~~~~~
She’s a witch looking for the love of her life…
Willow Davies is pinning all of her hopes on the Summer Solstice Celebration. She calls to the Goddess Aphrodite in the light of the moon to help find the love of her life, the man who is meant to complete her heart and soul, and Aphrodite answers. But Aphrodite warns that love can be surprising and by the Gods she meant it.
He’s the warlock she’s always seen as her nemesis…
Cedric Stone is ready to claim Willow as the love of his life, except she still considers him the enemy. They’ve known each other all of their lives and after a blind date gone horribly wrong, thanks to him, he realizes he’s in love with her. It’s his good fortune when he shows up on her doorstep and sees her wearing an enchanted moonstone, a gem known to be worn by those looking for love. It’s the perfect way into her life.
What happens when he becomes the one she can’t live without?
As the days go by and they spend more and more time together, Willow begins to wonder how much of Cedric’s attention is because he truly is in love with her or because she’s wearing an enchanted moonstone.
NOTE: Mystic Zodiac is a 12 book series. It is NOT a serial. Each book ends in a happily ever after for the main couple. However, the prologue and epilogue of each story follows the Gods that kick off the series, Eros and Chlotho (aka Chloe). At the end of the series the bet between the two will come to a conclusion.
Willow is a story about guiding destined mates to their forever lasting love; but a few fences need mending before that happens. The quality and smoothness of Brandy's writing is dynamic as she lures the reader into an UNFORGETABLE story leaving you amazed and wanting more!
The characters: APHRODITE: Goddess of Love; EROS: God of Love and desire, matchmaker; CHLOE (Chlotho) the Fate of birth-matchmaker; Willow: the green eyed, audacious, intelligent, sexy, beautiful witch; Cedric; memorizing forest-green eyes, charismatic, incorrigible flirt-he'd knock Casanova right off the map, and belongs on the front cover of People Magazine as the SEXIEST man alive, clever, powerful, warlock; Edward: Willow's black cat;
Eros gives Chloe the tough job of getting Willow and Cedric together.
Twenty-eight year old Willow is saddened as she has not yet found her one true love. Determined to find true love before the end of the Summer Solstice Celebration, Willow does a spell under the waxing moon to charge her moonstone necklace asking Aphrodite to help find her one true love. Legend states the moonstone will only get warm/hot when you are near your one true love.
Cedric and Willow have been bickering since kindergarten. Willow feels he has never been kind to her. Cedric is only trying to get her attention any way he can; he even went as far as prancing around her with a date just to get her attention-it didn't work. Willow certainly has trust issues with Cedric; he probably has bedded the entire signal female population in town. Plus she feels he has never grown up. Willow has taken up permanent residence in Cedric's entire being; he loves her, so he comes up with a master plan to win her heart, prove to her she's the only woman for him and that (Peter Pan has left the building and is never coming back). The banter between Willow and Cedric superb. The romance is fiery and passionate. An unexpected astonishing magical reveal. Fantastic story; (No cliffhanger) Loved this story and can't wait for the next. (I was given an arc for an honest review).
Willow asked for Aphrodite’s help to find her true love so why is Cedric Stone the bane of her existence standing at her door in this magical paranormal romance.
Cedric has decided it’s time to let Willow know just how he feels and is quite surprised to find her wearing an enchanted moonstone around her neck and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the magical energy and fiery sparks that flow from the pages while Willow and Cedric try to figure out how they fit together. They are both strong charismatic characters with magic to spice up their personalities but they seem to have a small problem in the relationship department which leads to some charming and fun encounters that readers can certainly relate to while enjoying the humorous side of it and the smooth flowing plot entrances readers with just the right amount of suspense, magic and romance.
Another magical Zodiac story that is full of entertaining romance full of fun and passion and Chloe and Eros’s little game is getting hotter and hotter which adds additional spice to the story and I can’t wait to read about the next couple Eros has in store for Chloe.
