Expected 6 Apr 27An unputdownable new thriller from the internationally bestselling author of The Favorite Girl, about a woman who has kept her family's secrets buried for years, but now the love of her life is digging them up, perfect for fans of Jeneva Rose, Freida McFadden, and Noelle Ihli.
He was directing the story for the world to see. Little did he know he was protecting its villain. Me.
Mila Winston has always been obsessed with death. Ever since the tragic deaths of her mother and sister, she has enabled her macabre obsession by writing obituaries for the living. Deciding a change of scenery might change her perspective, Mila swaps the close, claustrophobic small town of Sunny Oaks, North Carolina, for the bright lights of New York City. All the glitz and glamour seem to push Mila's demons aside...temporarily.
When a documentary begins filming about the disappearances and murders of a group of teenage girls, Mila knows it's only a matter of time before they come knocking on her door. Because she knows more about death than anyone knows, and now she has to change the story to make sure it leads away from her own family secrets. There's just one problem: Mila's fiancé is the one directing the documentary.
But it's only a matter of time before the people closest to her start uncovering the skeletons in her closet. Because once they start finding and counting bodies, they're going to realize that one is missing. Because only one person knows, and she needs to keep the world from finding out the whole, bloody truth.

Do you prefer your thrillers to be dark, twisted, and full of family secrets? If that’s your kind of book, then “Let Me Show You” should be at the top of your TBR list. Monica Arya creates such an engaging story that I kept telling myself I'd read just one more chapter. But the short and irresistible chapters are a trap!
Thanks to Monica Arya and Simon Maverick Books for providing an ARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own and shared voluntarily.
Mila Winston has left behind her tiny North Carolina hometown (and its BRUTAL secrets) and reinvented herself in New York, where she crafts obituaries for the living. It’s an odd job, but it sounds fascinating!
When a documentary crew starts unearthing the mysteries behind missing and murdered teenage girls, Mila senses her long-hidden secrets are at risk of exposure, especially since her own fiancé is the one directing the project.
This book ticks nearly all my thriller must-haves: short chapters, shifting viewpoints, a timeline that jumps between past and present, tangled family secrets, and a protagonist lugging around enough emotional baggage to bankrupt an airline. Mila is hiding so much that I questioned how she even got through the day. I’d be dying to talk to someone!
The pace picks up, and the shifting perspectives kept me second-guessing everything and everyone. With its dark themes and trigger warnings, this book is not for the faint of heart. Check the content warnings before reading. But if you crave psychological thrillers that are unsettling, twisty, and stuffed with chaotic family drama, this one is a must-read.
My final rating is 4.25 out of 5 stars. This book was gripping, addictive, and left me deliciously disturbed. There is something entertaining about watching fictional characters spiral into chaos while hiding the worst kinds of secrets.

IF you love dark thrillers, you will love everything this author writes. She always has trigger warnings posted, so please read those and then DIVE IN! This kind author loves to give us a dark story and let you imagination run wild.
Mila has an obsession with death. After all her mother and sister died tragically. She pens obituaries, BUT not for the dead, FOR the living. She moves away from her small town in NC to NYC, hoping to move forward.
The past comes calling when a documentary starts looking into the past disappearance and murder of teenage girls.
Family secrets, mean girls, obsession, dark thoughts, love, revenge and more.
Mila’s family home holds more than the family. Her family is very unique and revenge might be coming. To add to the suspense her fiancé is overseeing the documentary. Can she keep her past a secret as a reunion in her old town is the perfect setting?
Arya really brings out all the dark secrets and this is the perfect book for a horror movie. Just saying.

LET ME SHOW YOU by Monica Arya
Monica Arya has done it again. She never disappoints when it comes to UNHINGED thrillers! The millennial nostalgia was perfection. I absolutely loved the Easter egg nods to her previous books. Amazing book and outstanding cover!

