quick read. It kind of reminded me of Carrie Ann Ryans Westervelt Wolf and Redwood Pack series.

The only pet peeve I probably had with it was the whole 'best friends to lovers' story. Personally I find it rather irritating, and unbelievable, when the best friends growing up are of the opposite sex and yet never look at each other or consider each other sexually in all those years, especially with the whole wolves and Mate storylines.

But putting that aside, I enjoyed reading about Matt and Shiloh and look forward to reading the rest of the series now.

The Alpha’s Saving Grace by Melissa Schroeder

'Alpha Jacob Anderson doesn't have time for distractions as he hunts a vicious killer attacking his pack. Sheriff Alexandra Littlefoot is his best resource and a woman he can't seem to resist. As secrets rise to the surface, the killer's violence escalates and threatens to destroy the entire pack.'

This is another fun and quick read. The first in a new series and I believe first wolf story by the author. I'm looking forward to the sequels.

It was a little weak on the mystery aspect of the story since I figured out pretty quickly who the murderer was but since I wasn't exactly reading it for the mystery factor that was okay.

Jacob and Alexandra were another fun couple. Some hot love scenes were included so make sure to have some cold water handy while reading this short novella.

Heart of the Wolf: The Devora by Desiree Holt
Lia Popescue is searching for her roots, her werewolf roots to be exact. After reading a book that has too many things right she knows it isn’t coincidence so she sets out to talk with the author about her sources. The author is a bit freaked at her stalker like persistence and sics her cop friend, Riley Morgan on her. Their connection is instant and electrifying. While a bit slow in the beginning the story gains ground and the pace pick up. Woven in the background is a serial rapist case Riley is working. The story was a short shifter tale that I found enjoyable to read.

The Ardennes Curse: The Woolven Secret by Saranna DeWylde
Armand kills the cursed mad alpha of a pack and becomes the new alpha. Victoria, the daughter of the last alpha and the pack beta has lived her whole life with the curse. She has lost all hope. When Armand arrives to take over the pack she learns to hope once again. Both would do anything, give anything to save their pack from the curse yet the one thing that is demanded is something Armand can’t find in himself to give. This was a wonderful fairy tale of love and healing.

Odd Mate: The Odd Series by Virginia Nelson
Years earlier while they were still kids Gretchen ran from Charly thinking he would never accept a coywolf as mate. Now she’s back and her pack alpha is ordering her to infiltrate and betray Charly’s pack. Charly has searched for her for years. No other could replace her. Sparks fly when these two reunite. With a sadistic alpha set to bring down his pack and harm his mate Charly rises to the challenge. This story made me laugh at the antics of the pack’s adopted witch and her byplay with Charly. It made me feel for Gretchen and her need for acceptance. Most of all I enjoyed the liberal doses of comic book references. Seeing a geeky protective hero was a welcome change.

Running With the Wolf: The Cascadia Wolves by Gayle Donnelly
Reminiscent of Kindergarten cop with a touch of paranormal and a few twists this is a great story. Kindergarten teacher Abigail is living under an assumed name while hiding from a ruthless abusive husband. Abram has been watching and slowly falling for her for the past six months as he serves as bodyguard for his alpha’s triplets. With the requisite humor of “out of the mouth of babes”, feistiness of a woman who has had enough and the protectiveness of a hunky hero watching the villain get what’s coming to him was an enjoyable romp.

Redemption’s Forgiveness: The Rending by Cara Carnes
This one took me a little longer to get into. In no way was it because the story isn’t good but rather that the presentation of the back story, world building etc. was a little confusing having never read any of the prior books in the series. Once the background was out of the way the story moved much faster. This is a world with Succubae, dragons, wolf shifters and I’m sure other species. It’s a fascinating world. Felicity has been an Outsider ostracized and on her own since she was ten. Marek is a wolf sentinel. He finds Felicity in her wolf form wounded and attempting to protect a child she has no clue has died. From the outset he’s protective. She comes with dire warnings for his people. The ensuing tale is one of finding love and acceptance while trying to find the traitors and prevent further disasters. I finished the story ready to look for more in the series.

Under Her Spell by Brandy Walker
Daphne is a hybrid witch wolf with neither of her parents excepting her other heritage, both trying to make her give up half of herself to belong. Having spent a lifetime playing tug-a-war between her parents and bullied by her step mother Daphne won’t accept a mating where she is made to choose. So when Diego’s first response to her show of witchy powers is a bit of a freak out he sets himself up for a challenge to get his new mate to accept him. What ensues is a bit of playful witchiness, a bit of hot frustration, a slice of comeuppance and a large dose of acceptance on the way to HEA. A fun read all around.

Always: Dragon Wars by Rebecca Royce
Sci-fi, alternative world, dragons and shifters, this story has my favorites. Robbie is an alpha werewolf at war with sentient dragons. For reasons unknown to him for the last year his body has displayed all the symptoms of a mated male. Tatyana, a doctor is one of the few humans left on the planet. A few short days from now the last of the humans are scheduled to leave the planet joining their brethren in space. For the second time in a year Tatyana saves Robbie’s life. Following protocol the humans induce amnesia in their patients. Only this time it doesn’t take and Robbie is bound to claim his mate and the technology they hold that could save his species. What results is a steamy claiming, perils at the hands of a dragon queen, the angst of loss and a fight for survival.

Violet’s Shadow: Shadow Mates by Jennifer Kacey
With a unique take on wolf shifters this book took me on a gamut of emotions. Violet has experienced visions all her life. Her mother has instilled a fear of the dark and shadows in her as well as punishing her for any attempt to share her visions. Is it any wonder she runs like crazy when shadow wolf Rayden chases her through the forest to the secluded cabin she is vacationing in? Life becomes interesting when she meets the man from her visions and his pack all of whom she has seen throughout the years in her visions. While Rayden is meant to protect her from the packs archenemy he didn’t intend to mate her. Fate will have its way and he’ll meet it whether he wants to or not. Prophesies collide with surprising results. I really enjoyed this one.