This loosely connected series just keeps getting better and hotter as does the interplay with Eros and Chlotho. In this months edition Eros challenges Chlotho to get Willow (a witch) and the boy who has bugged her from kindergarten Cedric (a warlock) together. If she has to hit up his mother, the Goddess Aphrodite, for a little help well he never said she couldn’t. Watching the sparks fly between Cedric and Willow is entertaining but when they catch fire - break out the fire extinguisher. I am loving this series and look forward to the next installment.
Oh this is my favorite so far.
Willow believes she is destined to become an old maid..
Cedric is the playboy of the magical world..
They have known each other since they were 5. And it was a love/hate relationship.
Have they grown up enough to find love or will this diecast forever.
Can Aphrodite truly help Willow find her destined mate? Will it be to late?
This is definitely my favorite so far for this series, even though I truly love them all so far.
Looking for to the,next 6months.
Great job Brandy Walker
All Fire & Lightening...
Eros & Chloe continue on their bet to see if Chloe can match up Mystics in the perfect love connections. As the year goes on the challenges get harder and the attraction between Eros and Chloe becomes more intense. Midway through the bet is wearing on both parties.
Willow Davies and Cedric Stone are two individuals that have been intertwined in each other lives since the age of 5. Willow , a witch, has been looking for love, but to her disappointment, it hasn't been easy to come by.
Cedric, a warlock, and Willow's nemesis, has made her life hell since they met, has now realized that the thing that he truly needs is right in front of him, but it is not going to be that easy to achieve.
This is the hardest thing to prove for two stubborn witches. And while Cedric does everything to invade Willow's space, there are many things they have to fight against, including each other.
This story came together wonderfully and had a few surprises that I didn't expect. While the stories are stand-alone, I enjoyed the reoccurring characters in this one.
The relationship between Cedric and Willow, even though they knew each other a long time, they still did not just happen and that was great because she had to believe it, and the chemistry was definitely EXPLOSIVE when it did!
When Eros gives Chloe her newest couple to match, it's going to be tough, even throwing Aphrodite into the mix. Cedric, the warlock, has been a nuisance and pestered Willow since they were little, in the ways that little boys needing attention do. Unfortunately, Cedric seems to have taken a long time to grow up and, after setting Willow up on a date gone wrong, Cedric starts to sort out what his real feelings are. Willow has called on Aphrodite to help her find her true love by the time the Summer Solstice is over. With an enchanted moonstone to help, Willow sets out looking for her true love. It cannot possibly be Cedric, the randy warlock and bane of her existence. Cedric is frantic now to prove that warlocks can change their stripes and that his feelings for Willow are real, but she's not going to make it easy for him. Willow is a well-written, easy to read, sexy short story with thoroughly enjoyable characters. A stand-alone, as are all in the Mystic Zodiac series, Willow has left me eagerly waiting for the July's challenge.
I did receive an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review.
Willow is the sixth book in Brandy Walker’s Mystic Zodiac Series. Each book can be read as a standalone story but I do love following the series order. Another month, another couple to match for Chloe and this time Eros selected a witch and warlock, who have a long history between them. It is fun, light read and I enjoyed both Willow and Cedric. I liked the idea that Willow was reluctant to Cedric’s charm, made him show her that he was sincere and the ending was perfect. I was happy to see Celeste and Owen make an appearance with Willow’s book plus I found the story surrounding Willow’s familiar, Edward, enjoyable. It is a must read for anyone that enjoy paranormal romance.
I really enjoyed this one. After reading the blurb I had this image in my head of what i thought Cedric was going to and it was not so a nice of picture. Boy was I glad I was wrong because Cedric was such a great character and I liked him right away. Chloe is tasked with her next couple to match and she has he work cut out for her. Cedric sure has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to prove to Willow he is a changed man. They have history going way back to grade school and to witch Willow Cedric, a warlock, is enemy number one. He has set in motion a plan to prove she is the life of his life. He has a moonstone to contend with on top of everything else.
This is a fun series and although each book can be read as a stand alone I think they are that much better read in order. I like Willow! At first I wanted to punch Cedric but when he finally pulled his head out of his behind I found I liked him a lot. He actually had his act together a lot more than Willow and I thought. A fun, sexy, smart, must read!