My girl Monica sure knows how to write an unhinged, wild ride of a book.
Let Me Show You took me straight back to high school with burnt CDs, wildly over-plucked eyebrows, low-rise jeans, and all the questionable decisions that came with that era. The nostalgia in this one was SO good and definitely had me reminiscing about a time when we apparently thought those eyebrows were a good idea.
This book kept me guessing from beginning to end. Every time I thought I had things figured out, Monica would throw something else at me and have me questioning everything all over again. There were so many moments where I was like, “Okay, surely THIS is where this is going…” and nope.
I also lost a few nights of sleep to this book because I kept telling myself, “Just one more chapter.” We all know how that goes. And then there were a couple of times when I probably should have stopped reading before bed because I’d get to something disturbing and immediately think, Well…guess I’m not sleeping now. Nothing like lying in the dark replaying a scene in your head and wondering why you do this to yourself.
The characters are messy, the story is twisty, and there were plenty of WTF moments that kept me glued to the pages. I loved never quite knowing what was coming next, and that made this such an easy book to binge.
Overall, this was a seriously entertaining read with the perfect combination of nostalgia, suspense, questionable decisions, and just enough unhinged chaos to keep me hooked. Monica, you definitely know how to keep a girl reading way past her bedtime.
Thank you to Monica Ayras, the publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review Let Me Show You

Thank you NetGalley and Simon Maverick Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
“Let Me Show You” by Monica Arya did not disappoint with the thriller aspects. This book is completely unhinged in the best possible way. This is probably one of the most unhinged books I’ve ever read with a lot of death, unexpected twists, and kidnappings (so many kidnappings!)
We follow Mila, who has escaped her very messed-up family and started a new life in New York. Sounds great, right? Except a documentary is being made about the disappearances and murders of three teenage girls from Mila’s hometown, and Mila knows way more about what happened than she’s letting anyone believe. Even worse? Her fiancé is the one directing the documentary.
I really enjoyed the way the story slowly lets you piece everything together. The dual timelines worked really well because every time I thought I understood what happened in the past, another piece of information would come along and make me question everything and everyone again. I was suspicious of literally everyone, including Mila, the narrator.
The millennial nostalgia was perfect. The posters, flip phones, music, and all those little details about growing up in the 2000s were so much fun. But underneath all that nostalgia is a very dark story involving bullying, family trauma, disappearances, and some seriously disturbing secrets. This family is a lot, to say the least. They’re all messed up in some way. In fact, basically everyone is messed up in this book.
There were a couple moments where the story got a little confusing, and some of the characters didn't always feel completely realistic, especially with how they talked to me. But honestly, I was having too much fun trying to figure out what the hell was going on to care that much.
Because the twists were numerous and unexpected. Just when I thought, “Okay, I finally figured this out,” Monica Arya threw another twist at me. Then another. And another. There were also a lot of kidnappings in this book. Way more than I expected.
I genuinely did not see the ending coming, and I absolutely love when a thriller can pull that off. This was one of those books where I kept changing my theory every five minutes and then eventually just accepted that I had no idea what was happening.
Completely chaotic. Completely messed up. Completely entertaining.
If you like twisty thrillers, dual timelines, unreliable narrators, deeply dysfunctional families, and books that make you repeatedly whisper “what is happening?” to yourself, definitely add this one to your TBR. While there were some parts that could have been developed more, I’m giving this book 5 stars because of just how wild and unpredictable it was. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and when I finished reading it, I immediately called my sister and told her every crazy thing that happened.

