I'm confused with this book. It was really good but left me wondering what I missed. There are references to others in the book but left open ended with, "that's another story" and then the reader is supposed to know what that story is and I got a bit lost. It also seems to end in a very confusing cliffhanger. So no satisfying ending at all.
Cheating = h and H are in a "chosen" mate situation that is more of an arranged marriage. h and H in the beginning appear happy and very loving...come to find out the H has begun an affair with his fated mate who the pack would not approve as she is a "cursed" human (human born to shifter parents). H had been given the opportunity to leave the pack to live a "human" existence with his fated (human can never be told about the shifters, big no-no, so if he wanted her he would have to give up the pack) or stay in the arranged mating to become alpha. h finds out thorough checking videos. She then obsesses about watching all the videos as far back as she can and then watching the H with OW in real time to torture herself more. It was really heartbreaking and you see the h spiral. h eventually pulls herself up by her boot straps and leaves, but here's the confusing cliffhanger...H appears to swoop in and is taking the h back (h is not willing). The book ends. WHAT? Will there be another???
h sees H with OW = see above and the numerous videos where the h watches and hears the H with the OW
Unsure about the "other" stories referenced to in the book. The other published books do not have those characters mentions. Is it on some other platform? Dunno, but would be interested in continuing this is it becomes a series.