Wolf With Benefits: Wolves of Willow Bend by Heather Long
Shiloh, a human pack member comes home in disgrace with a heart set on making amends. Matt, a pack wolf and her best friend since they were five is as protective and loving as always. Thinking he’ll kill two birds with one stone he suggests Shiloh move in with him as his mate to be. He’s convinced he’ll solve his mother’s despondency at the mating of his sister and her subsequent move to Italy and get the pack to lay off and accept Shiloh. When pretentious kisses turn all too hot reality shifts. Watching these two turn a lifetime of playful friendship into a lifetime of loving was a real treat.

The Alpha’s Saving Grace: Lone Star Wolf Pack by Melissa Schroeder
Jacob’s the pack alpha and mayor of a rural town and he’s hired Alex as the town sheriff. Alex’s suffering from PSTD after losing her last partner to violence in the big city. She rubs him the wrong way. He’s her boss and off limits. A pattern of murders related to their town brings them together. Discovering that irritating rub is really a mate connection sets this alpha on the chase. This was a great story with a few twists and turns along the way.

All in all this is a great anthology of wolf stories. This book was given to me for an honest review. I enjoyed it and will definitely be looking for more by the writers.

Romancing the Wolf

Where do I begin. Every story in this group blow me away. I adored every single one of them. To me this is a must buy.
Heart of the Wolf by Desiree Holt: is about Lia trying to find her history in the book Legend of the Werewolf but she finds a lot more in Calderwood. Even her mate. Beautiful story. The Ardennes Curse by Saranna DeWylde: is about a combat between Armand and Luc, Armand become the new Alpha of a group that is cursed. He meant Victoria, Luc's daughter. She just wants to help free her people from the curse.
Odd Mate by Virginia Nelson: A love story between a Witch and a Shifter. Really liked this story line and hope to see another book about it.
Running with the Wolf by Gayle Donnelly: This is a favorite story of mine. I want to go back a reread it again. I fell in love with the characters. It's funny and made me cry in parts. I loved the ending.
Redemption’s Forgiveness by Cara Carnes: There are all kinds of shifters in this story.
Under Her Spell by Brandy Walker: This is another great love story. About a wedding and all the thing that shifter's do to get ready. Also the beta Diego falls for the Alpha cousin. Who is half wolf and half witch..
Always by Rebecca Royce: This is a love story but it takes place during a war between wolves dragans and humans. Very interesting how everything works out.
Violet’s Shadow by Jennifer Kacey: Violet doesn't know she is alpha of a group of wolves, that are threaten by another group that want to kill them all. Great story.
Wolf with Benefits by Heather Long: Shiloh is human and Matt is a wolf shifter. They grow up as best friends. Shiloh goes off to college but gets into trouble and comes home. Matt tries to protect her from the wolf pack and her family. Another of my favorites.
The Alpha’s Saving Grace Melissa Schroeder: Jacob is mayor of Sanderson Texas. He hires Sheriff Alexander, she has a past from SAPD. Someone is attacking woman who lived at one time in Sanderson. They have to find out who.

Just finished reading the anthology. This is the first time I have read anything by some of the authors, others are more familiar. There is something for everyone. If you enjoy good shifter stories, I would highly recommend grabbing a copy of "Romancing the Wolf". The highs, the lows, the dangers, and the challenge of finding a mate. This anthology will take you on an emotional roller-coaster that you will want to ride again and again. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this boxed set in exchange for my honest review
Heart of the Wolf – Desiree Holt
This book gave us a fresh, new version of shifters. Lia, believing she is one of the last of her lost pack, follows leads trying to find more of her kind after her bunica dies. She has been told she must find “the book”, which had been stolen from the pack centuries ago, and that this will lead her to more pack members, if there are any left.
Following the first major lead she has had yet, she finds herself thrown together with her mate, a human that may or may not hold all the cards to give her the hand she needs. Will she find more of her kind? How will she tell her mate that he is just that? How will she tell him she’s a wolf?
Great plot and even better characters! Easy to read and a wonderful love story with a dash of excitement thrown in for good measure. Loved it!

The Ardennes Curse – Saranna DeWylde
I found this book a bit harder to follow, but once I got into it a bit more, it started to fall into place. This book leans more to the dark side of shifters and witches, with centuries old spells and curses that have affected entire packs, all because of one. It brings us to the current alpha and his quest to lift the curse. Along the way, he finds his mate, who struggles with the darkness and is reluctant to give herself totally, not wanting him to fall to the same fate.
A good story with strong characters. I enjoyed this book and how different it is from the norm.

Odd Mate – Virginia Nelson
This is the first I have read from this author, and I can honestly say it was wonderful. The plot was refreshing, keeping things flowing easily with a bit of suspense, a touch of humour and a whole lot of love. Having a pack to call your own is extremely important, and when Gretchen gets a second chance to earn a place in the heart of her “mate” and his pack, she wonders if it’s all too good to be true. Charly has been looking for his mate for many years now, having lost her trail when she ran away. When she suddenly re-appears, he hopes all will end well. Needless to say, there’s a lot of commotion going on in between the first and last page, and it would probably be safe to say that I think you should read it. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t.