“Because I knew better than anyone that closets don’t just store clothes. They store the things you pray no one ever opens. They store skeletons.”
WHAT DID I JUST READ?! 😳
I went into this completely blind, and I am so glad I did because this book took me on an absolute RIDE.
I spent the majority of it suspicious of literally everyone. Every time I thought I had figured something out, I changed my mind. Then I changed it again. Then something else happened and apparently I knew absolutely nothing. 😂
There were so many little details throughout the story that seemed insignificant at first, but as everything started coming together, I realized just how much had been sitting right in front of me. THE BAGELS. 😂 I was questioning everything.
And Mila?! I couldn’t decide if I wanted to hug her, protect her, shake her, or maybe be slightly afraid of her. Sometimes all four at once.
This book is dark, disturbing, twisted, emotional, and completely unhinged in the best possible way. There were multiple moments where I actually stopped reading just to process what I had learned before I could keep going.
And that last chunk of the book?! EXCUSE ME?! Every time I thought we had reached the big reveal, the book basically said, Oh, you thought we were done? That’s cute.
I also really loved the writing. There were several lines I stopped and highlighted because underneath all of the insanity, there was actually a lot here about trauma, identity, memory, family, and what happens when you’ve spent your entire life carrying other people’s secrets.
By the end, all I could think was: these people are absolutely not okay. 😂
And somehow the ending was exactly the kind of ending this story needed.
I couldn’t put it down. I had theories. Most of them were wrong. I questioned everybody. I probably questioned myself at some point. 😂 And I had SO much fun reading it.
Easy 5 stars for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And the fact that Let Me Show You was my first ever ARC?! I fear the bar has now been set ridiculously high. 😳📚
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I received Let Me Show You by Monica Arya as an ARC via NetGalley. Thank you to Simon Maverick Books, Monica Arya, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Mila Winston has always had a fascination with death. After the tragic loss of her mother and sister, her obsession takes an unusual turn: writing obituaries for people who are still alive. Hoping for a fresh start, Mila leaves her small hometown behind for the bright lights of New York City. But when a documentary begins investigating the disappearances and murders of several teenage girls, Mila realizes it's only a matter of time before her family's secrets come to light. And there's one person who might be getting a little too close to the truth… her own fiancé, who happens to be directing the documentary.
Monica Arya does it again! There's a reason I will happily pick up anything she writes. This book is an absolute treat for thriller fans, especially fellow millennials!
From the low-rise jeans and over-plucked eyebrows to burned CDs, mean girls, and all the early 2000s drama, this book took me straight back to high school. The nostalgia was EVERYTHING!
While Let Me Show You isn't quite as dark as The Favorite Girl series, it is every bit as unhinged and twisty. The dual timelines worked seamlessly, and the transitions between past and present were brilliantly done. Every time I thought I had things figured out, Monica threw another twist my way and proved me wrong.
I absolutely loved the overall vibe of this book. Between the nostalgic throwbacks, dysfunctional characters, and rollercoaster of twists, I was completely hooked. And I have to mention that there is ONE scene in particular that genuinely gave me nightmares. It's one of those moments that will stick with me for a long time—and not necessarily in a good way!
So grab a bagel, put on your favourite 2000s playlist, and pick up Let Me Show You! You won't regret it (although I can't promise you'll sleep peacefully afterward!).
Release Date: April 6, 2027
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5 rounded up to 5 because of all the nostalgic elements)

Monica Arya did it AGAIN. 👏🏼
Let Me Show You pulled me in so quickly and had me constantly questioning where the story was going. The suspense, the secrets, the twists—I was completely invested and flew through this one.
One of my favorite things about Monica Arya’s books is how easy they are to binge. The chapters keep you saying “just one more,” and before you know it, you’ve read half the book in one sitting. 😂 This one was no different.
There were moments I thought I had everything figured out… and then the story would take another turn. I especially loved how the tension continued building as everything started coming together toward the end.
I’m giving this one 4.5 stars because I genuinely had such a good time reading it. Fast-paced, twisty, addictive, and exactly the kind of thriller I reach for when I want a book that keeps me entertained from beginning to end.

**ARC Review**
I went into *Let Me Show You* knowing there was a twist, and let me tell you, I spent the entire book DYING to figure out what it was. I constantly wanted to put everything else aside and finish it in one sitting.
The anticipation just kept building, and when the twist finally happened… MY JAW WAS LITERALLY ON THE FLOOR. I was genuinely sitting there screaming.
And I mean that in the absolute best way. The kind of twist that makes you immediately want to go back through the book and rethink everything. Monica Arya absolutely got me and I loved every second of it.
I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. The storytelling, the tension, the pacing, and the way everything unfolded kept me completely invested. It was one of those books where I was constantly thinking about it whenever I had to put it down.
And the 2008 references?! Those made my little millennial heart ridiculously happy. 🥹 There’s something so satisfying about those little nostalgic details that instantly transport you back to a specific time, and I absolutely loved them.
Overall, this was such an addictive and entertaining read, and that twist is one I will not be forgetting anytime soon.

