Having magic isn't everything it's cracked up to be. In fact, Ronnie is certain that magic is the reason John is avoiding her. Born with the power of the Chickcharney, legend says she is charmed and as a shifter, she holds the power to grant wishes.
If this myth holds true, Ronnie stands to lose more than her heart and will leave her with one decision...
K.R. Thompson was raised in the mountains of rural Virginia. She resides in Bland County with her husband, son, two cats and an undeterminable amount of chickens. She is an avid reader, firm believer of magic, and still watches for evidence of Bigfoot in the mud of Wolf Creek. She can be found on her website-- http://authorkrthompson.wix.com/theke...
This novella introduces us to Ronnie, a shifter who has just gotten her heart broken by John. She loves him so much that she is willing to do the unthinkable....sorry, no spoilers here. This short read written by K.R. Thompson was truly an enjoyable read as I quickly found myself engrossed by this magical world of assorted shifters and beings. This story was beautifully detailed and left you wanting more. The only thing I didn't like was that it was over far to quickly but it is a novella and I'll soon discover more when I begin to read The Keeper Saga.
Ronnie is devastated when her boyfriend John breaks up with her. She decides the reason he did is because he found out that she has magic. She hopes her friend Nikki still has Wynter's book so she can take away her magic. But when she learns Nikki destroyed that book, Ronnie turns to Wynter for help. Will Wynter help Ronnie with what she desires? Will Ronnie get John back and is her having magic the true reason John ended things? Find out in this wonderful short story!
It was great to read an off shoot story of one of the other magical characters. The author definitely intrigues you to want to learn about the other back stories. Although I was hoping that she was actually going to give us more information on the chickarney but she really didn't, she just regurgitated what was said in the last book about it. The ending left an opening for more to come which was great. It's worth the read.
Short but good! We know what Ronnie is now and wow that was something else learning about his magic self! All around this story was magical and enjoyed reading it. You have my true feelings on how wonderful this story, so full of shifters and magical creatures of all kinds! You won't be sorry
As owls are one of my favorite animals, I would totally love to be a chickcharney! I'm totally jealous of Ronnie lol, but at least I share her name, since magic isn't totally real lol. Loved this novella.
I absolutely Loved the Keeper Saga and was sad that it ended. I was so happy to read this novella that is a spin-off from the Keeper Saga. I was hooked from the beginning and could not put it down. It was so good that I was sorry to see it end and am hoping for more from these characters. Like all of Mrs. Thompson's books it is a great read. It makes you wish you could travel into her books and visit with her characters that are so endearing that you think of them as friends. Really Great Read!
Another awesome read by K.R. Thompson, this novella, a spin off to the Keeper Saga is an amazing short story. Beautifully detailed with brilliant characters really its just fantastic! Looking forward to many more books by this author.. Keep them coming Ms Thompson... Recommend this book to all fans of K.R. Thompson, if you haven't read anything by her, you really should grab one of her awesome books!
Ronnie and John were a couple for almost two years. John told Ronnie he felt they needed a break. Of course, Ronnie was heart broken. Since John was completely human, Ronnie wanted to kill her animal (a large owl). When John broke off their relationship, it was when he got his animal. He was scared. Their is a happy ending, but you need to read this book to find out what happened. Enjoy!
i really loved this continuation of the hidden saga even though it is a spin iff i really hope the author plans to write more stories to this saga a very well written novella
I liked how this book was told from Ronnies POV and how it continued where the last book left off. I have enjoyed reading all of the books in The Keeper Series. Enjoy these books if you like magic.