Running with the Wolf – Gayle Donnelly
First off, I have to say that I loved this book. The plot had guts to it, giving us a short background on Abby, and how she came to be involved with the Cascadia pack as a kindergarten teacher. Abram, who has lusted after the petite teacher since the first day he saw her, finally has the courage to ask her out on a date. Little do either of them know what will come in the near future. With all kinds of suspense, intrigue, future telling children and a lot of love, they are thrown into the fight of their lives. Will they come out of it alive or will her past finally catch up to her and bring them all down? Excellent tale and definitely should be part of a wonderful series if it isn’t already. I would love to read about Alex and Betsy, and I’m sure there’s a great story out of Charlotte and Rory. Great read.

Redemption’s Forgiveness – Cara Carnes
This book is what I would call the paranormal version of the Apocalypse. The plot was well thought out and executed, giving us a doom and gloom outlook, yet slowly converting it to a full out sunshiny day. Throughout the book, you can see glimpses of the rays of sun filtering their way through the forest of gloom. The way Cara has taken her characters and built on their strengths and weaknesses as the story progresses is a wonderful show of her talent. She has given our heroine, Felicity, the strength of many much larger than she is, all combined into a tiny fireball full of energy and an abundance of love not yet tapped into. When Marek comes across her, weak and wounded, yet still protective of her charge, he feels the pull toward her, without realizing just what it is. Their journey is not an easy one, but hopefully pays off in the end. Although this is a standalone book, the door has been left open to continue with this as a series. I would love to read more of this miss-matched pack who will steel your heart as you read their stories.

Under her Spell - Brandy Walker
I loved this book! What an easy, relaxing read full of excitement, a little bit of dominance, a pinch of revenge, a few pranks, some hot and steamy sex, and a whole lot of love. The author has given us a paranormal love story like no other. This was a gentle tale of a mixed breed (half witch/half wolf) female, Daphne, who has come to celebrate her cousin’s wedding. He just happens to be the Alpha of the pack, but his Beta is HOT! And, he just happens to be her mate. But, will he accept her as she is? She hasn’t had many in her life whom have accepted her half breed persona. Will Diego be the one? This is a must read if you are looking for a great romantic comedy.

Always, Dragon Wars – Rebecca Royce
Now this is a story with a completely different twist to it! When I first started to read it, I wasn’t too sure if I was going to like it, but the more I read, the more I loved it. The idea of a “post human” earth, with basically only werewolves and dragons left, who are at war for control of the earth, is such an uncharted idea, that it is definitely worth reading. This would almost seem as a gentle version of the apocalypse, the only difference being that there was no atomic bombs and the earth remains intact. Of the few humans left, Dr. Tatyana is in charge of the scientific research that has ongoing for over two hundred years, overseeing the pack of werewolves, unknown to them, for quite some time. She has taken it upon herself to be their protector as such. Since childhood, she has continued to watch Robert (Robbie to everyone else) with a special interest. I won’t tell you any more, because it only gets better, and you really do have to read it to get the most out of it. Awesome read that I’m sure you will enjoy as much as I did.

Violet’s Shadow – Jennifer Kacey
Wow! What can I say? This is another example of an author doing an extraordinary job of bringing her imagination to life. She has taken the paranormal to another level, using the basic werewolf tales and expanding them to new and wonderful heights. In this tale, we encounter Violet, a shadow wolf taken from her home at birth. The reasons as to why only known by her mother. Violet is completely in the dark as to what she is. When she decides she needs to get away from it all in order to “figure out” the rest of her life, she runs to hide in the solitude of a camp in the middle of nowhere. While she believes she is alone, in reality she is surrounded by enforcers of the pack, led by Rayden, there to keep her safe and bring her ‘home”.
The plot is extremely well thought out and executed. The author has a knack of keeping you in suspense, while slowly unravelling the web of which direction the tale falls. The book is full of intrigue, hot and steamy sex scenes, fear of the unknown and what is thought to be known, and above all, lots of love. A must read for sure. I hope to read more from this author, perhaps even more of the Shadow Pack. Well done

Wolf with Benefits – Heather Long
Another great story in the Wolves of Willow Bend Series, each being a standalone, but definitely part of an ongoing saga. In this episode, we are told the tale of Shiloh and Matt, best friends since kindergarten. Together, they discover many new aspects of each other after a long separation of Shiloh attending college, then her part in developing a sixth pack in the nation. It doesn’t take long for them to fall into familiar territory with each other, as they tentatively feel out their relationship once again. Heather Long has a gift of spinning a tale, which will keep you wondering how it will all end as you progress through the story. The saga of the Willow Bend Wolves is captivating and easy to follow, even if you haven’t read any of the previous episodes. Having said that, as with most sagas, it is definitely better if you can start at the beginning. I love this series and hope to read more of it shortly.

The Alpha’s Saving Grace – Melissa Schroeder
A little bit shorter than the rest of the stories in this boxed set, but just as packed full of intrigue, humour, love and hot, steamy sex. I love the fact that the author has brought a new element into the paranormal in the form of a “familiar”, which is something I haven’t heard of in the numerous books I have read. This new twist only enhanced the plot, especially given that she has a special place being the new chief of police, Alexandra Lightfoot. The fact that Jacob Sanderson, the alpha of the pack, was drawn to her unexplainably, is simply another twist that gives meat to the plot. The characters are unique, with many quirky ways about them, and totally unfiltered. Together, they have a great story to tell, and definitely a great way to end the anthology.
Awesome read!

I love anthologies, you get so much variety for your money. Like a box of chocolates, each has a different flavour. And the best part? No Calories!

'Romancing the Wolf' is a 10 story multiple author paranormal romance anthology and I was offered the opportunity to read it in exchange for an honest review. All of the stories are complete and can be read as stand alones, even where they are part of a series. There are no cliff-hangers in the books I've read, but there are open threads for future books.