September 3, 2026LET ME SHOW YOU by Monica Arya
Monica Arya has officially done it again. She really is the queen of thrillers, and Let Me Show You is another absolute page turner!
One of my favourite things about this book was the millennial aspect. There were so many little details that made it feel nostalgic and relatable, and I absolutely loved that woven into the story.
I also loved the way the book flicks between different points in time. It kept me constantly questioning what had happened, what was going to happen and how everything was going to come together. Every time I thought I had figured something out, I found myself questioning everything again!
And that ending?! My jaw was genuinely on the floor. I absolutely did NOT see it coming and I was left staring at the page thinking WHAT?! 😂 That is exactly what I want from a thriller.
The pacing kept me completely hooked and I genuinely struggled to put it down. Monica has such a brilliant way of creating that feeling where you need to know what happens next.
If you’re a fan of twisty thrillers, unexpected turns and timelines that keep you guessing, you absolutely need this one on your TBR.
Thank you so much for the ARC. I loved this one! 🖤📚

The 2000s called… and apparently they brought secrets, lies and a whole lot of WTF with them.
Okay, the beginning isn't your typical thriller setting at all. Instead, Monica takes us straight back to the good old days, posters covering the walls, flip phones, high-rise jeans and some of the best songs EVER written. The nostalgia was NOSTALGIA-ING.
And it’s dual timeline, which I absolutely love in a thriller.
This is one of those books where you start suspecting EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. Nobody is safe from my accusations. Every time I thought I had something figured out, I was side-eyeing someone else five minutes later.
And when older Mila pulled out those three Barbies to play with... yeah, creepy AF. That whole moment had me like, excuse me, WHAT are we doing here?!
I will say there were a few confusing parts where I felt a little lost for a while and had to get my bearings again. But then those twists started coming and they were pure Monica Arya style. Just when you think you know where she's taking you... nope.
And the ending? Absolutely loved it.

OH. MY. GOD. What did I just read?! 🤯
This book was SO good. So twisted, so completely unpredictable, and exactly the kind of thriller I love. Monica Arya seriously never ceases to shock me. I thought I had figured things out so many times, only to have the story take another turn and leave me completely stunned.
The twists just kept coming, and the way everything came together at the end was WILD. I love when a thriller can genuinely surprise me, and Let Me Show You absolutely delivered. This was one of those books where I kept thinking, “Okay, NOW I know what’s happening,” only to realize I had no idea. 😂
I’ve read Monica’s other books, and she has officially become an author I know I can count on for a seriously twisted story and an ending I will NOT see coming.
I absolutely loved this one. If you like dark, twisty psychological thrillers that keep you guessing, put this on your list.
I’m so grateful to Simon Maverick Books for the advanced copy. What a fantastic ARC to get!

l've been in a THREE-MONTH reading slump, and Let Me Show You completely pulled me out of it. I stayed up all night binging because I genuinely had no idea WTF was happening or where this story was headed - in the best way. Mila moves to NYC to escape her small-town past, only to have it come crashing back when her fiancé directs a true-crime documentary about three missing teenage girls from her hometown... and Mila knows more about what happened than anyone realizes.
Not quite as dark as The Favorite Girl, but possibly Monica Arya's most plot-twist-packed thriller YET. The dual timeline, 2000s nostalgia, murder mystery and Scream-style slasher vibes had me questioning EVERYONE. And if you're a Monica Arya fan like me, you'll love the little Favorite Girl references sprinkled throughout.
Just when I thought I had it figured out - NOPE.
And that ending?! WOW. Add this to your TBR for April 2027!

This story packed the biggest punch from the beginning and kept me locked in until the very end! The throwbacks to youth definitely gave me moments of pure nostalgia as I read an absolute masterpiece of deception and unhingedness.
As an auto-read author for me, the expectations were sky-high, and this book delivered in every way. The pacing never lets up, weaving those fond memories of the past with a slow-burning dread that makes every reveal hit twice as hard. There were a few moments where the timeline got a little tricky to follow, but as an ARC reader, I fully expect those minor early-draft bumps and didn't hold it against the story at all.
Just when you think you’ve figured out where the loyalty lies, the rug gets completely pulled out from under you. The characters are delightfully twisted, the secrets run deep, and the climax is a total wild ride. If you love dark, fast-paced thrillers that keep you guessing and leave you breathless, put this one right at the top of your TBR!

Like many others The Favorite Girl was my first exposure to Monica Arya’s writing, I had to read Let Me Show You as soon as I could.
Imagine growing up knowing your father had teenage girls trapped in the basement. Their bodies were never found, their killer never brought to justice.
Sixteen years later your fiancé sets out to make a documentary about the Sunny Oaks Slayer, threatening to finally expose all of your family’s hidden secrets.
In signature Monica Arya style Let Me Show You is dark, twisted and little bit deranged. It’s intricately plotted, there’s plenty of gore but also a sensitivity to serious issues. The millennial nostalgia is sharply observed and it’s got that addictive pace and flow that encourages you to inhale it cover-to-cover in one sitting.
Fans are going to love it!

