A Fast-Paced Berlin Thriller
This is the first novel by Philip Holmes, and it’s an action-packed thriller set in Berlin, involving the embassies of Canada, Russia and the USA. Holmes makes good use of the lingering tensions and subterfuge between the post-Cold War superpowers, while keeping the characters very human. With most of the action taking place over just a few days, the story has plenty of pace and momentum.
A fun read. Hopefully we’ll be joining Waldemar on more adventures!