I love anthologies. You get to read new authors, visit new places and characters, and all for a very low price. I've found a whole new series to blow my book budget on this month and I'm sure there will be more to buy. Due to technical difficulties (my kindle died), I haven't finished reading it, but what I have read is fantastic. I'll update this review when I've read the rest of the stories, but based on what I've read so far, it gets a resounding 5 stars.

1 - Heart of the Wolf (The Devora) by Desiree Holt

Shifter Lia Popescu is desperate to find the book Legends of the Werewolf, her only clue as to what happened to her pack. When she loses her heart to the sexy detective Riley Morgan, she wonders how he will handle knowing the truth about her.

2 - The Ardennes Curse (Woolven Secret) by Saranna DeWylde

Victoria’s determined to free her people from the curse that forces them to become mindless, slavering terrors every full moon. Even if it means taking, Armand Rommulus, their new Alpha to mate.

3 - Odd Mate (Odd Stuff Series, #4) by Virginia Nelson

Gretchen fell in love with Charly, a sweet, nerdy bear of a man but ran fast and hard from his side when she realized he'd hate her for a genetic twist of fate she couldn't change. Now she's back in town and drawn to his side. Can a wolf sworn to destroy all coyotes claim a coywolf mate or will he be forced to destroy the only girl he ever loved?

4 - Running with the Wolf (The Cascadia Wolves) by Gayle Donnelly

Abram spends his days protecting the pack children, but he finds himself wanting more. The quiet, elusive kindergarten teacher has sparked a hunger inside him and he knows it won’t be satisfied unless he makes her his mate. When her past comes calling, he must make a choice…defy pack law and bring her into his world or let her run and lose her forever.

5 - Redemption’s Forgiveness (The Rending, Book 2) by Cara Carnes
OMG, I absolutely loved the first book in this series and this action packed and steamy addition is equally as good. Cara Carnes is rapidly becoming one of my favourite authors. Marek will do anything to protect his pack and their land, including executing any Outsiders who dare enter pack lands. There’s no soft in war—until Felicity, a curvaceous wolf with more sass than sense limps into Redemption with an impossible tale of betrayal. 5 stars.

6 - Under Her Spell (Keystone Predators, Book 1) by Brandy Walker

Diego wants Daphne as his mate instantly and is ready to do whatever it takes to make her his. Part wolf, and part witch, Daphne is a little more sceptical of the situation. Her wolf is telling her to go for it while her witchy side balks, knowing Diego will try to suppress her more enchanted side.

7 - Always (Dragon Wars #3) by Rebecca Royce

'Always' is the third book in the Dragon Wars series and is just as compelling as the previous two books, but it is a lighter paranormal romance, with hope, laughter, lots of action and a few steamy bits as well as the HEA. Dr Tatyana Knox can't believe she's stitching Robert Owens and his team of elite werewolves up again for the second time in a year. She has watched on the cameras placed everywhere there are wolves for most of her life and she thinks she has an obsession for Robert. She is drawn to him like no other, but she has to wipe his memory of her and her people, again. Robbie has been wondering what happened to his libido, he hasn't wanted sex in a year, but he's been busy with other things, like fighting dragons. His body and his wolf know he met his mate a year ago, but he has no memory of her. One of the last humans left on the planet, Tatyana and her team are preparing to go to another planet in five days, but her health has been declining over the past year for no apparent reason. This book is full of surprises, all of them good in the end. I can't wait for the next one in this series. 5 Stars.

8 - Violet's Shadow (Shadow Mates #1) by Jennifer Kacey

Violet’s spent her entire life aching to belong and she finally finds it in the pack of Shadows she is destined to join. Everything she’s ever wanted in life and love is finally at her fingertips if she’s brave enough to embrace…her Shadow.

9 - Wolf with Benefits (Wolves of Willow Bend, #6.5) by Heather Long

The seventh story in the Wolves of Willow Bend series, which is a new one for me, I loved it so much I'm going back to the beginning to start at book 1. After graduating college and spending a summer breaking the law, 24 year-old Shiloh Sullivan is treated like a leper by everyone, including her parents, but she has her best friend, wolf shifter Matt to talk to. When he moves her in with him to get her away from her family, she’s hard-pressed to refuse. But she can't pretend she doesn't know the rules about a relationship with a wolf, and even though it would make Matt's mom feel better, her parents will freak - again... 4 stars.

10 - The Alpha's Saving Grace (Lonestar Wolf Pack #1) by Melissa Schroeder

Alpha Jacob Sanderson doesn’t have time for distractions as he hunts a vicious killer attacking his pack. Sheriff Alexandra Littlefoot is his best resource and a woman he can’t seem to resist. As secrets rise to the surface, the killer’s violence escalates and threatens to destroy the entire pack.

Bring on the wolves. The compilation of authors that make up Romancing the Wolf are all talented and have a love of wolf shifter stories. They Each have a way of creating a world and telling a story that draws the reader into that world that only they could have imagined. Some othe the authors were well-known to me and others were new, and I found that they were all able to draw me in with our mutual love of wolves.

Saranna DeWylde brought us The Ardennes Curse. This story was about the small town of Malfleur that held the people captive due to terror that covered the land and left the land full of dispair. Every ruler of the land tried to break the curse and worked hard at trying to keep the people safe, but no one knew where to begin on getting to the root of the evil of the curse. So when the new Alpha shows up to rule, there is little hope that anything will change. Armand Rommulus, Alpha, may have some differences from most wolves out there, but he still has to prove himself to everyone, especially his Beta, Victoria. They disagree on many things on how to run the pack and solve the curse, but they learn to trust each other.
The author was new to me and quickly drew me in with the growth of the characters. The caring and understanding of how Armand came in caring for his pack and its survival was key to the story. Definitely a new fan of this author.