First of all I would like to thank Monica herself for giving her team an early ARC of Let Me Show You!
This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it! It had me feeling happy, sad, angry and scared all on the same page! Also the nostalgia in this book brought me back to the good old days of the early 2000’s
I already knew Monica was the Queen of Thrillers but she blew this one out of the park it was amazing. I honestly didn’t have it figured out throughout the whole book I was shocked at the end when I found out who it was! The jaw drop was real let me tell you!
I cannot recommend this book enough! 💿🔪🩸

Omg… WHAT did I just read?! 😳🔥
Monica Arya NEVER disappoints!! Without saying too much and ruining anything, I absolutely LOVED the connection to some of her other books. 👀
The entire time, you’re questioning EVERYTHING. Just when you think you’ve figured something out…
BAM! Shock #1.
BAM! Shock #2.
BAM! Shock #3.
And then… completely out of LEFT FIELD comes that ending! 🤯🤯🤯
I seriously did NOT see it coming. I love a book that keeps me guessing all the way to the very last page, and this one absolutely delivered!
As soon as you can, READ IT. Just trust me. And whatever you do… don’t spoil it for yourself! 😏📖🔥

I have been oh so patiently waiting for another Monica book. You know you are in for a treat when you start one of her books.
I was NOT disappointed. The millenial aspects? Perfection. The twists? HECK TO THE YEAH. And many many many "what the f***s" (in a good way).
I have been craving to read this book when it was announced. Literally could not stop thinking about it. Im so thankful to finally have scratched that itch in my brain.

Oh my goodness…if you are a millennial like me, you will be love all the references to our middle school and high school days! There were even things that I had forgotten about until reading this and it was so fun to reminisce. While not nearly as dark as The Favorite Girl series, Let Me Show You will certainly satisfy your thriller craving
The characters, the setting, the mystery, it’s all there waiting for you to plow through this book..
Thank you so much to Monica Arya and NetGalley for my early ARC!

I just finished this book, and I am still trying to catch my breath! It perfectly captures a nostalgic millennial vibe - think AOL, DVDs, and flip phones. The story completely absorbed me, featuring such fast-paced twists that the plot suddenly spirals out of control.
The massive revelation in chapter 45 literally had my heart pounding with anxiety. Starting this book at midnight probably wasn’t the best idea, but it was so gripping that I couldn’t put it down until I found out how it ended. The lack of sleep was entirely worth it!

Monica Arya knows how to write a thriller that makes you question everyone. Let Me Show You pulled me in from the beginning with its dark secrets, obsession with death, and a mystery that just kept getting messier the deeper I went. I loved the way the tension kept building, and every time I thought I had things figured out, the story made me question myself again.
This was twisty, unsettling, and completely addictive. I absolutely flew through it. 5 stars!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

WOW. This book is SO good!
Honestly, my words won’t even do this one justice. I was hooked from the very beginning, and if adult responsibilities didn’t exist, I would have absolutely devoured this in one sitting.
Monica Arya has definitely done it again! This was such an addictive read, with all the nostalgia feels and twists that had me gasping right up until the very end.
A nostalgic, twisty, unputdownable read that kept me guessing until the final pages. Absolutely love this!

Let Me Show You👀
By Monica Arya💿
Review🍾
I thoroughly enjoy all Monica’s thrillers because they consistently deliver a creepy and suspenseful experience, keeping me on the edge of my seat. This particular one was no exception, being quite twisted and genuinely chilling. The setting in the early 2000s was an enjoyable aspect, and I appreciated all the details, especially the AOL chats! 😂 It was amusing how everyone was either lying or concealing secrets. I was thoroughly surprised by the ending, so kudos to her for leaving me shocked! I can’t wait for her next book.

Read this as an ARC and Monica Never disappointed us. My favorite thing is how she can bring characters from other books into newer books but you don’t have to read the others to understand their story. I thought I knew the outcome of the book let me show you but I definitely didn’t. Even at the end of the story more happened that I didn’t see coming. Monica is the queen of thriller !