Running with the Wolf by Gayle Donnelly was a great story about the Protector Wolf Shifter, Abram Keaton, who had the task of protecting his Pack, which included the children of the Alpha. This brought him in contact with their kindergarten teacher, Abigail "Abby" Mann, who had a story of her own and also became the woman he desired. This made it difficult because wolves and humans didn't normally mix in their town, so Abram's self control had to be tested. But when Abby is placed in danger along with the children, Abram is forced to protect her and it brings them closer.
I can't tell you which part of this story I loved more. Definitely a story to read. The triplets added so much fun to the story and Gayle made the Alpha and his wife just as lovable as Abram and Abby. The story that the couples go through make you rejoice when things go well and want to punish the bad. Or maybe I just put myself in the story. Definitely love this writer.

Getting another installment of the Keystone Predators was a joy. The Beta Diego gets to have his HEA in Brandy Walker's Under Her Spell. Diego made his first appearance in his Alpha's Book, Gideon, and his humor was evident. But we also got to see that he had a heart of gold. In Under Her Spell, The Pack is getting ready for the Alpha's wedding and Diego is in charge of making sure all the details are kept under control including the Alpha's cousin. The only roadblock that Diego runs into is that he wasn't expecting to run into his Mate during the wedding. So in between all the wedding craziness, he has to deal with his hormones and wolf talking to him!
From the point I knew that that Diego was getting his own story, I was so excited. Apart from wanted to get a conclusion to Gideon & Ryder's story, I wanted to see Diego have a bit of fun. And this story definitely allowed him to do this. It also allowed his family to come into to picture and gave the rest of the brothers a bit of fun. A sure winner for the start of the series. Can't wait for more of the pack to find their mates.
Melissa Schroeder's - The Alpha's Saving Grace was the story about a small town. Most people in the town had been in the town for their entire lives but for Sheriff Alexandra Littlefoot, she was the newbie and unaware of the culture and way of life. She had a lot to learn about the people but she was a fast learner. Luckily, Mayor and Alpha Jacob Sanderson was willing to give her a chance and show her anything that she needed to know. He also had a lot of faith in her abilities and when a few past residents turn up dead, the mayor grows suspicious and needs fresh eyes to look at the evidence. This takes the Sheriff and Mayor onto a journey that is filled with danger.
But through it all, the danger, emotion, and discovering of self, the story develops the characters and tells us about the town and the world that she has created. There are definitely twists to the story and a HEA. I also enjoyed learning the new development to the characters. I am excited to see the other characters grow in later installments. The family atmosphere was built up for the Pack in this first novel.
Now I will update this as I finish the other stories/reviews. I want to make sure to give the authors their due justice! It is an amazing compilation. Definitely a must read for a Wolf lover!!!

Heart of the wolf-Desiree Holt 3 stars

A nice story that i can't say over excited me but rather made my time past quickly.
Hot steamy sex and a plot that was intresting enough to surely make me read more if it gets to be a series.

Violet's Shadow-Jeniffer Kacey 3 stars

I can say it was an intresting story but i found it all happening too fast and at times i was confused over what was happening where when and who.
Too much insecurity and whining for my taste and too much happening trying to reach a peak that for me never came.

I picked up this rather large book for five reasons: Heather Long, Saranna DeWylde, Rebecca Royce, Cara Carnes and Virginia Nelson. But it was the addition of five other reasons that put additional yummy sweet frosting on my book cake.

This little voyage started with Under the Wolf Moon, written by the keeper ladies above. I started it because of one shining star and soon the other four were shining their own lights down on me. I absolutely devoured the book and couldn’t put it down. It started me on several new journeys with some totally exceptional characters. I finished the book excited, in love, totally pissed at the ladies.

I was pissed because I then had four additional series to read on top of Long’s, Wolves of Willow Bend. I had Woolven Secret, Dragon Wars, The Rending AND Odd Series. Four new series that took no prisoners and unconditionally devoured my only remaining free time. You want to know what those evil women did…they cackled at me. Yes others probably heard them sweetly chuckling or laughing, but it was cackling. There may have even been a muahahahaha thrown in there too. Evil I tell you!

Well thank goodness they took pity on me knowing they had a gem on their hands. I was late to the initial party, being the first book was out in January and I didn’t finish it until the end of May. One of the ladies that will LONGly remain unnamed actually sent me a teaser cover shot and mentioned that the next book was releasing thankfully at the end of June (hear the cackling? I do). The cover was gorgeous and tempting to all my womanly senses (yummilicious) but it had more names included: Schroeder, Walker, Holt, Donnelly and Kacey. WHAT?!?!

I couldn’t tell you if I was shocked or thrilled. I already knew I was neck deep in some great series and now I had the potential of more great series. But on the other hand I had the continuation of my initial five beloved series. See the problem?

I held out as long as I could. It took me days, yes days to read it. That alone is a shocker. I can read a novel easily in one day. This anthology is so HUGE that it took me days. As of today, it is cheaper than an Oreo Brownie Sunday from DQ and even sweeter! That’s quite the feat, those babies are sweet and tasty. Ten amazing stories and it’s so cheap.

I won’t go into each story, but I will say each were unique and special. This anthology can be read as is, without jumping into new series, if you don’t want to, but as I sit here you would be a stronger person than me. As soon as I’m done here I’m researching to see if the additional stories are one timers or are part of additional series.

So welcome Ms. Schroeder, Ms. Walker, Ms. Holt, Ms. Donnelly and Ms. Kacey. You have firmly placed yourself in with the women I love to hate. Into a well written group of women who love to torture me with waiting for the next installment of some of my favorite series and who love to know that my thoughts are always thinking of the amazing characters they have created. You are with some fine company. These are some of the best story tellers around. Bravo to you all. You did a fanfreakingtstic job!!

All 5 Stars authors and books in this set

Heart of the Wolf by Desiree Holt 5 Stars
Full of hope
Lia is just about stalking a writer to see if she got her book material from a missing family book called Legends of the Werewolf. Friend of the author and a police officer Riley goes to talk to Lie and has an instant connection with her. Lie keeps thinking Mate when she’s with Riley. And Lie thinks that the writer husband might be a wolf as well, but is he of family lines or the enemy? Well written and very entertaining to read.

The Ardennes Curse by Saranna DeWylde 5 Stars
You know what they say about assuming
This is a wonderful love story with a great HEA. Sabrina went in search to find and talk to who she believes to be her half brother. But said brother, Andreas sends his friend Luca to keep her away from him and his family. In turn Luca believes she is Andreas ex lover but while keeping her company starts to fall for her and her for him. But mis-communication and mis-representations are in full force to keep them apart. Lots of twist and turns in the story as well as answered questions that I was surprised to find out the answer. Well written and very entertaining to read.

Odd Mate by Virginia Nelson

Running with the Wolf by Gayle Donnelly

Redemption’s Forgiveness by Cara Carnes 5 Stars
Survival and salvation
This book takes place with the world having shifters and dragons and compounds to keep packs safe. Wars between some packs are still going on but mostly by rouge or outsiders. One of the outsiders isn’t there by choice. Was dragged out of her pack by her father and then she ran from him in order to survive. Felicity believes her original pack along with her grandfather is dead. Marek comes alone her as she is making her way to the Redemption compound to warn them about her father’s planes. Marek’s attraction to her gets stronger daily. A lot happens in this well written and self-contained story.

Under Her Spell by Brandy Walker 5 Stars
Witchy Wolf who doesn’t fell she belongs
This is an interesting and very original storyline. We have the Aloha getting married and his Beta picking up people from the airport. One such ends up being his mate. But Diego seems to have foot in mouth syndrome with her. Most want her to pick one of her side, witch or wolf and not just let her be her. Will Diego be the same? Great self-contained HEA story that is well written and very entertaining to read.

Always by Rebecca Royce

Violet’s Shadow by Jennifer Kacey 5 Stars
Interesting, Intriguing and very original
Shadow people that are also wolf. A Woman Violet that is one of them and yet has never known it because she was taken away by her mother to protect her. But fate is a funny thing and you can’t run and hide from it. An enemy that set on destroying them all and an oracle who becomes friends with Violet and is the sister to her possible mate. A mate that doesn’t fell he can be her mate due to his own personal demons. This is a well written and very entertaining story to read.

Wolf with Benefits by Heather Long 5 Stars
Owning up to ones’ choices
Human Shiloh Sullivan but part of the Willow Bend pack is having problem since she came home from helping form the Three River pack. Most look at her with disdain and think of her as a traitor to their pack. Her mother is also against the things she’s done and never wants any of her children to take the bite and become wolf. Her best friend and a wolf is Matt and he comes up with the idea of pretending she came back for him to both help her and his mother. But as they live together both start having thought of more than just friendship. But it’s all a bit more complicated they that. Well written and very exciting and entertaining to read. This may be part of a series of books but it’s a self-contained story. Very enjoyable to read.

Such a great variety of stories at a fantastic price. I highly recommend this box set for PNR readers.

Heart of the Wolf by Desiree Holt

Lia is still reeling from the loss of her Grandmother, her last family member, and the information her Grandma shared with her before she died. There is a book that could lead Lia to the rest of her pack, which had scattered after being attacked by a rival pack. Lia has a lead on this book due to a recently released book, Wolf, by an author, Jamie, that seems to have a lot of accurate information. Lia wants to talk with Jamie, yet Jamie and her husband, Mike, are a little concerned because Lia's desperation is coming off as almost stalkerish. Jamie asks her friend Riley, a detective, to talk to Lia and give her his impression. Of course, there's an instant connection between Riley and Lia, they're mates. Yay! Will Lia get to talk to Jamie? How does Jamie know so much about shifters? Will Riley understand and accept Lia's secret? Do they have a future together?

Running with the Wolf by Gayle Donnelly

Abram is in charge of protecting the alpha's triplets. He loves the triplets and takes his job seriously. It doesn't hurt that he's very smitten with their teacher, Abby. Abram has fought the pull because she's human and he wants her safe, but he can't fight it anymore. They both have secrets though and those secrets end up intertwining into one threat. Will they survive and get their HEA? Fingers crossed. ;-)

Wolf with Benefits by Heather Long

I love this story. Shiloh is back in Willow Bend after helping Luciana start a sixth pack in a previous book. Shiloh is human, but has always been a part of the Willow Bend pack. Her best friend, Matt, is so happy to have her back, yet hates that she's suffering because of her actions. Shiloh was trying to help the Lone Wolves find a home, but some people only see that she went against their pack and the laws. Matt has the perfect idea to protect her, while helping his Mom focus on something else besides his sister, Margo, living in Italy since she mated. He and Shiloh will let everyone think they're mates. Shiloh agrees with Matt's idea, but is worried it'll ruin their lifelong friendship. Pretend quickly becomes reality as they realize what was always there, they just never recognized it, they truly are mates. The pack starts treating Shiloh like nothing happened and she and Matt are deliriously happy. But how will Shiloh's Mom react to her wanting Matt to turn her? I don't think it's necessary to read the previous books to be able to follow along as Heather does a great job of including enough of those details so you don't feel lost. However, I recommend you read all of the books as it's a great series.

The Alpha's Saving Grace by Melissa Schroeder

Alex suffered a tragedy at her previous job and definitely needed a change. She ends up working as the chief, hired by the mayor, and alpha, Jacob. They both have trouble keeping their fantasies about each other contained, until Jacob finally realizes why...she's his mate. Of course, Alex has no idea that Jacob is a werewolf. So not only will that news shock her, but so will the truth of her own heritage, as she knows nothing about her own family since she was raised in foster homes. What is Alex? How does her ancestry tie into Jacob's ancestry? Can Alex accept all these changes and her new mate? Buy it. Read it. You'll love it.

1. Heart of the Wolf the Devora: Desiree Holt—Interesting storyline with good series potential! Lia is trying desperately to fulfill her dying grandmother’s last request and find a long lost book with information to lead her to the scattered remnants of her pack long ago lost having fled the decimation by a rival pack. Her only lead is a new author whose source material seems to coincidental to not be the book she seeks. Unfortunately in her desperation to get the author alone and find out more she ends up with a cop checking her, not unfortunately he turns out to be her mate! Things go zero to sixty in hours, from lunch, to bed, to moving in, Lia and Riley’s connection is off the charts! But Lia has to be cautious not knowing if she is finding Pack or the Others, or if she has even found the book, with Riley’s help though she finds so much more than she anticipated! Five stars *****
2. The Ardennes Curse: Saranna DeWylde
3. Odd Mate: Virginia Nelson
4. Running With The Wolf: Gayle Donnelly
5. Redemption’s Forgiveness: Cara Carnes
6. Under Her Spell: Brandy Walker
7. Always: Rebecca Royce—Wow humans do really like to play God! Of course we suck at it and found yet another way to annihilate ourselves. Third in the Dragon Wars series but can be read alone (although I REALY suggest reading Forever and Eternal first as there is crossover and they are GREAT books). I hate to spoil to much but this is a truly awesome story with equally awesome characters; at its heart is a love story, born from war and long ago made “mistakes” Robert (Robbie) Owens is a werewolf in the elite forces of the Dragon Wars, long ago having given up on finding a mate or ever even living to see the end of the war, he sees his end when attacked by a dragon and has an artery nicked. To his surprise he wakes up in an infirmary looking at his mate. Even more surprisingly his mate is human and it’s not the first time they have met, even though he does not remember it! Robert and Tatyana have a lot to overcome to be together (dragons, her impending exodus, interspecies issues, death and loss) can they do it? I definite must read! Five plus stars *****+
8. Violet’s Shadow: Jennifer Kacey
9. Wolf With Benefits: Heather Long—Great story and characters; funny how love can be right under your nose but not seen till you leave and come back! This was my first for the Wolves of Willow Bend series and I find I now need to read more! Matt and Shiloh have been friends for most of their lives, he’s wolf she’s human pack. Shiloh has made some decisions that have turned the pack against her, except for a few, and Matt comes up with the brilliant idea to help his Mom get over his sisters mating and moving to another country and get the pack to accept Shi again in one fell swoop. All he has to do is convince Shi to “pretend” to be his mate-to-be. Problem is once they set off down that road each finds they want to just “pretend” less and less! Throw in some family drama and it rounds out to an enticing read full of emotion. Five stars*****
10. The Alpha’s Saving Grace: Melissa Schroeder

Hands down one of the best shifter anthologies I've read.
Heart of the Wolf - The Devora - by Desiree Holt
Lia and Riley, good story with suspense and humor combined. Fast-paced and well-written, solid plot and characters.
The Ardennes Curse -- The Woolven Secret by Saranna DeWylde
Different shifter story, good plot and characters. Armand and Victoria, Armand is the new Alpha, and Victoria is determined to break the curse on her pack.
Odd Mate - The Odd Series - by Virginia Nelson
Gretchen and Charly, interesting story, liked the humor.
Running With the Wolf - The Cascadia Wolves - by Gayle Donnelly
Loved the plot and characters. Abram and Abby, Abram guarding the Alphas triplets at school. Falls for the schoolteacher who is human and hiding from abusive ex-husband. Enjoyed this story very much.
Redemption's Forgiveness - The Rending - by Cara Carnes
I found this story confusing in the beginning, obviously I missed some world building in previous books. I did however get into the story and really enjoyed it. Good solid plot and characters.
Under Her Spell - by Brandy Walker
As usual, Brandy Walker gives us a great story. Diego and Daphne come together for Gideon and Ryder's wedding. She's half wolf and half witch and has a heck of a time fitting in. He's all male wolf who doesn't know what the make of the magic, but knows she's his mate. Well-written with great characters.
Always - Dragon Wars - by Rebecca Royce
Robbie and Tatyana live in a very different world of dragon and wolf wars. No humans are supposed to exist, but they do and have been watching the dragons for years. Tatyana has been especially watching Robbie. Well-written and fluid story.
Violet's Shadow - Shadow Mates - by Jennifer Kacey
Violet and Rayden. Violet finds out who, and what, she really is, only to find she's on someone's evil radar. Really good story. Excellent world building, good plot and lots of depth to the characters. And, yes, lots of hot sex.
Wolf With Benefits - Wolves of Willow Bend - by Heather Long
Heather Long always produces a well-written, fluid, sexy romance, and this is no exception. Shiloh returns to Willow Bend on probation. Her mother tries to keep her tied to the house and people she's known for years shun her. Her best friend, Matt, tries to distract her by pretending a relationship between them. Wolf With Benefits is a sweet, best friends to lovers romance, very entertaining. Fantastic series.
The Alpha's Saving Grace - Lone Star Wolf Pack - by Melissa Schroeder
Great short story with a little of everything. Alpha Jacob Sanderson and Sheriff Alexandria Littlefoot come together when a killer's violence begins to escalate. A flowing well-written story, great plot and characters.

Romancing the Wolf is an anthology that features 10 stories by some fantastic authors. Of the ten authors included seven were authors that I never read before. Usually when you read an anthology there are some good and some not so much as far as content. I found only two of the ten stories that I was unable to complete. Overall this is a great collection of work. While I have read the entire book, I am only going to highlight a few of the stories.
To point out a few good points Gayle Donnelly’s Running With The Wolf included intrigue and humor. The triplets that Abram was assigned to protect gave this story such a light sense while dealing with some tough topics, including domestic violence. Unka A (Abram) was forever sticking his foot in his mouth and when Rina punches him “in the zipper” for kissing Abby when they weren’t married, I couldn’t help but laugh. The way the pack joined together to protect the children, s well s the mates and the entire pack was great.
In Under Her Spell, by Brandy Walker, it was interesting to see how the issue of a hybrid wolf/witch was handled. While her parents definitely caused many of the issue by demanding she choose one side of herself over the other, some of Daphne’s problems were self-inflicted. She assumed that everyone was against her. I was most intrigued by how the author handled the step-mom Mona. That was an action I had not seen in other books. I can only imagine what shenanigans Daphne and Ryder would get into next.
The Alpha’s Saving Grace, Lone Star Wolf Pack by Melissa Schroeder was an interesting read. While I am still a little confused by the relationship between Alex’s people and the Sanderson wolves, the story fit well and was a pleasure to read. I definitely didn’t expect the killer to be who was revealed.
Wolf With Benefits, by Heather Long is a great addition to her Wolves of Willow Bend series. Shiloh has been allowed back in to Willow Bend after having left to help Three Rivers become a pack. Her family are humans living among the pack. When she is allowed to return, many see her as a traitor to the pack. It takes her best friend, Matt, who realizes she is his mate, to help heal the wounds of the pack. While this can be read as a stand-alone story, it doesn’t make much sense without the context of the other stories.

Romancing the Wolf Box Set. What an awesome collection of paranormal stories !! Deep characters, different and interesting plots, and super hot sexiness make these well worth your time !! These authors are already respected and solid. I have read books from nearly all of these special writers. Enjoy them.
"Always" Dragon Wars #3, by Rebecca Royce
Robert and Tatyana are meant to be. Robert is an Alpha wolf, so fierce in battle, so strong and menacing. This super hot guy knows Tatyana is his mate. She doesn't know, but she does feel the emotional pull toward him. Lots of action, dragon fights, high tech sci-fi happenings in the futuristic world. You'll love the very different tale of paranormal battles and excellent characters that fight for each other. You will never go wrong with a Rebecca Royce Story. Highly recommend. ENJOY !!!

Violet's Shadow, by Jennifer Kacey:
Violet and Rayden and awesome together. Wow, this different story is enthralling. Couldn't put it down. Great characters, deep and thought - filled, with super hot sex, and an interesting plot. Very different. You'll love it ! ENJOY !!

Wolf with Benefits (Wolves of Willow Bend) by Heather Long
Loved these characters !! Shiloh and Matt, terrific. Matt is awesome, wonderful wolf and mate. Shi just needed his patience in realizing they were meant for each other since they were kids. Best friends always, and now mates, has the pages steaming, and an interesting story. Heather Long is a great writer ! You'll be happy you read this one !! ENJOY !!!

I really enjoyed this group of stories about wolf shifters. Many of the authors were new to me and I will definitely check out their work. Each story is well-written and very engrossing. They are complete stories with no cliff-hangers. I am a fast reader and it took me days to read the complete collection. It is a great collection at a great price

My favorites:

Odd Mate (Odd Stuff Series, #4) by Virginia Nelson- a second chance at love story. Misunderstandings and assumptions kept them apart and now they have the chance to be together if they can be honest.

Running with the Wolf (The Cascadia Wolves) by Gayle Donnelly- Abram is tough but has a really big heart. I love how embarrassed he gets about his crush on the kindergarten teacher.

Redemption’s Forgiveness (The Rending, Book 2) by Cara Carnes - Felicity is amazingly strong and finally has a chance at reclaiming the family she lost.

Under Her Spell (Keystone Predators, Book 1) by Brandy Walker - Daphne is part witch and part wolf and 100% fun. She makes Diego work for it.

Always (Dragon Wars #3) by Rebecca Royce - I have read the other two stories about his brothers and it was great to meet Robbie. This one really changes everything in the series.

Violet's Shadow (Shadow Mates #1) by Jennifer Kacey - I was very intrigued by the Shadows and learning more about Violet's past and future. A very gripping story.

The Alpha's Saving Grace (Lonestar Wolf Pack #1) by Melissa Schroeder - Jacob has been fighting his feelings but can't any longer. Alex learns more about what she really is and her very interesting connection to the pack.

The Ardennes Curse (Woolven Secret) by Saranna DeWylde

Odd Mate (Odd Stuff Series, #4) by Virginia Nelson

Redemption’s Forgiveness (The Rending, Book 2) by Cara Carnes

Under Her Spell (Keystone Predators, Book 1) by Brandy Walker

Always (Dragon Wars #3) by Rebecca Royce

Violet's Shadow (Shadow Mates #1) by Jennifer Kacey

The Alpha's Saving Grace (Lonestar Wolf Pack #1) by Melissa Schroeder

Wolf with Benefits (Wolves of Willow Bend) by Heather Long

Shiloh Sullivan spent the time after graduating to let loose and have fun but now it is time for her to set things right and be an adult. Moving in with the sexy Matt Montgomery was suppose to be a friendship thing and nothing more but things don't always turn out the way you think they would.

Wow this was an amazing read. Each of these stories has fantastic characters and their interaction with each other was great. The story line flow in each story was so smooth and a pleasure to read.

This is for mature paranormal romance book lovers because of sexual content. This is an amazing set of stories by 10 authors who know how to tell a tale.
